 Quarren DominionRising from the ashes of the fallen Galactic Alliance, a new Dominion, lead by local Quarren leaders and their supporters have risen from the depths of Mon Calamari in order to unify the planet under Quarrenese controll. Yet, despite the official leadership consisting out of Quarren clan leaders, the souvereigns of Dac are secretly serving the ominous Prophet C'Thyl, a Dark Sorcerer and prominent cult leader, and his vision to bring the Way of the Dark, teachings told from the Sorcerers of Rhand, and other horrors towards the known galaxy.
Acting in destructive ways, the Dominion combines Mon Calamari and Quarren technology with the ancient teachings of Sith Sorcerers and horrible mutations in order to cause destruction among the stars, aiming to summon forth fortold horrors onto the worlds within its reach. With the gouvernment justifying the expansion of the Dominion by the means of surviving against outer threats and obtaining new rescources, only a minority of Mon Calamari's population is even aware of its leadership's sinister motives - as those opposing tend to vanish without a trace quickly. If you wish to join the Dominion, it is possible that you are already a member of either Quarren society or even a Mon Calamari, native to the planet of Mon Calamari - due to its nature as an aquatic planet with a lot of underwater cities any member of an amphibious or waterbreathing race is likely to join up with the Dominion, though of course the Dominion is not race-specific. Anyone can join as long as they have a common cause with the Dominion and its expansionist doctrines. Forcesensitive beings are likely to end up within the cult of C'Thyl on long term, accepting perhaps even their destiny to become a Dark Sorcerer or Sithspawn themselves - though within the official parts of the Dominion there are a lot of open positions within the Quarren Military as well. Though as a fair warning it should be mentioned that it might not be any ordinary career, you might witness. As a force-sensitive being within the Dominion, it might also be wise to read this post within our Database, as it explains the main philosophy of the Quarren Dominion and predecessors, who once followed the Way of the Dark, in more detail. Out of character (OOC): Contact Prophet C'thyl if you have any specific ideas for a character, which either wants to witness being part of a lovecraftian faction or wants to attempt a different Darksider approach. As by example of other group members, a lot of horror-themed ideas within the Quarren Dominion are possible, so don't hesitate to tell us! As a new faction we welcome all new writers, who wish to participate. Leadership:Officially the Dominion was lead by the Triarchy of Quarren leaders of which C'Thyl was once one of them, before their power was usurped by him in an event of several machinations, which currently allow the Prophet to rule as the only Triarch of the Dominion. Locations under Dominion controll:Capital sector: Mon Calamari  As the center of the Quarren Dominion's official gouverment, Mon Calamari and its surrounding systems does not solely serve as the headquarters of the state, but as well as its ship wharfts. With both Pammant Docks and the famous Mon Calamari Shipyards under its controll, the Dominion's controll over this world is of strategical importance. From the swamps of this world do also hail the Amphi-Hydrus, a darksider race, native to the swamps of Dac.Border sector: Abraxin  Located within the Tion Cluster, the swamp world of Abraxin is shrouded by mists as predatorss like the famous marsh haunts roam its surface. Alongside humans, the world is colonized by Barabels, making it an ideal recruitment point for ruthless mercenaries, whom the Dominion wishes to indoctrinate into their army. Dark side experiments are also to be conducted upon its surface, making it a viable outpost as the Sorcerers try to uncover the secrets buried below the mud of the swamp planet.Mining sector: Jabiim  Utilized completely as a mining world, Jabiim provides Mon Calamari with additional rescources in terms of its ever-hungry construction sites, turning the planet solely into a symbol of its former past during the Clone Wars and the Galactic Empire. So how would one think about Kelam getting involved with the Dominion? At this point in time, its been a year or so since the Slave Trade he worked to take down (story currently in progress) and through those events and a few others afterward, Kelam has gone from seeking the elimination of dark and evil beings so that good could prosper to beleliving that there is no life worth saving and wishes for the destruction of all life and is seeking ways to accomplish it.

