Being more than impressed by the Emperor's speech, Jenia shed a brief tear, as her patriotic heart felt the pride within these words, as what has been accomplished so far by the First Order. During the speech she had briefly seen Neith, nodding back towards her as she passed by. Now that they both knew about eachother, the former fear of her family being not in safe hands had vanished. Overall much has happened on Prakith. Thus the position of Grand Admiral and Grand Moff at the same time seemed nearly like a blessing, which the Emperor had bestowed upon her.
She would eventually meet and greet some of the officers, who also stood among the higher ranked admirals, catching a brief look on the other Moffs as well. More than outstanding was a well-dressed, blonde woman within her marvelous dress... to some point it reminded Jenia at the good time she spend with Lucien Needa aboard the Ars Moriendi. She didn't knew who she was, only that the face was vaguely familiar... probably because she had seen her face in a briefing or two.

Standash made her way through, smiling at people. She had picked up a tonic from a server droid. She was not one to drink much as is, but never when meeting new people. She noticed a woman noticing her. Standash went through her mind remembering the dossiers. This was Grand Admiral Jenia Kasalle, Grand Moff. She was 10 years of so older than Standash. The young Moff slowly made her way closer. She didn't move to great, she didn't feel it was proper to address someone of the higher status without an invitation.

Looking over curiously, the Grand Admiral spotted the woman from more recently as she went into her direction. Apologizing herself from her talk with the other officer to whom she talked briefly, she went towards the younger woman in order to start the conversation."A nice dress and a beautiful one to be sure", she remarked, complimenting the other woman, "Definitly a jewel on this gala, although not comparable with the one of the Empress herself."

"None could ever compare."The statement did make Standash a little uneasy. She had deliberately tried to play down her attire for the night, to avoid any comparisons to the Empress. She seemed to have missed the mark a little and over dressed. She was new to dressing subtly, part of her wished she had just worn her uniform. She regained her composure and bowed her head. "It is a pleasure to meet you Grand Admiral, I am Moff Standash Thul of A... Carida"It was taking more than a little getting used to, to not say the name of her home world. Internally, Standash scolded herself.

Brock shrugs noncommittally to the older Knight as he chews more on his jerky. The emperor put out a soft announcement about my relation so I suspect most of those here already know. My guess is the vultures are just waiting to see if my status as the Emperor's bastard half brother makes me a desirable "friend" or if it means they should sneer at me and grumble. Not much I can do about that though so I suppose I will just enjoy my respite from the inevitable headache. Turning back to the other Knight in the conversation he realizes that in his own distracted state he had completely missed her addressing him when he had arrived. Sorry, I'm a bit distracted today. No as much as I'd like my armor I'm not attending as an Imperial knight and to show that I must present myself with blah blah blah blah blah. His tone shifts into annoyance at the end, clearly mocking a speech he got from the protocol officers a dozen or so times before the event. With his attention now on the other Knight he realizes she seems almost as uncomfortable as he felt. What's wrong? Still suffering from whiplash from the Emperor's punishment or just wishing you could attend as a guest rather than a guard? His tone was light and with a hint of a joke, he wasn't trying to tease her but just lighten the mood a little. He hadn't had a lot of opportunities to get to know the newer Knights since taking up the position of Steward and so he wasn't completely sure how to connect with them.

Amelia had decided to attend and was wearing her black and red ball gown as she watched and listened to the speech made by the Emperor and if she was the type to shed a tear, she would have but because of the rigid training and schooling she was put through by her grandfather, she no longer could. Amelia grabbed a drink from a sever droid and slipped on it as she walked through the crowd. She could tell just by looking at them that some people were nervous to be around such an important crowd of people. Amelia continued to make her way through the crowd until she was standing by a wall near the exit. while she enjoyed attending such events, being around this many people out of her uniform made her feel uneasy.

