The chambers of the Emperor is said to be the most quiet and tranquil of locations within the palace. It is here that the Emperor, and the royal family, reside. State-of-the-art security is installed as well as a strong guard of soldiers garrison this level. A personal library, study, dozens of bedrooms, and more complete the labyrinth of corridors. Sometimes, the Emperor takes audiences, especially those of great importance, on this level, but only out of necessity. All below know that when the Emperor retires here, it is best to leave him alone.

Fiora stepped out on to the small balcony that was attached to her room. It was well past her bed time, but she did not care as she approached the protective railing. Her head barely came up to the top of the barrier, and so she dragged a chair closer. Hopping up into it in a kneeling position allowed Fiora to lean her elbows against the metallic surface and gaze out upon the city-scape of Coruscant at night. Buildings rose up like giants all around the Palace, but none matched it in height and prominence. This gave the young girl a brilliant view of everything that surrounded her and the lights that shone throughout the night.
It allowed her to take her mind off the dreams - or perhaps more accurately, the nightmares - that had haunted her sleep. Although she wasn't sure if dreams were even an accurate descriptor for them. She wasn't sure when they had started, but for as long as she could remember things, she had been having these dreams. They were filled with people and events that sometimes seemed to come to pass and others that did not. She had never told anyone about them for fear of what it might mean.
Despite efforts otherwise, she had learned that her Mother had been known to be able to see the future. It was an ability that Fiora was starting to believe she had inherited as she kneeled there gazing out at the night sky. She just wasn't sure whether she wanted it or not. Seeing what was about to happen was not always fun, especially when it involved people being hurt. Those were some of the worst dreams she had. She sat back down into the chair and pulled her knees in close, hugging herself as she remembered one dream. It happened several weeks ago. In it, she had watched three men fighting against a dark shadow in some large throne room. One she recognized as an Imperial Knight based on his armour, another she recognized as Harnan Ren. The third had remained a mystery. But she watched as they fought and eventually killed the shadow, but not without cost.
She remembered feeling the pain of the blade piercing Harnan's chest. It was a pain beyond anything she could describe and she had woken up clutching her chest in tears. When Faina had come to comfort her and find out what was wrong, Fiora had lied. She could sense the new Empress, her new step-mom, cared and loved her. But she could also sense the fear that the woman had of what was to come soon. Fiora had seen that in her dreams as well. Faina had begged her father not to let Fiora go to the Ren, fearing that the darkside would destroy her. That was why she had passed it off as a bad dream, so that she would not cause Faina to worry more than she already did.
She rested her chin upon her knees as she lifted her gaze up to the sky. Despite her step-moms greatest wish being that Fiora should also train with the Imperial Knights like Octavian, Fiora knew deep down that they would never be enough. It's not that she thought little of the Imperial Knights, but she knew they viewed the Force as merely a tool, another weapon in their arsenal. But she was far more intrinsically linked with the Force. It was not just some tool for her. It was a part of her, for better or worse. A fact that her dreams had told her Harnan would understand better than most. Her fate and his were intrinsically intertwined and the day was fast approaching when he would come for her. Perhaps he might be able to help her quieten the dreams and make them go away.
No matter the case, only time would tell. For now, she sat there curled up on the chair as she tried to forget the dream she had just had. Hoping that sleep might soon return.

Dread Lord HavokA journey to the upper echelons of the Imperial Palace brought the Emperor, his guest, Havok, and others to the place where Palpatine had claimed as his home, his sanctuary. It had been refurbished since those times, and since the days that the Republic Chancellor had reigned over Coruscant. Stormtroopers patrolled the area regularly with a small garrison of elites from the Imperial Guard stationed here. A pair salute their emperor quietly before continuing on their patrol. Several Imperial Knights also walked in the corridor that seemed rather... spartan. There wasn't excessive decor, but enough to give it a feeling of being lived in.
The Emperor takes the party to an office just to the left where Havok and Malice were welcomed in. Nicademus takes a seat behind the desk, with Brock Ferrum to his left and Baltasar Delvardus to his right. With that done, the Imperial gestures to Havok.Speak of your suggestion, Lord Havok. And I will see if it is worthy.

