"Long story short, a friend of mine and another of the crew is captured and being held here out in the middle of the Styx. We aim to get her out. That means facing down a lot of bad guys, with not much in the way of support.
You know, lasers, cannons, swords, and a lot of screaming and yelling. The usual."
Though an oversimplified version, it was the truth. This -was- the normal for Adieumus, and anyone else unfortunate enough to be around him. Where ever he went, some kind of conflict was sure to follow...whether started by Adi, or finished. But, the question still begged....why was Fire here...now? The Force certainly did work in mysterious ways.
"We move on the location in a few hours time. It is entirely up to you, but we could use all the support we can get. Evac might be a bit cagey....having a backup plan in case the first goes belly up would go a long way. But enough about that for now...we can fill you in after you meet the crew. Cmon."
Waving for her to follow, Adi re-entered the cargo bay, and smiled. If there was any team that could pull something like this off, it was most certainly this one. Some of the best talent in their fields were standing here...Jedi, Sith, and when Non Com finally got his bunnybutt here, even Mandalorian, would be working together. It was unheard of....even among spacer crews.
They -could- do this. No. They -would- do this. Anna would be rescued...and Adi would give his life if needed to ensure that happened. No one deserved to be held against their will, especially someone as special as Anna. She deserved to live her life as she saw fit...not as someone else thought it should be. Pulling out a datapad, Adi sent the sparse data they had on the mission to everyone present. He then motioned toward the new arrival, and gave the introduction.
"This is my...sister....Fire. She and I go way back, and, if I am not mistaken, wants to help us. I think she can provide backup evac support, as I think things might get pretty hot on the ground. A secondary vessel is going to be a welcome addition. After the mission is complete, the two craft can make their exits together, and make a jump to where ever we decide to go.
Mission begins in six hours. I suggest we get some rest. Review the information I just sent to you, and develop your plan of action from there. Don't think too deep into it...If they are using her abilities, they will know we are coming. The less we have in our heads, the less they can see, and predict.
Any questions?"
He looked around the cargo bay, catching the eyes of everyone present. He waited to hear if anyone had anything else to add, folding his arms across his chest.

Alora watched Antidar toss the organ on the table, and begin to speak, motioning violently with his hands to several members of the crew, as if he were some conductor of a vast orchestra- except he wasn't, and this team was no orchestra. She listened to him speak, between his pauses and attempts to find the perfect word which would show his disdain for them all, in the best light.
Well he certainly was a performer, Raven had to give him that. She sighed and leaned back against the wall, crossing her arms in a nonchalant manner, belying the tension she'd shown just a few minutes earlier when Adieumus left the ship.
I would hope that everyone on this crew would take care to remember the objectives. She began, seriously. If Zendora taught her one thing- it was to be straight faced in front of your soldiers, your friends, and your enemies- when lives were at stake.
Personal feelings aside, I know from experience, that Anna would rather die than continue to be exploited for the cause of seeing the future. So- regrettably, if that be the case, than so be it. Though, I would expect you all to preform as if someone's life is on the line- because she is, alive that is. Any action she takes a against us, while under that machine's influence, is no intent of her own- please, try to remember that.
She spoke calmly, her radiant aura slowly growing as she spoke. She took in a breath, eyes flicking to Adieumus as he returned with yet another person trailing him. The Jedi master smiled warmly at the newcomer, but turned her face away when Adieumus said they would begin in six hours, and that everyone should get some rest.
Rest? What? Now?
Alora narrowed her eyes, deciding that a well rested team was better off than one who was running on fumes. Still, she felt such an unease, a bend in the force- in a way it was never intended to bend. Anna was important, but the force itself was wounded with this strange merging of itself and technology, and the Jedi Master knew that it had to be stopped.

A little irritated squeak shot from the dragon as her eyes popped opened and she narrowed them at Zee. Pulling the puffy cotton piece she'd chewed off closer to herself, she arched her back and glared defensibly. She showed her teeth again, but this time, her eyes were on Zee, and not on the cotton stick. Zee was quickly learning a fact about dragons. Or at least Meeka specifically. And that was that they could be very moody. That or female dragons also experienced PMS. Well, this fight was on like Donkey Kong. Their size in relation to one another made it a very accurate statement. He then turned tail, and ran for the edge of the bed. In this open space, Meeka had the advantage. He needed to even the odds. So, he jumped off the edge, using the force to soften his landing. He didn't take a moment to check back, certain Meeka was following him as he rushed beneath he bed. In such a confined space, she wouldn't be able to fly around. Plus, it was more like a dragons cave down here, from his understanding of such things. He did his best to dodge her attacks, whilst trying to get in a couple jabs of his own. It was then, that he sensed the approach of his Mistress. Quickly running out from beneath the bed, he stopped and waved at her"Hi! Welcome back!"

