Jabiim, a perpetually rain soaked world of grass plains, inhabited by nearly one hundred million humans. Loyal to the Republic for nearly three thousand years, the populace was betrayed by both Republic and Jedi when it was struck by Lythian pirates, Trandoshan slavers, and a devastating Brainrot plague - and help, desperately needed, even pleaded for, was never delivered. Add then the Clone Wars, and the abandonment of the Republic in the Battle of Jabiim - thousands of Jabiimi, loyal to the Republic, left to die by a fleeing Anakin Skywalker and 501st, the last words of their so called Republic "friends" being that Jabiim, was now someone else's problem.
So began a legacy of enduring hatred among the Jabiimi people that the Republic, the Jedi, and most of all the name of Skywalker were all to blame - as they betrayed Jabiim in their most dire hour. Even twenty-one years later, when the native Jabiimi people allied temporarily with the Rebel Alliance against the Empire, the hate still lingered to such a degree that they nearly executed Luke Skywalker and his allies in a mob - and would have succeeded, had he not escaped.
But, despite that hate for all outside forces and governments, Jabiim could not resist the Empire. Subjugating Jabiim, the Empire mined the planet heavily, enslaved vast majorities of its native population, and, in an effort to wipe out the Rebel cells on the planet, bombarded the rest of the population from orbit. And so, the once proud people of Jabiim, their spirit and love for their home sustaining them for nearly a century, was finally and completely broken.
NOW...
The Empire fell, and in its wake former Jabiimi slaves were feed, returning home to their long lost home-world. The scars of orbital bombardment having healed (though the rain soaked craters, covered in grass, still remain) the planet began to enter a new age of prosperity, free and separate of galactic affairs and government. Every day, new veins of ore are discovered using new and versatile mining techniques, leading Jabiim, isolated as it is in the Outer Rim, to be not only self sustaining, but prosperous. But then, horror of horrors, a new order rose - The First Order - from the ashes of the former Empire. With an iron fist and an indomitable will, the First Order swept through the galaxy, conquering former strongholds even as it resisted the efforts of the New Republic. Jabiim was one of these worlds. Now, native Jabiimi fight against the First Order and their presence, forming a resistance - called the Partisans - against them. Even now, the struggle continues on, the outcome of this story unwritten, victory for either side uncertain. Only time will tell this particular tale...
Only time.

Hi everyone! Long time RPer on this site, looking to start up some good rebel versus empire RP! I know I for one am definitely in the spirit of it, especially after seeing Rogue one. The idea here is not really to have a war or "us" versus "them" type of atmosphere, but to bring some good RP to a very under RPed planet here on our site - Jabiim! On the Rebel side of things, the idea is to build things up from scratch, and build a pretty realistic SW style cell, carrying out raids, strikes, and general disruption - building up to a major series of strikes. On the FO side of things, the idea is to put pressure on the rebels, harass locals, hold strongpoints and try and root out rebel cells (primarily by compromising locations, and even destroying valuable rebel resources).
Again, the idea here is productivity and story, more than warfare in a true sense - though once things get rolling, and things get developed, true warfare may certainly be an endgame option toward the end of the SL. Below is a sign up sheet, as well as a list of pro's and con's for each side, and a general expectation of roles. Beyond those guidelines, feel free to be anything and everything in between! Diversity is welcome, and several well known writers, such as Dante Deveaux, Galdart Fel, and others, are expected to be playing roles!
Rebels (Limited to nothing, building up slowly to a single fleet)
Pros
- Fast and mobile, can strike and then fade into the populace.
- Perseverant and crafty, can find ways of obtaining supplies (often secondhand), and can jury rig what they cant find.
- Active recruitment: actions of the FO cause many to be sympathizers, providing information and resources as a result.
Cons
- Idealistic, and susceptible to Imperial attacks to morality and decency.
- Small fighting force, unable to make large scale warfare, must resort to guerrilla warfare and (often) use secondhand armaments and equipment.
- (Particular to Jabiim) Cut off from reinforcements or other cells, largely on their own on the galactic scale of things.

First Order (Limited to a single fleet, with members working within this fleet/force)
Pros
- Large fighting force, can occupy strategic points, and subjugate populace through fear, propaganda, and force.
- Well supplied and well funded, with the weight of the Order resupplying lost troops and equipment.
- Key fortifications, controls the capital, key mining areas, as well as other important locals.
Cons
- Negative influence: propaganda, brutality, and general FO methods creates dissidence and rebel sympathizers.
- The Imperial war machine is large and slow - better suited to holding key areas and waging war than protecting against guerrilla and hit and fade tactics.
- The FO must hold key mining facilities, and likewise deliver shipments to the Regional Moff (as per occupying Jabiim in the first place) - failure to do so puts strain on FO morality, and may incite superiors to make personnel "adjustments".
