The barest flicker of intent was the only warning she had, but it was enough to keep her arms free. She waggled her fingers in his face, "All it takes is my hands, well, fingers specifically." she arched an eyebrow tauntingly. No one steered with their feet!
Now there was the tricky question. Stay here. Does he mean stay here on the wall? Or, stay here on Etti IV---with him? And I cannot ask about this.
It is a good thing that breathing is an involuntary action because if it required conscious thought, Jade might have been halfway to suffocation while she was thinking. She attempted a light-hearted, bantering reply, "Well, perhaps the problem is that two many people have their eyes on my back."

-Z'har Well, in my defense, it is a very nice back to have my eyes on.
There was a silence for a moment, He hadn't really expect her to agree to stay in the citadel forever. She had her own life after all. However that didn't mean that they couldn't stay together. Other than the rarity of this body, he didn't have any practical reason why he needed to stay inside the citadel. It might also be a good thing to go back out amongst the random masses again. Not as the Admiral, but as a simple face in the crowd.
-Z'har Of course, you don't have to stay here. The gates are open to you after all. But maybe it is time that I walked the galaxy again. I have been away for a good while though. I might need a guide.

Jade was pretty convinced that 'back' was not the anatomically correct moniker for what the Admiral had just confessed to having his eyes on. Still, she was flattered. Though, if anyone else had evinced a similar opinion they would be regretting it right about now. She sighed. "I guess we should talk, though, put me down. I do not conduct negotiations from this sort of position!" Jade didn't simply hand out advantages.
As tempting as the offer to remain in Mondder was, she knew she couldn't just agree. She had too many responsibilities now. But, that didn't mean she couldn't visit. If she had any say in the matter, there would not be decades between herself and Z'har this time. Or...had he just offered to come with her? She blinked, then looked up at him narrowly to see what he was about and nearly lost herself in a pair of dark eyes gazing right back at her. "I'm sure a man with as many talents as yourself is more capable of being a guide than needing one..." she replied quietly.

Setting her down, Z'har leans back against the crenelations that ran along the edge of the wall.
-Z'har True, I probably could. But it wasn't long after we last parted ways that I began to withdraw from the galaxy at large. Most of my interacts this last decade or so haven't even been in person. Orders given over comms, the occasional rare appearance in the walk tank that is my 'armour'. A guide would be a great help.
I have to say, that isn't the sole reason I'm asking you. In honesty, if you didn't come crashing into my life again, I probably wouldn't have left the Citadel anytime in the next thousand years. If that soon.

Jade hopped up to sit comfortably in one of the crenellations as this placed her on a bit more level footing with Z'har. Now actually she was a bit higher than him though he was tall enough that he was still above her knee from where she was positioned. She placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, considering for a few moments what to say.
The tenor of my thoughts was a too convoluted for me to fully trace out in the moment, but I know that I enjoy his presence. I would like him to be part of my life. But, at the same time, we are on opposite sides of a fence. And while I deal with that personally and accept the risks for myself, I am responsible for the lives of others.
"Well," she finally spoke, "I would enjoy seeing you more, at least on a semi-regular basis, even on Corellia perhaps. But, given that my life and reputation would then be staked on you and your conduct," she hesitated, looking down at him with eyes that reflected inner turmoil that eventually settled into calm, "if you endanger the Jedi Order specifically upon Corellia, I do have the power to stop you." Given the seemingly mutual trust between the two of them, though both of them often challenged each other, they both had things they preferred to remain private. "At the very least," she leaned towards him, a half-smile twitching at the corners of her lips, "you'd be missing this body," she lightly carried through her movement and brushed a kiss against his lips.

A nod was his main response. The worries that she listed where very valid, but she had failed to take into account one big thing. To his family was the most & only important thing. The drive was not restricted to blood either, in a way everyone that worked in his company was a part of his family.
-Z'har I guarantee that I would do nothing that would cause difficulties for you. At least none that are avoidable. Additionally, I have no argument with the Jedi Order. My plan was to stay out of this latest mindless crusade.

Jade's eyes narrowed as she considered him closely. For all she knew his definition of 'avoidable' might lay lightyears away from her own. Still, she wished to trust him, in spite of the cynical inner voice that insisted on reminding her of all times she'd trust someone and been proven drastically wrong. Even blood relations could not always be relied on.
"In that case, I would greatly enjoy seeing you." She wondered whether among the Jedi he would rediscover his connection to the Force. That would be an interesting experiment.

It would be a lie to say that Z'har hadn't felt some worry in asking. He had, in fact, felt quite a bit. She had also invited him to Corellia, which showed a fair bit of trust on her own side. He would have to be careful if he did decide to let her host him there. Despite his claim that he wished to stay out of the war, he doubted the Jedi would care much. posing as a simple commoner would probably be the best disguise. The fact that only three people in the galaxy knew that he appeared much younger than his actual age would help tremendously. Everyone who knew of him also knew that he was over a century old. That & a completely legitimate, if false, identification would be his best defense.
-Z'har I'm already looking forward to seeing the sights on Corellia. I don't believe I've ever set foot on the planet before. Oh course, I woln't be walking in the front door proclaiming my identity. I woln't have to, as this body has a complete identity & records from the CSA. Being in control of a government from behind the scenes does have its benefits after all.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am Z'har Desmond, mid-level inter-cultural liaison for a construction company based out of the CSA.

