*Makhai shifted slightly at the mention of "Zuka". The name was familiar and it confirmed what he suspcted having already seen the Equinox in orbit. He made note of it and would be sure to pass that information along. He stayed back from Lady Tyrana and Lord Malvus' conversation. Once Malvus turned to engage him, Makhai's Emerald eyes stayed with him as he listened, then nodded in understanding.*
I shall pass the message on to them My Lord.
*Makhai remarked. He knew that "them" would give Malvus the knowledge that there were more than three involved, but Malvus had also informed him that there was more on Eriadu and to his own workings than it outwardly appeared, so a quid pro quo was in order it seemed.*
Might I ask My Lord, what types of endeavors are you currently engaged? This way our associates may come with an idea of how best we can both mutually benefit in a more timely manner.
*He knew the information might be guarded but if Malvus chose to divulge or not, that was his decision to make. Makhai watched him intently as he wanted to make sure he did not make any more errors, here or with the others.*

Maedhros bowed his head to Malvus.
As you wish, I'm sure we can find a more appropriate time to speak.
That with that being said he exited the training room, having heard the message from Zuka.

*Gavin was quite surprised at how well Luxeria's blocks were what he was about to show her. Her ability to understand, not to mention how well she picked up on rhythm and flow, was a sight to see. It made him wonder if she had learned dance at one point. Martial arts and weapon combat was but another form of dance. Makashi would certainly serve her well once she was able to utilize it effectively.
As her attacks came, he responded much as she did. Hi saber came up to block the overhead, them move from side to side the point of the saber changing once they reached the waist. As the attacks finished, he nodded.* "You catch on quickly, Luxeria. The blocks you performed were right on with what I was going to show you. Hopefully you were still able to gain some insight to the movements nevertheless. The over head block is obvious enough. When you go to protect your sides, if the saber attack high, usually from the waist up, the better block is with the blade tip pointed up. From the waist down, the blade tip down is a strong defense. Also, when you block with the tip down, it is best to turn the saber down opposite of the dominant hand. As such, my right hand is typically my dominate, so twisting my wrist to the left to direct the blade down is more effective. Doing it the other way doesn't allow me to move it as far down as well and my grip loosens and my strength diminishes." *He demonstrated what he talked of by moving the blade first to his left, then to his right. Twisting it to the right also forced him to lean to his right so the blade could reach better, which disrupted his balance. Standing straight, he continued on.* "That is the basics of Form I and the most I wish to concern your time with. Knowing these things will give you something to fall back on, or even add in to your own attacks." *He brought his saber up in front of him with both hands.* "Now we will do some exercises. First I'm going to attack you and you will block. I will alter where I will strike so you don't get caught in a single flow as well as increase my speed and strength as we go." *He waited only a moment before making his move. He attacked her left side shoulder, then lower left leg, moved to her right side waist, went for an over head strike on down to her upper right leg. His attacks didn't end as he slowly sped up, going on to her left side neck, then left side shoulder on over to her right side upper leg, then two quick over head strikes back to back before going to her left side waist, then her right side lower leg.* Luxeria brought her own saber up as Gavin did. She wasn't going to let him try and get the jump on her, though his words made it clear he wasn't intending to. So far, Gavin was progressing everything as a lesson, actually teaching it to her and moving through the motions slowly so that she understood and could fully grasp what he was showing her instead of expecting her to handle right of the bat. She wondered where he developed his method of teaching and how many he had trained before. It was almost as if he had instructed groups of people at a time as well as individuals. Whatever the case, she was glad for the time he was spending teaching her. Of course, there was nothing wrong with how Malvus was training her either.
Her thoughts were quickly pushed aside as Gavin began his assault. She brought her saber over to her left side at his first strike, then twisted it so that it faced down at his second. Without changing its angle, she brought her blade over to deflect and push back against his strike at her waist before bringing it up above her head to block the over head strike, then back down to block the move against her upper right leg.
As his attacks continued from there, she could feel him speeding up, his attacks gaining more force. Bit by bit, they were moving from a show and tell to a serious training session. As his moves sped up, so did her blocks. But there was more than that. As the pace increased she let go of any line of thought, working to let the patterns flow naturally as if second nature. It would take time to get it that far, but Gavin was still nowhere near serious attacking speed. She brought the blade up to her left side to defend her neck, dropping her blade only slightly as the attack moved down to her shoulder, the twisted it downwards and moved it over to her right leg. The blade came up to block the over head strike and pulled back slightly, only to move back up when he attacked there again. Finally, she brought her saber down to defend her left side waist, then over for her right leg.

