Captain Silas was surprised. The first person she talked to immediately accused her of smuggling and several other offenses. Silas was a human female. She was around 50, with graying hair. Despite her age, she was muscular- probably from constant manual labor as a miner or prospector. She wore the prison clothes that were issued to her. "I'm sorry, I didn't get your name. I'm Captain Silas of the Gopher-1. Are Funk and Dudge ok?" Silas politely wanted to know about her crew. She didn't like not knowing what was going on. " With all due respect, your Ladyship, you seem like a very important person, but Is this an interrogation? Or is this a trial? Do I have a right to one of those experts that knows the laws?" She was trying to think of the word for "lawyer." The list of charges read to her sounded serious. She wasn't knowledgeable in the law, but she knew she had no reason to cooperate in an one-sided trial that might just end in a firing squad. "Look, I'm not sure why you're asking me for a plea. I'm a good miner, not a law-person. I don't understand what half those charges even mean. I think you want an excuse to kill me. If you want me to talk, I want guarantees and absolute immunity before I say anything!" She didn't know what "absolute immunity" was, but she saw it on a legal holo-drama one time, and it seemed like an important thing to ask for.
>>>> An imperial officer would approach with a salute and hand the Grand Moff a datapad with a correction to the charges: [[The crew of the Gopher-2 detonated a thermal detonator. The thermal detonator explosion caused 6 proton torpedoes (that the Gopher-2 carried) to explode, and that, in turn, caused 50 tons of Kyber crystal ore to explode. The blasts vaporized the Gopher-2 and possibly a huge chuck of the star destroyer hanger bay with it. Damage control teams were still assessing the damage.]]

The Grand Admiral was so far not finished, when she heard the excuses of the smuggler captain in front of her. If she hoped to escape that easily from that trial by faking innocence, she wouldn't fall for it. In the end it didn't matter if a mistake was made, if the error can be fixed... one way or another... "I am Grand Moff Jenia Kasalle, authorized by Emperor Nicademus Delvardus of the First Order to overlook this sector alongside the entirety of what is known as the Borderlands sector", she told the woman frankly, "Therefore you are already facing the law of this sector... perhaps more than you would have liked." She made a brief pause before showing over a holoemitter a graphic of the planet Ilum, zooming in to a location, where the smugglers had launched their ships to escape the surface. Now where the former base was a small impact side could be seen, as the TIE bombers had completed their task. "Ilum is a military base of operations for the First Order, assigned solely for the purpose of mining valuable kyber crystals - a mineral as valuable on the black market, as it is deadly. Your 'mining operation', as you name it was never authorized by the First Order, for the crystals are considered as too dangerous to allow civil corporations to mine them. Whether you knew about it from the beginning or not doesn't matter, for harvesting these crystals unauthorized is punishable. State property was stolen, strong enough to threaten an entire planet if it would to be utilized as a weapon. Which some of your comrades considered to do."
The imagery switches to the Gopher-2 and the exploded YT-2400 freighter. The corpses of at least three Stormtroopers were visible on the image, other injured men were carried away by their comrades. The recording furthermore showed a slight hull breach, which was only contained by the shields and security systems of the Charybdis, as Navy troopers were shown how they tried to fix the situation. The image then switched ones more, showing briefly the faces of the killed Stormtroopers from their IDs without the helmet. Three men, one woman. One of the men wasn't even a human, judging his face. "The assassination attempt on the Charybdis by the second freighter, given that it had unloaded most of its cargo before in order to damage the Star Destroyer was already a tough test for my pilots and the gunner teams to actually bypass the threat of an actual kyber crystal explosion, given that Turbolasers from a heavier gun turret could possibly inflict larger damage on such a mineral, that has the potential to meltdown in order to cause a larger explosion", the Grand Admiral then continiued bitter, "Your fellow freighter allies tried to melt down the rest of the kyber crystals, they had stored aboard the freighter with a last thermal detonator impact, luckily though the explosion wasn't enough to harm the containers. Kyber crystals are fragile, but luckily require a bit more force to crack them up. Otherwise the chain reaction would have been catastrophic."
The Grand Admiral paused once more, folding her hands, as she ended the brief explanation. "Tell me what the great idea was to commit a terrorist act upon our fleet, just to waste your lifes in the process", she continiued, her voice now sharp as breaking glass, "Is it revenge for the First Order's triumph over the Galactic Alliance? The desperate hope to sabotage one of our military bases at the borders of the Empire? Speak honestly and I might answer your questions, Captain Silas. It is the least you can do for me and the families of those murdered Stormtroopers to understand, why these brave soldiers had to die in an act, which can solely be classified as terrorism."

