Zonama Sekot (Ferroan for "World of Body and Mind") was a living, sentient world capable of traveling through space. Zonama was the planet itself, while Sekot was the living intelligence of Zonama.

~A lone ship exits hyperspace at the edge of the planet. Its engines activate as it comes in towards the planet. The pilot sits transfixed staring towards the planet. With a sigh he cuts engines and floats in a stable orbit over the planet. This planet had many memories for the pilot and some he was fond of some not so much. However when last he was here he had seen his old temple in ruins comrades dead and the dark jedi order crumbling from the base up. Now he sat lost as to what to do. All of the sudden his comm system started blinking at him. He frowned at the system only a few people knew his comm. He answered the call and waiting to hear the person speak first.
:: Grand Admiral Jev to Commander Zel Ordo. Come in Commander::
~With a smile Zel hits the comm ::Weird timing as always Jev. ::
::Not so weird when you have been tracking your every move ::
~Zel had left without a word. Leave it to Jev to have kept track of him all this time.
::So whats the news Jev?::
::A new Mandalore has appeared and put out a call to war sir::
::Oh?::
~That was all Zel could manage as he didn't know how to feel about that exactly. He was mando at heart and couldn't ignore the call so it was time for a choice. His force comrades or his mando family. He made the the decision without hesitation. He couldn't abandon his brothers call
::Send me the details Jev. ::
~Witg that he did and Zel stared at them before turning his fighter entering the new coordinates and going into hyperspace.

*A long, long time ago, I can still remember, how the music used to make me smile. Syren hummed softly to herself as she watched Zonama grow larger in the viewscreen. It was so green and full. And this is where she had brought her crew. In what time was she in? Could she feel the Force? Was her planet destroyed or reforged? Had the great plague of the galaxy occurred? What about the Yuuzahn Vong? What about Kuila?
Syren inhaled sharply. It was as if she had become unstuck in time. A new "gift" from the Force. Not only could she read the emotions and thoughts of many around her, but now she could see more clearly the disjointed visions of the future... or past. Potentially none of these things were happening, or had happened, but perhaps in another reality. In another galaxy far away from here.
A footstep shuffled in the darkness beyond the cockpit. Reed, but which one? Syren stole a glance at his eyes. Frosty grey. Her Reed. All of them were her Reeds, but this was the one she had kept for herself. He looked at her quizzically. They had shared dreams, memories, he had grown old. Reed had crows tramping across his temples, concern filled his face.* "Are you all right?" *Syren turned away from him quickly, she did not want him to see her broken all over again, not this time.*
"You made it just in time for sunrise." *She answered. He put his hand on her shoulder, squeezing as he stared at the faint glow illuminating from the backside of the planet. They were always beautiful sights. The two of them sat in silence while Zonama's star came into full and glorious view from their vantage point in orbit about the planet.* "I'm glad that I managed to save you, at least." *Syren's voice came out a whispered croak. She felt the weight of years upon her, even though she had not fully lived them all.*

