Hmm, not sure where/how to jump in on this one. I guess I could play a trooper, lost in the rank and file as things get heated... but other than that, I'm not sure how to fit into the current story. My main won't be participating, unless he's sent by the High Marshal he's currently meeting with IC and even then, He'd mostly be patrolling orbit/providing light CAS. That said, I don't have any NPCs on this account yet, so I have clean slate and would like suggestions on how to add flavor to the RP via character development and input.

You could jump in wherever you see fit. With Viox being occupied on the ground, he'll most likely have little time to coordinate the fleet, should anything suddenly drop out and attack. I'm sure we will find a place for you if you are interested. Altair, sorry about the absence. I've lost my...mojo as it were. I'm hoping to get back into it soon. I have read your post. And I will try to respond soon. Thanks for being patient.

I'm interested, just not sure how to make the most of my involvement without overwhelming Altair, since he seems to be the only non-FO writer here. There is clearly in sufficient justification for the arrival of an entire task force, as things are still, ostensibly, in a state of unrest, not open rebellion. So I think for now I'll remain a minor trooper just trying to follow orders and stay alive. If greater forces are required later, we may see Pellaeon himself, if his orders allow it.

If I may pose a suggestion. Viox is only here upon special order from high lord what's his face... the garrison already on the planet and its leadership has not yet been rp'd by anyone specific. If you were willing you could take on the garrison and all the troopers there... ya know the ones I've been helplessly slaughtering... *beams*
Just a thought

What was the garrison? (More how many than what)

I'm not sure. You'd have to ask one of the FO peons about that.
I assume however that Jabiim's garrison would be larger than most because it is a production planet. And they would need more troopers to fill the gap of not being able to have vehicles on the planet because of the electromagnetic storms.

Wouldn't the same storms wreck havoc on droids though?

I am nether a mechanical engineer nor a meteorologist so I am not sure I could explain it even if I did know. I am simply going by the information games I've played and wookiepedia has on the planet. I would assume any droid on the planet would have an internal grounding mechanism that would prevent such short outs. However I could be wrong. Also their size could be a factor. Or the complexity of the technology. The only thing that was specified is repulsor lift tech. However I will make this point. Any craft or droid in the middle of an electrical storm would be fried if not shielded properly to defend against it.

Fair point off to find suitable replacements then... Maybe there are a few of the old Juggernauts still around. Edit: ITC I guess these will do for now. Thoughts before I edit them in?

Hey guys, I am wondering if Tumboa The Hutt would be able to sell weapons/armor/transporter vehicles to you on Jabiim, it would benefit you (having more weapons and armory and some transport vehicles) and it would benefit me (I would make money). My Hutt is currently on Jabiim at his Palace, and i could send out a com-link to one of you guys and have a private transport come out and drop them off for you guys.

Hi, and welcome to Jabiim! What made you pick it asyour choice of home world, so to speak, if I may ask. Also, to whom are you trying to sell your wares? The First Order might buy, if things get nasty for them, but as things stand will probably just use normal procurement/issuance lines of the logistics corp. The rebels might have a use for them though, the real question there is would be pricing them within their very low affordable range?

I chose Jabiim because it is good for my buisness, i make a lot of money there. I would sell to either side, it just depends on how much they are willing to pay, my prices will be lower then the logistic corp, but if you have a lot of troops I will make money.

Ummm, last I checked you don't pay for gear issued through the logistics corp. You get handed gear, it's cost is charged to upon its destruction or loss, but otherwise the gear is returned with no, or next to no, fees attached. (as I understand it, which is second hand knowledge)
Still, the rebels will need arms so a market does exist, and maybe an imp or two wil buy weapons to frame a local or two that they have had trouble with in the past, so you might get a few small purchases there I guess.

That is accurate. Issued equipment is signed for, but not charged unless lost or damaged (smaller fines may be issued for damage that doesn't completely destroy the item). On the other hand, the selection is extremely limited & often completely out of the control of the soldier in question. So a number of military have a black market tradition of soldiers acquiring weapons that are nonstandard, customized, or not simply not issued to their MOS.
You would likely have the greatest volume of demand from the rebels, but mostly for the cheapest gear possible. While the imperials will have a much smaller volume of trade, but may make up for it in the individual cost of the weapons being sold. & then nothing is stopping you from selling to both sides.
For the rebels, most of the demand will likely be pistols, carbines & smaller rifles. Weapons that are cheap, reliable, & relatively easy to hide even when moving from place to place. You will also have a fairly high demand for spare parts & repair tools as their weapons are going to be suffering more abuse & older on average than the imperial equipment.
For the imperials, a lot of the sales will come from specialist units (mostly snipers & counter-Insurgents) & officers. Here you are going to be moving more of the high powered & custom modified weapons. Officers in particular are likely to be trying to get there hands on weapons that are seen as fancier or more prestigious. Other than the weapons themselves, you will likely be selling a large number of after market modifications. Better power cycle systems (for increased rate of fire) will likely be the biggest mover for the rank & file type troopers.

I think this will be a good idea. And while the First Order itself might not fully utilize the full array of services offered by a Hutt, Viox definitely would find a way to use the Hutt's reach and influence to his advantage.
