Built and owned by Corellian Engineering Corporation, the Santhe Shipyards is the major hub of shipbuilding on Corellia. Located on the outskirts of the Coalition District, it is certainly an interesting complex considering it has both a land-based and orbital facility. The land-based facilities are mostly concerned with the production of smaller vessels and frigates, both for civilian and military usage. The orbital facility, which is far larger than the ground-based sister, is used for the construction of larger vessels, around the size of Star Destroyers and bigger.

With the formation of the Coalition, the Santhe Shipyards had the honor of seeing many new models being produced as a result of the union. With the arrival of the support from the Union of Fondor, Tapani warships were soon being produced for the Coalition Navy. Following them came Hapan Consortium vessels, Mon Calamaran and more. However, today was a rather special day as a new Mon Calamari Star Cruiser, the first of its kind, was being launched from its orbital dockyards. Codenamed the MC95, in addition to another carrier model, the MC95c, the star cruiser was built to be the size of Imperial Star Destroyers and still be able to hold their firepower advantage or be equal in it that other cruisers, of the Mon Calamari design, tended to have.
The first MC95 Star Cruiser was built for Baron Graemon Gorgano, who was re-purposing his entire fleet due to a skirmish with Imperials over Froz. With Prime Minister Starmane planning further operations to extend the Coalition, the arrival of the MC95 to the frontlines was a boon to the Coalition Navy. The first one produced was named Ackbar, after the hero of the Rebel Alliance and the New Republic of generations ago. It was to serve as the new flagship of the Coalition Third Fleet alongside an array of newly produced ships that would make up its formation.