Commander Malice Stood at attention in front of the Emperor's desk, with Havok beside him. Ever the professional, Malice would be silent until spoken to.
Havok seem distracted for a moment before he began speaking. Havok wanted to touch things: the walls, the floors. There was power here, in these chambers inhabited by Palpatine. Time had not dimmed nor erased the mark in the force. Here in these hallowed halls, Havok felt the echoes through the force. The complex plots. The subtle maneuverings. The insidious evil. The malevolent genius. They all left their mark in this place.
"Emperor, I apologize for my theatrics in the throne room." He cleared his throat. "I would like to suggest forming a secretive organization under the oversight of the Imperial Intelligence. The Specialis Secretus Executum or SSE. It would be a paramilitary branch of Imperial Intelligence that would operate independently but also support the II's operations. As it's leader, I would answer only to You and the Director of Imperial Intelligence." The sith lord continued: "The SSE would be smaller in membership, more secretive, and draw from the elite ranks of II personnel."
The dark sider began to pace as he spoke. "The SSE would have a three fold mission. The first mission is to delve the mysteries of the force, to use the power of the dark side to enhance our vision and augment the abilities of our operatives. As you wisely quoted earlier, the dark side is a path to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. Nature shall not limit our capabilities." The Seer pounded his fist in his hand.
"The second mission is to operate as an unseen offense against the enemies of the Empire; to be the shadow beneath the banner of the Empire. A poison pill to slip to groups that seek the Empire's ruin, both inside and outside the Empire. The mission includes espionage, sabotage, assassination and unconventional weapons and warfare employed with surgical precision."
The seer stopped pacing and faced the emperor once again. "The final mission...; I will tell you frankly, my abilities may drain my life force and cause my body to prematurely degenerate. I swore I would serve "as long as this mortal frame does not quit me." The Empire therefore has a vested interest in my long life. I intend my life to be... unnaturally long." Havok emphasized "unnaturally."
"In order to achieve those missions, the SSE would employ elite agents and force-sensitive operatives, in field operations and enhanced interrogation, and use paramilitary forces and black operations forces. The SSE would also have a research and development support capability to produce innovative weapons, including unconventional and force-based resources and warfare. The SSE would have some limited internal manufacturing capabilities to ensure end-to-end research-to-manufacture operational security."
"What say you, Emperor?"

The Emperor listened attentively to what was being proposed. A sub-organization, essentially, to the Imperial Intelligence that utilized assets close to that of the Inquisition. However, it was more like a secret police given its 'broad' picture. It would serve a purpose to Havok, learning the mysteries of the Dark Side, but it also served as the gaze that could be seen everywhere. It was a twin to the Imperial Intelligence.=Baltasar= Brother, you are certain of listening to this? It almost seems like he is trying to replace Director Piett's position. The Grand Marshal voiced his concerns. Nicademus raises his hand. His desire seems to enhance the what is the duty of the Imperial Intelligence. The Emperor responds, glancing at his brother. The Empire is vast. We will need greater means in order to ensure her protection... one day, we may be without Director Piett and the Empire will mourn the loss of my efficient and loyal spymaster. I, or Octavian, will have lost a most talented individual.Merrik Piett was among the greatest of his subordinates. A man truly dedicated to the cause and the Empire itself, unlike his predecessor. However, the Grand Marshal was right, this could be seen as a slight against the Intelligence Director. Nicademus would not want that.
He turns slightly and keys a comlink on the desk. After a moment, the voice of a secretary was heard.Have Director Piett meet me in my suite. He will want to hear about an important matter. The secretary confirms and the communication ends. Nicademus then looks up at Havok.Let's see what my Director has to say about this.

