"Twenty four hours, Katsumi rasps inquisitively when Ishild offers that as the timeframe in which she will be able to have her fleet prepared to depart. Twenty four hours, Katsumi repeats in her near whisper once more in a tone suggesting she finds Ishild's answer acceptable. Waving a hand as though to wipe Ishild's offer to take time to relax and refresh from the table, Katsumi says, The broad strokes of the plan should be self-evident to someone with your experience Admiral. Bring your fleet out in positions enabling them to jam enemy communication and quickly eliminate their ground to orbital defenses, major military bases, she rolls a hand in front of her while concluding in a bored tone, etcetera, etcetera." Detailed plans, Katsumi has learned from experience, seldom prove particularly useful when the vagaries of battle so often demand improvisation and quick thinking.
"I will be leading the ground assault on Edethor, Katsumi says when next she speaks, having begun to pace around Ishild's quarters, pausing on occasion to look at objects that catch her attention. See that I have enough infantry and armor at my disposal. I would like to see these Mandalorians of ours in action, so arrange for a squad of commandos to be among my forces as well. I will personally brief the commanders you select for the ground forces participating in the capture of the capital city myself after you conduct the overall mission briefing. Returning to the front of the desk, Katsumi says, If there is nothing further, Admiral, I'll leave you to it. See that I have quarters available on your flagship, and that I am informed of when you will hold the briefing. Preferably while we are underway. Within twenty four hours, yes?"

As Vashity listens in on the meeting between the journalist and her contact it seems to her that she may very well have more pieces of the proverbial puzzle than either of them. The 'black robe type' is almost certainly the Knight of Ren her intelligence gathering efforts made her aware of, and the First Order Admiral the Knight of Ren has come to meet with is, if all that Vashity has learned so far is true, Admiral Sauer, who had apparently been sent here to Agamar for the express purpose of awaiting the Knight of Ren. The only piece of the puzzle that Vashity lacks now is the specific reason the Knight of Ren has been sent. The reason is, given the First Order's known history, not likely to be benign, especially given how frequently the Knights of Ren have been involved in the First Order's military campaigns. Learning of where an assault is planned could enable the Jedi Order and Alliance to prepare to defend itself, increasing the odds of preventing yet another world from falling into the clutches of the First Order.
When it becomes apparent that the journalist is preparing to leave, Vashity knows that she has to decide quickly how to proceed. Pursing more information about what the First Order fleet's future plans are and continuing to tail Manon in the hope of meeting her resistance contact both present risks, but the latter could mean pooling information with an organization that potentially is better connected to learn what is next for the fleet, and so Vashity ultimately decides the risks associated with that option are the more justified.
As gaining Manon's trust could make things with the resistance go more smoothly, Vashity decides that revealing herself and her mission now might be better than tailing the woman and finding the right moment to do so. Waiting until Manon is nearly at her speeder, distant enough from the Rodian that they should not be seen or overheard, Vashity drops her Force assisted stealth and, hands held up to signal she means no harm, steps from the shadows and tells Manon in a soothingly even, patient tone, "Hello again. Stay calm, she suggests while stopping before getting too close so that the journalist does not feel any more endangered than she probably already does, I'm a friend, and I think the resistance and I can be of help to one another if you give me a chance to meet with them."

Clasping her hands behind her back, trying as best she can to conceal how relieved she is that the Knight of Ren sounds as though she will be leaving soon, Ishild agrees, "Twenty four hours, yes. I will have word sent to you in your quarters aboard the Kunigunde regarding when the mission briefing is to take place once all the necessary arrangements have been made."
After saluting the Knight of Ren when she at last leaves, the first thing Ishild does is open several windows to air out her quarters. Once the windows have been opened, Ishild establishes a secure comm channel with her XO, Commander Brandt, aboard the Kunigunde, to have him initiate the recall of all personnel currently on leave on Agamar, and to prepare her fleet to depart for the Core Worlds. After Commander Brandt assures her that he will carry out her orders immediately, Ishild steps outside of her quarters to ask one of the Mandalorian guards she was provided to send word to Sol'yc ver'alorn Faelan Bralor that she wishes to meet with him in her quarters at his earliest convenience.
After the Mandalorian has informed her that Bralor has been made aware of her request, Ishild asks to be notified of his response when it has been made, and then returns to her quarters to pack in preparation for her return to the Kunigunde once her business with Bralor is concluded.