The taxi ferried Soraya through the Coalition District, it destination for the outer edges where the shipyards were present. There had been no point in driving herself as she didn't want her speeder left behind somewhere she'd have to come fetch it later. So, summoning a taxi was the best option. As the rip went, Soraya continued to get lost in her thoughts of what was to come. It was what she trained for, but was anyone ever truly ready to set foot in real combat?
The trip seemed to go by in a flash as she lost track of time. The driver alerted her to their arrival in which she sat up and looked out the windows. It was a grand sight, seeing frames of ships being built as well as some of the ground defense units. Taking hold of her bag, she exited the cab and paid for her ride before looking back at the complex. It would have been easy to get lost if it wasn't for the datapad the General had given to her. It had laid out most of what she needed to know, including exactly where she was to meet up within the shipyards.
Making her way through the area, she had to ask for directions once, informing the worker of who she was and why she was here, to which he gladly pointed her in the right direction. Only a few minutes of walking before she came to the meeting ground. Rounding a corner, she was met by the sight of two, newly built Raider-class Corvettes. By what she read, these were originally and Imperial design, but the Coalition got hold of the plans and made some alterations to fit into its standards. They were an impressive sight and solid craft for a patrol unit.
As she got closer, she caught a glimpse of Aurin, who noticed and waved her over.
"Well, you finally made it. Just in time. It looks like everyone's being gathered up."
He had wasted no time in speaking the moment she was within earshot, which was honestly good since no sooner than she reached him, she noticed everyone in the area begin to gather. A little ways ahead of her was a small platform in which three people stood. One man moved to the front and lifted his hands and everyone go quiet. The second things were silent enough, she heard his booming voice.
"I am Captain Tyron Ra, commander of the Allegiant and leader of the Froz Patrol Unit. We want to thank you all for being here in such a timely manner. We have been given a very important task as you all well know. I'm sure that some of you think that being assigned, or in some cases, reassigned, to this detail is a low mark on your record, that your skills should have you serving in more distinguished roles. I can understand your feelings on the matter, but let me assure you, despite this being a patrol unit, our duty is gravely important. After a recent skirmish with the First Order over Froz, it has been decided that a garrison will be built there along with other listening posts to watch over the system. We are to watch the outer edges of the system while this is happening to help keep construction unhindered by the likes of pirates as well as the First Order. That's right, we are not just there to watch out for pirates, but to serve as a forward guard in case the First Order decides it wasn't to return at that time. It is because of this we have pulled from different areas some of the best the Coalition has to offer. So in all of this, stay vigilant for you never know when we may have to face the likes of our enemy. Silence fell over the crowd as he let his words sink in. He wanted to make sure everyone realized what this was truly about and why skilled pilots and officers were gathered up for what seemed like a task for lower ranks individuals. "All of you have been given your assignments. Those meant to serve upon the Allegiant, move towards the left-most ship. Those meant to serve under Commander Tessa Erso on the Ardent, meet in front of the right ship. Those serving in the fighter squadron under Captain Charon Victus, stay here. That is all. Dismissed."
Soraya and Aurin waited as everyone began to clear out and make their way to their designated ships. Once they had the room to move forward, they approached the platform where seven others were waiting with their captain standing on the platform overlooking them.
"Alright, you guys. I'm Charon Victus. I'm in charge of Garuda Squadron. You are all here because you've proven yourselves to have solid skills behind the controls of a starfighter. As Captain Ra just said, this is an important mission, so that's why you were drafted into this group." He then hopped down off the platform and began to pace in front of them. "While we will more often than not just patrol the area and deal with simple pirates and smugglers, I don't want any slacking off. You represent the Coalition, the Froz Patrol Unit, and me. So I won't tolerate lazy and careless flying or people trying to show off. Doing so will have you grounded faster than you can blink. Do you understand that? Good. We work together, as a team, and you take your orders from me. And we fly as if we are one of the elites. Now, you have all been given a datapad explaining the detail. In it, you should have already looked over the craft we will be flying: the Clone Z-95 Headhunters. While not the most spectacular craft the Coalition has to offer, they are still capable fighters and the most relevant version of its line. It may not have the power of an X-wing, but it can keep up and maneuver with the best, especially in the hands of a good pilot. Now pay attention as I go over your position and assignments."
Soraya listened intently as their captain spoke, laying out the law and what he expected of them. Each word helped her grow more confident in knowing they weren't being looked down upon in this detail. One by one, positions and assignments were laid out. She noticed that Aurin received the position of Garuda Three and was placed upon the Allegiant. Then, he got to her. Ears alert, she heard her position as Garuda Six and was placed on the Ardent. With their orders given, they were dismissed to their respective ships. The gatherings for the other groups were already wrapping up as they all loaded up.
She wasted no time in finding her designated chamber, one shared with the other three members of the squadron. As the ships were cleared for launch, the team went of their bunk assignments and she put her things away. Onc they were all done and in hyperspace, they'd head to the hangar to check out their ships.

A number of pilots from across the Coalitions starfighter corps had been gathered back to Corellia to the orbital portion of the Santhe Shipyards. The group, including @soraya, where seated in a large room, on one side a large blacked out window was situation, with a small raised platform in front of it. Briefing seats had been set up for the pilots to make use of. The doors had remained closed since they had arrived, but they did not remain that way. One set of doors to the right of the stage opened, allowing Marcus Starmane to come striding into the room at something of a brisk pace. Though somewhat slower than others due to his cane he rested some of his weight on. A couple high ranking officials from the Army, Navy, and Starfighter corps filed in behind him and stood off to the side as Marcus came to a stop in the middle of the platform I want to start off by thanking you all for coming today. You have all had an outstanding service to the Coalition. And I do hope that you all will have many more years... Now, I hope you all read your orders and understand the top secret nature of the briefing you are about to receive... As such, C-sec will be monitoring your communications from here on out to ensure the continued secrecy of this project. Is that understood? He paused for a moment, his gaze sweeping across the crowd to let anyone make an objection known. His attention resting in Soraya's general area Good... As of today, you are all being read in on the Delta Initiative. A project that our engineers have been working on in secret for some time now. And the first wave is now ready to be launched... tell me, Lieutenant Reyes, what are some of the drawbacks of bomber craft these days?