Continued from the Landing Pad
Fiora's missing presence had become known through the bio-metric scanners, placed within each room. After some time, the bed would be in a colder state without the presence of a warm body. At first, Palace Security wasn't sure if the scanner was malfunctioning so the Imperial Guard was called in to check. They found the room vacant and the Princess missing. The Emperor was awoken from his sleep and made light of what had happened. Orders were soon being sent out to the Imperial Guard and Palace Security as teams went throughout the grounds of the palace. Furthermore, Intelligence agents and Stormtroopers were also deployed into the city to begin their search for the Princess Fiora.
Some hours would pass as the Emperor sat in his office, wondering where his daughter was. Faina even came to comfort her husband. Octavian, however, acted... odd. He knew that, times like this, were when his father was anxious. Nicademus was known as a loving and caring father after all. Him and his twin sister were the future of the Empire, a nation he had built. And they were his only children. Octavian was a bit more calm and, at one point, even looked at the city and said 'she will be home' before going back to bed. The bond of twin siblings, especially Force sensitive ones, was likely what made the Crown Prince calm. He knew she was alright, an advantage he had.
Eventually, the words became truth when Palace Security reported that Neith Ren had returned with the Princess and an additional person. Before her entry, Jin Song went through a quick bio scan for documentation before being allowed further entry with the Princess and the Ren. The Grand Marshal led the trio to the upper levels and into the Imperial Suite. Nicademus was waiting there in the lobby with a few Imperial Knights and his wife present. There were no words spoken. Nicademus simply walked up to his daughter and gave Fiora a hug, a rare moment of fatherly compassion, given that the Imperial was known for his spartan discipline. Then a palm was brought and smacked on her forehead. The Emperor still had to be a father and well deserved thwack on the head would be enough.
These night hours are hardly a time to go out, Fiora!
The scolding began as Nicademus let loose his fatherly fury.
You may your mother's daughter, but you aren't ready for what's out there yet. But that is why you will be sent to Prakith, for your full education, soon.
Fiora and Octavian weren't cloistered children, like other royals would do to their offspring. They weren't kept away from the public for their own safety, they weren't spoiled or anything like that. Nicademus just knew their potential was still raw. Even their grasp of the Force was undisciplined. He knew that, if they got into bad situations, they would run the risk of being harmed. Coruscant may have been liberated from criminal elements, that ruled its streets, but it wasn't one hundred percent safe. It would never be.
The Emperor's gaze then looked at Neith Ren then down at the other female, Jin Song. By her appearance, she was obvious from the streets... however, was it the Surface or Underworld. Nicademus turned to Fiora, looking at his daughter, who had shown a trait inherited by her mother this night.
Where exactly did you wander off to, Fiora?

Jin followed quietly from the platform. She didn't want to give these trigger-happy bucketheads another reason to draw on her. Reluctantly she submitted to the bio-scan but only murmured something about A bit much isn' it? but only to herself and not really meant for others to hear. In fact, the less she felt noticed, the better. But being a complete stranger and a face with several bandages and wounds on it, that wasn't much of an option. But soon it dawned on her what was about to happen. With every step her heat pounded a little harder, her breaths became faster, and those same steps became heavier. She was going to come face-to-face with the Emperor. Oh the things she would have to resist blurting out. But she would have to. If not for her own safety, then for Fiora. The poor girl didn't have other friends from the sound of it, and Jin would be damned if she got herself killed because of her smart mouth. Time began to act very oddly for Jin when she stepped into the room where she saw the Emperor, his wife, and Imperial Knights. Things seemed both slower and faster. Every time anyone looked at her time seemed to stop, but the moments she wasn't being directly scrutinized were over faster than she could appreciate them. She wanted to say so much, she wanted to tell the Emperor what she thought of his Empire and a creative method of storing it on his person. But she bit her tongue, literally. Then came the moment the Emperor bopped Fiora on the head. Jin started to move foreword instinctively. The memories of this morning still fresh in her mind, she didn't even consider the fact that he was Fiora's father or anything, she just wanted to protect the girl. Jin stopped herself before taking an actual step, but wasn't able to hide the dirty look she was giving him now. The teenager saw the Emperor then begin to look her over, trying to judge what kind of person she was by how she looked. Jin started to get a little hot in this loaned jacket.

Neith had followed along silent, her focus no longer upon the safety of Princess Fiora but now upon that of Jin. There was some clear link between the two girls that had been forged by what ever time the two had spent together. While weak now, such a bond could grow stronger, if given time. Something they would be denied if Palace Security decided to imprison the girl or the stormtroopers got itchy trigger fingers. Thankfully Jin seemed to also be trying to be on her best behaviour. She placed her hand lightly upon Jin's shoulder, sensing the disturbance in the Force caused by the teen's shifting mood and desire to be anywhere but here. She whispered her next words, hoping to not attract too much attention Steady...

