*Another beautiful day spent out in the jungles of Felucia, just Morgan and her friend Serena. Today was something a little different though: Together they rode on the back of Rush the akk, dashing through the trees and fungi and deeper and deeper into the jungle. Morgan just wanted to see how far they could go, and she was quite enjoying the thrill and the, well, rush. And yes, she even thought that pun in her head and giggled at it.
The wind whistled past her, whipping her hair, and she was actually just a little grateful for the height difference between her and Serena, or else the taller girl would've been practically force-fed Morgan's hair. Rush seemed to have sensed something, as he made for a specific course and diverted toward it. Something about it seemed a little different, more open, less plant life... unnatural in a sense. It was when Rush burst through a bush and came to a stop inside a city that Morgan realized why it seemed that way.
Obviously their entrance hadn't gone unnoticed: A small collection of pedestrians had noticed and were surprised at their appearance; a man that appeared to be in his early twenties seemed especially stunned at the sight of the large, red, scaly reptomammal, so much so that he immediately fainted.
Morgan giggled, but another important detail became immediately clear to her: Neither her nor Serena were clothed at the moment, their jungle journey having succumbed to typical habits. This no doubt wasn't sitting well with Serena, nor, probably, decency laws within this city, but Morgan couldn't stifle a grin as she ushered Rush to back into the jungle and take care not to turn around for Serena's sake.
A few moments later, Morgan, now dressed, reappeared in the city, leaving Rush behind to wander the jungle; he probably would have just drawn too much attention anyway. The fainted man was pulling himself to his feet, warily looking around where he saw the beast before. When there were only children there, he blinked disbelievingly, as though wondering whether he was just hallucinating, before shaking his head and muttered something about "drinking" before walking away. Giggling again, Morgan turned toward Serena.* This is cool! I don't think I've ever been here before, Rush must've gone a long way! *She wasn't sure which city this was, though it might've been Niango; that was where her father usually went for shopping sometimes, so it was probably the closest. Unless Rush had gone even further and faster than she realized...*

*Serena was relieved to have gotten out of the archives and out here in the jungle. Fresh air was always nice and it was doubly nice because she could spend more time with Morgan. Of course, there had been a certain condition that they had agreed to before heading out, but she didn't mind. No one else around besides Morgan. And so they rode on Rush through the jungle, Serena eagerly taking in the sights and sounds. She wondered how far Rush could take them, as he was moving quite fast now...
After awhile, she began to notice that the vegetation seemed to be thinning or something. Her brow furrowed, but she didn't have time to question it as suddenly they burst through one of the bushes and found themselves in a city. Ordinarily this would not have been a big deal, but neither of them were wearing any clothing, a rather big deal for Serena, though probably not for Morgan. Thankfully, the rather surprised locals didn't have time to gawk as Morgan turned Rush around rather quickly. At least the man who had seem them had fainted, at least from what she had seen. Maybe he wouldn't remember...Serena hoped that he wouldn't remember. How embarrassing...
After quickly pulling on her clothes, her face very red, she followed Morgan back into the city, fidgeting nervously."Y-yeah...I guess...oh gods I hope that man didn't...see us!"

*As expected, the brief little incident left Serena visibly embarrassed. Morgan simultaneously felt bad for her and thought it was mildly amusing, though when Serena worried that the fainting man had seen them, Morgan couldn't resist a giggle. Jake probably would have acted much similarly honestly. But Morgan had to reassure her, so she shook her head reassuringly.* I don't think he did, he was staring at Rush before he passed out. *She giggled again, then looked around at the city. Cities on Felucia were... boring. Well, cities in general were boring. They just weren't as neat as nature, forests, jungles, anything really. ... well, maybe not anything, since not all nature was pretty. But on Felucia it was, and that was good enough for Morgan. Still, it would be neat to explore and find out more about this place.* So what do you think, should we check it out or go back to the jungle? *She did love the jungle, but... Well, they should try new things for once. Change things up again. And it wasn't like she was any more removed from her mother just because the ground was made of concrete; they were still in the open air, which was more than Morgan could say about the Jedi Base.*

