He chuckled softly while making a curt gesture to Freya and Garma, indicating that it was time for them to move out. With what was left of the squad falling in behind them the three armoured figures headed back towards the center of the hive and the massive winding path that led back up towards the above-ground levels.
I may have had a hand in it, ner tat.
He held his blaster ready in is right hand while he swept his beskad free of its sheath with his left hand. A steely hiss accompanied the blade, its once-pristine surface marred by the foul blood of dozens of Geonosians.
I don't like not being able to make myself heard. I'm a grandiose attention-seeker at heart.
He paused at the bottom of the winding path that progressed up through the massive chamber, disappearing into the darkness above. With a sigh at the effort involved in ascending back to ground level, he waved the others forward before falling in behind them. Blaster fire sounded in the middle distance and he gripped his weapons tight as he tried to look in every direction at once.
Tell me you can now contact the Admiral. I've already spent more time here than I'd like. I forgot my insect repellent.

There was a slight silent pause from the commlink. On the other side of the line, the officer was busy coordinating with several other command officers & his direct superiors. Within fifteen seconds, the officer had gotten a lock on the Vhett comm signal, cleared it with his commanding officer, & located an outbound flight.
-Combat Director Yes sir, we have contact with him. I have a LAAT departing from nearby your location, Co-ordinates & directions have been uploaded to your comm. You will be meeting up with a pair of fire teams being extracted from a high profile mission. The LAAT will give you a lift up to the fleet, from there you will be able to meet up with the Admiral shortly.

Maraak nodded to himself as he hustled up the ramp behind the troopers, keeping his attention behind him to guard against pursuit. The amount of explosives and blasterfire ratting around, the echoing nature of these caverns making it impossible to judge distance, kept making him flinch and tense as he moved along, turning his jog into a strange stop-start gait.
You have a limmo standing by? Ha! Excellent...
He noted the coordinates, sending them to Garma and Freya with a deft flick of his wrist-mounted control.
Inform the Admiral that we'll be there.
He smiled slyly as they ascended another level.
Tell him that we'll discuss my fee for the services rendered too.
One more level to go. At least the shuttles departure would spare him making his way back up to the hangar where the Blastboat sat.

Once the last of the rather strange mix of people boarded the LAAT, it rose from the pitted surface of the tunnel & maneuvered its way back out into the open air of the Geonosian sky. Within half an hour of the last boot touching the ramp, the ship had risen up beyond the reaches of the planet's atmosphere, heading toward the Radiant Watcher.

Ogmios paced toward the War Room where the Archduke of Geonosis spent long days. What he did in there, was of little consequence to the Sith Lord for he was sent to this forsaken and unpleasant planet, on the outer rim of this sad and loathsome galaxy. But this was his master's bidding and, despite Ogmios being of outwardly advanced age, a formerly skilled Jedi Knight, he was still but a pupil in the Ways of the Sith.

Divisions of Droid infantry secure the Stalgasin hive and the foundries, restoring a usurped Archduke (loyal to Krennel's aims) to power.
Ooc: I'll make this takeover prettier, but I'm at work, atm.

Admiral Krennel Gulch himself stalked through the levels of the Stalgasin Hive, which were crawling with droids and Geonosians alike. Gulch himself currently occupied rooms at the very top of the massive hive, next to the old war room and to the chambers of the Archduke himself. Refitted was the old war room, and it was here the officers of Krennel's forces assembled, debating various strategies and organizing the ever constant needs for fuel, ammunition and minerals.
Below the Hive, on the plains and in the vales of Geonosis, thousands of droids were on patrol, but it was further below still that held captive the true interest of Geonosis. For further below still were the Great Foundries that once kept the Separtist war machine rumbling. On the surface, some ten clicks out from the Stalgasin hive, the great metal hangers and bays that once housed the mighty Confederate Navy were being serviced. Geonosians swarmed the huge mechanisms for the great doors, working with their tools to restore that which had been neglected for generations.
Below those great doors lay an even greater sight, for it was here the reserves of the Separtist Fleet had been kept. Dozens of Munificents lay in their berths, being tended to by swarms of Geonosian technicians as they prepared them to return to the sky. Hundreds of corvettes lay in bays, and fighters by the thousand, along with battle droids by the hundreds of thousands, were all waiting in the old hangars, so forgotten that the tunnels to them had collapsed and the hanger doors had been covered by half a million tons of rock and sand before the arrival of Gulch.