Manon nearly jumps out of her skin when Vashity seems to materialize from nowhere, and it is only the shock and attendant fear that keeps her frozen in place long enough to listen to what the woman says. Laughing somewhat hysterically when Vashity tells her to remain calm, Manon narrows her eyes after the woman finishes speaking, pointing a finger at Vashity almost accusingly as she says, "You were at the tapcaf, you followed me here? Her paranoia surging forth from within her, she asks in a voice as much frightened as it is affronted, How long have you been following me? Shaking her head, realizing that it ultimately does not matter how the woman answers if she cannot trust what she says, Manon lifts a hand as though to ward off any attempt the woman might make to continue trying to persuade her, I need a minute."
Trying to think things through rationally is difficult given the stress Manon has been under ever since she began her relationship with the resistance, but she knows she needs to try and do now if she is to make the best decision, not only for herself, but for the resistance as well. The possibility that Vashity is an undercover First Order or Mandalorian operative only pretending to be interested in helping the resistance so that she can destroy it has naturally occurred to Manon, but the longer she considers the idea the more unlikely it seems. If the First Order or Mandalorians thought she could lead them to the resistance, it seems far more likely that they would simply whisk her away to be interrogated, or worse. Sometimes, Manon knows, the simplest possible explanation for something is the most accurate, and the simplest explanation for why Vashity has approached her claiming to want to help the resistance is that she wants to do just that.
Taking a deep breath, like one about to dive off of a steep cliff, Manon says, "Okay. Let's start with this: who are you? Just someone wanting to, what, join the resistance? Is that how you can help them?"

Faelan, having been apprised of Admiral Sauer's request to meet with him, comes to her quarters, his buy'ce tucked beneath an arm as he tells asks her Stormtrooper guards to inform her that he is here to see the Admiral.
Entering Admiral Sauer's quarters once the Stormtroopers gain permission from her to admit him, Faelan stops inside the door and greets her, "You wished to see me, Admiral?"

Ishild, seated behind her desk, gestures towards the chair in front of it to invite Bralor to sit, "Yes, thank you for coming. Once Faelan has taken his seat, or chosen to remain standing if that is more his style, Ishild asks, The arrangement your people have with the First Order, does it extend beyond the occupation of Agamar? So as not to belabor the point, Ishild explains the reason for her question, I ask because my fleet has been given a mission that might benefit from your people's assistance."
In truth, Ishild believes her own forces are more than able to carry out the operation ahead, but not only has orders from the Knight of Ren to arrange for a squad of Mandalorian commandos, and also often finds flattery an effective diplomatic tool, and as such sees no reason not to test its effectiveness on Faelan. To give Faelan a better idea of what she is asking of his people, Ishild adds, "I was thinking, specifically, that a squad of your commandos would be a useful addition to my forces."

Unsure of how long it might take to discuss whatever it is that Admiral Sauer has in mind, Faelan decides to stand behind the chair she offers rather than sit in it. Once Admiral Sauer has explained in brief what she would ask of him, Faelan first explains, "It is only my clan, and individual members of several others who wished to join us, that came to an agreement with the First Order, Admiral Sauer, not the Mando'ade as a whole." That clarification having been made, Faelan moves on to the matter at hand, already beginning to think of a squad of Mando Ori'ramikade he believes might be interested in accepting a contract with Admiral Sauer even though the precise nature of the work involved is not likely to be revealed up front.
Guessing that Admiral Sauer's mission is one that she would prefer not to reveal to him from the fact that she offered no details, Faelan does not press for any additional information, and instead asks, "What compensation are you offering to the Mando Ori'ramikade you would like to have fight for you?"