The comet-shaped Redeemer gracefully departs from Zonama Sekot's embrace. The creature is thirsting for sustenance; already its appendages at the rear of the vessel reach for bits of asteroid or other space debris, dragging it into the red oesophagus-like tube. It is not the only thing that is hungry, however. Inside the void-creature a group of Yuuzhan Vong, the first of their kind to break free of their prison since the war ended, celebrate their success.
As befitting of its purpose, the Redeemer silently floats to an exit point - far enough away from the influence of the planet to allow the larger dovin basals to propel the creature into darkspace. Once there, it paused while its passengers discussed their next move.
"Where to?" Dromin asks from beneath the tall-yor. His voice is muffled but still clear. Tokin opens his mouth to speak, but then pauses. He actually doesn't know where to go next - he hadn't thought this far ahead.
"I think it best to ambush an infidel ship, Most Holy, rather than try and set foot on one of their worlds. In our present... state... it is the option that has most likely chance of success," Orik offers helpfully. Tokin nods in agreement; why hadn't he thought of that?
Numi offers her opinion. "Seer, the Redeemer's dovin basals are... immature. I wouldn't trust them to be able to create an interdiction field with any uniform integrity yet. They need sustenance and practice."
That narrows down options. "Thank you, Shaper," Tokin replies. "How are we to then ambush a vessel if we cannot pull it from their faster-than-light travel?"
Dromin has removed the tall-yor and is smiling, quite a terrible sight with his teeth being the articulated, pointed glossy-black legs of a chitinous insect-like creature he has grafted to his mouth. "I was a pilot during the war; I know a thing or two about their abominations that allow them travel amongst the stars. Their inept computers will force their ships from hyperspace if they detect a gravitic signature. It stops them accidently running into a planet, for example."
Tokin raises his eye ridges. "What do you suggest?"
"Take a large asteroid with us. The Redeemer is powerful enough to drag one through darkspace, despite what Numi thinks." This draws a toxic look from the Shaper who opens her mouth to respond, but is stopped by Dromin. "Don't forget, I talk to the creature. I know what she is capable of."
The Seer smiles from ear to mutilated ear. "The Gods' will be done, then."
The Redeemer, just as Dromin said, found it quite easy to latch on to an asteroid and pull it into darkspace. Their destination: the expansion region of local space.

The void around Zonama Sekot is still. As the hub of an entire species, the space around the planet would normally be teeming with life. The accords that restricted the Yuuzhan Vong after the war, however, stripped them of their shipwombs and confined them to the surface below. The void, therefore, can be described as pregnant.
Pregnant with possibility. Should the Redeemer and Seer Tokin's mission succeed, and they return to Zonama Sekot with infidel sacrifices, this indeed will set the wheels in motion for a rebirth of the Yuuzhan Vong hegemony. Not only will the Seer take mantle as the Most Holy, leading a new government to righteous glory, the success of his mission will also enable shipwombs to be created.
It is out of the question to consider using Zonama Sekot itself. Though a prison, it is still a seed of the homeworld and must not be defiled. There are other avenues, however. Zonama Sekot is not alone in the void. There are large asteroids and other void debris that could house a shipwomb, and a star close enough to provide sustenance.
It is only a matter of time.

The Redeemer returns by following the same path it left on. Its dovin basals instinctively knew the gravitic signature of Sekot and hungrily latched on, propelling the void biot back home. The space surrounding the bejewelled world was empty, but that would soon change. With the infidels aboard the Yorik-Strohna to be used as sacrifices, Tokin would consolidate power and create a new Yuuzhan Vong Empire. He would end their isolation on their cradle world and cleanse the galaxy anew.
It all started with the Redeemer. This mission would go down in their annals as one of the most important stories to be told, akin to the creation of the universe itself. It would be told for centuries.
As ever, the Seer was already thinking about his next major asset. The Redeemer will be sacrificed to my next flagship, he thinks. The Yun'O will be pleased at such a symbolic offer. The entire Yuuzhan Vong race's redemption being given to their pantheon and blessing the creation of a more powerful void biot.

A hole in the black abyss of darkspace opened up and spewed forth a creation of rock and bone. It streaked a ways across the system before slowing, allowing momentum to carry it towards the living planet, and the naturally formed gravity well to bring it to hold. This organic creation was what is known among the Yuuzhan Vong race as a Ro'ik chuun m'arh, analogous to a frigate class among the technology using heathens of the galaxy. This one even had a name, translated into galactic basic as the "Price of Pain". It was the personal ship of the Intendant, Nem Yin, a corsair in service to several factions throughout the known galaxy. Or at least, he had been at one time. Now things were less certain. On the bridge was the pirate himself, standing straight with his arms crossed over his chest, regarding the blaze bug readouts spread out before his command terminal with something akin to interest. He wore a skin tight cloaker, glossy black like the exterior of the ship, that covered him from the soles of his feet all the way up to his neck. A hood of robe-skin rested on his head and trapesed down his back like a cloak. His eyes, or rather the mqaaq'it that replaced them, glowed a sinister green as though possessed by witch fire."It's good to be home." He stated openly. Certainly the crew felt that way, though he wasn't sure he actually believed the sentiment in his grafted heart replacement. It just felt like the right thing to say. They had spent an insurmountable time in the open void, traversing the vacant expanse between this galaxy and their own, relying on the ships solar sails to carry them whenever darkspace travel was not an option. It had been a long time to reflect, perhaps too long. There were people, infidels obviously, that he had missed in that time. Captain Arkhan, for one, but there were others as well. He had built a number of relationships with the people that populated this galaxy. There was no shame to acknowledge that he cared about some of them.He reached to his waist and withdrew a skin full of sparkbee honey, bringing it to his thin lips and imbibing the thick narcotic liquid in three quick gulps. Residue ran down his chin and he wiped at it with the sleeve of his arm. There was a lot to determine and more to discover. More so, it was the right moment to catch up on lost time. If he still had friends out there, he needed to reconnect. If not, he needed to make new ones.

