Avaro, a fairly typical Rodian, approaches 500 Republica nervously. He is dressed no differently than normal. His tan robes look out of place among the formally dressed patrons of the event. Less than a year ago he had been a simple peasant on his home world of Rodia. He left his village to seek a job working for the Grand protector and six months later... He still did not know how to behave in any form of society. Because of this, he asked his friend, Landrin Starholder to accompany him to the event. Senator Avaro Qoode of Rodia and Jedi Knight Landrin Starholder of the Free Jedi Order.

Landrin, wearing a rented tuxedo, pats Avaro on the back as they enter the building.
Hey, relax, you look more nervous than a paddy frog at a Hutt clan meeting. This is supposed to be fun. Find someone to talk to. You need to get to know your compatriots, Senator.

The Emperor nods to the guards and walks up to the balcony. He motions for the Imperial Knights to wait by the balcony's entry before proceeding out from the hallway towards where Crom'nen stood. Nicademus bows his head to Twi'lek.Crom'nen of Ryloth, it is a pleasure to finally meet you. As Emperor of the Galactic Empire, on behalf of the Empire and her citizens, I wish to give my condolences to the people of Ryloth. We can only hope that your people will strengthen and rebuild swiftly from such savagery. The Twi'lek Senator similary bowed his head.Thank you, Emperor. It is nice to meet you too. Crom'nen reached into his pocket and retrieved one of the three comlinks clipped there. This one was round and yellow. He twisted the bottom ninety degrees, and used a talon to press the small button revealed when he did so.That is a signal jammer. It will block even directional mics pointed at us. We are free to speak.

Crom'nen was indeed a cautious person, possibly due to the Ryloth affair. The Emperor looks out at the crowd for a moment. There are still those who may have countermeasures of their own and possibly read lips, Senator.Nicademus would then turn his gaze back to Crom'nen. The Emperor would speak plainly with the Twi'lek.Your messenger came to me and spoke of Ryloth's plea. I will have to discuss with my councilors when I return from Coruscant and see what the Empire can spare. I will assure you that the Empire is prepared to offer what it can for now to Ryloth.

Crom'nen nodded in agreement with the statement of reading lips, but not everything could be helped.
Do not misunderstand me Emperor. My proposal is not for what I can get for my people. It's for what I can give. You are owed that much.
He paused, his expression deadly serious.
But this relies entirely on secrecy. If my emissary were to be known, if the information I gave you were to be revealed, my life would be forfeit. I would not make it out of the Rotunda alive. It would be best if when this conversation ceased, you pretended to have great anger with me. Sometimes the most cunning deceit is live in others' expectation until the proper moment.

Nicademus looks over at the Twi'lek for a moment.
I will make it seem that our meeting was dissatisfying and leave abruptly, not an ounce of formality in my departure will be noted. However, I feel if I did that, the Republic will be suspicious as to why the Empire is still fulfilling its promises made at the Charity.
The Emperor would then speak back to the matter of secrecy. He was aware of the risks both Ryloth and the Empire were taking if this plot was discovered by the Republic or the Jedi. They needed to ensure deception and secrecy played into the right places.
The Empire has been working to reform its Diplomatic Corps and the Imperial Mission, harmless ventures that shouldn't alarm the Republic in the slightest. Supplies will be sent through these services; with additional 'gifts' being added in among the transported goods. Tools to help jump start your ambition, Crom'nen.
The Emperor would pause for a moment, pondering further on some words.
I will use your emissary as a means of communication in the mean time. She will be comfortably housed and respected as always. The Empire will send proposals for plans to help further your goal and progress it in the right direction. Is there anything in particular you need as of right now, Senator?

Cass smiles as he goes through security. As secure as they tried to make functions like this, they were never hard to sneak into. Even without the Force, using your head to figure out the officer doing the checks, to figure when to play dumb when to play helpless, and when to press and show strength. Before you know it you have a VIP pass and free reign. The Force did help to get a lightsaber over a fence though. Cass wonders the event like her belongs there, listening to conversations looking for a mark. No that wasn't the right word, he was looking for an employer. Not your common riff raff, someone with more credits and influence than sense. No a republic senator, there is someone he could work for. But he had to find the right one. One that would be able to help him when he needed it as well. Normal in places like this he would where covers over his eyes, but here Cass chose to let their red show. First they were a conversation piece. At a time like this he wanted to talk to people and learn about them as quick as possible. Second, they let him hide his gaze. Without any pupils no one could tell exactly where he was looking. He was in a standard but nice formal black tunic had had taken from a local store. He planned on returning it or paying for it double after this event. Hidden on his back was his curved hilt lightsaber, unseen and unnoticed. Cass wondered the party, listening and mingling.