The Consular Class Cruiser broke away from the other ships along with two fighters. After the other ships went into a holding pattern, his comms officer began to speak. “This is the Supreme Leader of Umbara wishing to speak with Admiral Gulch. Do we have permission to land?”

The Umbarans are given leave to land, and are escorted to Gulch and his various retinue by a unit of Magna guards - an honour more than a precaution. The Supreme Leader is brought before the old Harch, who rises to greet him, clicking curiously.
"It is an honour, tell me, what can I do to help you?"

Mee knit his fingers together in a way that made him seem very manipulative. In truth, he was extremely deceptive, like most of the upper class in his species, but he wasn’t about to let that show. “I am here to join your cause... I believe it is time for a new order in the galaxy.”

"Excellent. In that case, you will need to sign the Serenno Accord - a formal alliance. Between each of our worlds.
Do you bring any worlds with you, Umbaran?"

"Excellent. Hypori has industry to rival even Geonosis. In the interests of our alliance, I can give you the blueprints to many of our weapons. We have a great basis for power now, Our expansion must continue into Ison, Bespin and Lothal.
Our power grow - soon we wil be a force to be contended with in this galaxy.

A shuttle descends upon the planet of Geonosis, transported to the Outer Rim onboard a Nebula-class Star Destroyer. The shuttle bore the markings of the Galactic Alliance, a delegation sent to this world and led by the Senator of Fondor, Graemon Gorgano. He had been made aware of an alliance of worlds, led by a certain Krennel Gulch, desired to join the Galactic Alliance formally. In response, a team of diplomats was sent, accordingly, to open negotiations. Hopefully, this would prove to be a worthwhile investment of time.
He peers out a viewport, gazing out at the barren landscape of the planet in question. His ears catch the pilot noting that they had been given clearance to land at Stalgasin Hive. The ship veered off, landing at the designated hangar bay. As Graemon stepped out of the shuttle with other delegates, his eyes suddenly caught sight of battle droids. They were practically everywhere. He spies a commanding officer model, an easy denoation of color indicating its rank.
Excuse me, Commander. Where might I find Krennel Gulch? I am Graemon Gorgano, Senator of Fondor and appointed representative of the Galactic Alliance, sent to speak with Mr. Gulch by his request to join our nation.

The Droid Commander almost seemed glad of being shown some respect - the OOM and B1 Battle Droids had always shown the odd effect of nearly having personalities. The Trade Federation had hated it, but Gulch found it rather endearing.
"That would be Admiral Gulch, sir, he's awaiting your arrival in the Western hangers. We're your escorted."
The Droid gestured to a platoon of red marked security Droids, in formation. Without further delay, the Galactic Alliance embassy was escorted through the lower reaches of the Stalgasin hive, not to the great war room in the upper levels, but to the great mono rail tracks that led to the massive underground hangers for warships.
After a short journey, the embassy would be greeted by the incredible sight of the New Confederacy Military Reserves. Thousands of Droids, tanks, artillery and other such armaments were lined in deactivated to rows in separate warehouses, while in the hangers, beneath the great metal doors, sat rows of warships. The place obviously went on for miles, and it was filled with refurbished and upgraded ships, munitions, Droids and vehicles. Other monorail tracks led into the massive station, surrounded by Geonosian tunnels, and materials were being shipped in and out by bustling crowds if Geonosians.
Gulch himself was in the observatory, a construction of steel and glass built into the roof of this area that was designed to watch over the entire activities of the massive underground region. The Old Harch Admiral was big, as his kind tended to be, though he was hunched with age.
Krennel Gulch was handsome by the standards if his people, but hideous by the standards of everyone else's. His once sleek black fur had gone a pale purple, and his left arms and the left side of his face were cybernetic. He clicked in greeting as Graemon arrived.
"Ambassador, I am glad the Galactic Alliance has sent an embassy, we have much to discuss."

Graemon could tell that this was not a usual route but conveniently placed for the Galactic Alliance delegates to see. The Fondorian glances at what was displayed, noticing the designs that rested within this vast underground storage. He turns away a moment later, considering that this was done to show the obvious benefits of this concordance of worlds joining the Galactic Alliance. The question was what was the price of these negotiations for the vast military resources.
Graemon enters the room where the Harch was present, joined by several other delegates and aides who had been assigned to his person. Not the first time he had seen their species, at least it wasn't something like a Hutt.
Admiral Gulch, I am Graemon Gorgano, the Senator of Fondor. I have been told of your request for a delegation from the Galactic Alliance to join us, but nothing on the details beyond that. I would like to know as much as possible before making offers.
First part, inquiries, thought the Fondorian.
Tell me about this alliance of worlds that you represent. And beyond the military equipment you have, what else you plan to offer to the Galactic Alliance as a part of your merging with the nation.