Naturally Jade was too dignified to laugh, but "At least you kept the same first name, less confusion and potential mishap this way, although---" she let the last word drag out as she hopped off the wall and slowly circumambulated his newly introduced self before challenging him to meet her gaze directly, at which point she inquired, "Does this mean we have to get to know each other all over again?" She arched her eyebrows nearly up into her hair quizzically, placing her hands on her hips as she spoke.
Having him on Corellia would indeed be interesting. It would be a new experience for him to act the part of someone with much less power and authority than he'd been used to for decades now. Once one has become familiar with command it is hard to set that aside.
She would show him the sunset from the old Last-Dark cantina in Coronet City, if it was still there. She hadn't actually visited the city since she'd arrived planetside. She frowned. That was indeed an oversight and something she'd rectify in the near future. "Coronet City is both beautiful and dangerous. As well as corrupt and whatnot. Basically, a typical capital city with its own unique attractions."

An image of Taung shivered into the air when the program activated.
I am reporting that I have tracked down a Jedi Base on Carida, attacked, and destroyed the planet. One Jedi who was on location was Adieumus Matango, he is suspected to have escaped the battle before the planet was destroyed. I have issued a public challenge to the Jedi and Sith to do battle at Kuat. I intend to take the fight to the enemy and dare them to fight honorably or I have threatened to destroy their planets one by one. All vode are invited to attend. Attached are battle recordings.
With that Taung's image flickered out.

He smiled as he thought over exactly want she probably had in mind.
-Z'har I'm certain that additionally re-acquainting ourselves would do no harm. As for the dangers, that is why I have you with me. After all, what do I have to fear with you over me?
The double meaning of his words made his smile grow even larger. It was something he knew she would notice. The thought of seeing the galaxy again & mingling with the commoners certainly didn't hurt either.
Elsewhere in the Citadel, one of the communication officers received the message from Taung H'rel. Not knowing the significance of the name included, the clerk marked it as a War-Related update & of moderate-low importance before forwarding it to the list of things needing the admiral's attention.

"What?---oh." She blinked and focused on the current conversation. It was certainly more pleasant than other things. Emerald fire flickered in the depths of her eyes as she looked up at him, "I'm probably more dangerous to you than they are..." the diminutive female let that trail off into silence, letting him know that his meaning had not eluded her.

-Z'har Well, you do have certain advantages over them in that regard.
He casual states as he scoops her off her feet again.
-Z'har How long do you plan on staying here before returning to the rest of the galaxy?

"Oh indeed?" She smiled warmly, in a mind to test these advantages in the future. But for now--- she had enjoyed this visit and seeing Z'har again much more than she had envisioned, much more than she had dared to allow herself to hope. But, she did have responsibilities. Right now they involved Terra Kiros and the Corellian Academy.
Emerald eyes looked up into his own black ones as she answered his question with a gentle caress of his cheek with her fingertips, "I suppose I could stay with you tonight," she leaned up and brushed her lips lightly against his from the vantage point of his arms as he threw dignity to the winds and picked her up again, "if, and only if...you ask nicely."

It was true that he also had things that he had to take care of. However, one of the benefits of being the primary ruler of a nation was a large supply of capable help willing to step in & prove their worth. He could afford to spend a little time becoming readjusted to the galaxy. A mischievous glint enters his eye.
-Z'har Very well, I shall ask ye nicely my lady. Shall I ask standing? Or do you prefer on bended knee?

Z'har kneeling before her---now, there was a funny thought. Given their height difference, it meant he'd be looking up at her, but not by a whole lot. She smiled. That probably would not be a position he found himself in very often. She was tempted...but, things being as they were, did not give in. This time. "I was thinking more of it being in the way you asked me, as opposed to positioning---don't kneel. Not now. That would be," a stray wave of black hair momentarily covered her eyes from his scrutiny, and when she tossed her head to flick it out of the way, roguish green eyes looked up at him, "distracting," she finished her thought.

He smiled as he returns her to her feet & started walking back toward the fortress, one arm still wrapped around her waist.
-Z'har Not now? Well, I guess I'll just have to save that gift for later then. In all seriousness though, it would please me greatly if you were to stay with me longer. I can arrange transport tomorrow to wherever it is that you find yourself drawn to. Once my own personal business out there is done, I will contact you to decide the time & place out our next meeting.

"I would enjoy it also," she replied with a smile. "Or, I might contact you first. One never knows." With that enigmatic response, she slipped away from him and sprinted for the parked speeder-bike, landing in the front seat with an agile leap. "My turn!" She reached up to twist her hair back out of her face and re-pinned it with the gold and jet hairsticks he'd given her earlier.

Z'har couldn't help but laugh as the woman raced out ahead of him like an overgrown child. Not bothering to hurry his pace, he took his time crossing the hanger deck. Once he had reached her, he calmly mounted the bike behind her.
-Z'har So much for the dignity of the Jedi Order. Do you think you can manage to guide us across the courtyard without hitting anything?

Jade sniffed haughtily. "Of course I can, unless you have this thing rigged somehow...which I doubt since you 'borrowed' it," was the retort as she fired up the speeder bike. "Perhaps you had better hang on?" She glanced back over her shoulder with a wink, "As if last night had anything to do with the dignity of the Jedi Order!"