OOoo! A grand moff! Silas had never heard of that before, but it sounded important. "Nice to meet you Grand Moff Kasalle! I wish it was under more pleasant circumstances. I can tell you've had a bad day. Maybe we should start over." Captain Silas cleared her throat. "I fly a ship, I mine minerals in the ground. That's what I do. That's the only thing I do. I don't blow things up. You're telling me that I am a terrorist for blowing up the Gopher-2. Look, you showed me some holo-videos, but I don't know if you manufactured that. I don't even know how long I have been in your jail. For all I know, you blew up the Gopher-2, and are trying to tell me that its my fault. The Gopher-2 was in YOUR hanger, under YOUR control. Kyber Crystal is dangerous stuff. Maybe your men accidentally set off the crystals? Maybe your men should have been more careful? An explosion doesn't mean anyone was at fault, it might just have been plain old negligence." Captain Silas sighed. "Look, I am sorry to hear what happened to your men. I am sure they were good people with hopes and dreams and families, just like me. May the God-emperor of all mankind rest their souls." She genuinely was sorry to hear that people died, including Chestre and Snifter.
"I can understand you are angry, and bitter and want answers. I am sorry but I can't tell you why the Gopher-2 blew up. You say it was the crew of the Gopher-2. Their names were Chestre and Snifter. Fine. Maybe it was their fault. Maybe it wasn't their fault. What makes you think I had anything to do with an explosion on the Gopher-2? I was flying the Gopher-1 at the time." Her voice softened. "If you are the law in this sector of the galaxy, then you should know that..." Captain Silas quoted another line from the legal holo-drama, "Justice is not revenge, and there's a difference between the those two Ideas."

"You, alongside the rest of your group, ignored Imperial law, when being asked to lower your shields and decided to confront our vessels", the Grand Admiral solely stated, remaining by the facts instead of going into the mad-talk of this woman, "Denying the truth won't help you out of this situation either, as we both know very well that cooperating with the First Order the very moment you were asked to surrender would have saved all the tragic losses, all the pointless deaths alongside your crew members. From what I know you are the only one left... what a shame..." Kasalle knew that there was another ship, which had broken through the blockade, but it mattered not to tell Silas. They were either caught and interrogated as well for more useful informations than the supposed miner could provide or destroyed like the rest. It mattered barely as long as those criminals were brought to imperial justice. She eventually left the room, the prisoner remaining in the room alongside the two Stormtroopers, who guarded her.
Given from what she had heard, the smuggler captain denied any mistake, pretending as if everything was fabricated by the First Order's navy. The damage caused aboard the Charybdis alongside the logs proved otherwise though. As part of the terrorist group she was not necessarily responsible for the actions on the allied freighter, yet from the talk Kasalle realized that she wasn't trustworthy at all. It was one thing to realize a mistake and try to fix the error being made, yet no improvement could be made with someone, who was unable to realize their own errors. Captain Silas belonged into the later category.
With a brief order, the Stormtrooper Captain outside was tasked to proceed with executing the prisoner. When Kasalle left the corridor, solely the noise of brief blaster shots was heard by her, as Silas was brought to the justice she desired. Order over Ilum was restored once more, as the damages of the brief incident would be fixed over the course of the next days.