*Serena hoped Morgan was right that the man had been more focused on Rush and not them, as she probably would die of embarrassment if she had been seen. But it was over now and it looked like they were in the clear, so it was OK. She took a deep breath and nodded.*"Right...OK then..."*She glanced around the city for a moment, wondering just what kind of city this was. She hadn't read much about Felucia's other settlements yet, so she didn't really have any information to go on. Morgan asked if they should explore the city or go back into the jungle, and she glanced back at where they had come in. Exploring the jungle was fun and all, but it might be nice to see a city for once too. Besides, if there wasn't anything here, then they could just go back and have fun in the jungle again. Although Serena was going to wait until they were VERY far away before taking anything off again...
She smiled a little and gestured towards the city.*"We can explore here if you want, and if we can't find anything fun to do here, then we can just go back into the jungle."*She took Morgan's hand and started walking, figuring eventually they would find something interesting.

*Good, Serena wanted to check out the city too. Something new and exciting to find maybe? Well, probably not so much exciting; it was just a city. But that didn't mean it couldn't at least be interesting— Woah. Morgan hadn't expected Serena to just take her hand and walk on like that. She almost stumbled and regained her footing as she walked alongside Serena further into the city. But a thought came to Morgan as she stopped and tugged on Serena's arm, signaling she should do the same.* Wait. Let's ask someone where we are first. *Looking around, she spotted a Gossam woman approaching their direction. Morgan quickly approached her and spoke.* Um, excuse me, but what city is this? *The woman paused, seeming surprised and a bit disinterested at first, then just outright confused by the question. Well, Morgan supposed it was an odd one, and the Gossam seemed to be studying their appearance. Maybe she was trying to see if they had stumbled in here from the wild, but Morgan was wearing regular clothing and not her Felucian garb. The lightsaber on her belt seemed to draw the most attention, but the woman still seemed confused before answering.* You're in Niango. Where did you come from? *Similar to her expression, her voice sounded bewildered. Morgan giggled a little before answering.* We were playing in the jungle and ended up here, and we've never been here before, but thanks! *The Gossam only seemed surprised. After a brief moment, she only nodded then walked away, shaking her head and muttering something about the jungle being dangerous and the kids these days were too careless. Morgan grinned to herself; if only she knew. Then she turned to Serena.* Well, I guess we are in Niango. I was right! Now let's keep going. *Now she was the one to tug Serena off by the hand as she headed further in the city. Would getting back to the base be easy from here, would they have to call her daddy for pickup? They'd be fine. Now to see what they could find...*

*Niango...again, Serena knew pretty much nothing about this place, which made her a little nervous but mostly just excited. After all, it was a new place to explore and surely there was something interesting to be found here. Giggling as Morgan tugged her along, she kept an eye out for anything that might be worth a look at. They were bound to come across something eventually."So you've never been here before?"

*Morgan shook her head as she walked, taking in the sights and trying to get her bearings.* Nope. My daddy has. Michelle and Belle-Belle have. But I've never seen it. *There seemed to be mostly apartments around this area, with a few small-time shops and restaurants around. There seemed to be a spaceport not too far away, and judging by the ship that just descended toward it, she was probably correct. The species diversity wasn't too great, it was mostly humans, Gossams, and near-humans with a handful of various other species. Morgan wondered to herself if Felucians ever came into the city, but they'd be pretty few and far between if so.
Morgan managed to convince Serena into one of the shops to look around. It wasn't a particularly special shop, Morgan just wanted to take a peek around and familiarize herself with the local, well, could she call it culture? While she browsed along curiously, what she didn't notice was a male patron nearby, discreetly slipping a carton of cigarettes into his jacket before making for the exit...*

*Serena followed Morgan around the city, not really seeing anything worth checking out, but maybe that was because of where they were in the city. This must have been a residential area or something with lots of apartment buildings and only a few other stores and stuff. Not too exciting so far...
Now they were inside a store, fairly generic, but it was better than wandering aimlessly through the streets. She peered at the various items around the store, following Morgan as they slowly walked along the aisles. As they rounded one corner, Serena looked over to see a man quietly slipping a pack of cigarettes into his jacket and heading for the exit. Except he didn't seem to be heading for the cash register, which meant...he was gonna steal something!
Giving it no second thought, she turned and yelled to the cashier, just as the man was about to exit the store."Stop that man!! He's shoplifting!!"