*Gavin smirked as he pressed on with his attacks, ready to start pushing Luxeria. he started breaking from the form he had at first, going in with both two handed and single handed strikes. He swung at her right side waist, then lower right leg, quickly swung over to slash at her left shoulder. He followed up by bring his blade down overhead, then back to her left side shoulder followed by swinging around to her right side shoulder.
It was one thing to know the patterns. It was another thing to understand the force and speed that could be applied. If he didn't add to it, make her feel what a full furied opponent could be like, her mind wouldn't learn what it needed. She'd know the blocks to follow with, but would grasp the strength involved. He continued on in his attacks going to her left leg, then over to her right leg, over to her left shoulder to her right waist. He finished his progression with an overhead strike, back down to her right waist, but slashed further as he drew back to drive his blade in with a thrust. Predicting that her right hand would cause her to step to her left, much like he would, he brought his blade around with only his right hand to strike at her back.*

The more Gavin pushed, the more she found herself diving into the moment, trusting her mind and reflexes to act on instinct tied to the knowledge she had obtained from him so far. As her eyes kept focus on him, tracking his arms from the edges of her eyes, she noticed his form changing, becoming more natural to that of a true fight.
She followed him with her blocks, moving her blade to the right side for the waist strike, then lowered it for the leg, crossed over as it twisted up to block at her left shoulder, then above her for the overhead strike, and once again to her left shoulder then over to her right shoulder. It was there that she began to break the common form, becoming more fluid in her blocks. She pointed the blade down, similar to how he attacked to block his strike at her left leg, giving a little flair and spin as it crossed over to block him from her right leg. She let go with her left hand as her blade came up, tip pointing down as it met Gavin's blade at her left shoulder. Flowing with her block, her saber spun around behind her head before she took it with both hands again, letting the blade tip twist up to block his strike at her waist. From there it was a simple move up to block his overhead strike, then back down to deflect his previous move to her right waist.
She felt the thrust coming when his attack kept going instead of shifting sides. As he guessed, she stepped to her left, but there was more to it than simply being right handed. His previous attack placed her blade at her right side and there wasn't any time for her to really adjust. The most natural and logic reaction was to shift her body to the side and step back to what was her left. The blades skidded passed each other before Gavin swung around for her back. Bring the blade over he head and down her back, she caught his. The moment she felt him let up she pushed, forcing his blade over her head and to the ground in front of her. With his blade pinned, she pushed off with her right foot, plowing her left shoulder towards Gavin's chest.

*Gavin smirked as Luxeria added the extra bit at the end. It showed how well she could immerse herself in battle and go with the flow. It was a highly recommended skill that was more a natural ability than one that was learned. Experience was the true master in defining it, but Luxeria already seemed capable of harnessing it. All she needed was the nurturing Malvus and himself could give her. When she pushed herself into Gavin, he turned her right shoulder in to absorb the impact as he stumbled back. She had done well there as well, getting inside the opponent's attack and making her own. In this case, she sought to throw him off balance. With more strength and practice, she could have done so effectively.
He nodded as he stood straight.* "Very good. I'm impressed with how well you adapted your blocks and sought an opening to strike. Now we will reverse the roles. You attack me and I will block. And unless you wish to start slow to get your bearings, come at me at full speed."