With the Grand Admiral leaving the sector alongside the Banshee and her flagship, temporarily controll falls over to Commodore Krzesimir Viggo and General Harrol Theyne, until Commodore Thax will return. The Maxima-A-class cruiser Obscuritas under Captain Marc Oswell and two Vindicator-class cruisers from the Banshee fleet support their naval forces, maintaining the high security layer over Ilum. Since the last incident patrols to scan the system were increased.

Commodore Viggo idly paced his bridge. The walking helped his brain move thoughts in a logical manner. His fleet was a cohesive unit again, and currently running on high alert. He kept the his Liberator, Victory II, and the loaned Maxima-A, close to Ilum with mutually supporting fields of fire. The Vindicator cruisers patrolled the edges of the system, while the two Immobilizers under his command coordinated the fighter screens and patrols around Ilum. Even the TIE Devastators were used, usually to escort military traffic through the sector. Viggo wasn't fond of being this spread out but understood the necessity. He hoped that nothing of significance would happen while the Rear Admiral was away.
Of late Viggo had been studying the Chiss culture, it was a source of great fascination for him. The entire culture was built around racial efficiency. Which appealed to him, as a logistics officer, though he wasn't certain it actually worked as advertised. Authoritarian regimes often had difficulty with dissent, and while the Chiss seemed to present an unified front... he doubted it was as solid as it seemed to outside researchers. He was particularly thrilled with their weapons systems. The connor-nets were a simple but efficient design, wonderful for capturing fleeing vessels... perhaps he could requisition a few for local use, given recent events. He would file the necessary forms later, though he suspected it would be denied. Chiss were not particularly great team players as a culture, though the individuals were almost universally the opposite. Admittedly, his interactions had all been under official circumstances so the trait may have been specially showcased. He'd have to see if he could get a visa to Csilla for his next leave. Actually a colony might be better for relaxation options. Crew moral had suffered slightly since being stationed at Ilum, there was only so much one could do for fun on a barren ice world. It's greatest significance was the crystals that formed in it's caves... fancy rocks. Very valuable fancy rocks, but still basically rocks.
Viggo wasn't terribly impressed with them, though he knew they were terribly useful for some of the Moff's preferred weapons systems, and apparently lightsabers. Viggo hadn't really ever considered how lightsabers worked; you push the activation stud and *vvshht* you have a lightsaber. The finer details had never been relevant or important to him before this posting. He still couldn't tell you how they were used in lightsabers, or even half the various Moff projects. To him it might as well be pixie dust, just sprinkle some crystals in the blue prints and suddenly it's amazing!(TM) Still, orders were orders and he didn't really have anything better to do. Oh speak of the sith; here's the replacement for the next watch right on time. So now there really is nothing to do... Viggo passed the watch to his junior officer and headed aft to the officer's lifts. Perhaps he would take some time to work on his personal marksmanship. It had been awhile since his qualification at the academy...

Given most recent changes and the merging of two sectors into one oversector, the 191st Legion was sent to Ilum in order to serve there among the local Stormtrooper garrisons. Like it's precedessor Legion, the 187th, the 191st consists of 8,000 men with specialized Jet troopers, Flame troopers and heavy troopers alongside the core army. With General Harrol Theyne being sent alongside his personal officers and the 187th to Muunilist in order to serve directly under the Grand Moff on the former capital of the First Order, additional orders are granted to Commodore Viggo to prepare the 191st for combat and guard duty on one of the First Order's most important mining planets of the outer regions. The Obscuritas alongside the two Vindicator-cruisers are sent to Yaga Minor in order to serve Commodore Thax on her new assigned sector among the shipyards. Grand Admiral Kasalle also suggests in one of the briefings the use of the TIE Signal and the TIE Harbinger to maintain intelligence reconnaissance operations in space and safety within the planetary atmosphere, as piracy and smuggler operations on Ilum and the route up to the shipyards need to be prevented before it can grasp a hold on the system. Furthermore she would wish to speak the Commodore, whenever he is available on a holo conference, should there be further questions regarding the orders.