She regained her composure and bowed her head."It is a pleasure to meet you Grand Admiral, I am Moff Standash Thul of A... Carida"It was taking more than a little getting used to, to not say the name of her home world. Internally, Standash scolded herself. Jenia noticed that Standash wanted to say something else, but her mind ran wildly rather by the mentioning of the name than by what was changed slightly by hers in terms of wording. Standash Thul... she had somewhere heard that name, but couldn't remember where exactly. Since the meeting at High Port a lot of things have happened: the Emperor's new declarations, the organization of training her troops at Carida, her visit to Prakith, her return and her promotion, herself ordering the fleet to the occupation of Coruscant and now these announcements. Probably she had read the name somewhere else in the Imperial database when it came to known officers. "The honor is by my side as well, Mrs. Thul", she replied politely,"Considering that I was just an admiral of the fleet briefly ago, I need to get used to my new position in all honesty, though I'm glad to know the Moff of Carida now in personal. Commodore Viggo has organized training runs for our troops and officers there, while so far I read only positive results. I was unfortunately not present due to... family matters, which is why I regret, that we couldn't meet prior to the Liberation of Coruscant."
Noticing another woman from afar, wearing a dress as well, Jenia regreted silently that she had attended in her dark uniform. Then again she felt as a Grand Admiral and Grand Moff at the same time, that it was only reasonable for her to treat this office with honor, no matter the personal preference. Thus she envyed both women present to some portion, as she felt reminded of her loyality towards the Emperor and solely the Emperor.

Standash made note to read up on and be ready for Viggo."It is a different assignment, but I enjoy the challenge. The Commandant of the Academy is doing a fine job of running things. Leaves me time for my projects."Standash wasn't sure if the Admiral had been read in on her recruiting plans, so she left it at that. "May I ask an informal question Admiral? seeing as this is my first grand Imperial function?"

The Grand Admiral gave her a curious, yet benevolent look, assuming that it was something harmless. "Of course", she replied formal, "Now that we are at the festivities, I wouldn't mind it too much."

"I notice you chose your uniform for this event. Many others have as well. Would it be better in the future to follow sort? Growing up, events like this were times to dress up, but I didn't grow up in an empire." Standash did not like admitting she was unsure, more so to someone she didn't know. But it felt innocent enough a question. Asking advise wasn't always a sign of weakness either. Sometimes it can strengthen a relationship.

Somewhat weakly, Jenia smiled. It probably still felt cold for someone, who didn't knew her too well, but to some point she could relate to the young woman. When it came to these questions, she felt sometimes insecure as well. "I guess it is up to you, as it is more important what you can do for the Empire and thus the First Order, not what you wear", she replied friendly, before whispering, "I wore recently one as well, aboard the Ars Moriendi. Quite an amazing one, but it took me a lot of courage and the support of others."

"I am sorry I missed that, it would have been wonderful to see. You have the figure for it. That is something that makes me excited for the Empire. The Emperor seem interested mostly in results, and those I can provide. Standash felt that now was a good time to test the waters with a Grand Moff of her planned project "That reminds me, Admiral. Do you feel there is much difference between conscripted recruits and volunteers?

Smiling slightly flattered, Jenia Kasalle looked down before adressing the fellow moff again. She would probably never get used to open compliments, although her rank gladly protected her by now from most of them. "This is kind to hear from you, Standash - maybe at another time", she answered diplomatic before continiueing the talk with the questions asked. She pondered about it before responding. "I think both have their worth, but I prefer mostly the volunteers, as they show most times their ambitions, unlike those, who only serve as conscripts", she then said, "It is important to unite those under your banner, who have the same faith in our Emperor as we do. I prefer good morale and loyality over the masses, as one ideal can unify more man than any rebellion could ever fight."

I look forward to it. The young Moff smiled, she did enjoy this game deep down."That is what I hoped to hear from you Admiral. I am working on a plan to increase both, I hope it will have your support when it is proposed.

Benevolent she nodded, seeing the importance of this decision. The battle against the Galactic Alliance had been won, but smaller groups like the Corellian Coalition are already threatening the peace alongside the Empire's space alongside pirates and those fools within the Deep Core, who claim themselves to be Imperial, but haven't surrendered towards Emperor Delvardus rulership. Ignoring those threats could lead to the same hybris, which befell the old Galactic Empire under Tarkin. "If it benefits our military forces, you can count in my vote", she replied briefly, "We are stronger than ever before, but we can't allow ourselves to think that this peace will be upheld by public announcements and the presence of single Star Destroyers within our borders. Finding more efficient ways to maintain an expierienced army while reinforcing it constantly is thus one of our main priorities."