It had been a week since Soraya had returned to Corellia. A surprise to be sure as she hadn't expected to be back for a long time. Since everything had finally gotten setup of Froz, the patrol unit was no longer needed. As such, the entire team was disbanded and reassigned to new fleets and locations. She, however, had received orders that she was to returned Corellia. Along with it came a promotion to Lieutenant. More and more surprises came when further orders directed her the shipyards.
Soraya sat in her seat, simply waiting with a thriving curiosity. What was she doing here and what was her assignment. Not much had been made clear other than the fact she was to take part in a top-secret operation, one that hadn't been disclosed for obvious reasons. This made her nervous, mostly in light of the fact that she had only graduated from the academy months before. So what about her made her worth bringing into this instead of other skilled pilots with years more experience? She couldn't help but smirk upon the realization these were nearly the same questions she asked when she was chosen to take part in the patrol unit. The answers she sought would come and if not, she would follow the orders given to her.
It wasn't terribly long since her arrival that the doors opened to reveal the leader of the Coalition, Marcus Starmane, coming in with high ranking officers of the different branches. She certainly wasn't expecting him here, which only furthered her curiosity. There was silence as he spoke, even when he paused to see if anyone had questions or objections to the nature of the project and that they would be monitored. Why would any of them question it? To be selected for such a mission was an honor, one none would refute. It was a chance to serve the Coalition in an important way.
The surprise was only furthered when out of everyone, she was called on to answer the question presented by Marcus. Forcing her surprise to the back of her mind, she answered confidently. "Bombers, while able to unleash heavy payloads capable of devastating even larger capital ships and possessing armor and shields to withstand some punishment, the lack of speed and maneuverability. This usually always requires them to have escorts to ensure they stay alive to drop their payload and even then, in their retreat, they are much easier to take out, despite the heavier armor."

Marcus smiled, gently tapping his walking stick upon the ground with approval. Marcus had personally vetted and reviewed all of the candidates for the Delta Initiative. From training academy scores, to mission reports and interviews with superior officers and colleagues. the whole nine yards and not an expense was spared in doing it. Soraya had caught his eye during the process. The daughter of a former ace pilot, with grades placing her at the top of her class. He gave a nod as she finished her assessment That is correct Lieutenant Reyes. They are slow moving bricks, which make them prime targets for enemy starfighters and point defences. We have lost good people trying to take down targets in the past, while heaving to hit a target or after their payload had been delivered. Our enemies can see us coming from miles away... But what if I told you that was all about to change? Bombers, by their very nature, will always be slow and difficult to maneuver. But what if that didn't matter? What if the enemy couldn't see you? He moved to the side then, as the opaque window behind him slowly faded and became transparent. Offering the pilots in the room their first look at the Delta-wing Starfighters that sat in the adjacent hangar bay Allow me to introduce the SB-7 Delta-Wing Starfighter. A stygium crystal powered Stealth Bomber. Each craft is capable of holding a vast array of ordinances and can be customized for each mission. There are twelve Delta-wing's currently completed and ready for service. One pilot and one bomber each. You'll share duties preparing the ship and in each position. For the next several months, they will become your home aboard the first run Dorn-class Fast Carrier. A pair of support fighter squadrons will be assigned with you. But only those pilots here today, will be flying the Delta's... Any questions?

As Marcus went on proposing the questions about the flaws of a bomber not mattering, even more, not being seen. Her eyes focused as she processed the question, trying to understand it. What was he trying to suggest?
The answer came quickly enough, though, as the Delta became viewable in the hangar just beyond them. From where they sat, it was hard to fully tell much about the craft other than it was fairly large in length and width. Her attention only laid upon its frame for a moment or two before shifting to Marcus as he began to speak again. A cloaking device was the answer? It seemed simple enough and the idea of it seemed devastating for the enemy on the battlefield. He continued on discussing that each of the existing twelve bombers had two for a crew, in which they pair which occasionally switch positions from time to time.
It was an overwhelming feeling to know that she had been chosen among so many to be the first to pilot a new fighter as well as to have it carried on a brand new carrier. She beamed inwardly knowing that it would have made her mother proud. When he offered the chance for questions, none came at the moment. She wanted to wait and see what was all disclosed before she asked questions she was about to receive answers for.

