Karrus put down his hands. "I'm Karrus, Karrus Opin."
The Jedi twitched at the title of 'master', he believed - as did Picas - that the Order had ruined the ranking system by assigning so much power with the title of 'master'. The twitch went unnoticed, however, as a gruff voice echoed into the entrance of the detention centre, as if it had followed Karrus in. He frowned and unclipped his lightsaber, but left it switched off. The frown was as much confusion at the voice that came after the threat from the 'pirates' as it was for the pirates themselves. Karrus just had to see this.
The Jedi was no tactician, and instead of waiting in the room where they could fight more efficiently, he meandered around a corner and stuck his head out of the building, smiling at the super-hero Jedi on top of the large building. "He's got some style..."
Hairs stood up on his arm, and a shiver ran down his spine. He returned to the soldiers in the detention centre with a worried look on his face. "You've got trouble somewhere in there," he said, jabbing a finger forward to indicate the depths of the building. It was not long before the distinct hum of a lightsaber could be heard, and Karrus ignited his own. A brilliant green blade popped into existence with a snap-hiss, and he held it in a ready stance before him. "What were you keeping in that cell?" He asked the soldier who had asked his name.

"We were keeping a First Order spy in that cell. A Sith agent. We had him locked in restraints that hindered his force powers." Drez answered the Jedi, before he started hearing another lightsaber humming nearby. His thoughts became clouded as well. He couldn't think clearly or focus too well.
Vorik and Izmar's faces flushed at the sound of the sabers and cold sweats started breaking out. They aimed their blasters up at head level. Jacky felt a rush of fear flow through her.
"How did he get out of his cell?!" Vorik whispered loudly.
Drez held his hand up, signalling his squad to remain quiet. His emotions remained unmoved. He extracted a small object, concealed in his belt, that resembled a sword handle. He pushed a button on the handle, releasing a flat beam of black light about the size of a regular sword. The weapon resembled the Mandalorian darksaber for except Drez had acquired it from a fallen Jedi's tomb on Rhen Var.
"Hold your ground squad." Drez ordered. He then turned towards the Jedi. "Let's do this, Karrus."

Karrus raised his eyebrows at the black blade, showing his appreciation and mild surprise. He had never seen a blade like that before. However, a lightsaber-wielding Sith was trouble, no matter who stood in that room. He looked over his shoulder at the array of men and women standing behind him, their guns raised and nerves steeled. "Try not to shoot me, okay?"
The unorthodox Jedi was always one to try and lighten the mood, and nodded to Drez. "I'm with you."
He strengthened his posture and readied himself for battle. Karrus was a former Sith, and he hoped his past experiences would help him in the fight to come.

Brock breaks out in a big smile as orders are given. He was glad the the civilians were a priority and would be getting the help they need, but he was equally grateful that he had been sent off to deal with the pirates. Yes, technically he had been sent off to watch and report on the pirates but he knew Faina wouldn't have sent him without knowing the odds of him jumping into the fray were extremely high. With a flash of teeth and a quick two fingered salute to his friend Brock winks and then disappears into a green streak of light as he draws on the force to move at superhuman speeds to jump start his pursuit. He only keeps that up long enough to get the speeders in sight again before dropping back to a normal job and following the sounds of reckless driving and screaming all the way to the detention center. Brock had spent years tracking people through all kinds of terrain but nothing in his experience had been as easy as tracking rowdy pirates through crowded city streets. They weren't trying to cause damage or havoc but their vary nature had people screaming and running from them as they made their way a surprisingly short distance away from the spaceport. He makes his way to the roof of a nearby 3 story building as the pirate begins making his demands and such. Unable to resist the flair for the dramatic he steps up to the corner nearest the pirates and draws on the force to enhance his voice, striking a properly heroic pose with the wind whipping his green jedi robes around as his voice booms out to the pirates from 3 stories up. This is your one chance villains, Be gone from here or you will all perish. An emphasis is placed on the last word as it echoes unnaturally around the plaza in front of the detention center. Turning to face the voice that echoed towards them, Wolfgang chuckled. Hearing no response from those inside the detention center, he knew what was going to happen next. However this Jedi might put a slight crimp in their plans. Pulling his pistol out and unsheathing one of his cutlass', he hollered back to the Jedi."Ye wish t' impede our progress, Jedi? So be it. Men, attack!"As soon as the order had been given, the Tof, Zabrak and human pirates present opened fire on the Jedi standing atop the building. While he was occupied with that, Wolfgang motioned for several of his men to follow him to the main doors. Planting shaped charges on the door, they blew the main doors down."Ye won't be standin' in our way much longer! We shall get wha' we came here fer, mark me words."Wolfgang bellowed those words to the folks inside the building, protecting the First Order agent. They would slaughter every last person present, if it meant acquiring their prize. He had no qualms about killing innocents to accomplish his goal. Normally, he'd try to avoid it, in order to not draw more attention to himself, but in this case, he wanted his prize and he wanted to leave. In that order. Anyone who got in his way be damned.