Commodore Viggo worked to get the new fighters integrated, though in small numbers to start. He sent intrasystem patrols out in flights of four, with a Vindicator on standby to jump in and back up the flights if they should encounter resistance of any sort. He tried using mixed flights, one Signal and three Harbingers, to scour nearby planetoids and drifting rocks for signs of illicit activity. He was somewhat less than thrilled with the harbinger's profile, but it's performance was comparable with the Strikers he had been using, with added bonus of being able to make jumps through hyperspace unaided. Though they lacked the ability to carry and deploy proton bombs, they were better at maintaining air superiority. He would be working to incorporate them and the signals into his normal fleet operations.
Training of the 191st Legion with Viggo's three regiments, now geared for ice ops, went.. well slowly at first. Garrison duty was never particularly inspiring, which dulled spirits dreadfully. So morale builders were regularly exercised between the usual drills for marksmanship, maneuvers, and terrain familiarity and navigation. His mechanized infantry had it a little easier on the flats but the slopes and caves of Ilum were more difficult terrain for them. Viggo was still mostly preoccupied with the integration of the new fighters, so training was left to the commanders for now. They were persistent in drilling the basics and laying a good foundation for whatever was to come later.
Having gathered his preliminary data on the fighters, and the troops, he decided it was probably a bit past time to check in with his favorite Moff. He had barely spoken with her since her assignment. He sat behind his desk and activated the personal holo-projector. He directed his call and waited, triple checking that the relevant files were all at hand.
Greetings Moff Kasalle, I trust you are adapting well to your new responsibilities. I am sending my reports on Ilum now, things are stable for now. though Ilum is an interesting challenge, since the routes to and from are not well charted. The TIE Signals you recommended are proving helpful in mapping the closest regions, so I thank you for that suggestion. The Harbingers are also a welcome addition, proving their worth just in escorting the Signals. Was there anything in particular you wanted those frames tested for or by?

The image of the Grand Moff eventually appeared with a brief flicker in front of him, until the picture cleared up. Though illuminated by a lightblue tone of light, Grand Moff Kasalle looked towards the image of Commodore Viggo stern as usual. Whether she was in her bureau on Muunilist, at a conference within the former Imperial High Command or aboard one of the Navy's vessels was hard to tell. ::Feel free to test these TIE models in general, Commodore, for more analysis data will be appreciated in our hunt for rebells, smugglers and whatever scum attempts to threaten our sectors. Time will tell, whether the funds invested into these fighter lines will help us to improve overall security and stability over our systems or give our shipwrights at Sienar-Jaemus more reasons to rethink previous concepts. Do not think though that I force these models as prototypes upon you for no reason. With recent incidents the safety and secrecy of vital projects like the kybercrystal mining on Ilum and the works at the Yaga Minor Shipyards has the utmost priority. Naval intelligence does not only provide us as the Imperial Navy informations, but as well Imperial Intelligence and other departments within the First Order. Mistakes will always happen and not every battle is won within the first round. Information guarentees, that the following battles will finish the agenda, taking the problem by its root. :: Her voice was calm as she spoke and as she ended, she already expected that Viggo might probably have to tell her more, given that she trusted his expierience. Jenia knew that she had a vision. Officers like Viggo were in the end those, who would be able to directly tell her, whether this vision will become a likely reality or just remain an overglorified theory of overambitious technicians. But sometimes though she also appreciated positive surprises and unexpected results. She would watch Commodore Viggo's experiment of utilizing the TIE Harbingers as escorts for the Signals with great interest.