*Serena's sudden shout to the cashier made Morgan look around in shock and alert, wondering what was the cause even before she deciphered the words. Shoplifting? The thief Serena seemed to be indicating seemed to hesitate only slightly before bolting, giving the cashier time to only reach for a comm line, probably to report the theft.
Morgan knew that would only take too much time, so she gave chase. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to catch him on her own, so she added a bit of the Force to her motions, giving her the little bit more boost of speed she needed in order to leap at the man, extending her legs with her right foot aiming a kick at his back. She connected, sending the man toppling forward with an "Oomph," Morgan landing on top of him. She put a hand on her lightsaber just in case, though didn't unclip it, as she used her left knee and her left palm to try to pin him down as she interrogated him.* You better show me what you stole and take it back and pay for it, or else?! *The shoplifter definitely hadn't seen the hit coming, but he definitely hadn't expected his assailant to have the voice of a child. Or feel so light.* Are you serious?! I got knocked over by a gods-damned kid?! *He tried to swat her off; if Morgan had been grown then maybe she actually could have pinned him, instead of overestimating her very small size and light weight. She slid off his back but grabbed onto her his arm, looking around for her friend for assistance.* Serena!

Serena wasted no time in going after Morgan and the shoplifter, tearing out into the streets as fast as she could to catch up to them. Luckily, she had been taught the basics of Force Speed, and was able to use it to keep pace with Morgan, who seemed to have had the same idea. Seeing Morgan take down the crook was impressive, but her small size prevented her from keeping him down. Before the man could escape Morgan's grasp, Serena lunged forwards and grabbed his other arm."Gotcha!"She held on with all her strength, hoping that some kind of authority would arrive soon. They might not be able to hold him for very long...

*Good, there was Serena, right behind her and supplying her aid in keeping the man pinned down by the arms. It was a struggle for Morgan, she wasn't sure if she could keep him down for long. But fortunately she heard the police sirens in the distance only a few moments later; the man briefly tried to put up a greater struggle then seemed to just give up. Finally, the speeders pulled up and a couple of officers exited their vehicles, initially heading toward the shop before the cashier directed them to the scene instead, then approached them.* Young ladies, is there a problem? *Morgan, still sitting on the man's arm and trying to keep it pushed down with one hand, pointed at him with the other.* This man stole something! My friend saw it! *The man gave a nervous chuckle.* Kids these days, they have such wild imaginations, officer! *This guy really needed to work on his acting skills. Morgan groaned.* You're lying! *The officer took another step forward, gesturing for the girls to let him up.* Now now, young lady. Maybe you should tell us what you think he stole instead. What she thought he stole?! What, did he not trust him just because she was little? Well she definitely wasn't budging, but as she hadn't seen what happened, Morgan looked toward Serena instead, expecting her to answer; she'd apparently seen it after all.*

Serena wanted to smack this guy, but she refrained from doing so as now there was an officer on the scene. She eyed the officer nervously for a moment, then turned back to the perp, remembering what she had seen him trying to sneak into his jacket. She turned back to the officer."I saw him trying to sneak some cigarettes, sir! I yelled that he was stealing and then he ran! So we ran after him!"