Eya was sitting on her bed, when she suddenly heard a voice. Looking down at her feet, she saw Zee. She couldn't help the smile that came to her face. Who knew what kind of trouble he got himself into. Putting her hand down, she laid it flat on the floor, so he could climb up.
"Where have you been? Not in my bras again, were you?"
She couldn't help but smile at that. It was annoying but for some reason, she let him get away with it. If anyone else tried to go through her clothes, she would have smacked them across the face.

*Just how many more arrivals would there be before this mission actually got underway? Not that Atton was complaining about the extra manpower for what was obviously going to be a very dangerous mission. Of course he could complain if he wanted to about certain members of this team, especially the fellow who carried around organs for the sheer hell of it. Seriously, what was that guy's deal? Maybe it would be best not to ask.
Still, even if some of the crew here weren't the nicest bunch around, there was no doubt a variety of skill sets and abilities, as well as whatever the hell kind of armor Adi was packing. They just might pull this off. Except the enemy knew damn well that they were coming, thanks to that seer they had hooked up to whatever horrible contraption they had cooked up. Honestly the idea of someone, anyone being forcibly used like that was horrible any way one looked at it. If there was one thing Atton could not tolerate in the galaxy, it was pointless cruelty. People who had a callous disregard for sentient life could irk him like no other thing could.
Well that and bad liquor. But that was a rather distant second, and not important at the moment.
With that in mind, Atton moved towards Adi, figuring now would be as good a time as any to get a few more details about how he was getting to the surface. Usually he didn't need anything for a mission besides his lightsabers and his wits, but if there was something else he needed, now was the time to find out.*"OK so I have to ask: If you and I are taking out the turbolasers, just how am I getting grounside?"
*Atton couldn't help but have a bad feeling about Adi's answer.*

Loki huffed at Antidar, a smirk crossing his face, he walked forward slowly, and brought his hands together twice, making loud smacking sounds as he surveyed the room he looked at Atton and winked with his good eye. Then he nodded at Alora and looked at Antidar as his hand stretched forward and picked up the Organ. “I would like to elaborate on the tiny Jedi’s observation.” Loki said calmly, he seemed to be talking to the room but his eyes were only on Antidar. “If Anna dies, so will one of you.” Loki said calmly, still looking at Antidar, slowly his fist clenched around the heart, he held his fist over the crate and dropped the smashed muscle on the table, Loki turned to Atton now his fingers still coated in gore. “You’ll be jumping of course. From the ship.” He said calmly, Loki looked down at Alora and smiled as he walked over and wiped his hands on a rag.
Loki turned and eyeballed Fire, and nodded respectfully at her, walking back to the center he looked at everyone. “Now, no more talk of planning we must do much of this by ear..thanks to my interaction with Anna in the void, they know we are coming and perhaps by now the basics of our strike..so remember these words well. Think quick, move faster, and do not stop until we reach the goal, me and Raven shall take things from there, try not to kill doctors, they are most likely prisoners.” Loki said his tone never changing from the calm almost friendly tone he had spoken with. “And may the force serve us all.” Loki uttered loud enough for them to hear. Loki's face suddenly turned downcast as he looked at Raven, both of whom had not left the ship since their arrival. His eyes widened as he too felt a pull from the force. "Adi..do you think its wise to rest when they have a seer? Every minute we waste is more time and insight gained from the enemy...from Anna...." Loki said, he seemed much more uneasy then he had moments ago, blasted force, He needed to figure that out for him self, he wans't one to be pulled one way and another. It was unsettling.

