The skies became dark with shuttles of many a make. They landed soft and were greeted by handlers. Material and human cargo began to be loaded. The exodus was beginning

At the still smoldering ruins of the Mortus shuttles were packed and lifted off only to return and begin the process again. The very thought of being away from Manaan was alien to the girl but IF life was not and this was about as IF as it got. No quarter, no looking back and such is life. The idea of all this still wracked her mind

A massive evacuation was now underway. The smoke screen of gunfire and explosions was maintained. These were not a senseless waste of munitions but calculated and acted to build a clear route to the hyperspace lanes while simultaneously making sighting these maneuvers impossible. A great number of troops maintained visible entrenched positions while others were very mobile, constantly changing position. They made a hit them immediately withdrew from the scene. Chaos was the law and under this umbrella a harmonious exit began as cargo was shipped from the surface to orbit
The vast body of textual matter, pieces of antiquities etcetera and so forth down the line that An Tiarna had painstakingly accumulated during years of war, The Doctor’s scientific hardware and his own work, including that of experiments on pain thresholds, his ongoing study of Dubh lineage were collected and loaded
At long last the evacuation party was assembled and boarded onto shuttles. Before he entered a shuttle An Tiarna turned and declared
-An Tiarna-
"I shall return...."
With those words he entered a shuttle. The ships rose up from the surface and departed
Evacuation party: Twi’leck Triplets Twin Togruta Brigid Deirdre Zabrak Twins Ciarán Dubh & Laoch Bán Dubh Epona

Mórrígan stood on at the site of the now leveled Mortus. The pub was symbolic of everything that the IF was and it now lay a smoldering waste on the ground. The woman shed a few tears losing her bearing a bit she staggered. This place drunken brawling sabre swinging hoodlums, egged on one of the most overbearing hotheaded violent men that ever darkened the universe was over. And she mourned that passing. This was where she was raised. But at long last she pulled herself together, tossing a grenade into the wasted ruins of the pub and another at the beach. Defenders still held out ready to die. Moving up to a waiting shuttle she turned
-Mórrígan-
"Mick!!!"
Then she boarded

Collins watching the anarchy around him thought of all things that the place had been and what it was now. Torn from his nostalgically wandering down the merry path of memory lane by Mórrígan's call he too pulled the pin and tossed a grenade. Then he confidently walked to the waiting shuttle, tossing two more grenades on the not just for dramatic effect but to add to the great subterfuge. He spit to the ground before entering the ship. The shuttle unceremoniously departed and was gone. And with that the shuttle was gone, marking the much wanted leaving of the IF from Manaan

Dún na Manaan, the IF fortress, had been raised years before by An Tiarna himself. The fabled Garden that housed sacred graves of the finest of the IF had collapsed on top of the fortress. The sacred Graveyard of the Iron Fists lie in the garden. The Mortus, celebrated pub frequented by some the toughest characters in the history of the universe too was now leveled. As the beach was torn from the city and sunk into the ocean the last standing relic of the IF presence on the planet disappeared. IF soldiers, in every decreasing number flooded the city and hunkered down for a final stand begging for confrontation. Resolve, so An Tiarna said, was doing what others would never dream of trying. It was all over. No longer was Manaan blemished by the foreign artifice conceptualized in the sick mind of a mad man and made a reality by backbreaking labor

Lamia stood on the steps of her old haunt.
So many nights spent here. So many emotions swirled about her.
Leto, Sinistra, ATD, Flagg.... Seemed like a lifetime ago she lived here. No matter her past, this was familiar to her. A comfort, just as The Giant Boob was on Thyferra.
Lamia chuckled to herself. =You know you spend a lot of time in bars, Lammy.= She could hear Leto in her head.
She did. The VSE were a bunch of drinkers, they were. Probably not her most healthy coping mechanism, but it was what it was.
Lamia walked up the steps and opened the door.
"Welcome home Vegemite Enclave!"

Kaine brought his red painted fighter down onto a landing pad nearby, jumped out and headed into the pub.
He had heard tales of this place, but it was his first visit to Manaan.
Entering the pub, he saw Lamia, and waved, before heading to the bar to order beer. Being a water world, he figured the local fish and chips had to be pretty decent, and the ale would do well with a feed.
Large black ale. Kaine said to the bar area, figuring someone would bring him a drink. He was too busy looking around the Mortis, taking it all in.