"While there exist any that do not bend the knee to the Emperor, there will be something more to do. My job is to convince those that are reasonable... Yours is to break those that are not. Yours is more difficult, so I look to aid where I can.

Standing quietly in a far corner of the Convocation Hall was the newly promoted Moff Drav’ale’nurodo. He was accompanied by two rather plain looking human males one, wearing formal civilian attire and the other a standard naval Lieutenant’s uniform. It was rare he made such public appearances, and consequently few would recognise him. Having been called to Coruscant in order to attend the soon to be reformed Moff Council, Valen had decided to make his trip slightly earlier in order to be present for the current festivities. Of course, such things were of no interest to him, however he did see it as an opportunity to observe first hand important figures in the First Order, and perhaps get a feel for some of them. From his distant corner, he observed the room in silence, watching who was talking to who, their body language and whatever he could pick up on. A quiet soothing voice adresses the blue-skinned alien. "It is not so common to see another alien among our ranks"And there he was, the moff badge over his chest. The face's peculiar scars looked pale under the hall's light. "I believe I have not introduced myself properly before, I am Vilim Ju'oda"The moff's manners were exquisite, every of his moves looked carefully orchestrated, like the way he arranged his cloak over the shoulder, yet it didn't seem artificial, but effortlessly elegant. He studied the Chiss, for a moment his striations pulsed, reddish.

He studied the Chiss, for a moment his striations pulsed, reddish. Moff Ju’oda. A man nearly as secretive and enigmatic as Valen, perhaps even more so. People at least knew the Intelligence officer’s species, but not even the well informed Chiss had any clue as this mans species. “Indeed. There are few of us non-humans who serve, particularly at our level. It is a pleasure to meet you, Moff Ju’oda,” Valen replied politely extending his hand to shake, ”I am Drav’ale’nuruodo, but you may call me Valen.”He noticed Ju’oda’s strange striations pulsing as he seemed to being assessing him. “How is Brentaal faring? I hear it’s economy has been booming, a credit to your skilled stewardship, no doubt.” The Chiss chose his words carefully, demonstrating that he was well informed while offering a compliment. Ju’odoa was more than a simple planetary administrator, and could perhaps be a valuable ally. However, the intelligence officer was skeptical of the Moff’s ties to corporations and history of aligning with whichever government or faction seemed favourable at the time. Of course, this was hardly a barrier to a mutually beneficial relationship, Valen simply aimed to understand those who could be potential powerful figures in the galaxy, and he knew understanding Ju’oda would be unlikely.

"Drav'ale'nuruodo... my pleasure"
He pronounced the name with ease. The moff then switches to Sy Bisti.
"One does not meet a son of the Ascendancy that often, moff, least so with your rank"
The handshake was firm, albeit distant.
"I thank you, but the bureaucracy is a well-oiled machine at Brentaal, I simply am at its helm"
The moff replied, faking hummility with success, however the underlying message was of total agreement with the Chiss' statement.
"But, indeed, the prosperity of the system has increased tenfold in the last few years"
The marks pulsate in red for a second, likely a burst of adrenaline, a hint of pride?
"I believe, Drav'ale-nuruodo, that you have been very recently promoted to deputy director, I must say that is a very remarkable achievement. And intelligence is always the most valuable asset"
He tilts his head slightly. When treating with an ISB agent, no matter the rank, it was better to stroke their ego.

He tilts his head slightly. When treating with an ISB agent, no matter the rank, it was better to stroke their ego. “Impressive. There are few who can pronounce Chiss names so well, fewer still who speak Sy Bisti with such ease,” Valen replied in Sy Bisti. He had never understood why people viewed mastery of language as so impressive. Nevertheless people, particularly those with status, generally respond well to complements which Valen was happy to provide, regardless of how little he may have meant it.
”Almost,” he said with a polite smile, ”I was recently promoted to Moff of Dubrillion. I have had the privilege of serving as a Deputy Director for some time. Outlasted Directors themselves even,” he said referring to some of Director Piett’s short lived predecessors. “I have had the benefit of building on existing work. You, however, have done well to transform Brentaal. I’m sure the bureaucracy is efficient, but I doubt they could have made the progress you have without you,” he said ensuring her returned to complements and flattery so as to avoid potentially bruising the Moff’s ego after correcting him.