When no questions were asked at that time, Marcus continued on. Motioning for a Selonian Female to come up onto the platform. She was dressed in a Coalition Naval Uniform with a Captain's insignia on the left side of her chestCaptain Osira Lendix here will be commanding the Dorn-class Fast Carrier and your superior officer in all matters. Meanwhile, Commander Io Dreytila will be leading the Delta Squadron. We will be pulling in pilots and squadrons from across the Coalition to provide support fighters as well. But you all are the first to be read in on this Initiative, and will be provided detailed tactical and mechanical information. Your support squadrons will be provided with need to know details while we conduct these initial operations. Understood? Good. One final thing... Due to the specialized nature of the Delta Initiative, your task force will be assigned to a larger fleet. As such, Rear-Admiral Eain Erso [RETIRED] has the privilege of hosting you with the 8th Fleet... Elsewhere in the shipyards, workers for the Santhe Shipyards were busy beginning construction on 5 new vessels for the Coalition Navy: a pair of MC85 Star Cruiser's (Coalition Refit) and a trio of MC-C (MC-100) Atlas-Class Battlecruiser's. The original MC85 design had faced some armament issues, which the designers at the Santhe Shipyards had quickly rectified by adding additional weapons. Meanwhile the MC-100 was the Coalitions answer to the First Orders Resurgent-class Battlecruiser. Both were powerful ships in their own right and would provide the Coalition with much needed firepower in its fight against tyranny and protecting its borders from invasion

Eain strolled in from the side door that Marcus had previously entered through. He was dressed in his Naval Officer's uniform, bearing the markings of the Coalition, his rank as a Rear-Admiral, and the insignia of the Coalition's 8th Fleet. Each one gave him pride in the work he had done and was doing for the Coalition. And today was another step forward in his career as he walked up onto the platform stage and gave a nod to the Prime Minister, before offering a shallow bow to the gathered Pilots of the Delta Initiative It's an honor to meet you all... I look forward to hosting some of the Coalitions best pilots within my fleet...

Soraya continued listening as Marcus reiterated that they were the first to pilot the new Deltas, to test them and provide the required feedback to improve them if necessary. Soon, they would be provided with all the knowledge pertaining to the new bomber, something she was eager to see. Even with the war against the First Order, the birth of a brand new ship wasn't a common occurrence, much less being involved with the beginning stages. She couldn't wait to finally get the bird in the air and put her through her paces.
The introductions came, the commander of the Dorn-class Fast Carrier that would be hauling them as well as the pilot who would be leading the fighter squadron. That was all fine and dandy, but what she had;t expected that even then, they would be going up with a larger fleet. She hadn't expected to be finally going up with a major fleet yet, not that she had been expecting the day at all. So much was happening all at once that if not for her training to keep cool under pressure, she may have fainted.

Marcus gave a nod to Eain, after the man said his piece. With a motion of his hand, the doors leading from the briefing room through to the hangar bay opened. Engineers started milling about the space, doing checks on the ships while a woman appeared by the door out of the conference room. A small pile of datapads were then loaded onto a table I think that covers the important details... Miss Asto over there will be providing you with secure datapads that contain the details of the ships. Any attempt to tamper with them will wipe the data, so please don't try. Make your way out into the hangar bay, there Captain Lendix will provide you with your ship assignments. The Engineers that helped design and build these ships will be on hand for any questions that you may have that the datapad does not answer... May the Force be with you all... Marcus gave a quick salute, before making his way off the stage and back through the way he came in. With all but the Rear-Admiral following the Prime Minister out of the room. Marcus used several back corridors to get to an observation deck then. There he could check in on the progress of the new ships being constructed for the Coalition.
Meanwhile, back in the briefing room, the female human stood ready and waiting, handing out datapads as the pilots rose from their seats and headed through to the hangar bay where the pilots could check out their ships