Elayne had not slept at all over the night, having spent every hour since discovering the empty chair combing the palace for any sign of the Princess. But once the alarm had been raised, she had been detained for several hours and questioned relentlessly. Her fellow Imperial Knights had been thorough, trying to figure out if Elayne knew anything about the disappearance of the Princess, if she had assisted in the matter, if she had perhaps assassinated Princess Fiora. The whole nine yards. It had been gruelling and mentally taxing, but somehow Elayne had managed to pull herself through it all. They'd only released her upon hearing the news that Neith Ren had arrived back to the Palace bearing the Princess.
She stood now amongst the Imperial Knights, her golden armour standing in contrast to their deep crimson hues. Two of her fellow Knights were actively keeping guard of her. No doubt prepared to deliver what ever justice might need be carried out upon her at the Emperor's orders
Fiora had shuffled along behind her Uncle, but remaining at Jin's side, not wanting to be too far from her friend. But as they drew closer and closer to the Emperor's private suite, Fiora moved away from Jin. At the very least, it seemed as if Neith was going to watch over Jin while Fiora faced her father. A man whom appeared to have been waiting in the lobby, with a crowd of people gathered. She glanced around the room, noting Elayne's presence. At the very least indicating that the Imperial Knight had not been punished to severely yet for her disappearance. Then there were the Imperial Knights and her step-mom. She quickly diverted her gaze from ever meeting Faina's. Then, finally, there was her father.
She wrapped her arms around the man as he came forward and hugged her. One didn't have to be a Force User to see that he had been stressed and worried about her. The signs were all over his face. But before she could fall too far into comfort, he pulled back from her and she felt a pang of pain shoot through her forehead as his hand bopped her. She brought both of her hands up to hold the new sore spot that she had acquired. She wanted to cry and smile all at the same time, glad to be back safely with her family, but also for seeing the way her Father was acting Owie! I know... It's just that... I had to go... I didn't mean to worry you. I-I know I need more training... But even if she needed training, her powers were already beginning to develop strongly. She also knew that it would be much sooner than later that Lord Harnan would arrive to take her away for training on Prakith. Information she had not let anyone else know yet. She then followed her Father's gaze as it moved to Neith and Jin. Her hands falling to her side as she looked at her friend. Fiora turned back to look at her Father as he asked the question she had been dreading having to answer since boarding Neith's ship W-well... uhhh... you see. I-I... well... I got on a transport and... It wasn't too far... Well, I mean... It's Coruscant and everything is really far I guess... The planet is so big... Her face started to turn a shade of red in embarrassment, already feeling her Father's gaze hardening upon her as she tried to dance around the story I ended up in the underworld... B-but it's fine! Ca-cause I'm back now... J-Jin... uhh... She looked after me for the night... S-she didn't have to... She didn't know who I was, but she still kept me safe... And... And I owe her...

The familiar form of Marrik Piett, the director of Imperial Intelligence, appeared in a life-sized hologram, projected in the space next to Lord Havok and Commander Malice. The hologram was grainy for a moment as the encrypted image was established, then was projected with perfect clarity.
"I apologize, your majesty, I am offworld and have been detained elsewhere. I hope my presence in this manner is satisfactory, under the circumstances."
The Director was present and alert, but his eyes betrayed recent sleepless nights.

With his arrival, the Imperial brings him up to speed on the proposal made by Lord Havok in terms of a new organization. He further explained that it would be attached to the Imperial Intelligence, but still operate semi-independently. Full details were sent to Piett via an encrypted transmission in order for the Director to review it in full. The Emperor remained silent, awaiting what the Director thought.