"Sinina, we start in six hours. Between now and then, review the information in this datapad." Adi handed the device to the young woman. "You didn't seem to have one when you got on board, so keep it. Let me know where you think you can help us out."
Adi turned to Loki. The Zabrak was quite passionate. The words he spoke were powerful, and filled with conviction. It was apparent that he was chaos-bent on getting this show on the road...but right now? He would have to understand.
"We all need rest, as I am quite sure that none of us have had any for quite some time. I know we are all jazzed up right now, and ready to go...but a rested mind is a clear mind. We can't have poor decisions made on sleep-deprived brains. I understand you think its foolish, Loki...but if they already know we are coming, what does it matter when it happens? They will know our every move until we hit the lab anyway. If they wanted her dead...Anna would be dead.
We can afford a few hours to get some sleep.
Now, Atton...you will be jumping out with me. Don't worry, I have a plan for that too...but I think it's better I tell you a little closer to the jump. You'll be fine! I promise!"
Adi winked, as if to say to Atton "Trust me!! I know what I'm doing!!"....but he also knew that, unless Atton had a jet pack hidden in his underwear, there was about one choice for getting him groundside....
...And he was quite sure that Atton wouldn't like it.

*Sinina nods as she takes the Datapad and nods at Adi, she smiles sheepishly, they really hadn't had much time for her to get to know anyone, and the last time she'd seen Adi himself, she'd smacked him upside the head. Loki she'd spat Mando'a insults at. She sighs softly as she wordlessly taken the datapad, she moved off to sit off by herself, her eyes focused on the datapad, she was a quick study. As she read, she couldn't help but think of how outcast she felt from everyone here. Maybe NCO was right, maybe it was a thankless job, maybe it wasn't the best way to spend her time. She also couldn't help but think how she wished he'd came with her. At least he'd paid her some mind. Even if she felt like she'd made a fool of herself most of that time, and repeatedly put her foot in her mouth. She shakes her head lightly as she read more, she planned to memorize the entire thing, not that it would take her long to do so. She made sure to pay attention to her surroundings at the very least, because if someone else had something to add, she had better be paying attention to see it. She didn't want to miss anything important, in a situation as this, any missteps or lack of attention could get someone, especially Anna, killed. And she did not want that.

After catching some much needed sleep, Eya left Zee to his own devices and headed out of the room. She needed to find the others and see what is going on. She hated that her father was going into battle, yet again, but she could see honor in it. She hardly knew anyone on this ship but she would fight the best that she could. She smiled down at the package that she held in her hands. This package could change everything, and she knew her father had left it for her. No one else knew about it. Smiling to herself, she headed to where the others were, only to see another new comer and the girl from Naboo. She looked around looking for the helmet head, but didn't see him anywhere. Shrugging, she sat down beside the girl, putting the package on her lap. If stuff was about to go down, she wanted front row seats. It was the only way to keep tabs on her father. She couldn't have him going off and "dying" again. Mentally rolling her eyes at everyone. She wanted to call them all idiots. They were so rearing for a fight that they don't even care about rest. Did they not see that not getting rest, gave the enemy a slight advantage? Even a small one, is all it took for things to go bad. It was like going in blind. She surprised herself by agreeing with her father. That didn't happen very often. She leaned over, putting her elbows on her knees, and rested her head in her hands. She was gonna stay silent and just watch, when frustration won out.
"You know, the longer we argue, the longer it is gonna take for us to get there. Wouldn't it just be easier to rest and get it over with? The amount of time you are taking arguing over it, you could have done it and we could have been on our way."
She knew she was drawing attention her way, but she didn't care. How could a teenager, like herself, have more common sense than most adults. She looked at Adi and shook her head. She knew why, Adi did this to everyone. It was bound to happen. They would all fall in line like good little soldiers.

*The look on Atton's face could best be described as the best way to convey utter and complete mistrust towards another's reassurances of "you'll be OK" without actually saying anything. To say that Atton had any faith in Adi's plan at this point would be like saying that Tatooine was rather temperate in the summer. Hell, Adi had literally dragged him onto the ship, and now it seemed he was about to be literally dragged down to the surface to fight Force knows what. Just what was it with this guy?
And that big Zabrak wasn't helping either. Easy for a giant horned person to be all nonchalant about leaping from a ship. That wasn't to say that Atton couldn't do it, but it definitely wasn't his favorite exit method. If only he had a jetpack somewhere...
He heaved a sigh.*"Whatever you say. I'm gonna get some rest then. *A good, stiff drink also sounded really good, but getting piss drunk before a dangerous mission was poor judgment, to put it mildly. So instead, Atton would just find a quiet spot on the ship and curl up for a few hours...*

