"Thank you for telling me... and thank you for taking care of the family, I'm sorry you had to do it alone. As the rightful heir of the Tarkin Estate I claim it. I will restore our family's wealth, so that it can properly aid our join endeavor and provide security for our family in the years to come. I want Cygnus and his ilk stricken from all records and I mean ALL records! From this day forth he is a traitor to me!" The gloved hand of Malvus is raised immediately, its palm facing Zuka as an indication to halt his promised endeavors. After a moment, it would return to the Sith's side as he continued to walk with Zuka. There was more that needed to be said after all and his plans required much more subtly.Cousin, I must simply advise you not to claim the Tarkin Estates. Even now, its protocol and systems have been rewritten to obey my commands as a part of my plans and to ensure tight security over these walls. The universe thinks you are dead, Zuka, let them continue to believe that. Let my impostor, the public Ulric von Tarkin, remain as the nominal head of the Tarkin Family and the hegemony I created. We must think of the board picture and of the plans I have set in motion. The Sith knew that Zuka was a Tarkin supremacist, who desired nothing but the return of their family's legendary and known leadership. Yet to do so would disrupt all the plans that Malvus had worked so hard to implement. Patience would be needed, a lot of it. If any part of his plans were disrupted, everything could fall apart instantly. He had lingered long within this region of space and would see it be used to fuel the Sith once more.We must look beyond restoring the family, Zuka... for even now, Eriadu has a million man army under my firm control, officers who are under my influence, a shipyard orbiting Sullust to construct warships. I ask for patience, patience so that my plans can unfold. The Tarkin name will be restored in due time, but now is not that time. I have everything I need, more than what Cygnus could ever have hoped to achieve. More than what our family could hope to have at its disposal. I advise patience and I ask that you follow my lead on this.

After a minute of eyeing each other down, no response came from Vurkar. She guessed he had nothing say in the moment. Whether that meant he was simply waiting for the spar's end before making any comments, good or bad, or she was doing what she was supposed to was beyond her.
She wasn't given much choice as the droid made its way towards her again, its staff spinning in its right hand. She brought her saber up with both hands, moving it from waist level to chest height. As it got close, it jabbed in at her with one end, to which Luxeria brushed it to her right with her saber. With a fluid motion, the guard's staff spun back towards him with the parry, angling the other in towards Luxeria as it lunged in effortlessly again. Her position helped her little in trying to respond to the use of the staff and stumbled back a couple steps to get some distance from the guard, her saber coming across to her left with one hand to knock it back. The deflection was once again used against Luxeria as the staff spun more, this time up towards its right shoulder. This brought the other end in a steep upwards slash going from her left leg to her right side, all the while stepping forward, pressing in with its attacks, its feet crossing in front of each other, though still a bit towards their respected side and its body shifting along with each step in perfect balance.
With Luxeria's saber lifted higher, she was unable to bring it down fast enough to block the attack. Each attack the Magnaguard delivered easily moved into the next attack, using her own blocks and parries against her, aiding with a far more swift movement. In the end, the droid was demonstrating the Makashi form though she didn't realize it. She stepped back further, and already being off balance caused her to fall backwards to the ground. In this, she responded quickly enough by continued to roll back onto her feet.
The moment her feet lay flat against the ground, she moved it, not wanting to let herself stay on the defensive. She slashed from right to left, aiming for the droid's shoulders. It's staff clashed against her saber but otherwise passed by as she pressed the attack swirling her saber downwards for a strike at it's right leg, to which the staff blocked. Without a moment's hesitation, she brought it back up to the droid's right shoulder and once again met the droid's staff. She pushed against it, believing she had more strength in her attack. Each point she made contact with the droid's weapon was at each end, which meant their was no momentum in the attacks to give it much force. And as she thought, she pushed against it and it was slowly giving. But as her saber reached a point close to its head, it gave with the pressure and Luxeria's saber moved along her path uncontrolled.
With this, the battle's end came swiftly as the opposite end of the staff came up and lightly tapped her left arm, then was redirected in its spin to to up under Luxeria's saber as she just started to regain control of it to hit it just above the hilt. The staff spun again as it came down on the top side of the saber, hitting the same location above the hilt. The sudden sting on her arm and the quick double strike at her focused point of grip, the saber was removed from her hand and sent to the ground. The final attack was the droid stepping in and pushing against Luxeria with the middle portion of the staff which sent her back to the ground without the ability to roll away as the end was pointed at her chest.