Might I ask My Lord, what types of endeavors are you currently engaged? This way our associates may come with an idea of how best we can both mutually benefit in a more timely manner. Malvus's gaze remained firmly upon Makhai as the Sith Lord listened to the question posed. No matter what, he had to keep the identity and existence of the revived One Sith under wraps and unknown to the general public, even if that meant keeping Tyrana in the dark. He could not let these plans unfold prematurely and result in all his efforts crashing down around him. For a moment, the Sith contemplated silencing Makhai with a simple gesture of his hand, but he resisted the temptation. The endeavors that I am currently engaged in are consolidating what the Ses-Trade Hegemony has acquired for future usage. As I said, our planets are few but vital. I must continue to ensure the gears of this faction turn in my favor and that of my own designs. I have begun to sway the population to favor... militarism and authoritarian control. Seeding them with agents of my will and ensuring their absolute loyalty to the figurehead I have placed. His gaze turned outward towards what the Sith knew was the direction of the heart of Eriadu City. The Sith remained silent for a moment before speaking further, giving a note of advice to Makhai for him to pass to his group. This part of space has been long neglected by the Republic and untouched by the Jedi. Even Ryloth could not be protected when it stood as a key foothold for the Republic before their dismantlement. I would advise you to tell your group to use this region of space for every advantage that they can gain; for as I said, this swath of space has been neglected and thus makes rich in opportunity. If need be, they can align with Ses-Trade in order to... protect their interests.

He nodded as he stood straight.* "Very good. I'm impressed with how well you adapted your blocks and sought an opening to strike. Now we will reverse the roles. You attack me and I will block. And unless you wish to start slow to get your bearings, come at me at full speed." Luxeria stood straight as Gavin complimented her ability to learn and adapt. Though the knowledge itself would seem basic with only a little given, it gave Luxeria much. It proved how focused she was and able to progress. However, there was still a long way to go and she couldn't let herself get cocky over something so trivial. When he told her to begin attacking at full speed, she couldn't help but smirk. There was no explanation behind it, nothing that shed light on it in her mind. Of course he could handle her at full speed and strength. She knew there to be knowledge and skill locked away within his mind and body. He probably would even need any effort to beat her. But she also saw he knew how to carry himself so that students could better learn.
She moved in for her attack, stepping forward to close the distance he had from when he stumbled back. She brought her saber up with one hand, her left meeting the hilt just before she brought it down on Gavin. With this she began her barrage. From her initial attack, she navigated her blade to her left to strike at his right shoulder, then proceeded to carry her blade over her to the other side, slashing out at his left shoulder. As she began to pull the blade away to swing for a new place to attack, she redirected it so that it moved behind her as she pulled on it, a clear stance of the coming thrust. While the move that had been presented thus far by Gavin from a thrust was a strike at the back, it was not the approach she had. As her blade drove inward, she pulled straight up with a single hand before bringing it right back down on top of him in a single hand strike. Keeping with a single grip, her blade moved down to deliver two quick strikes, one to his right shoulder, the second at his knee. From there, she brought the saber around her head, her left grabbing hold of her hilt again as she made a hard swing at his left side waist.

*Gavin readied himself with a smirk of his own as Luxeria went on the attack. His left hand left the hilt as he opted to tend to his block with but a single hand. She was young a lacked the physical training he had gone through, making him capable of holding back her attacks. But it was more than that. He wanted to gauge her abilities, her strength, her speed. Her understanding and focus had mostly be determined at this point, leaving just the physical to sort out. Watching her from this point would help him sort out her training, direct her where she should focus her primary skills and what to work on to enhance herself.
His saber moved up to meet Luxeria's as the dance began. Already he could feel her intensity. There was desire and motivation in the attack, a good sign. And she while she lacked a lot of physical strength, it was more than he expected. It was enough that if he let himself drop his guard or if she was able to build strength as she went, he'd have to use both hands. When she made her strikes at his shoulders, he brought the saber down hard to knock back the first attack at his right, then brought it over quickly to hold her saber there. He watched how she pulled back, adding the sudden pull back for the thrust. While clear, it was a much more sudden strike than his own. He stepped to his left before turning his right leg back to let the blade pass by, bringing his saber down to deflect it away.
He was also impressed at how she navigated from this position, going straight up and back down. While he didn't see how Shii-Cho's simplicity made it unpredictable overall, it was this kind of move that made him realize it was more effective in that regard than he originally thought. He stepped back out with his right to face her again as his blade came up to block her over head strike. He dropped the blade to block the strike at his shoulder, but had to quickly grip the hilt with both hands to add to the speed to twist it down to catch the one to his knee. In that split moment, she had switched the approach, going from a stronger attack to a faster pace strike that kept her saber close to her opponent, leaving them no time to wind up for a strong attack or block, a very useful approach for the Makashi form she sought to learn. With her final strike, Gavin brought his saber over and blocked the strike, feeling the greater strength, as he was curious if it would happen. Instead of making the regular rounded swing that was typical, she moved the blade behind her head, shortening the distance and time it took to make her next attack. She even had greater strength than at the start.
Choosing to stop the routine so to move to the next exercise, his left hand moved from his saber at a heightened pace as it reached under his hilt and grabbed her wrist. He then pushed down, planting his blade tip into the ground and forcing her to lean forward. It was enough to break the focus before stepping back and nodded.* "Very good, Luxeria. You continue to show good progress and adaptability. There is one final exercise we will do before we move on to the Makashi form. We will spend a few minutes in normal combat. What I mean by this is you will attack and block as you find openings. This will be just like a normal spar."
*With those words said he stepped forward coming down in and over head strike, followed by a slash at her right shoulder.*

