If anyone else from the First Order side of things is alright with it, I'd like to take the lead of the First Order Forces as my main character. Maybe set everything up so that Xakire and I can begin hunting Xeo.

Okay well I guess I'll take a look and get started. Quick question. I feel stupid for having to ask but is the First Order already situated on the planet, or are the coming in and taking over? Just so I know where I stand before I post.

Long enough to get a firm grip on the planet & the major centers (population & industrial), but not an iron grip. Somewhere between 9 months to a year, I'd say.

If it isn't to late to join I've got an NPC or two that i'd like to add to the story if there is a place for them. I'll give you lot a little backstory so you can see if it's something you want to allow to be included.
My main Altair used to be an old npc of mine under my Gadriel'lya profile on 1.5. He has taken command of what remains of Gadriel's army. Likewise he has assumed leadership of a group of spies that Gadriel trained during a Sith occupation of Coruscant years ago on 1.5.
Gadriel called them Shadow Walkers and Gadriels back story involved work with the Bothan Spy net and so that is the training they have. I used these guys a little bit on 1.5 but I would love to put them back on the boards again as they are pretty interesting to write.
Shadow Walker tech:
personal cloaking devices
Stealth suits
Slicer tech
Shadow Walker training:
Infiltration
Espionage
Assassination
Hand to hand combat
Various weapons
Demolitions
Flight training.
While only one Shadow Walkers is Force sensitive, their leader and would be my main in this RP (also trained by Gadriel and isn't any stronger in the force than novice level) all the others (there are only 23 spread across the galaxy so there wouldn't be many on this planet one maybe 2 and the resistance they have gathered perhaps?) are not force sensitive but have been trained to combat such tactics mentally and in combat (think Poe in SW VII) but put up against any of the knights of Ren would probably fold like a bad hand of poker. The only thing they could do if caught would be the desperate attempted of flight using their skills to attempt to disappear into a crowd or use their cloaking devices and distractions to get away.
What do you guys think?

Indeed, Indeed. People are still welcome to join. Still a little light on the rebels side so you jumping in helps out.
Side edit: Let's call the timeframe three weeks before the 1 year anniversary. This gives both sides something to work up to.
For the FO, you may want to try for a celebration or event of some kind.
For the Rebels, you may want to try some grand statement or to sabotage the FO goal.