It had been years since last he was here.
He remembered it well, a few years after leaving his home in the Tapani Sector, having finally tracked down An Tiarna Dubh, his father. With him, Cormac had finally found the sense of belonging and purpose he had always lacked. He had grown in his understanding of the Force, learning what he could have the draiochta arts of his ancestors.
Then his father and king vanished, and Cormac was once more bereft of purpose, and withdrew into his citadel at Rath Draiocht, with whatever tomes, artifacts, and holocrons he could find, and immersed himself in study and training. He had been alone for so long, and he hoped once more to find a cause to support with his sword and sorcery.
He didn't speak to anyone, whispering a spell and and activating an ancient ring to draw the shadows onto himself, not hiding so much as blending in. He wanted to know what was going on, and perhaps find company once again.

Lamia was just putting the final details on her request from The Rock when Kaine walked into the Mortus.
"Well that didn't take long. The doors have only been opened a little while and you are already here. Open bar doors are your siren song, eh?"
She nodded to the bar droid as he poured the ale for the Mandalorian. She filled her glass with whiskey and leaned on the bar.
"You keeping out of trouble are ya?"
Before Kaine could answer, Lamia skin prickled at the arrival of another. One she wasn't immediately familiar with. Her hand instinctively dropped to the hilt of her saber as she stood up to her full height. He was using magic that she had only felt years ago when she was training with Flagg.
She raised her eyebrow at him. "Do I know you? Why are you here?"

Cormac was impressed with her quick and precise detection, he had not even truly gotten the spell in place before she had detected him. He spoke then, when she asked who he was and if he knew her, and he nodded solemnly. "If you don't, I at the least know you Lady Lamia. As for who I am, I am Cormac Dubh, last of the draiochta, so far as i know. This was my home once, as it once was yours. I was curious as to why suddenly after so long there was such a flurry of activity here."
He wore elegant clothes, and the curved hilt of a lightsaber hung at his belt. On his neck hung a ruby etched with a triskelion, and a ritual dagger sat on his hip. "I mean you no harm, unless you intend to harm me."

Kaine grinned.Fuckin A. That would do for both questions, last time they'd seen each other he'd been bleeding out. He wasn't going to miss the reopening of the Mortus, and he wasn't in any trouble just now. He relaxed, leaning on the bar and sipping at the ale that had appeared while he was distracted. He watched Lamia and the Dubh that had made himself known, minding his own business, looking around the place. From here, he could keep in contact via the Holonet should he be needed elsewhere, and allowed himself the time to relax with a few beverages. Later, he'd be looking for a feed to go with the coldies.

I wasn't expecting that. I thought they were all gone." The old sith relaxed her stance. "No, I mean you no harm. I'm just here to build my retirement. There isn't much more fight left in me. I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm good once as I ever was. Can I offer you a drink?" Lamia motioned to the bar droid to pour the man a drink while she lit a spice stick, took a drag and offered it to Kaine. She looked at the Sorcerer again. "Your magic. I haven't felt anything like that since I was training with Randall Flagg. I'm sure your father spoke of him more than once. Is that where you learned it?"

Cormac approached the bar warily, watching the mandalorian who was likewise seated. They were a...chaotic people at the best of times, and he truly wished no confrontation. He removed a silver and emerald case from a pocket in his coat, and produced a long thin cigarra from within, and with the tiniest whisper of the Force the tip ignited perfectly and he exhaled fragrant smoke. He approached the bar, taking the seat to which he was accustomed, and pressed his signet ring into an engraved spot. There was a click, and the section of bar rose from the rest, with a bottle and two glasses. He smiled to see that it was still there, and he removed the bottle and glasses making a gesture of offer. "Mecetti brandy. I kept a bottle here for special occasions."
He poured a glass and pushed it towards her, but not too insistently, and poured the other for himself. "tAthair mentioned him frequently, with what was as close to affection as he could manage, but I never met him myself. I have studied from what materials of his I could recover, as well as other sources."
Cormac opened his tunic and revealed the brand over his heart. "A memento of my first moment in this life. A show of trust."