I guess this attitude kinda goes well with what the Dominion - or at least it's inner circle- seeks to establish. Not to mention that a lot of rescources are put into creating things which are made to destroy more things.
Therefore, no objections from my side.

While still waiting for a final approval as to make the overall announcement, I wanted to let everyone know that the MC80 Home One and Liberty-types have been updated with their armaments. Noted, I'll keep further updates in mind. Furthermore, I will announce, that the Dominion will attempt in near future to subjugate surrounding systems, the main targets on the list being Abraxin and Jabiim. While I already started the annexation of Abraxin, assuming that negotiations there with the locals will be more realistic, the subjugation of Jabiim will be a more major event, free for every Dominion member to participate. It will end within the planet's submission, given our assets and might hopefully be a good demonstration of how the rest of the galaxy has to see us. A brief overlook of the Dominion's army structure can be found here. What will most likely await us: - a desert world, remnants of a once muddy world - unstable electric field, and electric storms, which can affect hovercraft - several strongholds from previous eras, occupied by the human population, refered to as Jabiimi - a lot of canyons and plains - a triumphant victory |

Noticed and edited.  Guess we should have covered now most of the MonCalamari Shipyards products if we will ever be in need of them or users wish to compose a fleet out of most likely available vessels for our faction. Also, for everyone else I'd like to remind that we began our assault upon Jabiim. I welcome any ideas and suggestions to the overall arc, assuming that it won't be a major war, but mostly taking multiple fortresses upon the planet's surface in order to take out any sort of resistance. Merely asking though because people here had some interest in doing stuff for the Dominion. |

Added up new ground forces and vehicles, always open for more suggestions + a new type of transport ship in case people want to ferry around Supreme Vehicles (as the Krabbex-class Mobile Fortress is pretty much an overambitious AT-AT) since they don't fit into support vessels and most capital ships aren't build for landing on a planet. Also will add up in the future the Aqua Droids on Standart troops, since I kinda want to give the Dominion in the future a more brutish approach in terms of tactics - thus logistical-wise we will need at some point a lot of droids, once Jabiim is fully secured. Currently I assume that our forces are still expanding, but not too massive. This might change though hopefully. |

Updated the ship list again, sorry for the long inactivity in terms of this thread. Included so far everything except for the MC35 Fast Frigate, as history-wise it's linked as a Corellian design, nothing where I know if our faction would have direct access to (as it is the case for the MC Atlas cruiser in the ship database). Would ask Marcus Starmane [RETIRED] and Graemon Gorgano therefore on permission, if it could be included, however I don't insist on it + think that the Dominion is doing fine ship-wise. Might also mention that I won't hold a monopol over MC- and Quarren ship designs just because our faction holds the Mon Calamari Shipyards and mainly produces stuff for them. Stuff like the Recusants, Providence and a lot of the MC-cruisers are iconic to other factions as well, so of course this list won't indicate that I lay hold on these ship designs permanently - the list is mainly there to show what ships the Quarren Dominion will most likely feature within fleets/NPC fleets. Of course some ships like our custom fighters, the Dominion Dreadnaught and the Neebray Star Cruiser are more faction-specific, but like on other factions agreements can be reached if non-faction-people want to include them into their personal fleets (I honestly don't mind it too much, would just be cool if I get informed), but the canon Mon Calamari and Quarren ships like the Home One and others are still free available in the galaxy. Just to make that clear, in case questions come up, as I neither think that it is in my power as a faction leader to have a monopol on ships (and I neither want one), just because a darkside faction has laid hold on Mon Calamari once more. It's likely to think of it, when considering that the Dominion's main goal is to fight anything, that opposes the Way of the Dark, but from an OOC perspective it's not promising at all, that's why I should clarify it as well. IC we might be monsters, OOC it is important for me to keep our activities balanced and fair to everyone within the playerbase. |