Alora caught the Zabrak's eye and gave him a thin, reassuring smile. Peering up at him, she spoke quietly, If it's easier for you- You can just pretend I'm not a jedi. everyone else does. And- actually, Adieumus is right. They're going to hit us with everything they have, including Anna, and- I know from experience. She hits hard. We'll need our strength, you, especially. She closed her eyes, and spoke softer. The best thing you can do for her now- is be strong enough to defeat her- I know that from experience too.
Nodding, the Jedi turned and walked toward Sinina and E'yame. She looked down at Adi's daughter with a thin frown and an understanding look on her face.
I use to be just like you when I was your age. It might be annoying- but your father has a special desire to help people, people who can't help themselves. it's a rare gift, but like all gifts, it comes at a price. She put a gentle hand on the girl's shoulder. Just don't let that price be you. I have a feeling he'll need you soon.
Turning her attention to Sinina, she noted the girl with a critical eye. She'd seen her jump out in front of law officers on Naboo, and, at least Raven thought, she was acquainted with the Mandalorians. She considered that though Loki was powerful, and she was an avid force user, both would be very occupied when seeing to Anna's mental state. The young Echani might be useful, and, she looked kind of lost. Raven remembered the Bantha in the headlights look very well. Hey, The jedi said with a slight smile and nod. I haven't found an exit buddy yet. Do you want to be it? She asked You see- you're taller than I am, and that's got to count for something. Think about it, and let me know when we're ready to go. I don't know much of anybody on this ship, like you, so we can be confused together.
With a short lived grin, she glanced around and felt a sudden wave of slight vertigo wash over her. True she had slept on the way here, but something called her mind to rest again. She just hoped it wouldn't take as long to awaken as ...last time. Glancing over at Adieumus, she called out to him. I'm taking your advice. If i'm not back within the hour, come in after me. With a grin, she turned from them, her expression falling to a strange flat line as she entered the bunk she'd found empty, for herself, and shut the door.
================================================================
Setting on the bed, she removed her formal Jedi robes and balled them up, tossing them unceremoniously in the corner. With eager hands, she untwinned her tight braid and let her long brown hair flow where ever it wanted to. With a sigh, the Jedi master closed her eyes, and flopped backwards on the bed,
And that's when she heard him.
<<<What has become of my Seer?>>>
Alora's eyes snapped opened, but she wasn't on the ship anymore. She felt the hot, sticky air cover her in the familiar blanket of Felucia's atmosphere. It had been years sense she'd stepped foot on her beloved Felucia and she longed to dig her fingers into its rich, damp soil. But as she looked down, she saw only ash. Blinking rapidly, she suddenly shivered and glanced upward. The sight made the mark on her chest flare with pain and she clutched at it as Legoin's figure faded into view. The Jedi's teeth clinched, in something akin to rage.
Shouldn't you know? Don't you know everything that happens to her? Despite the fact that she is NOT your seer?
I do not feel her. I cannot find her. The demon's visage suddenly flared with fire which ignited his ember like eyes. WHERE IS SHE? What has your kind done to her?!
Alora watched as Legion's flames quickly flickered out, and she remained undaunted. You're weak. I sense it. Perhaps that is why you cannot feel her. Perhaps she has finally cut your corrupt tether you bound her with. Perhaps, she's free, of you, at least.
Legion grinned and shook his head. But she is not free... I'll ask once more. What has become of my seer?
Raven's chest lit on fire and she looked down to see the small, seemingly minuscule mark glowing brilliant crimson. She took in a slow, painful breath and forced herself to remain upright as she peered hard at the demon. You- no longer....deserve to know.
Legion growled and clinched his long fingered fist as he glared at the defiant little Jedi- who, honestly, hardly resembled a jedi at all, anymore. I am- stronger than you think. The darkside is always stronger than you think. You can never defeat it, and she can never defeat me. Eventually- you will answer my question....
Raven felt her breath completely leave her, and within her mind, she finally fell to her knees. She felt the stabbing sensation of the Demon's diminishing power, but it still hurt, it still caused her muscles to stop working, but she refused to speak to him anymore.
In her bunk, the Jedi master's fists were clinched in what seamed like a death grip and her teeth were clinched in defiance. at least for now, waking was absolutely out of the question, and at least for the moment, she was unsure what state she would wake up in. Apparently, sleep was pointless- it had been for quite some time.