The Director (hologram) lifted something. It was evident that he was reading the transmissions sent to him on a datapad. He read at his normal pace, unwilling to let the pressure of those present rush him. The Emperor of the First Order was requesting his input and he would deliver his thoughts and analysis as requested once he had properly assimilated the information.
After reading, the Director turned to regard Havok. After a moment of thought, Director Piett began, speaking in a deliberate and even tone.
"You claim to be a Seer. You do seem to have an uncommon power of sight. Imperial Intelligence would undeniably benefit from having access to information not even our spies can get through to." He worked his way through the brief on his datapad. "But you are also a sith. I have no doubt that you and the SSE will be effective if your goal is to destroy your enemies. The question is, who are your enemies? Sith are known for having ulterior motives. You have a high opinion of yourself if you think that extending your life is a priority for the funding and assets of Imperial Intelligence-"
"It will be worth it." Havok spoke calmly. "It damn well better be." The director's response was as emotionless as ever. Not a hint of a threat, but then again, there didn't need to be one.
"But you already know what I am going to say to this..." Even through the hologram, Merrik Piett's blue eyes were striking.
Havok nodded knowingly. Half of their conversation was unspoken.
"And you also know that I will do my duty to the Emperor. Whatever the cost."
Havok slowly nodded once.
Director Piett put down the datapad and turned back to the Emperor. "Your Highness, Lord Havok is no doubt a talented asset, however, I have my reservations about his sith loyalties. I am in favor of granting his proposal, but I would impose a probationary period before I grant him the autonomy he is requesting."
Havok had been resigned to this outcome. But it annoyed him all the same.
"His first task would be to deal with the meddlesome Brother Eli on Muunilist. Imperial Intelligence has received requests from local law enforcement that clearly lead us to believe that Eli is a religiously and racially motivated serial killer. In all honesty, most products of the inquisitorious are. The point is, Grand Moff Kasalle personally called for justice for the victims."
The director had spoken his mind. He didn't like having to rely on a sith, but Havok may prove to be a powerful asset if the sith seer delivered on his proposal for the SSE.
"What is your decision, your Majesty?"

Jin had been fighting this whole time not to speak and mouth off to one of, if not the, most powerful people in the galaxy. But here he was continuing to disparage her history, her life in the Underworld. She pushed a few strands of her black and purple hair behind her ear, trying to reach for anything else to think about. But then the moment came, were the emperor's eyes locked with hers and he spoke to her directly. Suddenly the flaming anger in her changed. No longer did it feel like a raging fire that made her tremble, but it was now something with a purpose, like a furnace. The girl from the Underworld chose to open her mouth and speak her mind, no matter what it would cost her. Well, first of all Fiora has a lot of Fiora in her. She's a bright kid who want's to experience the Galaxy that she's only allowed to look at, but not touch. She helped me out as much as I did her. Second. The Underworld is not some dangerous slum to be cracked down on. We had freedom, and now that's taken from us by these bucketheads. At least when the Triad was running my neighborhood I didn't have to worry about running into... predators on my way to the shuttle station. We have our problems. But we took care of them ourselves. But now, we still do, but have to be worried about these kriffing plastic boys thinking taking justice into our own hands is a bad thing and getting more people killed. Third. You wanted to know about me? I hate you and everything you and this Empire stands for. But Fiora is my friend. And something we learn down in the Underworld is that you don't turn your back on your friends. You follow them into the Rancor pit, cause if we don't look out for each other, then who the kriff will? Jin realized as she had been speaking, she hadn't been taking many breaths, and so was taking deep ones now. She glared up at the Emperor from her bandaged face. The fire still burned in her, her fists clinched at her sides, she wouldn't struggle if he ordered her to be dragged off to a dungeon, or shot on the spot. But she looked over at Fiora. This had all been to get her back here, and that's what she did. She felt the fire settle and her fists unclenched as she offered a small smile.

He wasn't an expert, not even by a long shot, but it still helped him nonetheless. When a mission was given, the Emperor understood its meaning. It was a monumental task, one that would determine the loyalty of Havok and his true motives.I believe this is a good decision, Director. A good task to see if Havok and the SSE can prove their worth and loyalty to the Empire that they desire to serve. I would like to see how this fanatical preacher is dealt with... whether he is calmed down and brought to submission or silenced, permanently.Nicademus looks at Havok.Do you feel up for this task, Lord Havok?