Lamia smiled. Her brand had since faded. A symbol of a life she left a long time ago. There was no love lost for the Iron Fist and herself, but she realized that it served it's purpose in the time she was there.
"Ah yes, I was branded as well. Not much to look at now. My tattoos cover it. That was another life, and a completely different version of me." Lamia took the drink from Cormac and raised it to the men. "Slainte!" She took a drink and noted the quality of the brandy. "Definitely high quality, especially for this place. I hope you don't mind us making ourselves at home. During some recon we noticed not much going on here, and thought it was a good place to lay down some more roots. Literally. I have plans for extensive floating cucumber fields. And maybe some other things that will pad our retirement. I'm sure you must remember Sinistra. She will be helping me." Lamia took another drag of her spice stick. "My apologies for not introducing you, this is Kaine Australis, my field marshall. He will be assisting us as well."

Cormac took a sip of his brandy as she toasted, and respectfully nodded to Kaine when she introduced him. "Glory to you and your clan, warrior. Cormac Hejaran Dubh at your service." He took a drag from his cigarra and shrugged. "It's of little consequence to me, I bear no ill-will to the... Queen Emeritus." He was unsure how one should refer to someone in Sinistra's unique position in proper society, and decided Queen Emeritus was good enough. He had been very well educated in the etiquette and protocol of many civilizations during his youth in the Expanse. "You are more than welcome to do as you like with this place. I've maintained Rath Draiocht as my...sanctum. I was merely curious, and I admit it has been lonely here."

Lamia nodded to the man. "Thank you. I don't think we will be taking up residence in our old home. We will build new if it's all the same. " She waved her hand. "And this, this is really all I need for us to gather and plan. I... I tend to be most comfortable in bars apparently."
Lamia took another drink. "You are more than welcome to join us if you wish. Other than my friend, Kaine here, we aren't really all that warrior like anymore. We do have a few "foes" if you will that we will have to deal with, but other than that we are a rather boring bunch."

Aydyn lowered his hood as he entered the Mortuus. The flight to the tower above the waves had been long and his spirited aiwhal mount had required a strong hand on the journey from Ahto. He ran long but slightly webbed fingers through his black hair, tousling the strands as they waved in the humid air of the bar. After his eyes adjusted to the gloom, Aydyn spied Lamia surrounded by a group of various cads.
On his way to the group, he stopped by the counter and looked at the hardened selkath serving up drinks. The tattoos sliding over Aydyn's face made him look somewhat manacling, something he didn't care to hide in this place like he would in the city, and he smiled. Not some half smirk feigned to put the populace at ease, but one of many sharp teeth aligned in a neat row, the barest hint of flesh extending from thing lips. His cheek bones rose up to make his eyes seem like mere slits in his face. It felt so good to not have to care about the mask he wore in public.
In addition to the physical mask, he let down the guarded position in the Force. He flared like a dark flame for a moment as he stretched his mind into the deep ocean of the Force. A contented sigh escaped him like a hiss as he lay some credits on the counter. "Anything back there that's smokey, peaty, and hard on the liver?"

Cormac's senses picked up the force signature of the newcomer, and he could feel the edge of a predator's instincts within it. He didn't turn, merely gathering the Force into himself, the words of a dozen spells of destruction flowing through his mind, ready to fly from his tongue if required. When the newcomer merely sidled up to the bar and ordered a drink, Cormac let the words vanish from his thought, though he kept the gathered force leashed to his will."I may, a draiochta with no clan is a waste. I was once a celebrated saber rake, and am now a sorcerer of some small skill. Perhaps I can be of use." He looked into the eyes of the handsome togruta woman, and let the Force serve as his lens, around her he could see the darkside coiled like a serpent, but rather than crushing her in it's grip she seemed almost to stroke it's head like a favored pet. Fascinating.

Lamia nodded. "Yes, there's room for all of us here. I'm sure one of our business ventures could use you for sure. Speaking of business...." Lamia recognized Aydyn from his visit to The Rock.
"This is the Head of our fishery division. Ayden, glad you could join us, please come sit and have a drink with us."
Lamia motioned to the bar droid for another bottle. She lit up another spice stick as well. "We all have our strengths. Kaine, here is my muscle. He also has an incredible understanding of fleets and ships. I wouldn't have the Picklebush if it weren't for him. Aydyn and his crew will head up the fisheries, I have my cucumber transport *coughsmugglercough* and we are also going to start Kolto production. I need a distiller for whiskey, because Goddess knows Manaan has the best. So please, feel free to join the party."