Malvus would gently touch his daughter's shoulder as he gazes down at her. She wasn't made of his flesh and blood, but she was still his daughter. He knew that Tyrana came to see him, but the Sith had to make sure there wasn't anything she was trying to hide from him. Tyrana was hard to evaluate, her spirit as wild as her thoughts and emotions. His gloved hand then gently touches her hand, lightly rubbing her hair before speaking. That's all I needed to know, Tyrana. You don't need to hide things from me, after all. I am glad though that you finished your surveys and used what free time you had to see me. Having regained your brother and sister as well as the reappearance of Vallen and my cousins, Zuka and Maedhros, your appearance only completed the resurfacing of my family, immediate and extended. Ty smiled softly and leaned her face into her father's touch, she looked up to him once he took his hand from her head and sighed. I am very glad that family is finding you... It keeps you out of trouble. She turned to Makhai after he had asked Malvus what was up, and her eyes widened slightly at the mention of a hegemony. Her papa really had been busy it seemed. She let the two men talk and just listened for now, taking in everything that was said so that she could use it to her benefit later. And perhaps get a shiny new toy out of it. Her mind wandered to the possibility of a new ship... But she forced herself to focus on the conversation

*Makhai firmly nodded in understanding. Malvus was displaying a great deal of patience and wisdom. He very seemed agreeable to negotiations with the others and this would be pleasently taken Makhai knew. He paused for a second and turned his gaze to match Lord Malvus'. Eriadu was one of the places that was modern with a sense of history and decadence. Makhai enjoyed the melding of old and new within the and throughout the city. After taking it in, he turned to Lord Malvus once more.*
My Lord, is there anything else you wish me to pass along to our companions?
*He had initiated the discussion and as such it was customary to see if Lord Malvus had anything he wished to discuss. Makhai glanced over at Lady Tyrana seeing if he had anything more to add or comment either.*

Luxeria's focus broke as Gavin grabbed her hand. Despite how well she was doing in Gavin's mind, her failure laid there. If she could so easily be broken from her focus in combat that it would cause her any form of hesitation, she would easily fall in battle. She had to work on staying in tune with the motions around so that when something like this happened, she could response without being distracted. Still, she gazed down at how he had her. Compared to his strength, she couldn't break free. However, it looked to be something useful she could work on. She might not be able to hold someone as he did, but perhaps she could disrupt her opponent's movements in that way.
Standing tall when he let go, she nodded as he spoke. Overall, he still seemed at least satisfied with how she was doing. Speaking of another exercise before moving on to the form she wanted to learn, she wondered what else there could be. Logically, his response made sense. A fight wouldn't be a switching of roles like they had just done. She needed to keep her mind in the zone of defending when being attacked and finding spots to change to offense.
She brought her saber up to block the strike from above, then dropped her blade to her right for the attempt at her shoulder. Pushing back against his saber, she used her push to give her some momentum for strength as she brought her saber down in an over head strike as well. From there she moved quickly for a swift strike at his lower left leg, then quickly up to his left waist. Hoping that her quicker attacks would give her an extra moment as she didn't intend to hold her place, she swung around to his right side shoulder with a stronger slash.