Gulch chattered with amusement.
"There are seven worlds under my influence. Geonosis, Utapau, Bespin, Malastare, Contruum, Lothal and Mustafar.
Each of these worlds presents a giant in some form of industry. Be it factories, mines, shipyards or the priceless gas plants where they extract Tibbana.
Each of these worlds is priceless for a war effort - which you are currently embroiled in.
Aside from worlds, armies and resources, I bring military experience, should I be given a command. You gain, in a merger with us, the total defense of the Ison corridor and an additional fleet if it should find itself in need of defense.
But most of all, the most valuable things I have to offer are the great boost to your economy, and schematics. "
A Droid handed Gulch two holodiscs, and Gulch say them both side by side and activated them. What flickered past were plans, mostly on how to construct updated Separatist Ships, some detailed the construction of the Super Tank and the Defoliator, but most important of all were the schematics for the two variants of the Subjugator class Heavy Cruiser.
"Are you interested, Ambassador?"

The Fondorian overlooks the military assets for now, given the Galactic Alliance's own standing military. What was important to the future of the Alliance were economical and material resources to help fuel the economy. In light of the Galactic Republic's fall, the economy, across the galaxy, had been hit badly. The First Order had a stable one, thanks to their total control over those resources. The Galactic Alliance, on the other hand, was still forming theirs to ensure its potential was ready for their usage.
Graemon pans through the data. Seven worlds in total, all of which were economically rich with resources that the Galactic Alliance could always use. As he finished his survey of the data, a question came to mind.
I would not be here if the Galactic Alliance wasn't interested, Admiral Gulch. You have quite the resources at your disposal, of which the Alliance would welcome to their cause. It would strengthen our hold within the Southern Quadrant of the galaxy, of which we have long had plans of doing so. The question is, though, what do you want out of this?
There was always two sides here, it would be hard to believe that this Harch Admiral would gladly give this all to the Galactic Alliance for free. There had to be an agenda of some reward or compromise that ensured it helped him in exchange.

"Appointment to Fleet Admiral, to start with. I desire that contracts for the Navy and Army be given to Gulch Military Industries.
I wish for a series of exemptions for GMI and the various other corporations that make up this conglomeration and its government.
I wish for a guarantee of military installations and fortifications in this region of space. Additionally, I wish to be appointed overall Commander of this theatre of space.
I wish for experienced personnel to be placed under my command, to form a regional Military Academy - that the sentient officers under my command may be properly trained.
I wish to be a member of the Senate - along with my Senators. And I wish for there to be a Jedi enclave established in this region.
Ultimately, I desire this Sector to be a second core region for the Alliance, and to this purpose, in event of a catastrophe, Geonosis will be the secondary capital if the Galactic Alliance. The infrastructure for it to be so is already here. There is every facet required for it to be so. "

Heavy terms... heavier than what was being offered, thought Graemon as he listens to what Gulch desired in return for their entry into the Galactic Alliance. His mind already wiped clean almost half of the list, of which were not agreeable to the Galactic Alliance's interest all. But rather the personal pocket of Gulch. The list presented made the Fondorian remember a lesson in Galactic History, about the Trade Federation. How this list mirrored them. The Galactic Alliance will accept the following terms... an Admiral Commission into the Galactic Alliance Navy with command over this sector and a military academy established as a result. Membership for your worlds, with you representing Geonosis, into the Galactic Alliance Senate. Some military contracts allowed through the Gulch Military Industry and exemptions for the GMI, of which will be negotiated at a later time. And finally, permission to build fortifications throughout your systems.Graemon pauses, recalling another thought in mind.As for a Jedi Enclave, that is up to the Jedi Order and it does not involve the Galactic Alliance government. On the other matters, Graemon remained silent. Geonosis as a secondary capital of the Galactic Alliance was absurd... it was a backwater world, barren and with little potential in strategic value beyond droid production. If anything, that role was set upon the Jedi Order's HQ of Felucia or the core world of Corellia. If this agreeable, I will present this notion at the next session in Senate. I doubt it will be too hard to pass through.