"The usual," Fire said after Adiemus. "then again, you never were one for the doldrums of a simple life, were you?"
As she spoke, the girl's hands animatedly moved about, perpetually pointing upwards with her index fingers. On a whim, she stumbled halfway around her brother, before pausing, as if quite forgetting what she was about to do. This was in fact because her writer had rather similarly forgotten what the hell she was doing, before entering into this section of the paragraph, and decided to let everyone in on the fact for...well...for fun, really, what other reason could there be for making you read this entire section until you realize too late that this was going no where really fast. But not to worry, because the writer has now just remembered what she was going to write.
She was writing something.
I know...what an exponential and enlightening revelation of cosmic proportions. But we can't all be karking George R. R. Martin, now, can we?
Thankfully, all was to be saved from long-winded expositions of useless words by none other than the prestigious Adiemus Matango, who saw fit to bring the universal weirdness of Fire Matango to a public forum that made many think of saying something along the lines of "...for your breakfast, eat hearty, for tonight, we dine in HECK!!!"
It was well known that Fire was tiny for a person, but do not question the logic of how she was able to hit her head enough to knock her hat off, only to catch it in one smooth, drunken motion, and had her hat on right back where it was, completely engulfing her head. Onward she stumbled, until she was well within the confines of a fine ship, with it's fine crew of fine folk from all fine and not-so-fine walks of like, if it could be called that at that! Eyeing all the individuals with a once-over, not making it quite clear that she was even truly aware of their presence, the very gratitationally impaired Fire unsteadily rocked from one foot to the other as Adiemus introduced her, and she grinned and waved drunkenly at anyone and everyone, or no one at all, "Nice to meet you, mates!"
All the back-and-forth about resting and not resting intrigued her poorly, and she was taking an interest at an imaginary speck in the bulkhead, before reaching out to grasp at an imaginary ball of light that happened to be going right by Atton's nose, to which she merely flashed a toothy grin, and once everyone was persuaded to rest, she gestured with her hands like a mad conductor, and said, "Well then, that is something I can do quite well..."
She abruptly fell backwards and with a loud plop, was flat on the ground. If landing in such a manner hurt her, the girl made no indication of it, but merely pulled her hat down over her face and proceeded to take a nap right where she lay in the middle of the room. "Mind me form, lads and lassies," Fire said, "I'm rather hoping not to get far too much footprints on myself before I awake."
Adiemus said the less planning the better. Well, that suited her perfectly. Beyond perfectly. Because she always made it up as she went along. Why change that now?

*Sinina glanced at the woman to sit next to her, she knew she was the daughter of Adi, whom she'd smacked some sense into, or so she hoped. She smiles politely at her and kept reading about the plan, though she kept glancing out of the corner's of her eye at the package in the woman's lap, she had always had the curious nature about her, which probably is why she always found herself in troublesome situations.*
So what is in your package?
*She asked politely and set the datapad down on her own lap, she kept glancing out to make sure she wasn't missing anything from anyone else, but kept her attention on Eya for the moment. Though, the woman's attention wasn't fully on her for too long because Raven walks up to her to speak to her as well. She was a bit surprised by the offer for being her exit buddy, she wanted to help, and here was an offer, how would she say no to that. She nods to Raven and smiles some more, her confidence feeling higher already.*
Sure, I will do what I can to help.

Eya was shocked when she heard the girl talk to her. Looking down at her lap, she smiled. She couldn't believe that her father had actually done it. She caught his eye and smiled at him, making a motion to the package. It was a thank you, that even he understood. Looking back over to the girl, she knew that she couldn't divulge what it was yet, but it wouldn't stop her, from making everyone else more interested in it. She smiled at her and picked it up.
"It's an emergency procedure, I might not even have to use it."
She stated as a fact, feeling good about what was to come. She knew that most people would be scared about failing, but she knew her ego came from that man over there, and he had his own. She knew they would win, she could feel it. Suddenly a woman was standing in front of them. She stared at the women, her mouth gaped open. Rolling her eyes, she laid the package back on her lap, and went back to listening to everyone.
Suddenly, a woman just fell over onto the floor. She couldn't help but giggle. She had met Fire, once before, a long time ago. The woman probably didn't even remember her. Everyone else in the room was silent, but Eya sat there, busting out laughing. It was the first time she laughed in a long while, at least like this. She had tears rolling down her face. Suddenly she could feel all eyes on her and that just made her want to laugh harder. Didn't they get how funny that was? Her laughter seemed to dim, but a huge smile was still on her face.