Giving Manon both time and space to work through the understandably complicated and confusing emotions she must be feeling after what she has been told, Vashity waits until the reporter at last breaks her silence to ask a series of questions. Shaking her head, deciding that being truthful is likely to be the quickest and surest way to gain Manon's trust, Vashity says, "I'm not here to join the resistance, no. I'm a Jedi, she continues, here to try and gather intelligence on the First Order. Not wanting to make promises she may not be able to keep in light of the fact that the occupation of Agamar is a fait accompli where other worlds might be spared a similar fate, Vashity goes on, I don't want to deceive you, I don't know if I can help the resistance, but I do think that, with their help, I may be able to stop what happened here on Agamar from happening elsewhere. Explaining what she means in more specific terms, Vashity says, I believe that the being that your source saw arriving was a Knight of Ren, here to meet with the commander of a First Order fleet that has been waiting for that arrival. I suspect that the Knight of Ren has come to give the fleet orders, orders that could mean another world will be facing an invasion just like Agamar faced. If the resistance can help me learn where the fleet is headed, there is a chance I can get word to the Jedi Order and the Alliance, so that they have a chance to help whatever world will be in the First Order's crosshairs prepare to depend itself. Will you help me? Will you give countless others the chance to escape the tyranny of the First Order, a chance Agamar was never given?"

"It is only my clan, and individual members of several others who wished to join us, that came to an agreement with the First Order, Admiral Sauer, not the Mando'ade as a whole...What compensation are you offering to the Mando Ori'ramikade you would like to have fight for you?" Calling on her training in the art of diplomacy, Ishild does not let her disdain for mercenaries in general show in her expression as she accepts the news that the Mandalorians are less allies of the First Order than mere hired guns who fight for credits and material reward rather than for ideological reasons. Not wanting to be drawn into lengthy negotiations, Ishild decides to be generous in securing the aid of Mandalorians the Knight of Ren has asked her to acquire for their mission. Naming a price she believes is more than sufficient to avoid any annoying haggling over price, Ishild says, "That sum will be paid to each of the Ori'ramikade for their participation in the operation, and then to sweeten the deal adds, In addition, should the operation succeed, a bonus of regular shipments of raw materials and finished components your people can use in weapons or starship manufacturing will be sent to Mandalore."
Folding her hands together on the surface of the desk, Ishild says, "If those terms are acceptable, Sol'yc ver'alorn, the Ori'ramikade are to dock aboard my ship, the Kunigunde, to be briefed on their role in the operation, in, she consults a wall chrono and estimates how soon the briefing is likely to take place, no less than twenty hours time. Do we have an agreement?"

Extending a hand to shake on the proposed arrangement offered by Admiral Sauer, Faelan says, "We have an agreement, Admiral. Sauer's terms are more than satisfactory in Faelan's mind, the additional materials and supplies she offers in particular enticing given the recent developments on Manda'yaim with MandalMotors recent renewal. I will contact the Mando Ori'ramikade I have in mind at once, and will ensure that they arrive in time for your briefing."
Once he and Admiral Sauer say their farewells, Faelan leaves her quarters and, as agreed upon, sends a holonet message to the Mando Ori'ramikade he has selected for the mission, providing their commanding officer with the details the arrangement with the First Order Admiral.