Soraya watched as the doors opened and Marcus took his leave. She waited for a moment until some of the others gathered began getting before doing so herself and headed out the door, taking the data pad that was handed to her.
Immediately, she began shifting through the files, wanting to know all she could about it. It was a rather large model both long and wide, making her wonder just how many they could effectively carry at any one time. The answer revealed a bit of itself when she saw it had foldable wings. A smart design choice considering. It was equipped with four lasers, a pair in the front of the craft with a single heavy variant on each wingtip. The bomb bay was also modular capable of using proton bombs, proton torpedoes, and concussions missiles, each a heavy amount. Most certainly a dangerous payload against any target. And with the the aid of the cloaking devices, she almost doubted this vessel could fail in its task.
Glancing back and forth between the data pad and her path, she moved with the others, waiting for the next part of the gathering.

With Marcus gone, Eain was now left in charge of the remaining presentation. Thankfully Captain Lendix and Commander Dreytila had been briefed on the same information though, and would be handling ship assignments. Giving Eain a chance to remain out of the way and observe the new pilots as they were filed out into the hangar bay. Eain followed the last pilot out into the bay, where engineers were already busily explaining information to various groups.
Once some time had passed, Captain Lendix gathered the pilots back together in a group, Commander Dreytila appeared at her side with a data pad in hand. His gaze going over the list of names once more Alright, Commander Dreytila is going to read out your ship assignments. Once he does, pair off and find your Delta. An engineer will go over the start up and take off procedure and how to activate the stealth systems. Today you will get your first flight in the Delta's out to the Shadow of Corellia, which will be your home for the next couple months. You'll be provided a few moments to work out the controls before take off, so use your time wisely. The list will be read as pilot first, then bombardier. Commander... Dreytila gave a nod and looked out toward the group of pilots as Captain Lendix took a step back Alright, listen up closely everyone. These assignments were generated based on flight reviews and abilities. But keep in mind that these rosters will rotate... First up in Delta-One, will be myself and Major Stanza Knesos. Delta-Two will be Captain Dermot Proga and Lieutenant Nara Bona. Delta-Three will be Captain Braganti Corr and Captain Skye Santorini. Delta-Four is Lieutenant Aleane Daggoth and Lieutenant Julan Turnell. Delta-Five will be Lieutenant Soraya Reyes and Captain Nalah Saul. Delta-Six is Lieutenant Tara Hollinger and Lieutenant Victor Yissik... Commander Dreytila continued on down the list, until all of the assignments had been read out, the pilots already starting to split off and move to their ships. Eain, meanwhile, remained watching from afar. Wondering just how some of the assignments would be greeted. Most seemed to be simple acknowledgement. But one of them he was not sure about. Of all the people among the group, Nalah was the only pilot that had previously worked with Eain. And he was confident that despite her senior rank, she would not argue against the assignment of Lieutenant Reyes as the initial pilot for Delta-Six. It just now remained to be seen how the Lieutenant would react

Taking a few minutes to continue looking over the datapad they were given, Soraya found herself next on one of the bombers and began to look it over. It wasn't too long before they were summoned. Falling in line, she waited as the two leaders spoke. The first flight was to be happening within the next few minutes as they stored them aboard the new Dorn-class Fast Carrier. As Captain Lendix finished, their squad leader stepped up and began running down assignments. She listened carefully to the pairs, her breath catching a bit as she heard her name and who she was pair with. She wasn't the only one that had been paired with a higher ranking member. What was different, however, was the fact that she was the only one that would be piloting before the higher-ranked officer. It was the orders given, but hopefully, it wouldn't cause a problem between her and her partner.
With the assignments given, Soraya broke away with the others as they all worked to find their ships. It made her wonder how many of these pilots knew one another. None of the names sounded familiar outside of a couple mentioned on channels regarding their skills and bravery. Reaching her bomber, she ran a hand over it, trying to ease her mind a bit before the captain arrived. She made it around to the other side to see Nalah already standing. Immediately, Soraya snapped to attention. "Captain Saul. It is a pleasure to meet you. I look forward to being your partner."