*Luxeria was quick to catch on and reverse the roles to go on the attack. The extra little push she gave was enough to cause a disruption in the flow of his attacks to allow for her to gain the upper hand. This tactic would work against lower level fighters and initiates and possibly skilled opponent if executed in the right manner. But against higher skilled fighters, it would only aid them in their next attack as they were able to flow on instinct far better while retaining form.
Fighting as someone just skilled enough to give her a challenge, he allowed the push to disrupt his moves enough to make clear the switch and her coming attack. He brought his saber up to hold off her first attack. Once again switching her styles to a much quicker assault, he moved to keep up, blocking to attack to his leg then waist. He moved over to defend his right shoulder. She was changing her styles well enough, seeking ways in which they could play on each other and give her an advantage. Observant and experimental to find an opponent's weakness, he hoped she'd keep a cool head and see when experimenting would be costly and advantageous.
When his blade met her attack, he decided to push on through. Where she blocked then pushed, he used the force of moving to intercept the block and added strength to break through her attack, which would typically cause a split second stun so that he could go back on the offensive. In this, he swung back in from his right to attack her left shoulder. He then proceeded to swing around to her right lower leg, then back around her left side waist, choosing to use a strength tactic over speed.*

Though she kept hold of herself this time around, when was momentarily stun at his sudden burst of strength that broke through her attack. Much more effective than her push. His greater strength could allow him to over power his opponent and break the flow of the movements. This brought about a small thought in the back of her mind in regards to strength over speed and grace, something she would have to ask about or look into later.
Luckily when he broke through her attack, it mostly stopped hers with a little bit of give when his completely pushed through. It allowed her to better reestablish her defense on her left side. She could feel his strength as he attack hard. Clearly it wasn't all he possessed, but it was enough for her to feel it and actually make her work for it. She carried her blade along, twisting it downward to block the attack at her leg, then up for the one at her waist at her left. With each hit, she felt herself give a little, unable to fully stand against his strength. Luckily, he was directing his attacks to focus on strength and neglecting speed, letting her catch his movements and recover quickly enough to block. But she had made guesswork at his strength as his attacks came, which allowed her to hold better when he got to her waist.
She was able to hold him there and quickly edged her saber under his and pushed up. In doing this she worked to push his blade up then back down as her right foot stepped to her left, bringing her left shoulder to face him. With this, she made her attack. Being on top of his blade, he would have to move incredibly fast to block in time as her blade moved up along the path of his arm and towards his shoulder.

My Lord, is there anything else you wish me to pass along to our companions? Malvus calmly looked from Makhai to Tyrana. Out of fatherly affection, the Sith gently touched the shoulder of his daughter, feeling at ease to know she was alright and looked after. After a long moment of silence, the Sith Lord would begin to move away from the two, pausing at the doorway that led out into the vacant hallway. There is nothing else to say now. You both are welcomed to enjoy the comforts of the Estate for as long as you wish. I must return to my apprentice and oversee her training for now. Tyrana, I ask that you behave while you are on Eriadu. Otherwise, we will catch up later.Without another word, the Sith departed the room and headed off to find his apprentice.

*Once again Luxeria placed herself in a position that put her inside the defense of his weapon. Even against a novice, trying to get his own saber up in time would take extremely fast reflexes, one's gained through application of the Force. But he wasn't stuck. He might not have been able to block with his weapon, but other options were available. In this case, he simply jumped back outside of her attack. Clear of her attack, he raised a hand to stop her. She had done well for the exercise and created an opening for herself to strike.*
"Very good, Luxeria. We shall end this lesson of Shii-Cho. Now that you have a better grasp of the basics and the form itself, you can better wield it in battle than simply relying on instinct and luck. Now we shall move on to the next form. Tell me, what have you been instructed on thus far in Form II?"

