Hi yes hi. I have an idea. So there has been talk of a compendium of sorts that sets down the major events in the JvS timeline.
My idea is similar. Have something that sets up the state of the galaxy as present that is updated every X number of months. Think opening crawl of the main movies where it sets you (and new people) up for what you can expect when entering the universe.

So I have a question. I would have put it as its own topic, but I didn't want to disrupt the flow of questions pertaining to the site. I'm looking to get a new ship for Luxeria as the plan is to blow hers up in an rp I'm doing. But I'm looking to have it built outside of the stock specifications and I don't possess the proper knowledge or understanding to set it up properly without over doing some aspects and countering it in others. Is there anyone who could help me with the specs I'm looking for and a place that would build it? Not sure if the shipyards under the Blackguard would have the plans for the ship or spend the resources for a personal ship and not something for the fleet.

Spec wise, we could certainly set up a discussion with what ship you’re looking at using and the kind of stuff you’d like it to do. From there, we could come up with some potential set ups/load outs that might work for you.
Once we know what ship you’re looking at using, then you can start looking at what shipyards would have the ship. One storyline you could consider, is buying the ship from one place, then getting or doing modifications to it elsewhere.

The ship I have in mind is the Baudo class star yacht. I'm aware that it was created by one person and even then, you had to be referenced to be able to get one. |

Yeah. Baudo’s are kind of grey areas, in that they were designed by one dude and produced at a small shipyard he owned. But something could certainly be figured out manufacturer wise...

I figured it could run along the lines of someone somehow got a hold of the plans, especially since we would be more out of their original development time frames. I initially thought of getting a X-70B Phantom, but acquiring that seems far more improbable and would require a lot of solid rp to get one, unless someone said it was an approved model within imperial shipyards, which is still a bit iffy to me. |

Anything with cloaking tech always ends up being a bit dicey. As for the star yatch honestly you could probably steal one just about anywhere. If you’re interested in buying instead you could probably just buy one second hand at a spaceport or something. Also worthy of note: the one guy who built them in Canon would be long dead by now and the rights would likely have been sold or acquired in some fashion by someone, it wouldn’t take much convincing to create a scenario where you could get one.

That was the plan to have a brand new ship made and customized right from the maker. Even so, I would like to think that the ship isn't anything so spectacular that anyone would have issues with anyone being able to make it. Though I was seeking to add some form of stealth tech to the Baudo, I wanted to get the advice of the more tech savvy people to best balance out the defense, stealth, armaments, sensors, navi computer, and speed and maneuverability to make it better, but also properly balanced so not to be op or done wrong that would hinder me.

Well we do have an interesting option. Because of the way canon businesses are on JvS we could create a universal NPC who essentially does the same thing that guy did. Maybe his great great (add as many greats as you want/need) grandson or just part of a long line of master/apprentice shipbuilders who continue the same traditions. It would at the very least be an interesting RP opportunity.
As far as steath tech goes that's fine, it's generally full on cloaking devices that cause the most issues. Everything else could probably be reasonably figured out from from canon version of the ship and/or similar ship types.

It would be initeresting. Maybe have this person have access to some of the more individual designs like that ship that could be created. If anything, I’d eventually settle on just buying the ship used through NPC means and have it completely retrofitted and rebuilt for her desires. Prefer involving others though if I can help it. Helps all span out and reach to other writers.
But that’s only the secondary concern. The rp I’m doing to lose her current ship is in the future for her, so I have time to work through that situation.
What I’m looking to accomplish now and the reason for this post is finding someone to help me build the ship properly, be it balanced right or properly set for a particular build. I do not have the understanding to pull it off. I can look at it at is base core and see it for what it is, but when it comes to knowing what can be interchanged what will and won’t work is absolute gibberish to me. Be it OOC or even IC, I’d like to work through it with someone.

So, generally whenever Stealth Tech comes in to the equation in Star Wars, shielding and armour tech tends to be on the lighter side. The other question to ask, is what kind of stealth tech you want.
Legends and Disney have introduced a number of different methods for stealth tech (anything from hiding from sensors, to full visual and sensor stealth). Where you want to fit within that medium will decide the next part.

So very random question. I’ve been looking online and can’t find my answer(though probably looking hard enough/right way.) What order of items is easiest to be picked up by the wind: ash, dirt, and sand.
The reason I’m asking is Gavin’s thought on relating his feelings about the Force and the light and dark sides. I’d imagine ash to be the easiest with sand being the hardest but that’s just me.

For overall purposes, I want the stealth to disrupt scanners and such. I feel the best ship for you to model this off of would be Darth Mauls personal vessel if you are looking for a full cloaked vessel. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Scimitar/LegendsOtherwise StealthX or the TIE/vn which you can still get from the Blackguard through the FO. |