Starport
Looking from Brock to Panno, the left corner of her lips curls up ever so slightly in what might be an amused smile or even a signal she is making a joke despite the fact her tone remains crisp and dry as Faina says, Your wardrobe choice might come in handy it seems, and then gestures towards the spaceport while asking, Will the pirates recognize you enough not to shoot you on sight, or will we need to be stealthy about making our way inside to look for where the prisoners are being held?" Seeing the smile Panno couldnt help but wonder what the Grandmaster had found so funny in the situation. Not understanding it he just pressed on. Only one way to find out, I didn't see too many Dressillians on board, or even other non-humans. If you are okay with it, I was thinking I take you in as my prisoner. That way we both get in nice and easy, I put you close to the prisoners or even right on the ship and we go from there. In truth Panno felt they wouldn't fire on him. He was dressed in their colours and was high profile enough within the crew because of the information about the spy they would know him. Hopefully.

As unappealing as the idea of pretending to be a prisoner is, it had been exactly what Faina had in mind when asking Panno about whether or not he would be welcomed back among the pirates, and so she says, "It seems to be the scenario with the highest probability of success, so . . . Handing her lightsaber over to Panno so that he can conceal it on his person to avoid the risk of it being found on her if she is searched for weapons at any point, Faina musses her hair and clothing up a bit so that she looks the part of a haggard captive, then mentally prepares to act the part as well as she says, Alright, time to see if we can pull this off. Best to get moving sooner rather than later to avoid any questions about where you have been."

Midnight Squad heard the detention building's slam open and the roar of the pirates echoed throughout the hallways. Now they had to deal with 2 threats: the intruding pirates and the loose Sith agent.
Drez turned towards his squad. "Take cover behind the shields. Pirates are your priority." He ordered. This was going to be a 3 way fight and the outlook seemed gloomy. If the Jedi could hold his ground well enough against the Sith agent, Drez would assist both sides of the fight, he planned.
Vorik heated up his Z-6 Rotary blast cannon, barrels spinning. Izmar held his DC-15a blaster rifle, using the shield as the bipod. Jackie walked over to the door closest to the sounds of the pirates and pushed a button on her wrist, allowing her to magnetize up to the ceiling above the door. She withdrew a vibroblade and a DC-17m blaster pistol, using them as a tactical combo for quick melee attacks.

Karrus's attention became divided as a loud series of explosions opened up the detention centre to the elements outside, but he did not turn around. Whatever danger lay behind him was nothing compared to what could be arriving before him, if the hum of the lightsaber and the faint red glow growing brighter around the corner was anything to judge by, Even Karrus could see when a situation was deteriorating, and he would have to be mindful of the other lives in the building he would have to protect.
Sometimes being a Jedi was far too complicated.
His mind cast quickly back to his short training session with the Fallanassi. He had been taught how to create illusions with the 'White Current', though he had not attempted it since he had unlimited access to the energy of the Force in the Netherworld. Attempting it in his limited body, with no practice, may not yield any results. It was still a skill he may have to fall back on, though, should it be required.
He tightened his grip on his weapon.

Rounding the corner to the sight of a Jedi, green lightsaber lit, and an Alliance trooper wielding a Darksaber, the Pau'an male grinned malevolently.
"You had the chance of utilizing my skills as an ally against these beasts, yet you chose not to. Now you will suffer the consequences of your actions!"
Realistically, all he needed to do was escape these people here, and then he could meet up with the Imperial Knights that were undoubtedly already here, searching for him. The arrival of these other beings was fortuitous for him. They would serve as an excellent distraction, should he need it. For now, however, he needed to get passed the Jedi. The trooper would fall once the Jedi was dealt with. Adjusting his grip on the lightsaber hilt, Maric slid his feet shoulder width apart and prepared for one of them to strike first. Still grinning, revealing pointed teeth, his yellow hued eyes seemed to glow gleefully. He was looking forward to what would happen next...