Manon listens as the woman claiming to be a Jedi explains why she wishes to meet with the resistance, visibly struggling to decide whether or not to trust what is said. Having only her gut to rely on, Manon knows that, ultimately, she will need to make a leap of faith and hope for the best since she has no telepathic powers that enable her to tell lies from truths. The woman's sense of urgency seems genuine to Manon, and she cannot help but find the plea to help prevent other planets from falling under the First Order's rule moving, disappointing as it is to hear that there may be no way for the woman to help Agamar.
Nodding as though having reached a decision, Manon says, "I don't know why, but I believe you. But, listen, she explains as she realizes that the decision is not, in the end, hers to make alone, it isn't up to me. I can't just show up with you, I'll have to see if my contact will agree to meet you. Lifting her comlink from a pocket, she says with an apologetic smile, Looks like it's your turn to trust me. I have to notify my contact that I won't be alone."
After a brief conversation with her contact via comlink, Manon tells the alleged Jedi, "She's agreed to meet with us," and then suggests that they take her speeder to the location selected for the meeting, which turns out to be a classroom at the University of Agamar.
Nia Jernigan, the waif-like, pale skinned, blonde haired humanoid female that Manon introduces the alleged Jedi to, looks more like a librarian than a resistance fighter, though the steadiness of her gaze hints at the strength hidden beneath her nebbish exterior. There is nothing timid in her tone as, once the introductions have been made and Manon has briefly explained what Vashity wants from the resistance, Nia asks the Jedi, "Do you have a way to get information to your handlers in time for it to be of any use? Getting the information you want could mean burning one or more of our agents, and I'd like to know that you'll be able to make sure that the risk is worthwhile."

Once the meeting with Sol'yc ver'alorn Bralor has been satisfactorily concluded, Ishild graciously thanks the Mandalorian for the hospitality his people have shown her and her fleet during their stay on Agamar, diplomacy demanding that she do so even though she finds the need for it galling on a personal level. Having finished preparations for her return to the Kunigunde prior to meeting with Bralor, Ishild notifies her personal guard that she wishes to depart for her ship immediately, and then contacts the crew of her shuttle to make sure that they begin prepping their craft for departure.
Not long after the meeting with the Sol'yc ver'alorn has ended, Ishild's shuttle lifts off and begins the journey to her Nebula-class Star Destroyer in orbit over Agamar.

Vashity, relieved when after appearing to deliberate on the matter, Manon ultimately agrees to see if her contact in the resistance will meet with them both, has no issue with trusting the journalist even though, ultimately, she has little choice but to do so if she has any chance of learning what the recently arrived First Order fleet has been waiting and preparing for in time for her to have any hope of acting on whatever intelligence she might be able to acquire with the help of the resistance.
Having learned long age not to, as the old adage advises, judge others based on appearances alone, Vashity does not underestimate Nia's abilities or resources despite the fact she seems more a scholar than a member of a resistance movement. Though she finds herself wondering whether Nia is actually a faculty or other staff member of the university, or has simply chosen the role as a deceptively innocuous cover identity, Vashity sets her curiosity aside as there is more likely than not very little time for pursuing subjects other than the matter at hand, answering Nia's more than understandable concern about whether or not Vashity can utilize any intelligence gained quickly enough to justify the all too real risks acquiring it will pose to the resistance's agents who strive to do so, "I have a plan in place, yes. Explaining her strategy in brief in the interest of time, Vashity says, My cover identity is that of an officer on a shipping freighter that can depart from Agamar on a legitimate run with little to no notice. I would be able to contact my superiors once the freighter is far enough from Agamar, and they would then be able to respond accordingly. The sooner your agents can get the intel to me, the sooner I can move to ensure it has a chance of being acted upon."

Resistance operatives manning a SIGINT listening station based in Calna Muun and reporting to Nia Jernigan will soon have something of interest to the Jedi Investigator. While monitoring intercepted comm transmissions between the ships of First Order Admiral Ishild Sauer's fleet, the operatives will, once their code breakers are able to decrypt the content of one of the final transmissions made prior to the fleet's departure, learn that the fleet's destination is Rendili, in the Core Worlds.
Though the content of the intercepted transmission gives no indication of the fleet's purpose for journeying to Rendili, the implications of the destination should be readily apparent.