Eriadu, one of the biggest city planets in the galaxy. Once a hub of the Tarkin Family's wealth, although you would never notice the difference. No, no matter who ruled over the planet, it was a busy place. Riddled with traffic, crowds of people, business, and just straight noise. Nothing would ever change that.. There in the heart of the city the Tarkin Estates stood, as gloomy and triumphant as ever. Not many people seemed to linger around them for too long. Except a single figure hooded and cloaked who seemed to be staring down the gates. He seemed to be watching the grounds for a little too long, just examining. Watching. Then, Movement. With a flick of his wrist the gates of the estate tore from their hinges. Then they lifted a few feet into the air, before they were sent flying into the doors of the estate. Which blew the doors open killing or injuring anyone within close proximity. The man took a few extra steps towards the entrance he had now created, and then spoke.
Cygnus and Adulph Tarkin!
These words echoed throughout the streets, the people in the surrounding area's ran for cover. While some were stunned, and could do nothing but watch. He reached to his belt and unclipped a light saber. He then activated it, revealing its crimson red light which then partially lit his face under his hood.
Come forth and face me lest I tear the house of your fathers down around you, and make this your tomb!

Malvus immediately turned away from Zuka as he sensed something approaching the Estates. The Sith would calmly turn and begin making his way to the front of the estate. Already, squads of armed YVH droids began making their way to the doorway of the Estate's interior as the entire facility was voided of any organics save the Sith that inhabited its halls. Malvus sensed something familiar about this person who he could hear screaming - there was a presence within this person, a presence that was faint, but familiar to the Sith nonetheless. By the time he arrived at where this person was screaming for Cygnus and Adulph, the Sith Lord had solved it.
He came to the entrance of the Estate's interior, seeing a young male, a crimson lightsaber within his hands. Malvus glances at the damage done from the Estate's exterior entrance all the way to the very doorstep of the facility's interior. The Sith then slowly turned his gaze to the young male.
You are already too late... Cygnus and Adulph have long been dead. I only wished that I had been the one who ended their lives personally.
Malvus saw a partially illumination of the intruder's face and immediately knew who he was dealing with. The Sith gestures to the droids present as they lower their weapons. Some repair droids rushed out and began to repair the damages done as the Sith speaks to the male.
I thought I sensed someone familiar... now I see why. You are a descendant of Raven Tarkin Ordinii, my cousin. And from what I can tell, his resemblance is still strong within you; are you his son or grandson? I knew of his son when was born, but I have not seen him since Raven vanished many years ago. And it has been some years since that day.

Nothing, not what he was expecting. He looked on in disgust. He was expecting some big headed git to come through the entrance spouting some garbage about how he was going to pay for that. You know some cranky old bad man stuff. Instead, he was received by droid units. He snickered at the idea that he was to be received by mindless drones. Then a new face. He deactivated his saber and listened to the man speak. "The old man croaked huh?" he thought to himself. "Shame at least if the boy was here I would be able to bring home some honor." He removed his hood, and revealed his face. He did in fact look just like Raven, save for the hair and the eyes. His hair being white as snow, and eyes being inhuman like blue. He spoke to the man addressing him.
What is your name?

The Sith gestures to his droids, dismissing them. Slowly the YVH models begin to disperse and return to their stations throughout the seemingly vacant Tarkin Estates. Once they were alone, Malvus turned his gaze once more upon Maedhros. He had Raven's face indeed, a much younger version of it. This young man was indeed a descendant of Emperor Raven, a Sith who once ruled from the planet of Taris and was the cousin of the Sith Lord that stood before the male. His gaze remained upon Maedhros for a moment longer before the Malvus spoke.
In a life before, I was known as Valstrol Horica. By Cygnus, I was mocked as a Motti. Today, I am Darth Malvus, reborn anew from the life I led before.

Valstrol. He had heard this name before. He was the man that helped grandfather keep the outer rim systems from the yuuzhan vong. Turned out to be his cousin, and long time friend and ally. His father had told him little of him. The little he could remember from that time, he was just a child after all and towards the end of it all.
You say he disappeared.. My grandfather. You don't know then?