Eya nodded at him, and Adi just smiled back. He was truly hoping she wouldn't need to use it...but who knows what kind of nightmarish hell they would encounter in trying to rescue Anna? Anything could happen, and in that case, there was no one else he trusted more to take the proper actions. Raven had exited, and Fire had begun her...erm...nap. Everyone was getting ready for what was starting to look like a far more daunting task than originally thought.
Taking his leave, Adi walked by Eya and tousled her hair, smiling the entire time. If she was anything like her father at that age, he -hated- his hair messed up.
As he walked down the corridor toward his bunk, he could feel something...odd...coming from Raven's sleeping chamber. Her aura was way way off...and there was a very sharp tinge of darkness staining her normally-shimmering light. He opened the door, only to see her fists clenched, along with her teeth. Her breath was coming in ragged gasps, and she appeared to be in distress. Matango, concerned for what might be attacking her, felt the force coming to him like a wave. He ran to her side, and attempted to wake her up. He needed to shake her out of her dream before she caused herself physical harm. Sitting her up, he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her close, and attempted to calm her by a technique she had taught him inadvertently. Waves of energy, meant to soothe and relax her, emanated from him. He held her close, gently rocking her back and forth, hoping she wouldn't snap and kill him, should she wake up and feel threatened.
He was relying on the fact that she had always shown such self control when she was around him, luckily enough. He was hoping this time would be no different.
"I gotcha, Raven. I won't let anyone harm you. If someone wants to hurt you, they will have to kill me to accomplish it. Just come back to us.
It's just a dream.....Dreams can only harm you if you let them....
Come back...
....to me."
Wait...what the hell did he just say?!?!? The words were out of his mouth before he could even stop them. But why? Why had he said that?

The pressure was building. Weight pressed down upon Raven so heavily she thought she might cave in. A warm, nearly hot feeling would come from Raven's chest as Adi held her, and a burning light could even be seen through her shirt if he looked. It was a secret, Raven did not actively keep, yet never discussed unless asked- that Legion had not only enslaved Anna for a time, but had Marked the Jedi master as well. At one time she thought she may loose herself to his influence, which drove Alora away for two years in the first place. And she had cleansed it. She was free.
Until Yavin- that dark... child entity, the death of her soldiers. And she pondered, concluding that Anna would never be in this position if she had of taken responsibility for a member of her conclave rather than running off. And now- despite her sacrifices of her students, her friends and her planet, the demon would have his way regardless.
Come back....
Come back? To where? Why?
Well because- she was a Jedi no matter how much she tried to deny it, or acted like she wanted to. She was Raven Alora and more importantly, she had defeated this demon before. She could do it again. Clinching her fists, in reality her body became rigid in Adi's arms. For a second her breath stopped completely, then her eyes snapped opened, orbs of perfect silver as she looked up at the Legion.
You will NEVER break me!
She called aloud as bright, white light engulfed her, expanding outward at a staggering speed, expelling anything dark in her vicinity and causing it to whither. She hadn't used force light in what felt like years- but it felt so natural, so invigorating, so...right. But of course she had no idea she was wrapped in the arms of a caring, but currently gray-ish jedi type person. All she knew was the important fact that she was awake- and Legion was far, far away.

A twisting in his gut, a very hard thump in his chest, and the Force Light washed over Adieumus. It was like getting hit from one of the massive rogue waves that covered Manaan, and it slammed into the Arkanian with a massive thud, knocking the wind out of him...blasting him with an unexpected full-body shot of pure lightsided energy.
But he would not let go.
He had let go of too many people in the past few years to once again give up so easily. He could feel something burning against his own chest, an orange-yellow light emanating from something on Raven's own. He had no idea what it was, but it was starting to sear itself into Adi's own chest now as well, so intense was the light.
Again, he refused to release her.
No matter how powerful the storm, no matter how fierce the opposition...no one would be left behind ever again. Raven needed him right now, and he would be there.
"You will NEVER break me!"
The mark burned into him, and the pain was intense, but he held tight, gritting his teeth behind closed lips. The force light had caused such a headache that his head felt like it was going to explode. At the same time, his stomach was threatening to empty its contents, and his heart was beating at a very rapid pace. Sweat poured from his brow, and his breathing was intensifying. It was a departure from the other times he had been exposed to the attack...and it was a little unsettling. In the past, force light had merely brushed him with but a kiss....this time, it had hit him like a star destroyer to the chin. The struggle was real.
And still, he held fast.
Pain wracked his body, his eyes were watering, his head splitting...and through sheer will, he kept to his task. Looking into her eyes, he could see they were wide open. He could see fear, pain, anguish...all things that did not show themselves in this woman. He needed to get her to realize what was going on...
"I'm here, Raven. You're ok...." He kept his voice calm, soothing, even through the pain tearing into him. "I'm going to keep you safe....I promise you."

