Quarren Dominion

Currently there's a skirmish over Raxus Prime, where our forces pretty much hunt after groups of lightsiders/Jedis, making it possible that some of the padawans and knights have escaped to the surface or stranded there, making it therefore reasonable for the Dominion to dispatch a smaller force that hunts those survivors down
and we also have also occupied Lothal recently, where the Dominion pretty much did the same thing as Dooku and Palpatine did with the Clone Wars on a smaller scale.
It's pretty much a threesome of factions, where the Dominion has pretty much came to protect the citizens of Lothal city and the major settlements from the horrors, that were unleashed by the two other factions,
namely the Wolf Cult, a pagan faction that features werewolf-like creatures and Wyrwulves within it's ranks (thus Sithspawn here is a bit hairier), that wishes to bring anarchy onto the planet, given that most members came from the poor ranks,
and the Caste of Lords, who are a noble vampiric bunch, that has employed various mercenary armies under their fold, thinking that they were the true protectors of Lothal and that their power overrides the one of the former weak gouvernment they served. They're pretty much addicted to blood, given due to an experimental drug they recieved by Dominion agents, having caused most of them to become insane while letting their mercenaries roam the landside for further conflicts with the Wolf Cult or local militia forces.

I think both of these settings could be ideal for your character to start with, as Lothal's landscape can feature quite a lot of horrific stuff.
The other worlds are also fine, though both on Mon Cala and on Jabiim, the Dominion's horrors are less dominant on the surface and more present within the shadows due to them being the main army centers for new soldiers.
There's also Abraxin, but it's quite secluded, given that it is the Sorcerer's cult side, where they continiue to build various temples in honor to their wretched gods, that partially dwell on these planets even.