Nia nods once the Jedi has explained her strategy for getting any intel back to her handlers, and, understanding that time is of the essence, says, "Well then, let's see if we cannot get you something useful quickly enough that the Jedi might be able to use it."
After saying farewell to Manon, and suggesting that the Jedi make herself comfortable while word is sent out to resistance operatives who might be able to get the information Vashity has asked for, Nia begins sending encoded holonet messages to the individual resistance members who stand the greatest chance of successfully learning where the First Order fleet will be departing for.
Sometime later, Nia receives word from one of her operatives that the First Order fleet has entered hyperspace, apparently bound for Rendili. Returning to where Vashity is waiting, Nia says, "The fleet's destination is Rendili. They've already entered hyperspace, so I imagine you'll need to leave quickly as well? Offering the Jedi a hand, she says, Manon said you'd see if the Jedi might be able to help us, so I hope this won't be the last we hear from you."

Waiting always one of the more challenging aspects of any undercover operation for her, especially when it seems as though something momentous looms on the horizon, Vashity had actively sought ways to keep herself occupied while Nia set the wheels within her control in motion, consciously preparing herself all the while for disappointment even though her gut told her that the resistance would be successful in their attempt to learn what sinister purpose the First Order fleet had in store.
Following her instincts, Vashity had contacted the managing partner of the shipping concern that owns the Ekundayo, the freighter that Vashity had journeyed to Agamar on under the guise of an engineering officer, to have him begin the process of sending the Ekundayo on a delivery run that will enable her to get in contact with the Jedi and pass on any intel the resistance is able to gather. Once the partner had assured her that the Ekundayo would be prepared to depart as soon as she was able to reach the loading yards where the rest of the crew would begin prepping the freighter for departure, Vashity had tried with little success to meditate.
Feeling a sudden sense of calm fill her when Nia had finally returned with news of what her operatives had been able to learn, Vashity clasps the woman's hand when it is offered, telling her sincerely, "Thank you, I only that I can get this to the Council in time for it to spare Rendili from the suffering Agamar has endured. I need to leave, now, she confirms, meeting Nia's eyes as she assures her, I will do everything I can to return, to find a way to repay you and your people."
After leaving the University of Agamar, Vashity returns to her swoop bike, riding it as quickly as she is able back to the apartment she had been provided. Quickly packing her belongings, Vashity takes her swoop bike to the loading yard where the Ekundayo and its crew are waiting for her. Tamping down her eagerness to report in, Vashity grumbles along with the rest of the freighter's crew about the last minute call to set out on an unscheduled delivery run, maintaining her cover identity as she prepares to fulfill the duties of the engineering officer that it demands.
Once the freighter's crew has completed the preparations for departure, it takes off and sets out for orbit.

Once their M22-T Krayt gunship has set down, Raicheal offers, "I'll handle the post-flight checks, and nods vaguely aft as she suggests helpfully, Go check on her, I'm sure she'll forgive you sooner or later."
Taking a deep breath, as though far less certain than Raicheal of being forgiven, Faelan pauses for a moment before standing and, face not unlike one marching into the dangerous unknown, walks slowly from the cockpit as though walking into certain danger that cannot be avoided.
"Telarial? Faelan calls out gently as he heads aft, We've arrived, he adds lamely before asking, Is there anything I can help you carry out?"

*Telarial, having already been ready and rearing to go, pokes her head up from where she was standing on the ship's lowered boarding ramp and calls up to him in answer to his question with a rather teasing and playful tone. She had either apparently forgotten all about their earlier conversation in the cockpit, or she had simply silently forgiven him.*
"Yes. You. Come on, old man...we're burning daylight!"
*Telarial shifted and silently adjusted the straps of her backpack and crossed her arms. She began to tap a foot impatiently but a grin was already blossoming on her youthful face.*

Relieved when Telarial's response makes it readily apparent that he has no need to worry that his earlier indiscretion will make things awkward between them, Faelan follows her lead and says, "Right you are, while walking down the boarding ramp to join her. Lots to do and see, no?"
The trip a working one, they are met shortly after landing by Alor'itsad Éibhear Bralor, who acts as commander of the Mando'ade forces stationed on Agamar during those times when Faelan is offworld, and the two Mando'ade accompanying him. Introductions are made all around, the tenor of the reunion one that feels more professional than anything given that Faelan and Éibhear seldom interact outside of their respective duties on Agamar, after which Raicheal joins Faelan and Telarial as they make their way to where their personal quarters will be during their stay on Agamar.
Once they have had a few moments to get situated, Faelan raps on the door of Telarial's quarters, telling her with a somewhat resigned and less than enthusiastic tone, "I need to attend a briefing shortly, so that Éibhear can bring me up to speed on the state of affairs here on Agamar. You are welcome to attend, he adds in a tone suggesting that she would probably find said briefing quite dull, but I would understand if you would prefer not to. Perhaps, he suggests, you and Raichel could tour the city or grab something to eat?"