The last time Malvus remembered speaking to Raven, it was during the height of the Fourth Galactic Empire. Then there was silence. An attempt had been made to nominate a new Emperor among Raven's supporters and family, an attempt that was derailed by the bold ambitions of Adulph Tarkin, who claimed to be the rightful heir, even though Raven had a son of his own, mothered by Bria Shadowlight-Tarkin. In the end, fourth reincarnation of the Galactic Empire was dissolved and the family went its separate ways afterwards. Since that day, Malvus was the only one of the family remaining, until the appearance of Zuka and now Raven's grandson.
I only remember the last time we spoke. I knew your father when he was still a suckling babe within the arms of your grandmother, Bria. It has been decades since I last saw your father and grandparents. It was assumed that he vanished, no one knew what happened to Raven, not even his wife.

His wife didn't know? Was that a lie? Was she in on the attempt on his life? Had to be, Maedhros heard the stories. Seen the looks in the eyes of his father and all that had been there. He grew angry at the thought, and clutched his saber tighter.
He was killed. On Taris. The battle that engulfed the planet. A "rebellion" if you will. Started by Adulph and the old man.. Cygnus lost control, he thought Raven his puppet. When he realized he could no longer control him, he picked Adulph to be the head of the family, and Adulph with help from the old man had him killed.. Battle raged in the streets and they had my father who was just a boy kidnapped. My grandfather of course followed, and just when he thought they were victorious and that his son was safe. He was stabbed in the back by one of his own generals.

With this story told by Raven's grandson, it made sense to Malvus now. After all, Adulph had attempted to make himself Raven's successor when the attempt was made to nominate a new leader for the Galactic Empire. Raven's child was too young to sit upon the throne, but could still rule under a regency. Yet Adulph was very ardent on having everyone support his claim, which was nonexistent save the Tarkin surname he shared with Raven.
It is another smear upon the decadent reputations of Cygnus and Adulph. At least they are dead now and can no longer meddle in our affairs like they used to.
Malvus then turns to the young male, deciding to inquire upon his name.
Tell me your name, grandson of Raven.

Maedhros was confused on how he had gotten to this point. Just a moment ago he was here to kill someone. Now he was standing here talking ancient history.. This is not how he thought today was going to go.. His interest was fading.. He had half a mind to bring this building down regardless just because of the people who used to live in there. At least then he will have served a purpose. He snapped out of his day dream when he noticed the lull. He had caught just the end of what Malvus had said.
Maedhros.

Malvus remained quiet for awhile as he looked at Maedhros. Then after a moment, the Sith turned and began to walk away, returning to the further interior of the Estates. He paused for a moment to glance back at the young Dark Sider. His arrival was auspicious given the Sith's current plans, perhaps he could be an asset.
You are welcomed to stay, Maedhros, since you are the grandson of my cousin, Raven. A word of advice though, keep your head low... I want to keep our presence unseen and unknown by the Eriaduan public. So no more busting down doors. This facility is being used, after all, for greater purposes. I want it preserved as such.
Without another word, he would turn away and continue walking down the way he came. Whether Maedhros followed Malvus or not was up to theyoung man's decision and not the Sith's prerogative.

Maedhros took in his words as he turned away from him. He thought on it for a moment. "Well... I suppose I have nowhere else to go... No other pressing matters. Perhaps staying here would yield something interesting." He said internally. He had after all come here for a family reunion. This one may have been a little lame for his taste, and certainly less entertaining then what he had originally hoped to be doing but maybe it happened for a reason. Then he remembered something that his father said to him a long time ago. "The Tarkins, So long as they are lead by the imperial sect of the family, will only seek to use you, and ultimately lead you into ruin. For once they have no need for you. They will dispose of you." He smirked, and raised his hands up and brought them back down till they clapped at his sides.
Sorry Father... He whispered to himself. Wait up you rude git!
As he said that he followed Malvus into the manor. Smiling and rubbing the back of his head at the droids who worked on repairs as he passed them by, and the sith who eyed him in the halls.

Zuka merely watched and followed his cousin silently as the new addition arrived. Last Zuka knew of Raven was that he was leading the Tarisian Empire with the backing of Cygnus. Malvus failed to mention Raven had been killed instead of disappearing. This shocked Zuka to his core as he had served with Raven since the Neo Sith Order. As Maedhros caught up to Malvus and himself, Zuka spoke up...
"Maedhros is it? I am Zuka Zammanee... Tarkin AND I knew your grandfather, Raven. I'm sorry to hear that he had died... It is becoming quite clear it may not have been such a good thing I left."
Zuka leaned to his cousin Malvus and whispered...
"As for our conversation earlier... I will do as you ask. We will try things your way Val."