Cigarettes? *The man briefly tried to struggle but a look from Morgan froze him again.* I had the urge to smoke and almost took one out in the store, but realized that was rude with children nearby and left. The girl just thought I was taking it from the store is all! *Morgan growled and almost wanted to twist his arm, but managed to restrain herself.* Prove it and show us! And don't even try to run! *She released his arm and stood, keeping a glare focused upon him. He visibly hesitated, slowly stood, and, wth a shaking hand, retrieved the unopened pack of cigarettes and held them in plain sight.* I-I just didn't get a chance to use it yet! *The officer stepped forward and swiped the pack, examining it then furrowing his brows at the man.* Never heard of a smoker waiting till this long in the day to open a pack, he'd at least have one on the way out the door. *The cashier's voice came from the door; no doubt he wasn't leaving the store unattended should someone else attempt to sneak an item when no one was looking.* Confirmed a carton is missing, and no one has purchased any today! *The officer briefly pocketed the cigarettes and removed a pair of binders from his belt, grabbing the man's wrist and spinning him around in order to cuff him.* You're going down to the station for questioning. Get him loaded up. *He shoved the shoplifter toward another couple of officers, who ushered the man into one of the vehicles; he wasn't trying to make up anymore stories. Morgan beamed, feeling a little proud of herself for helping bust a shoplifter. The officer turned to her, removing the cigarettes from his pocket—probably so that he didn't forget to return them—and crouched down to her and Serena's level.* I appreciate your enthusiasm, but you should leave busting the criminals to us. Wouldn't want two pretty little things like you to get hurt by someone dangerous. *... he was looking down on them for their size. That was the one thing Morgan absolutely despised. Her fists clenched and shook but she tried to relax; yelling at an officer was a bad idea. In fact, so was letting her temper get out of control. So she closed her eyes and took deep, calming breaths, doing a brief set of meditations to calm her down a little. Then she opened her eyes and stared into the officer's.* Thanks, sir, but we're tougher than that! Just because we're little— *She stopped, gave Serena a sideways glance, then returned her gaze to the officer.* ... just because I'm little doesn't mean I can't take care of myself! Look! *Without moving her eyes, she gestured toward the lightsaber on her hip.* Jedi! That's what we do! We're... we're here on official business! *No they weren't, but if the officer bought it, then that was perfect. Despite her fiery conviction though, the officer only looked perplexed and uncertain, rubbing his chin with his forefinger.* What business is that? *And that was where Morgan was lost. Morgan reached out in the Force to gently nudge Serena mentally; maybe she'd have something.*

Serena was fine with letting Morgan do most of the talking here, though she too also felt quite satisfied for having busted that thief. It seemed like a lot of trouble over one measly carton of cigarettes, though. Oh well. He'd been stopped so that was good.
She couldn't help but roll her eyes as the officer lectured her, and she was most definitely in agreement with Morgan, nodding her head when the other girl declared that just because they...er...Morgan was little that they couldn't take care of themselves. Except then Morgan stated that they were Jedi on official business. Well one of those was true, they were sort of Jedi, but what business could they be on?
Serena's mind raced as she tried to come up with something."Er...we're...on patrol! Yeah, we're patrolling the city!"Ugh, there was no way he was gonna buy that lame story...

*Serena seemed to hesitate and stammer as she tried to come up with some sort of explanation, before settling on them being "on patrol." Not even Morgan was sure she could support that story if she tried, and she could tell by the officer's expression that he wasn't about to buy it either. And sure enough, he shook his head before standing.* Sorry sweetheart. Jedi patrol I can buy, but not by two children alone such as yourselves. Is your master or whatever nearby? *"Master or whatever"? This man didn't seem very educated about the Jedi hierarchy. Curious for a police officer... Morgan resisted another growl and unclenched her fists that had just curled up again, keeping her gaze level with the man. Well, as level as she could for their height difference.* No. We came here by ourselves. And we can take care of ourselves! We're not babies! Don't you know anything about Jedi?! *Her voice was raising and she could feel her temper rising. Not good. She looked down and took a few more calming breaths, trying to get back into control. While she was sincerely aggravated, she wasn't making a very good impression, of herself or of the Jedi. After one final exhalation, she looked up again, trying to appear more calm.* Sorry, sir. But please don't underestimate us. *The officer just stared at her in concern, though part of his expression seemed almost fearful, as though he was unsure of what she actually was capable of or what she could do. But after her apology and plea, he seemed to be a little more at ease and even smiled a little, reaching down to ruffle her hair.* Whatever you say, kid. Just be careful. *He then turned away in order to return the unpaid-for cigarettes and head to his speeder. Morgan just stared in disbelief, hair slightly disheveled from the gesture. He was patronizing them! He didn't truly trust her or believe her, he was still treating them like small children. Which by definition, Morgan perfectly fit the bill, but she definitely wasn't helpless or foolish like a small child. She grumbled to herself a little, then turned and began walking away from the scene.* Come on, Serena.

Serena stayed silent while Morgan conversed with the officer, probably for the best since she had nothing nice to say to this officer. She hated being treated like a helpless little kid just as much as Morgan did. She had been on Felucia for almost a month now, training with the Jedi all by herself! Well...maybe not ALL by herself but still! People just didn't get it sometimes...
Oh well. Serena was glad that he had at least let them continue to wander the city instead of taking them in or something like that. Still, Morgan seemed a little upset at how she had been treated by the officer, not that Serena blamed her for it. She followed Morgan away from the scene."Well...at least we did a good deed, right?"