Viggo listened attentively, the new fighters were an interesting tool. Though he wasn't quite sure how to make the best use of them yet. The testing so far had been to confirm basic performance profiles matched the manufacturers claims. The initial tests had gone well. Viggo nodded in appreciation as he heard that Ilum and Yaga Minor were getting top priority. It was never easy to balance the many needs of a fleet, and he knew Kassalle now saw to the needs of the entire over sector as well as several projects that effected the entire FO, like the mines here on Ilum. So he appreciated both that she trusted him with this posting, and that she understood the value of the work being done here. He was a lucky man to have such a competent officer.
Naval Intelligence ... is adjusting to life here, there was a minor dispute over who commanded who, but that has been sorted out satisfactorily. And we have a working chain of command in place, even should the unexpected happen there shouldn't be any further disputes. It remains to be seen if these new fighters can thrive here, but they can certainly pull their own weight. I will see about organizing exercises to further test the frames and pilots in the coming weeks. Should I make any other special plans?

::Other than that, no. Ilum is already a harsh place, where both our naval and military troops solely need to do the mandatory scout job. Everything else I wish to mention is not related towards the men under your command, but to you, Commodore.:: There was a brief pause before Jenia continiued on. ::By degree of the Emperor and on recommendation towards this assignment on my behalf as Grand Admiral of the First Order, you are hereby elevated into the rank of a Rear-Admiral, Krzesimir Viggo.::, Jenia solely added up formal, ::Operations within the Muunilinst oversector require keen minds to fight back potential threats and officers of your caliber are hard to find. Grand Admiral Needa has taken the finest admirals in the sector under his command with him towards the southern borders and I can't blame him for this decision, as a Grand Admiral relies on knowing his subordinates, alongside their strengths and weaknesses. It is thus only logical to grant you a position, that allows you to coordinate the Ilum fleet more independently from other Navy members. The security of our mining operations on Ilum alongside the transfer to other imperial worlds has the utmost priority within this sector and I trust you among few people to handle this task within my expectations and the expectations of the Emperor.::

Good that left his hands free to work out any nasty drawbacks the new fighter frames might be hiding. Not that they hadn't already been vigorously tested, but many designers didn't account for wear and tear on their creations. Viggo would be pushing the systems and their frames to their limits to be sure he deffinatively knew their limits. He didn't always have the luxury of knowing what he was up against, but he would be certain he knew his men and their abilities. He expected his superior to sign off as she finished, but she didn't, pausing a moment, and terrible suspicion struck him as she started speaking again. Her words confirmed his fears, and he hung his head. He didn't fear the rank, or even the greater responsibilities. He simply rued having to adjust yet again, since he was just acclimating to the last adjustments. He had hoped to get another cycle ro two before having to worry about getting promoted, he'd have to pay more attention to the naval politicing, though he could still rely on Kasalle to keep the worst away. She a much better grasp on how to dance that rigorous and volatile landscape than Viggo did, he worked best with tanigble things. Still, he trusted her judgement, so as she finished the announcement he raised his head again, face serious and determined. Saluting, he gave a breif but sincere response.
As you wish, ma'am.
A simple phrase, that meant quite a lot today. It was both gratitude and honor recieved for the promotion. It was also a promise to grow into a Rear-Admiral worthy of her trust and reliance, as he had done as commodore. It was also oath to serve the Emperor, and to a slightly lesser extent Grand Moff Kasalle, with utmost loyalty and all due diligence. Rear-Admiral Viggo waited for the Grand Moff to sign off, it was simply the respectful thing to do.

The Hereb under Grand Moff Thul's office exits hyperspace, with Aide Sitar in the command chair. She has the com officer open a channel. Ilum, this is Annelise Sitar, representing Grand Moff Standash Thul. Requesting permission to land, and an escort in the caverns. The Aide had been reading up on alternative medicine from other times in the Galaxy. She wasn't overly proud of all of Standash's activities as Grand Moff, but the Humanitarian fleet was one she was very proud of. In her research, she had read that the old Jedi orders would use lightsaber crystals to augment healing. This may be a wild goose chase, but if they could, even a couple on the hospital ships could be a great benefit to the fleet.