Is there anything in particular you need as of right now, Senator? Do not worry what others will say. They will invent their own reasons, such as you trying to buy loyalties in order to depose me from the Senate. So-called "experts" will always find a reason to talk and speculate, without our assistance. The only thing that I need from you right now is trust, however much you feel I deserve, until such a time that I am able to prove where my loyalties lie. The only other thing that I would ask is assurances that your empire is not a human-centric empire, and that my people will be treated the same as any human, not like the First Galactic Empire.

Nicademus looks over at Crom'nen. His request for assurance was warranted and understandable. The First Galactic Empire was indeed very human-centric. It wasn't till later Imperial Remnant, the Fel Empire and Darth Krayt's Sith Empire that aliens were treated more as equals. Nicademus nods his head at the Twi'lek.
While much of my current personnel are humans, Senator, I do not plan to follow the humanocentric philosophies nor path of the First Galactic Empire. Any person, whether they be human, humanoid or alien, who has the dedication to serve the Empire and aspires to be a model citizen shall be treated with the utmost respect. I strive for unity, stability and order after all and I will need everyone's help, whether they be human or otherwise.

Forgive me for not showing my pleasure, but as you have said, people will be watching.
Crom'nen nodded to the Emperor.
I am most grateful to you, and I look forward to what the future holds.

Post by Senator Zarine S'daya on Mar 30, 2015 15:54:03 GMT -8
Herald: "The Senator of Yavin IV, Zarine S'daya and retinue, accompanied by Senator Dmitri Koronov of Corellia, and staff."
Following the Herald's announcement, Zarine glanced over at Koronov and then took the arm he offered. Her dress was of an exotic blue and gold fabric that sparkled as it caught the light in various angles. And then, the two of them headed down into the main room in order to mingle with the crowd. Zarine had dismissed her various followers to listen and make themselves useful.
She liberated a tall glass of something bubbly from a tray passing by on the arm of a waiter and smiled up at Koronov before taking a sip.
"Relax," she quietly adjured him, "it's a party. Take this, it'll help." She passed him the glass and refused to look away until he'd obligingly taken a sip.

This Herald has proven most helpful, names and titles in one place. These new arrivals caught his eye. He made his way over to them, but tried not to make his listening too obvious.

Forgive me for not showing my pleasure, but as you have said, people will be watching. Crom'nen nodded to the Emperor.I am most grateful to you, and I look forward to what the future holds. Nicademus's expression suddenly changed to a stern and slightly displeased look after the remark, as if the Emperor was disappointed with what Crom'nen said. He turns sharply and proceeds to leave abruptly, without showing any respect to Crom'nen nor showing any thanks. The Emperor gestures for his Imperial Knights, Anya and Darren, to follow him. It felt improper to not give a formal goodbye, but it had to be done in order for no suspicions to rise. The stratagem of deception had to continue. At leas any holo-news drones and nearby persons would have noticed his displeased look and abrupt departure from Crom'nen. The best cover up for their meeting that the Emperor could spontaneously think of.
As Nicademus walked down from the balcony in a rather rushed motion to keep the deception up, his eyes glanced in the direction of Anya. who was to his right. The Emperor lowered his voice to speak with her as they departed the company of Senator Crom'nen and rejoined the crowd below.Did anyone among the crowd notice my arrival at the balcony, Anya?

Cass notices the commotion between the Imperial and the Twilek. He couldn't hear anything but he made a mental note. Either of them could prove profitable in the future. Once he left the party he would have to look them both up and get information. For now he focused on this S'daya and Koronov.

Anya dropped her head a bit, picking up the quiet tone. It was clear in his tone that secrecy was key. Dropping her head helped avoid any reading her lips as she spoke. With a soft tone, she rely the information to him the best she had picked up on.
"I believe a few of the guests saw you go that way, but didn't take any real notice. However.." She let her eyes scan the room, keeping as focused forward as she could until she noticed the Vor standing off to their left a ways and forward. She didn't know the species, even more so being altered from the standards of the race. However, his height made it easy to identity him in a crowd. "The really tall one just at 11 o'clock has been keeping an eye on us shortly after we arrived. The way you left might have caught some attention just recently as well."