I guess. *Morgan gave a very quick shrug of the shoulders to accompany this response. Right now she had no particular aim, she just wanted to get away from the scene and calm down. Honestly, her averse reaction to being underestimated and treated like a child was dangerous. It was one of her very few triggers that set her off, and if that was discovered, well, honestly that was a bit of a weakness someone could exploit. Or use to lure her to the dark side...
That would never happen. She vowed it wouldn't after all the events in her life regarding that filth.
When she felt she was sufficiently relaxed, she inhaled and sighed, then looked around. They weren't in the market district anymore, that was for sure. And that was probably the only interesting area of the city. Here seemed more... plain. Featureless. Maybe slightly dirtier. Nothing remarkable about it. It was almost a chilling feeling, but Morgan shook it off and looked at Serena.* So now what? I kinda don't wanna leave yet, but dunno if there's anything else good we can do... *Her voice had started out calm before ending on a mixed note of resignation and a bit of resentment. She was still understandably bitter about the incident at the store, but she wanted to see what else the city had to offer before writing it off as a waste of their time.*

Serena wasn't sure what else to do now, not really seeing anything that drew her attention much. This part of the city looked a little less well off than the area they had been in earlier, at least in her opinion. Honestly, it gave her the creeps a little, like they had wandered into an area of the city that they weren't supposed to be in. Still, they hadn't explored the whole city just yet so it might still be worth looking around just in case they had missed something. She sighed and shrugged."Well I dunno...maybe we should keep looking."
She was starting to get a bad feeling about this place, but she tried to shrug it off."I feel like someone's watching us..."It was creepy, but Serena was getting the feeling like someone was indeed watching them, reinforcing the feeling that they shouldn't be here. She didn't sense anything through the Force yet, though.

*Keep looking, whatever, Morgan supposed. Anywhere but this part of the city, though. If the whole city looked like this, or if this was the first part of the city they'd entered, Morgan probably would have turned back without a second thought, but at least she already knew the entire city wasn't like this, which gave her hope that there were still some other interesting areas to discover in Niango. Maybe.
But before she could respond to Serena's paranoia, she felt the faintest bit of contact before her entire world went black.
After an unknown span of time, her senses faded back into existence. Sounds started as muffled, vision blurry, until things came back into focus. She heard voices talking as she stared at a white wall and tan-carpeted floors. At first she couldn't make out what the voices were saying, but it wasn't long before they came into focus.* "... be kriffing dead in the brain if you thought nabbin' two Jedi kids was a good idea." "Thought we'd ransom 'em! I'm sure they'd pay a pretty penny, perhaps extort them into grantin' us some kind of immunity. How's that not a good idea?" "You have any idea what kind of force they have?" "That mystical energy stuff?" "Not that! I mean their strength! We'd be no match and they know it. They'd just take their kids back and toss us to the cops." "We hold guns to their heads and threaten to pull the trigger if they try anything?" "And what about when that gun's yanked from your hands by the other Force?" "Rig explosives, threaten to detonate with a remote?" "Did you not just hear what I said? Should just let 'em go." "But they'll know where our HQ is if we just carry 'em out!" "Not if you knock 'em out again you idiot." "Won't someone investigate?" "So drop 'em off on the other side of the city." "Right sir, that's why you're the boss, sir." "You're lucky I don't terminate you." *Morgan was aware of everything now. Serena was here too. They'd been taken in by thugs, but she wasn't sure what kind. The voices were distant, probably in a different room. Morgan's hands were bound, felt like wire of some kind. She was slumped against Serena in a corner of an adjacent room, she imagined. Looking at her feet, they too were bound. But was she the only one awake? She had to make sure, in a hushed whisper.* Serena, you okay? *If these guys thought they were going to knock the two of them out again, they had another thing coming. They were up to no good, and they weren't going to get away with taking Morgan off-guard. She and Serena were gonna break free, then show these guys what they had coming. Then... turn them over to the police. That part almost made her bitter, but she had to focus on the present right now.*