In her research, she had read that the old Jedi orders would use lightsaber crystals to augment healing. This may be a wild goose chase, but if they could, even a couple on the hospital ships could be a great benefit to the fleet. Rear-Admiral Viggo was reading the "morning" reports and nursing a thermos of strong and bitter caf in his office when the new arrival appeared in system. He kept a side window running a tab on new contacts, for his own curiosity as much as anything else. He shifted focus on his main terminal to a split of the visual and a copy of the comms chatter. Though he didn't interfere he did watch as two flights of Harbingers micro jumped into the artificial gravity well tossed up by the nearest Immobilizer, arriving with a click of the new contact. They maneuvered into an escort formation, as the watch officer verified the purpose of the trip and cleared the aide for planetary access. "Ms. Sitar, please proceed to the designated hangar bay. A platoon of mobile infantry will be waiting for you. They will be able to guide and escort you as needed. Welcome to Ilum."Viggo checked to be sure the designated platoon and transport would be ready, and smiled as he saw they were already in motion. Turning his attention back to his reports he let his people do their jobs. While he worked the eight Harbingers escorted their charge to the surface, before returning to their own hangars for refuel and the post patrol debrief. Their replacement flights already in place, one of them escorting a loaded transport to the convoy it would be travelling with.
Rear-Admiral Viggo was thinking on other matters now though, particularly the reports on the performance of the new fighters and pilots. The mixed flights were proving to be valuable scout teams. They hadn't scored any kills but there had been a handful of contacts that didn't stick around to tangle that his people might have otherwise missed. The Harbingers were good superiority fighters, and would be able to guarantee fleet safety efficiently. The Scouts... were a bit more strategic in value, but they were proving to be of limited tactical value as well, painting targets for the fleet gunners, and running excellent artillery and general Intel support from low orbit for the troops. He was working on a training program to get his pilots running a modified Thrawn's Pincer. It was proving somewhat troublesome to adapt skillfully.

Rear-Admiral Viggo continued working on the newer fighters, and how best to use them. The Signals were proving very efficient at data collection and analysis, as well as target painting and with a few software upgrades a running extended interference for enemy sensors. That had been a delightful discovery, being able to "transmit" a phantom image to enemy sensors, of debris, hazards, even smaller capitol ships seemed to work, reasonably well. It was most effective, so far, at redirecting point-defense fire away from real fighters, allowing for better screens, emplacement removal, and strafing runs both in space and atmospehre. The Strikers, still by far the better atmosphereic fighter and an excellent attack craft with their limited payload, was being phased out due to it's dependance upon carrier vessels. Though Viggo kept a substantial force to run escort/joint attack with the Demolisher and Bomber(FO) flights, while increasing the volume of Harbingers to better exert FO authority in the system.
He also said goobye to his original task force, as he was re-assigned to an Autarch-class Star Destroyer, the Barrow Lord which was accompanied by an additional Victory II-class Star Destroyer and eight Lancer-Class frigates, the system defense shifted sligthly, the vast increase in fighter craft helped with patrols immensly, the Lancers were an amazing addition as well, being able to respond nearly as quickly the fighters. It made security much simpler to maintian in the system, which made it easier to focus on training and side projects.

While the Aide was meeting on the world. The crew of the Hereb grew a little restless. The Grand Moff encouraged them to test their abilities and the ship's capabilities. They chose to take the ship around the planet, seeing if they could set a record for flying around the equator. They would have liked to fly over the surface, dodging glaciers and dealing with the changing thermals of an ice world, but they knew they would never get approval to do this. So they, instead, submitted a course to complete an orbit of the planet.

The records were all unofficial of course, but they were known and talked about in pilot's mess halls and cantinas across the galaxy. There were unwritten rules, you had to go get others from other circles to watch and verify. Millitary would have to get a privet spacer to watch it. It was all about pride.