Luxeria watched as Gavin moved back to allow her blade to pass by without even a touch. Ready to move in once again, she came to a stop when he raised his hand. He had concluded the spar and gave his analysis on how she was doing. She took in his words, acknowledging him with simple nods. His statement confirmed what she was doing right and what to keep focusing on, whether to strength due to lacking or work to make something even better.
When asked about what she learned so far from Malvus on the form, she thought for a moment before responding. "Form II is a combat form that focuses on balance, using thrusts and light slashes as its main form of attack. It uses grace instead of strength. Fluidity, precision, and economy of motion are the processes used within this style. Two moves used is contentious opportunity and Makashi riposte." She let herself finish with those words as they were the majority of what she had learned thus far.

*Gavin nodded.* "That's right. Form II, or Makashi, is a form created for dueling. It's best used in one-on-one fights. While it can hold its own against multiple enemies, it takes lots of practice and skill. As you have stated, it revolved around grace, speed and balance. This creates the foundation of its thrust and light cuts." *Gavin turned his right shoulder to Luxeria and held his his saber with one hand and adjusted his grip. He twisted his wrist to her so he could see how he stood.* "While you can use two hands, and at times, you will find yourself in need of both, this form of combat is typically used with a single hand. Also, it is best to change the grip upon the hilt from simply holding to this. Let your thumb extend down the hilt. Doing this shifts will shift the other four fingers to move a tiny bit further down the hilt away from the thumb. This helps give you a greater balance of the saber in your hand. Along with this, standing with more of a side stance helps stabilize your body and keep your balance better. This also lets you move back and forth better while still keeping yourself in a good combat stance. Standing facing your opponent means you have to steps straight back and can open an opponent to catch your off balance if you use this form."
*He then let his saber rest at his side.* "The downfall of this form in utilizing this stance and the lighter cuts and thrusts is its lack of strength. Instead you use grace and fluid motions to make quick attacks. When used properly, you save energy and can fight longer." *He then moved up to her and stood at her side facing the same way. Standing side ways again, he held his saber up.* Take this stance, putting your right foot in front of you, just a little off from the center and do the same with your left behind you. What we are going to do is an exercise to help improve your balance. Without moving, let your body shift around as if you were in combat. Move forward, back ward and side to side, shifting your weight everywhere. Learn to find that center of balance, how to lean, and when to bend the knees so that you will have a stronger form that can't be so easily disrupted." *He then began to move as he told her, making it seem he was on a ship deck during a heavy storm, all the while keeping his feet planted.*

*Makhai looked about quickly, as he pondered the entirity of the situation. He had upset the Lord Malvus, but yet proposed the possibility of a trade deal. Tyrana had sexually assaulted him and verbally berated him and others. Yet somehow, this all felt like it was probably standard given the conditions. A thought which would take some getting used to.
Makhai silently turned back towards the ship and began walking. He had achieved well something, whether or not it was what he came for; he was unsure. Emerald eyes glanced back to see Tyrana's movements and discern her intent and what was next for her. Makhai did not want to take chance of his lineage being discovered and potentially making the situation worse, not yet. Perhaps that might be something the others could ease into if they felt it might be an issue or needed to be mentioned.
The ship was just up ahead, the YT freighter was still far from a home, but for Makhai at least it represented comfort in its safety and security that he knew it offered im. He cotinued on for the ship and would await Lady Tyrana there.*

Luxeria listened as he explained the form, most of what was said being what she knew and told him already. She guessed it was easier just to start from the beginning and explain it all again. There were somethings she didn't understand but had sorted out herself, such as they way he stood. What she hadn't figured out was the grip she should have on the hilt. Getting a good look, she changed her grip and felt how it changed. From there, she continued to listen. She gathered its weakness in strength as well as how the way one stood in it helped distribute her balance.
When he stepped beside her, she took the stance he instructed her to, curious as to what was for. She then moved as he did and immediately found what it was about. While it wasn't hard to stay balanced in whatever angle she took, she found herself a bit shaky when making the sudden moves from one side to another. If she could overcome this, she'd not only have better balance, but a better frame that was secure should an attack come that was meant to throw her off.