Karrus raised an eyebrow. He remembered being a Sith, and memories of being self-important and feeling invincible brought a smile to his face. They had been good, exhilarating times. Age and experience had taught him valuable lessons, though, and the smile was also one of pity. "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about," he replied.
The First Order agent stood in a ready stance similar to Karrus' own. Though he had seen the sight many times before, the visage of someone truly committed to the Dark Side was fear-inspiring. Karrus could not let this person go; he feared untold damage if they did. The odds were definitely stacked against him. He inhaled quickly, hardening the muscles of his stomach and thrust a hand forward. Many thought that the Force was some magical energy field, but it was just a product of all life, and Karrus found it easier directing his Jedi powers by using his own biological muscles as well as his mind. A wave of Force energy launched from his hand and headed directly for the First Order agent.
He maintained the momentum of his attack, and followed the wave of energy with a few quick, strong steps. He held his green blade before him, ready to engage in single combat with a most deadly opponent.

Taking Fainas lightsaber he tucked it into the small of his back alongside his own. Walking into the spaceport, just before the pirates would see the duo Panno grabbed his would be captive by the arm and began to drag her. If they were going to get in without detection she would need to play the part just as he was.
Hey boys look what I found skulking about!
Despite the guns pointing towards him Panno kept walking forward exuding an air of confidence. Heading towards the shuttle he kept on talking.
Look at this ones hand! At this he ripped the sleeve of Fianas left arm revealing her cybernetic to the pirates. She must be worth something, this type of cybernetic isn't cheap. Ill take her on board with the others.

Fortunately for Faina - who has, at best, only an intellectual understanding of what it must feel like to be an untrained, frightened, helpless civilian - she has, throughout her career, been around enough untrained, frightened, helpless civilians that she can imitate the usual wide eyed and fearful expressions they typically have, and can convincingly approximate the coltish, meek, uncertain way that they often carry themselves.
Looking like a proper pirate's prisoner, too fearful to even so much as contemplate trying to pull away from Panno as he plays the part of her pirate captor, Faina makes a weak and frightened timorous mewing noise that she has heard captives being handled roughly make, her eyes darting in panic from her torn sleeve to the pirates and then back to Panno as she continues to play the part of panicked prisoner while taking in as much detail as she can about the number of pirates and their armaments so that, whether Panno's gambit fails now and they are forced to fight, or the time to deal with the pirates comes later, she will have a greater understanding of what the opposition will be.

As the Jedi kept the freed Sith agent occupied with a brief conversation, Drez pushed a button on his arm, which started blinking red light. SOS.
Drez enabled the encrypted commslink to speak to his other squad members secretly. The encrypted commslink sounded normal inside the helmets, but to anyone outside, it sounded like a few random buzzes.
"I need you guys to hold your ground until the ship arrives." Drez ordered as he readied himself for any incoming saber strikes from the Sith.
Jackie was shocked. Drez had never abandoned a battle. "Drez! Why did you send an SOS?"
"We're heavily outnumbered against living, thinking lifeforms, not cheap, stupid, junk droids." Drez answered, looking down at the darksaber he held, remembering the engravings on the hilt.
"The stakes are definitley against us." Vorik said as he saw the Sith.

Still holding his position standing in the doorway that led deeper into the facility, Maric grinned, revealing pointed teeth. His pale complexion, yellow eyes and stark red facial tattoos were quite the sight, especially to those who hadn't witnessed a Sith such as him before.
"You may have no idea of what I am talking about, Jedi, but the trooper does. I attempted to bargain with him in order to secure my freedom as well as aid in your survival against these...offensive green skinned beings...however, my offer was outright ignored. So now, instead of my assistance, you shall suffer my wrath...unless you, Jedi, are willing to bargain? Perhaps we can come to some sort of mutually beneficial arrangement? Unless bargaining with a Sith to increase your chances of survival are beneath you, that is..."
The Pau'an male knew the chances of actually bargaining with the Jedi was slim, but being the manipulative bastard that he was, he couldn't resist the opportunity to twist the situation to his favor. And maybe the Jedi had more sense in his head than the trooper. The soldier was programmed as such, therefore bargaining with a prisoner was against his programming, as it were. But the Jedi...there was something about him. Perhaps it was exactly what Maric needed to exploit the situation and escape...