You wanted to know about me? I hate you and everything you and this Empire stands for. But Fiora is my friend. And something we learn down in the Underworld is that you don't turn your back on your friends. You follow them into the Rancor pit, cause if we don't look out for each other, then who the kriff will? The words had caused Baltasar to visibly twitch. He made a step forward after Jin Song spoke.=Baltasar= Why you insolent little-The hand of the Emperor was raised immediately.Silence.The Imperial states, without even a hint of anger. His hand was lowered as he took in the words of this female who had lived in the Underworld all her life. The Emperor was aware that not everyone enjoyed the Empire, even though he ensured that doors were never closed on those who desired work, who desired advancement, who desired to serve their nation in any way possible. There was never a nation that enjoyed a one hundred percent support from its people. There would always be those who disliked and even hated the nation they lived under. There would also be those who did not care either. Jin Song was of the former over the latter. When I came to this world, Jin Song, I saw these... organizations you spoke of, those like the Triad. I saw children in pens, adults in poor condition, and money stolen by the thousands. These people preyed upon the weak to get what they want. To control the streets. And so when I came, I sought to re-establish order and law. And even though I did my best, I know there is still evil that hides. He gestures to Fiora.A father is naturally concerned for his children when they vanish. Especially in the middle of the night. I know that she and her brother want to see the galaxy... but I do not bar them because I am a father who wants to cloister his children. Who wants them to always be safe and coddled. It's because I want them to be ready. I want them to be able to survive and thrive without me. For one day, I will not be here and I want the lessons, they learned, to ensure they can continue moving forward. Their coming education, which has just begun, will take them to places unlike anything seen before... and there, they will learn and see the galaxy. His eyes remained focused on Jin Song as he spoke.I did not say that the Underworld was a slum, but I do know that there are dangers lingering, not only in the Underworld, but up here too. I am concerned for the public safety of all those under my authority. It is a rulers duty, to his people, to give them security and peace of mind. You would hate me if I didn't police just as you hate me for policing. In the former, you would say I do not care. Just as in the latter, you say that my men took your freedoms away.Nicademus turns away from Jin Song and moves back to his daughter, looking at his child. He still remembered the day that his twins were born, brought into this galaxy as a blessing to him. How they began to mature and change from crawling to walking, from babbling to talking. Every day that passed, the father became more proud of his son and daughter. The Emperor remains silent before turning to Jin.I only seek to do what I feel is right as a ruler. Hate my empire, if you will. There are those who truly believe in my vision, those who follow it out of necessity, there are those who resent it, and everything in between. I cannot please everyone. I can merely do what I can, as a ruler, to lead my people and ensure that they are safe. I must do my duty to the nation I created and not be like others who sit upon thrones and grow lazy with their power.Looking back at Fiora, he speaks to his daughter now. What do you think of your friend, Fiora? Do you trust her? Do you believe she will be a good friend to you? Do you believe she will be a lasting bond that you can turn to no matter what the circumstance? The Emperor would see the judgment of his daughter. A test of her abilities. Because, he had already seen it in Jin. Despite her words about his nation, she was determined to be a friend to Fiora. She was determined to remain that friend. Nicademus had no plans to bar his daughter from making friends, no matter what their background. The makings of a true friend, something that his children needed in the future to come. People that they could rely upon for anything.

"Yes, My Emperor." His voice darkened, fulfilling his earlier prophetic vision. Through the long hair around his face, and underneath his pale brow, Havok's eyes burned with a malevolent confidence and strength that, though always had been there, suddenly stepped into the forefront. Lord Havok was a very dangerous man and for the moment, ceased trying to hide it. His demeanor lent credence to Havok's speech in the Convocation hall:
This was the last second, the crucial moment when the Emperor would see the Dread Lord Havok clearly. The Emperor was unleashing this monster upon his foes and upon the galaxy. As with making a deal with the devil, the Emperor need only command it and the deal would be struck. The powers of darkness and evil within the Sith Lord standing before the Emperor would be brought to bare on those monsters seeking the destruction of the Empire or Emperor.
"You need only command me, Emperor, and I shall resolve the Brother Eli situation in your favor." The Dread Lord's voice was hungry, though annoyed at the trial period; he was close. So close!
Havok craved the resources, power: To crush and destroy and devour. The darkest and strongest powers emerged when so engaged. Havok needed the force, to conquer it, revel in it. Like an addict, Havok would prop up the whole damn empire and lay waste to worlds if necessary to ensure that this Emperor was happy. Happy enough to allow Havok to continue to killing the enemies of the Empire and drinking from the fount of the dark side. No one minds if evil consumes evil.
Havok waited for the command that would set him to this task, and seal the pact-- that Havok's loyalty was desired in exchange for the resources and permission to impose his dark will on all disloyal and treacherous beings in the realm.