Zuka his name rung a bell. He remembered his father mentioning him when he asked about the family tree once. However since his father hadn't even been born yet when Zuka left. He did not have much knowledge of him.
No need to apologize, I didn't know him, just heard stories.

"As for our conversation earlier... I will do as you ask. We will try things your way Val." Malvus glances at Zuka, sensing only a slight reluctance to accept the Sith's plans for now. Patience would be needed in order for his plans to come to fruition and, hopefully, both of them would show such patience. He glances at Maedhros, then at Zuka.Get our cousin situated, Zuka. I need to return to my apprentice and see how her training is progressing.Without another word, the Sith Lord departed the presence of his two cousins and returned to his work.

Zuka acknowledged his cousin's request and motioned for his young relative, Maehdros to follow him toward the living quarters of the massive estate. With Maehdros at his side Zuka explained the history of the Tarkin Estate, but when it came to the portion about Cygnus and Adolph, Zuka skipped them over. After a short stroll through the corridors they arrived to a luxurious section of the estate on a higher floor. The living quarters split off to a long hallway to itself with only one entrance to the main estate, this was done to keep guests away and sectioned off from the family and for security purposes. As the pair looked down the hallway Zuka turned to his young cousin...
"I have many questions for you as I am sure you have many for me as well. What made you seek us out here on Eriadu, how long will you be here and what do you seek?"
Zuka motioned for a protocol droid to aid him in assigning Maehdros a room.
"Droid, our guest requires a room. I sense he will be a long term guest. Take us to a room."
The protocol droid skipped an introduction and immediately sought out a suitable room. After a brief walk down further into the corridor they were shown a spacious room with everything anymore could require. Zuka dismissed the droid and inspected the quarters finally ending his inspection at the window that looked out upon one of the many gardens around the estate. In the distance Eriadu City could be seen with its industrial skyline unmistakable.

Maedhros listened quietly as Zuka spoke to him about the history of the family here on Eriadu. He followed him through the living quarters until he asked his questions. He thought hard on this, for he himself hadn't even established this for himself yet.
Well I didn't come here to seek anyone out. I came here to avenge my grandfather, something my father should have done when he came of age.. I didn't expect.... Well this.I am not sure how long I will be staying, perhaps until I can establish something of my own like my grandfather did. My original quest was to reclaim my family's birth right. Now I am not sure, but I assume it is the will of the force, and that I will need to find my own way, instead of reclaiming the old.

Zuka couldn't help but relate to his cousin's dilemma. Having just returned himself to a whole new galaxy it seemed, Zuka found himself in a backward frame of mind. With Valstrol or Malvus leading the family in a much different way than Raven and Cygnus had done so. Zuka epitomized the old guard of a time forgotten in the galaxy, where empire building was the norm for dark siders and imperial types. Zuka foresaw his struggle to remain relevant in these awkward times. Zuka shook off such thoughts and reminded himself that he was still of use...
"I understand your dilemma all too well. As a member of this family you will be welcomed to stay here as long as you like. The droids can see to your needs, if you require the common things. But... about your grandfather... what happened to Raven? He was a close friend... I hate to think of his death...I hope it was honorable."

Maedhros knodded in appreciation. He found himself surprised at how much kindly he was being treated. This was not at all the picture his father had painted for him. However he remained weary, but at the same time felt comfortable talking to Zuka. Even when speaking of his grandfather which brought anger to his heart, for even if he did not know him. Not being able to honor his legacy the way he had intended brought a rage that burned like a fire inside him.
I appreciate your words... He paused to calm himself. My grandfather was killed in battle by one of his generals. Hired by Cygnus and Adulph Tarkin. They planned to remove him from the throne of emperor and clear the way for Adulph to control the empire. To do so they abducted my father who was just a boy at the time, and created a revolt which erupted into the streets of Taris. Then revealed my fathers location to him. When they finished cutting their way there, the traitors in his ranks revealed themselves to him, and they did battle. When they thought the battle was over one of the conspirators slipped behind him and place a saber through his back.. He did it right in front of my fathers eyes before himself had been captured and put in front of a firing squad... Knowing that the plot was not yet over, that his children would be next.. Lord Kane, one of my Grandfathers generals took my father and the other children from the capital. Hiding them away in the unknown regions..