When the Emperor left, Crom'nen turned and gripped the balcony, as if suppressing anger at their exchange. He glared at the Emperor as he left. Anyone who was watching would think that this was two professionals, who exchanged harsh words, but remained professional. When the two fellow Senators entered, he nodded a salute to them, then released his grip on the balcony. He then fished into the front pocket of his robe and retrieved his flask and took a swig. From the shadow, his friend the defel spoke.
=F'rarl= Do you think anyone suspects?
Crom'nen blocked his mouth with the flask so no one could tell he was speaking. Only time will tell.

Nicademus remembered seeing the tall one that the Imperial Knight spoke of. It wasn't hard to not notice the towering creature among the various guests. The Emperor would glance back at where Crom'nen was, allowing him to see a quick view of who Anya was talking about. He then kept his voice hushed as they continued to walk. His species is Vor, a sentient reptilian species from the planet of Vortex in the Mid Rim. They are known for their beautiful music, but not this one. This one is most likely the dangerous and ruthless Seleevan Khar, commander of Strike Force Nemesis Triton. I remember seeing his name on the guest list. After that, Nicademus would go quiet as he walked with his Knights through the throngs of people. His mind wondering why the Vor had been tracking them earlier.

Koyi Zitan, 19, went through a crowd of greeters, people whom thought this party was great, or the cause was just, or just thenked to be invited. Amongst them were one that at once became a great interest for the Imperial Agent. Namely, the Executive of MandalMine. If she played this right, she could link her together with an other businessman. One named Bateman, and gain an Imperial Claw locked inside the mandalorian Economy.
19 smiled warmly at Aya.-19, AKA Koyi Zitan- "I am happy you attend, miss Aya D'Ordinii. Me and Mr Crom'nen whom planned most of our displays decided not to shield the guests from the horros of what went down on Ryloth. It would be wrong to convay a nice and calm picture of a horrible event. If the turth is guilt tripping, then it should be strong enough to act against, dont you think?" -Aya There are those among my people that do not feel the same way. I'm afraid that since the last crusade failed that many of my people would be happy to ignore the rest of the galaxy completely. D'Ordinii, however, understands that is simply not possible at least not in the current state of the Mandalorian Empire.Aya actually smiled at the second part of the larger woman's statement.-Aya Politicians acting on truth? I simply must find which ones you have been socializing with. The only thing more rare that an honest politician in this day & age is common sense. I think that the reason for the lack might be due to the more common type exploiting them for all their worth.

Once he left the party he would have to look them both up and get information. For now he focused on this S'daya and Koronov. As he stalked the Emperor, taking note of his meeting with Crom, he came over a feeling. A resonance. He just walked past a man with something on him that was... quite frankly a lightsaber crystal, if not two. Seleevan was nearly sure of it. Being the Security Chief (basically so he would be present and he wouldnt decide to just bomb the place to smitherines from orbit, should he feel like it, he guessed) he really disliked the idea of someone without a name (he was the first to arrive, did not see the man named by the herald) and carrying a lightsaber in this crowd. He would be a rather rubbish glorified security guard.
Suddenly, leathery claws landed on Casss (Casß?) shoulder as the man himself was trying to get close to S'daya (YAVIN 4!!!!! have to look her up) and Koronov.
Owning those claws was the 2.5m tall Vor warlord (sometimes refeared to as the Vor God by his followers) and suspected Sith. He was wearing a stilish white robe with two golden dragons embroided into the texture of the cloth. He did not ware his necklesce now. Would not bode well to walk around with cut off fingers around his neck. He fished for information."Didnt hear your name said by the herald, Jedi."

-"Koyi Zitan"- "Oh, dont you mind that dearest, there are three factors that will always make the chirping sound of connecting credit chips of politicians resemble a calm night in the woods. The ixture of truth, great need, and galactic Holonews covarage. As the party really start off, there will be some reporters arriving. Maticulus planing and a good cause is what I believe in. This is my first big event, and my only judgement will be made by the numbers it collects. That is all that matters for me, and those I am aiming to help.
Ms D'Ordinii, have you had the pleasure of visiting our collection booths?"
She slowly reached for the womans arm to lead her. Her smile was entoxicating, calm and passionate at the same time.
-"koyi"- "We are in contact with several organisations on Ryloth running soup kitchens, shelters, and entrepenours. The money collected here will make sure homes are built for those whom lost theirs, food and medicine reaching for those in need. Morethough, with Mr Crom'nens help, and big enough donations, we may even help the goverment."