Looking back at Fiora, he speaks to his daughter now. Fiora had already been hesitant to admit she had gone to the Underworld, and her Father's reaction was all the evidence as to why. But she also knew it was better to be honest and truthful than to try and lie about where she had gone. It was true that Neith would not have said anything, but her Father would have known when Fiora lied to him. So she stood resolute and accepted the scolding.
She knew he had valid points. Had it not been for Jin, Fiora would have well and truly been in far more trouble in the Underworld. She was not sure she could have so valiantly fought off those attackers in the way Jin had. And had it not been for the appearance of that strange boy, she could have easily ended up in far worse circumstances. Though in truth, it was also the case that had it not been for Jin, the Stromtroopers would have discovered her identity far sooner. A fact she would happily omit from any further details about her time there.
There was little about her Father's words she could deny. Stories about her Mother's... adventures were widespread, even if not very often repeated. It was something of a comment she took pride in.
But soon, her Father was addressing Jin, causing Fiora's stoicism faltered for a moment. She knew her friend was not about to hold back on her opinion of the FO. And Jin certainly did not disappoint in that regard. A great deal of fear and concern washed over her as she watched her Father and Uncle. Either one of them could have ordered the Stormtroopers to fire on Jin then and there. But thankfully neither of them did. She shot her Uncle a hard and disgusted stare as he looked set to make some rude remark about Jin before her Father stopped him.
However, her gaze and attention was soon drawn back to her Father. She looked up to him as he asked his questions of her regarding Jin. She knew her next words could very well decide the fate of whether she saw Jin again or not. She took a deep breath and looked to her friend for a moment. She had felt drawn to Jin by the Force and her Visions had been far less... disturbing around her. She lifted her gaze back to her Father thenI do trust her... Even when she found out who I was, she still protected me and helped me get back here. She could have kidnapped me or tried ransom me... But she didn't. I don't just believe she will be a good friend and someone I can turn to... I know she is... Those attuned to the Force would have felt a slight shift in the air emanating from Fiora as she made that last statement. It was a brief and passing thing Elayne's eyes widened for a moment as she felt the pulse through the Force. Despite many of her comrades merely brushing the shift off as nothing of concern, Elayne had felt it before. Her time with Fiora had left her feeling such shifts in the Force when the Princess had spoken about various matters. She was not entirely sure what the future held, but the Princess certainly seemed to know something

On her list of things to do today, having to prevent the Princess' newest friend from being killed in the Imperial Palace had not initially ranked there at all. But she was willing to put herself between the Emperor's forces and this girl known as Jin. While she remained calm and collected externally, her Helmet HUD was busy scanning and tracking every weapon in the room. Thankfully though, the meeting seemed to proceed without too much issue or cause for concern.
However, something of note did occur. She felt the shift in the Force emanating from Fiora when the Princess declared that she knew Jin was trustworthy. It was a change in the flow that she had not felt in many years. But it was one that she had learned to recognize, much like her other brothers and sisters had. For it foretold of a vision from those whom could see events yet to unfold. Thus, an idea began to form. One which she would later share with Harnan Ren