Mastigophorous Starport
One of the scruffier looking, green skinned pirates looked up as the informant had led the Tof here approached with a ragged looking prisoner. Raising a hand to signal his brethren to pause for a moment, the Tof looked at the cybernetic arm and then back at the one known as Panno. Cocking a thick bushy eyebrow, the Tof laughed. Being greedy in nature, the Tof couldn't pass up the opportunity for more wealth.
"Perhaps th' boss should consider keepin' ye around, on account o' yer ability t' find th' good stuff..."
The large and smelly pirate eyed up the cybernetic and then the woman it was attached to, licking his lips greedily. The cybernetics were a nice find, but the idea of a woman being captured and taken with them was more appealing. Something to entertain the men on the ship between pillages. Motioning to one of his buddies, the Tof spoke.
"Good find. But th' boss doesn't wants outsiders on th' ship 'til he's back 'n ready t' weigh anchor. We'll transfer this mighty fine prisoner on board."
As the Tof temporarily in charge of the group finished speaking, two large and equally dirty and smelly Tof stepped forward, ready to relieve Panno of his 'prisoner'...
Meanwhile, at the Detention Facility...
Wolfgang stood just inside the entrance of the detention center, occasionally popping around the corner to fire at the Jedi above. Half of his men had taken up defensive cover among the parked speeders, firing up at the Jedi. The other half had began breaching the facility, looting it room by room. As two of the large Tof were finished filling their satchels from the breakroom, they proceeded down the hall to where Midnight Squad, his Jedi compatriot and the Sith agent were located. Planting breaching charges on the door, the primed them and took cover as the charges detonated, blowing the doors inwards...

With a huge grin on his face Brock began to dance around on the roof, batting a few blaster bolts harmlessly into the sky, but generally using his instincts, the force, and the cover his elevate position gave him to simply avoid most of the shots. After a few moments of that he retreats to the more central point of the building, well out of range of a good angle from street level. He takes a moment to draw in the force, letting it permeate his body and beyond, giving him a general sense of his immediate combat area. This was going to be fun. It probably wouldn't meet the approval of Faina and her attempt to be subtle, but that chance was long past gone. With a running start the Imperial Knight masquerading as a Jedi made his way to the edge of the building and simply leaped off, drawing more on the force as he battered aside bolts from the pirates laughing like a lunatic the whole way down.
About half way down to the street Brock extends his left arm launching a pair of knives from his sleeve with the force, sending them at nearly supersonic speed into a pair of pirates, using his greater height to avoid the bare cover the speeders gave them at that angle. Drawning back into himself with the force he slams onto one of the speeders with his left fist and right knee as he lands, releasing a burst of kinetic energy that smashes the speeder under him, likely sending anyone taking cover behind it reeling away from a spray off metal and glass as he rises on top of the crushes speeder, spinning his gold blade wildly now deflecting bolts back at their sources instead of harmlessly into the air.Today was turning into such a fun day, although he really shouldn't play too long with these pirates, he did have a mission to complete after all.

Of course they would try to separate them things would never go easy would they? Reaching out in the force Panno felt it heavy on his tongue, although not very practiced with mind tricks on sentient Panno was strong with animal suggestions. Hopefully these pirates werent much more than animals.Im not an outsider, I made this whole venture possible and I arrived with you. If I was already on the ship once I can get on it again. With her. Should the gambit not work and the Tof be unaffected by the Force Panno would have to give up his would be captive and leave her defenseless. Not that he doubted the grand masters ability, but the way that the Tof and the other pirates were eyeing her up made even Panno nervous.

Reminding herself that she needs to look the part of a panicked civilian, Faina is careful to look slightly shell-shocked and filled with mounting worry when the filthy, foul smelling pirates approaching to take her from Panno. From what she can observe of the pirates' reactions thusfar, Faina feels confident that the ruse she and Panno planned has been effective, with the pirates blissfully unaware of the danger they will be inviting into their midst by taking her, alone or with Panno should he succeed in persuading them to allow him to accompany them as well, aboard their ship.

"I neither have the time nor the patience to listen to you, and I definitely am not naïve enough to trust you." He said honestly and not unkindly. He had been paying attention to the growing sinking feeling at the pit of his stomach, which Karrus knew was the Force warning him about some impending danger. He did not feel it related to the Sith in front of him, but it was no more precise than that.
Then the world behind him exploded as the pirates forced entry into the compound. Karrus and the soldiers were now facing a very difficult fight on both fronts. He grimaced, turning to Drez. "What do we do?"

Drez was surprised a Jedi had asked him what to do. It was always him that asked the Jedi what to do, not the other way around. Nevertheless, Drez treated this instance professionally.
"I've called for an evac ship, so we have to hold off enemies until it arrives." Drez answered, trying to keep his voice low so the enemies wouldn't hear him.
Drez wasn't sure when the evac ship would arrive, but he always believed in last second escapes and rescues. He had seen it many times before, whether it was for or against his own cause.