A freighter captain with a Mark I Bulk Transport agreed to serve as a witness, the crew of the Hereb wanted someone with a faster ship as a witness but know one else stepped up. He would be the one to select the start time. This made it more difficult. The lanes to the planet weren't closing, Ilum was not a popular port, but its lanes weren't empty. The Hereb would have to dodge traffic, but that was all part of the challenge. Final preparations were made as the waited for the start announcement.

A ragged tear was opened in real space as a sleek black yorik-vec decelerated from lightspeed, dropping out of darkspace along the main hyper lane, rapidly slowing as it entered the system. The organic creation was dubbed the "Bleeding Orifice", akin to an infidel freight class of transport, though this specific vessel was not designed with transporting cargo in mind, but rather people. In this case the vessel held a member of the Intendant Caste, a Prefect in fact, known as Shendor of Domain Yin. The Yuuzhan Vong was seated in a cognition throne, situated next to the pilot's own, making the duo appear almost as twins. Save that the Intendant was garbed in a glistaweb robe over his skin tight cloaker body suit. The shimmering attire sparkled and made Shendor appear luminous. His face concealed within the folds of a cognition hood, the Prefect began to access the ship's subsystems, specifically the villip choir. The yorik-vec had been fitted with an oggzil biot attachment that allowed for seamless communication between their own organic bio-tech and the communications equipment of mechanical technology using species.Diplomatic duty felt a step down from what the Prefect had been doing previously. Once upon a time he had served as the overseer of Tur Yenagh, the twin living planet to Zonoma Sekot. Since the loss of that colony, however, he had been serving in a minor capacity. Regardless, he would perform the duty assigned to him to the best of his abilities. It was his honour as a member of Domain Yin to lead by example.Activating the villip choir and oggzil attachment, Shendor was able to transmit a holographic representation of his head along with audio to match. The transmission was beamed towards the planet and the martial forces that defended it.This is the Praetorite Vong vessel, Bleeding Orifice, attempting to make contact with the Chiss Ascendency or whatever government currently controls Ilum. We come in peace. It felt like an odd thing to say, but it had the benefit of being true. The last time the Praetorite had been active in the Unknown Regions, the Chiss Ascendency had controlled the planet. Mind you, that had been a long time ago. The Treaty of Lwhekk was likely a thing of the past, unlikely to be valid even if the Ascendency still persisted. If another faction or government now controlled the planet, who could say what their response would be? It was part of the reason Nem had picked Shendor for this assignment. He was more diplomatic than most. He wasn't the sort to resort to threats when dialogue broke down, he kept a calmer head typically.

The unknown vessel was spotting after some while an approaching Victory II-class Star Destroyer, that was patrolling the area. Given the nature of the vessel they seemed to be catious, yet remained for the moment passive. As the Bleeding Orifice identified itself by sending a message, the captain of the vessel answered swiftly. ::Commodore Paxter Thorne of the Imperial Star Destroyer Specter responding. We must inform you that Ilum is currently under controll by the forces of the First Order and their Emperor Nicademus Delvardus, wheras the Chiss have retreated themselves from the system.:: A brief pause followed before another message was sent. ::What buiseness do the Vong seek on Ilum, if we may ask?::
Commodore Thorne himself wasn't quite sure what to think of the whole scene as he stood stoic aboard the bridge of the smaller Star Destroyer. While he was waiting, he had already told one of the officers to inform both Rear Admiral Viggo and the Grand Moff herself of the situation. So far there was no need for escalation, given that their Victory II would probably not fare too well against a single Yuuzhan Vong ship alone, but Thorne wanted to be certain that the approaching force wasn't just a hostile scout, or even worse, a distraction for a major attack upon the First Order. Like most officers aboard he had only heard tales of the Vong and never faced one of their ships himself. While he was waiting on a response from the Bleeding Orifice and potentially Grand Admiral Kasalle, he hoped that further negotiations would remain peaceful. As reasonably the presence of an organic ship within the First Order's borders while not knowing their intentions could be unsettleing even for an expierienced Imperial officer like him.