It had taken some coaxing to convince Zonama Sekot that an orbital was to its advantage. The sentient planet was not always receptive to the Yuuzhan Vong that inhabited its surface, especially given that they were no longer honoring the agreement they had made with the Galactic Alliance at the end of the war. The planet however had conceded that the galaxy was a dangerous place and it was only fair that they be given the capacity to defend themselves. Thus a large asteroid had been pulled into the planet's orbit, taken from within the system the living planet currently found itself.
After the giant piece of space rock was drawn near, the Yuuzhan Vong on the planet poured over it like sand lice on a bantha. Members of the workers caste had been set to purpose at hollowing out the large satellite and transforming it with the oversight and intervention of the shaper caste into a shipwomb. Prefect Ur Skell was given command of the facility, while Master Shaper Mira Yim was put in charge of the current project, which was the creation of new organic ships.
Ur Skell had previously been in charge of a planet, whereas Mira Yim had previously been responsible for the replication of the voxyn project on Myrkr, back when the Praetorite had a damutek there. Running a shipwomb seemed like a step down, though both begrudgingly accepted the necessity of it.

Under the supervision of Master Shaper Mira Yim, rows upon rows of small organically crafted skeletons were being assembled by the worker caste, fashioning the growth of yorik coral to suit their needs. Resources were harvested from the asteroid the ship womb was constructed from, as well from the numerous natural satellites that orbited the planet. The most impressive feat was manipulating dovin basals to harvest materials directly from a nearby star, literally drawing boiling plasma across the empty void to serve as fuel and fodder for the shipwomb.
Prefect Ur Skell had set up an office away from the noisy and busy workroom floor, equipped with a personal qahsa device and a villip choir for communicating with the shipwomb shapers and the Praetorite damutek on the surface of Zonama Sekot. He even had a blazebug photograph of his ugly scar covered wife on his yorik-coral desk.

Location: Zonama Sekot's Orbit - Praetorite Shipwomb
A lone figure stalked through the yorik coral halls of the facility, walking past rows of growing yorik-et and the bigger advanced scout ships that were currently undergoing the attention of shapers and worker caste alike. Chazrachs and scar-free Yuuzhan Vong stepped aside as the figure passed, some genuflecting as they caught sight of who the being was. Garbed in a skin tight cloaker body suit and a black robsekin cloak overlay, he appeared much like the Sith that once posed a significant threat to the galaxy. He proceeded up a series of molleung worm tubes until finally he reached the personal quarters of the Master Shaper in charge of the current shipwright efforts, Mira Yim. As the figure entered he drew back the hood of his cloak, revealing a bald head and skin that shared the pallor of a corpse, strewn with black veins that seemed to writhe beneath his flesh. His face was typical of his race, complete with a sloped forehead, pointed ears, and stub like nose that shared similarities with a human skull. Glowing green mqaaq'it blazed in their sockets as though possessed by witch fire. His lips parted to reveal a mouth full of pointed yellow teeth protruding from black gums. He was ritually scarred and divided in half by his tattoos. The left side of his body depicted the trickster goddess, Yun-Harla, while the right side depicted the slayer god, Yun-Yammka.
"Mira." He called in accented Yuuzhan Vong, seeking the owner of the quarters.