*Telarial tried not to feel so overwhelmed by all of the new sights, sounds, and introductions to numerous acquantainces as they made their way to their assigned quarters. She opened the door when Faelan knocked and frowned, looking none too pleased with either options presented.*
"Buir, honestly...we haven't even been here an hour and you are already trying to get rid of me. What's the deal with this meeting of yours? Why is it so important?"
*Her expression changed into one of pleading.*
"I thought we were going to spend more time together...."

Faelan frowns when Telarial reveals that she believes he is trying to extricate himself from her when he is doing nothing of the kind, instead merely dispensing with a few necessary details now so that they do not create interruptions later. Holding his hands up as though surrendering, Faelan smiles as he says, "And we will be spending more time together ad'ika, I promised you that, and I meant it. His smile taking on a mischievous quality as it occurs to him that there may be a way to not only avoid making Telarial feel as though he is trying to get away from her, but also to ensure that he is not stuck in a briefing any longer than needs be, Faelan says, Come on, and then, putting an arm around his daughter's shoulders when she steps out into the corridor, begins leading the way to his office here on Agamar to meet with Éibhear, jokingly telling Telarial, Just remember, you had a chance to escape from this."
'This' turns out to be a small briefing, which Faelan also invites Raicheal to so that she can more easily assume his responsibilities when the time comes, and which is cut down to be shorter than it might otherwise would have been for Telarial's benefit, just as Faelan had hoped it would be. Éibhear summarizes earnings from industrial, agricultural, and other sectors; details shipments to First Order worlds, Manda'yaim, or from those worlds to Agamar; and concludes with the only part of the meeting that Faelan finds truly interesting, for a variety of reasons. Counterintelligence specialists believe that there is evidence of resistance operatives, most likely remnants of Agamar's old defense force or their supporters, operating in Calna Muun. If true, Falean thinks as he files the information Éibhear goes on to give them away for later use, it could provide an opportunity for the Mando'ade to finally rid Agamar of the resistance entirely.
Suggesting that they go out and see more of the city together, after he has officially made Raicheal his proxy for the foreseeable future so that he can devote himself fully to the task of preparing Telarial for her verd'goten, Faelan adopts what, for him, is a leisurely pace as they visit some of the more prominent or popular areas of the city. While the First Order and Mando'ade presence is visible throughout the city, it is also apparent that neither group is oppressively present, the populace, by and large having been permitted to go about their lives with very little change. Their beskar'gam earns them the occasional worried, angry, or nervous glance, but Telarial and Faelan are treated little differently than any other visitor to the world would be for the most part.
After an unhurried lunch in a small, quaint shopping district where they had looked at more clothes, furniture, and other predominantly handmade goods, Faelan suggests that they go to a nearby open air market, the thought occurring to him that he might avail himself of the opportunity to begin gathering consumables for the first bit of preparation he has in mind to ensure that Telarial is ready for her verd'goten.

*Telarial was surprised that the meeting wasn't as boring as Faelan made it sound. She listened intently and had a feeling that she and her buir were going to eventually play a key role in the future when it came to mopping up the resistance fighters. She enjoyed lunch with her buir and loved every moment of it. When they stopped at some nearby shops she couldn't help but gravitate towards the weapons stores. She tried to be discreet about her keen interest in the EE-4 blaster rifle on display that immediately caught her eye and turned her head away when she caught Faelan staring at her. She grinned sheepishly and rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly. Then she excused herself to go use the restroom and left him to his own devices.*