I do trust her... Even when she found out who I was, she still protected me and helped me get back here. She could have kidnapped me or tried ransom me... But she didn't. I don't just believe she will be a good friend and someone I can turn to... I know she is... There was a noticeable shift within the present Imperial Knights, something that the Grand Marshal noticed and the Emperor only slightly paid attention to. His mind and focus was on that of Fiora. He wasn't force attuned, but the Imperial was a good judge of a person's words and tone. Nicademus keeps his gaze trained on his daughter before looking off at Jin Song. His gaze, steeled and stern, looked directly at the street girl for a long time before returning to Fiora.Jin Song ...Nicademus speaks, but doesn't look at the person who spoke of.I came from a privileged family on Eriadu. My father did his best to ensure that myself, my brother, and my sister were all well educated and prepared for the future. Anything could have been ours. But there is something I learned early on; wealth cannot buy you true friends. Status does not make friends. Position does not make friends. Only when you look beyond everything, and see someone for who they are, and accept them as such, can a true friendship be formed. For a moment, the Imperial reflected on his own friends. Faina Nikulin, Xeonon Solomon, Julius Arcavius, and others. People who followed him as subordinates, but had his undivided trust and, in return, their unquestionable loyalty. Men and women who were beyond just nameless faces. His sharp gaze now looked at Jin.I want my children to earn friends wherever they can be found. Whether they be highborn or lowborn, privileged or not, civilian or soldier, man or woman. The bonds that they can make without even considering any of those statuses, and can feel like kindred soul meeting another, deserve to last a life time. Those people will always be at their side and ready to help them, even if they are knocked down. People who will never abandon them. The Emperor now moves away from his daughter and fully approaches Jin Song. His eyes trained upon her as his mind began to think and contemplate. She looked like someone who could take care of herself and she didn't seem like a bad influence for Fiora. Now, Nicademus wanted to see Jin's resolve. She had been fiery tongued before about the Emperor himself, but, now, he wanted to see the same determination that he had just seen in Fiora. Can I trust you to be that friend to her and look out for her as she will do the same for you?

Jin had been glaring at all those in front of her, especially Baltasar. She didn't care what these pompous Imperials thought of her, she knew who she was and that Fiora was her friend, weather they'd be allowed to see each other or not. Every word the Emperor spoke just made her more angry. Her fists were clinched at her side. She hadn't gone through hell this morning to be talked down at by a man who never had to worry about where his next meal was coming from, or if he'd wake up evicted from his home. No, he and the rest of these upper level elite got her anger. But then she heard Fiora's voice as she vouched for her. Jin's anger ebbed as she turned and looked at her friend. She gave Fiora a friendly smile before, once again with a scowl, she turned to face the Emperor. Jin closed her eyes for a moment, forcing her temper to even out. The scowl was replaced by a look of determination. Her fists unclenched and one hand came up to rest of Fiora's shoulder. As I believe I've made clear, I couldn't careless what you think of me, your Majesty. But you are Fiora's father, so I will respect that about you. I am Fiora's friend, and would have been princess or not. That's why I looked out for her in the Underworld, and why I came with her to a place I knew I had a good chance of not leaving. Because I have her back and I know she'll have mine. And even if you stop me from being able to see her again, know she will always have a friend in the Undercity, district G17.

A simple smile crossed the Emperor's face.I believe Fiora will know if it is best to keep you at her side or not.Nicademus would not mettle in the friends made by his children unless it was absolutely necessary. They would learn of the boons and hardships of such ties. They would learn to know when it was time to begin one and end another. If they sought his help, the Emperor would offer it. If they sought his advice, he would dispense it. However, the Imperial reserved the right to get in the way if it was needed.
Nicademus then looks between his daughter and her friend, Jin. Eventually, his focus would turn to Jin.As her friend, that means you are connected to the Imperial family, to a degree.Nicademus begins to state something of importance to the young female from the Underworld.I can extend patronage as a means of aiding the advancement of those who desire certain work, jobs, professions, and such. To help them in ensuring a door is open to a career that they desire to pursue. If you desire it, Jin Song, I can offer you such a boon to help you advance where you desire to go.These privileges were the least he could do to show that Nicademus accepted this friendship between his daughter and the Coruscanti native. At least, this could ensure that she could follow Fiora to Prakith, if allowed. The Knights of Ren had their training facilities for ground and naval personnel. The Emperor then turns to his brother, Baltasar, who snaps to attention when his brothers gaze falls on him.The invitation for Jin Song to stay with us is hereby extended. Ensure a room is available, if she accepts, and that she has a security pass for future visits. All the Grand Marshal could do was salute and acknowledge the order.