Nalah had already completed a once over of the Delta-Wing just as the blonde haired woman known as Soraya Reyes appeared from around the bomber. A smile almost immediately spreading across her face at the speed and efficiency with which the Liuetenant snapped to attention. She gave a quick salute back, less the Lieutenant take it the wrong way At ease Lieutenant... I hope you're not planning to do that all of the time, otherwise it's going to be a very long time for us to take off on missions... I look forward to being your partner as well. You were posted with Garuda Squadron on Froz right? I heard you guys took out a pirate gang or something?

As she was instructed, Soraya stood at ease before blushing a bit nervously. She seemed to be making a fool of herself right out of the gate. Taking a deep breath, she turned her focus on to what else was said. "If you don't wish for me to do so, then I'll make this the first and the last. But yes, ma'am. I was assigned to the newly created Garuda Squadron and Froz Patrol Unit. I know some people viewed it as a downgrade, but I was just surprised that for what the Coalition had planned for the planet, they didn't choose more experienced pilots or a larger fleet."
She then nodded as she thought back on the encounter. "One of a few missions we handled while on patrol but it was certainly the biggest. A group of pirates was able to sneak past our patrol through patience and proper planning, but stealing from a supply convoy does send off some big flags pretty quick. They gave us a run, but we were able to bring them down before they got off-world.

Nalah had heard the stories, but hearing about what went down from someone that had been there was always different. She crossed her arms, and leaned against a control strut that was jutting down from the Delta's hull That's pretty impressive... Can't say I know all the details of Froz, but sometimes when you're trying not to draw a lot of attention to something, they like to assign skilled pilots... Experience is not always everything. Enough chit-chat, let's load up and get this bird off the ground... After you Reyes... Nalah motioned to the crew docking ladder for Soraya to load in first. All across the hangar bay, the other crews were beginning their own boarding processes

As Nalah gave her impression of their mission on Froz, it gave her a sense of pride that it was something that caught a more experienced and higher ranked pilot's attention. Then again, perhaps it was all small chit chat in an attempt to gauge her. Who really knew? It didn't matter. She was complimented on her old team's success and that was enough.
When Captain Saul mentioned for her to enter first, Soraya nodded and climbed the ladder inside. Taking her seat, her hands began moving about, hovering over the controls as she got a feel for everything. Quickly her mind was locking down what was where the design is mostly similar to other ships utilized by the Coalition. She could already hear her partner climbing in as she locked down the ignition and other required controls she'd need at the moment.

Once Soraya disappeared up the ladder, Nalah climbed in soon after and took the co-pilot seat, examining her own controls. It was then, that the massive hangar bay doors opened and revealed their first real sight of the Shadow of Corellia. The Dorn-class Fast Carrier's main hangar bay opening sat lined up with the opening in the shipyards. Providing the pilots with a clear shot to their destination. With a few affirmatives and checks later, Commander Dreytila came on the comm line giving everyone the greenlight to launch.
Eain remained at the edge of the hangar bay, observing the whole situation, to see just how in sync the group would be off the bat

As the Commander came over their comms, Soraya began the boot-up sequence, bringing the ship to life. One by one, the sounds of the Deltas filled the hangar. As the cockpit closed down around them, Commander Dreytila came over the comms once more for a quick check to verify that all ships were ready. Down the line, each ship verified their go for launch.
::Delta Five, ready for launch.::
The others made their call in, the final one prompting the Commander to speak once more, ordering for a V formation upon departing the hangar. Taking a deep breath, Soraya lifted their Delta off the ground with the others and began to progress forward. Having learned all the formations while in the academy, finding her place was easy as they formed up as they departed the hangar. Shortly after, more commands came through regarding speed and altitude adjustments. Following the commands and those around her, she moved her craft smoothly as she adjusted to the controls and how it handled versus some of the ships she'd had already flown. Luckily she had handled a bomber before, though had gotten used to her Z-95.