Raven's eyes fluttered as the silver in them diminished and the light ebbed away from her. Slowly she lifted her head, fully awake now and gently drifting out of the fold of the light back into reality. She jerked when she saw someone was holding her, and that someone was Adi.
Adirumus?
She said, rather startled. scooting away slightly she glanced around the room, part of her feeling confident in her absolute blasting of the force Demon, and part of her confused as to why Adi felt the need to hold her. Was she doing something unsettling? Looking down and uncurling her fingers, she saw small streaks of blood where her nails had pierced her palms. And her jaw hurt. She must have been in a clinched up paralytic state- again.
Adi, I'm fine. There was just- just some trouble. It's passed now. Sorry for startling you.
She looked him over and blinked, gasping slightly, realizing what her attack on the Legion might have done to someone with such a mixed signature in such close quarters. Her expression became very apologetic.
Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. Are you alright?
She asked, shaking her head almost in embarrassment. True, she felt a little winded, and it still hurt to breathe, but she could only imagine what Adi's body felt like after such an intense, allbeit quick burst of pure lightside energy.
We all have our demons.....
She said with a steady sigh.
Sorry you got caught up the fight against mine.
She hadn't moved out of his embrace, and even now, she remained there, closing her eyes and catching her breath.

The pain from the burst was subsiding...She said she was fine, but the episode he had just been privvy to had shown him that it was far from 'fine'. She was most certainly correct though....they all -did- have their demons.
"I'll fight at your side any time. Getting caught up in fights is what I seem to be able to do best. I consider it karma for what I did back on Yavin, to be honest. Fair turnaround, so to speak..."
He smiled. Let it up to him to turn a serious situation into something humorous. He could feel her breathing slow, and her heart wasn't thumping as hard as it had been a few moments ago. Something felt right having her in his arms....like she was meant to be there. Laying his head against hers, he, too, closed his eyes. A quiet sigh escaped his lips as he was able to feel her starting to calm down.
That went better than expected. Painful...but better than expected.
"Y'know...I don't know if I like the idea of you getting into the thick of things like this. Not to take anything away from your combat expertise...but are you sure you are ready for this? Some of us might not be coming back alive, you know. These guys mean business."
It was then that the thought struck him....Someone might not be coming back from this. He had pushed the thought of losing someone to the back of his mind until now. Holding Raven in his arms made him realize just how much was on the line here. Adieumus himself felt very small...very mortal..at that moment. A chill went up his spine, and he released the small Jedi Master.
"I know you probably won't listen...and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. I just have a bad feeling about this."
His head dropped, and his elbows fell to his knees. He kept holding back what he really wanted to say to Raven, even though it was right on the tip of his tongue. He knew that now was most certainly not the time for such things...but at the same time, it was. He didn't know what to do, what to say. The sudden confusion had settled in before he had a chance to realize that it had. It was a bit unsettling, even more than the effects of the force light...
...Then again...feelings always -were- the breaker of balance...

*Sinina had frowned slightly intrigued and confused by what that was supposed to mean, but nods at Eya politely, she didn't want to make any enemies on this ship of strangers, she imagined they were alot tighter knit then she knew. She bites her lip softly.*
Well, having a plan in place is a good idea.
*She had continued to sit there, not really having a place that she'd been shown to and just lets herself meditate lightly, she wanted to be aware, but rested. She waited a til she'd had time to think things over, and relax for a while, she then stood up gingerly stretching out a bit. She then took a moment to get ready, her skirt folded and moved to be sit about 6 inches above her knees, and revealed a weapons belt hidden in its pleats which she wrapped around her waist and it hung off of hips, on it were a westar-34 blaster, a single bladed lightsaber, and a few supplies and tools. She then made sure that her long silver hair was done up into a very tight bun high ontop of her head. She may not be battle hardened but she knew she could be useful. She felt much more confident now then when she'd first walked in to see the plan.
She turns to walk from their to find Raven's room, she had decided fully that she would like to go with her. She walked purposefully that way, she didn't want to second guess herself or to lose the confidence she'd found in the past several hours. She bites her lip as she reached Raven's door, hesitating slightly her closed fist hovering just away from the door, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she rapped every so lightly upon the door.*