Where the male figure who had entered the room was fiercely ugly, Master Shaper Mira Yim was considered quite beautiful among her people. She had long flowing black hair that ran from her scalp all the way to her lower back, braided and strewn with small decorative biots. Her eye sacs were a soft blue and her mqaaq'it ocular implants glowed a pleasant pink. She was currently wearing an oozith, essentially a long crimson gown of living skin that was bonded to her own flesh symbiotically, extending all the way to the floor. It split at the front to reveal supple cleavage and pale skin, lightly tattooed to reflect her caste, displaying the goddess of life, Yun-Ne'Shel. Unlike the other in the room, her hands displayed eight digits each, another mark of her caste. Like others of her craft, she had sacrificed the hands she had been born with and replaced them with a living organism, what was known as a shaper hands. She turned as she heard her name called and looked on the lone figure that had entered her quarters. Her eye sacs rapidly puffed and deflated. She was pleased.
"Nem." She replied. "I wasn't expecting you."

"I know." He said with a sneer, which was as close as he got to a genuine smile. His people were incapable of replicating the same facial gestures as the humans that inhabited large swaths of the galaxy, but they had their own ways to indicate their emotional state and desired intention. The dark purple eye sacs beneath his own implants bulged. "I prefer it that way. Keeps everyone on their best behaviour."

She stifled a fast forming laugh. He hadn't changed one bit. Extending a hand towards him and then out to the side, she gestured to a pair of thorny seats that were positioned near a large translucent membrane that faced towards the planet, revealing a glimpse of Zonama Sekot in all its beauty.
"I'd hardly say I'm behaved. Join me for a refreshment?"

Never having been one to turn down a free drink, the intendant nodded his head and walked over to the thorn covered chair. He carefully lowered himself into the seat, shivering in delight as the small spikes pierced the flesh of his legs and back. Those thorns opened ever so slightly and began to feed off the Executor, drawing a small measure of his blood for nourishment. He leaned back and examined the view, letting out a sharp whistle as his ocular implants settled on the planet the facility orbited.
"Quite the view, you have here. I hope Sekot plans on sticking around." There was an obvious bitterness to his tone.

Mira retrieved a medium sized yorik-coral decanter from a table in her kitchenet, along with two small goblets that appeared to be crafted from some form of black carapace, similar to vonduun skerr kyrric. She casually walked over to where Nem was seated and placed the goblets on the ledge of the view panel, then poured a measure of red liquid into each from the decanter. When both cups were full, she placed the decanter on the ledge and gave the goblet closest to the intendant a nudge. Four crab like legs began to walk the cup over to the Executor. The shaper then took a seat in her own chair and had a similar experience as Nem had moments ago. She crossed one leg over the other and brought her goblet under her nose, sniffing the substance contained within before taking a small sip.
"Yes, I heard about Tur Yenagh. I'm sorry you were unable to locate it." She paused. "That doesn't mean it won't eventually return."

"Bah." He said dismissively. "There is nothing to be done about it. Despite my best efforts I have come to realise it is impossible to locate anything in the intergalactic void. For better or worse, this galaxy is home now."
He took an initial sip of the liquid in his cup, then followed up with a much larger swig until he had drained the contents of the goblet. Leaning forwards, he reached for the decanter and began to refill his cup.
"This isn't half bad. It's no sparkbee honey but it will do as a substitute."

"It is derived from a red grape that grows on Sekot's surface, fermented and distilled into this, Sekotan blood wine." She lifted her cup as though to emphasize the product placement, then took another small sip.
"Speaking of things that grow, your special plant has taken to the seed world's soil." She paused, her long serrated knife shaped ears fluttering coyly. "Shareed even tried smoking some. He swore it gave him visions from the gods."

Always so heretical, this one.
"So you've said before, Nem. I still find it, what is the infidel expression? A tough pill to swallow."
She shifted uncomfortably in her seat. This talk always made her feel shameful.
