Since the fall of the Temple on Contruum Zed had drifted from planet to planet. It wasn't hard to drift when you were practicly invisible in large crowds, you just slipped onto a shuttle and went with it. In the months or maybe years since the fall and Zed hadn't paid attention until he had paid attention to a call on the holonet while hoping from planet to planet. This deceleration of a new state in the Southern Outer Rims. It was perfect. It got him out of the First Order and Republic. He hoped others had heard that call and that they would come.
The planet itself did not suit him though. It was dry, hot and dusty. The only thing going for it was that the gravity here was weak and everyone who came to the planet and the new capitol felt stronger and invigorated. Zed had not been present on the planet for the speech but in all that time he had seen it replayed several times. Not only that but since being on the planet he had fallen back into himself and just wandered through the streets.

Zed sat cross legged in the center of a rented room. It was easy to find funds from people when they didn't even see you lifting the money from their pockets. The room itself was bare bones. I bet in one corner, with a dresser adjacent and a holovid on top that had three channels. At the foot of the bed lay Zeds meager possessions. His pack containing the Scout Trooper armour, a staff and his lightsaber. The only thing he had with him left from his time spent with the Jensaarai.
His thoughts drawn inwards he tried to find peace. Blocking out the noise of the bustling shanty city that had sprung up over the past weeks and months he pushed himself beyond the shouting and the hum. As he sunk deeper and deeper into his own mind the room and everything else disappeared. As he did so the scant objects in the room started to rise. Slowly at first and only a few inches. As the time went on they started to spin around him. None of this mattered to him though. He was only minimally aware of the drain on the force. Suddenly the lightsaber in his pack ignighted and flew in front of him and he opened his eyes staring unblinkingly into the blue blade.
For a long while all he saw was blue. Then white. Then darkness. Even after feeling himself blink, his eyes getting the much needed moisture he still saw blackness. Suddenly came a scream from the darkness. It wasn't coming from outside but within. Something in his mind was screaming out. It had been doing as such since that time on Contruum years ago. Inside the blade he saw the blaster fire coming from the treeline and the Jensaarai initiates being shot down as they tried to mount a defense. The temple awash with flames that were slowly spreading to the tree line. His will reached out to the security forces trying to mount a defense, attempting the block out their fears and doubts only to feel them rise as they died.
This single event dominated his vision. Its not like it had been replaying in his mind over and over again, this was different though. He felt like he was back there. He remembered how they all felt as the temple burned. That fear.
Suddenly he could see again as the laser burned close to his face. Sweat beaded down his body as the few items in his room thunked back down. The person below his room hammered on the roof and a muffled shout was heard
Shut the fuck up!
Ignoring the shout Zed walked over to the window. He had been at it for a few hours and the sun had set. The artificial lights struggled to pierce the sandstorm outside. He wasn't concerned though. Depressing a button on a transponder that had floated out of his bag it sent a message into the stars. A message asking for any surviving Jensaarai or those who wished to follow their order to come to Geonosis.

Wyt looked down at his waist. Attached to his tunic was the standard belt that all Jedi wear, and in one of the many pockets his comlink was beeping incessantly. The Nautolan frowned; he knew that it didn't have the power to receive messages from off world, so this was someone on Geonosis. He fumbled with it and activated the reception, and a message was received.
Wyt frowned again, even deeper this time. "What's a Jensaarai?" he asked, elbowing the droid escorting him around. "Why are they here?"
He decided to send an acknowledgement to the sender, with a little note asking those very questions. Maybe he would learn something after all, and impress his master - the Jedi Historian would learn something new from Wyt when he arrived!

Not a few minutes after sending the message out a ping was heard on his datapad. Someone had heard it, someone locally too. For a moment he allowed his hopes to get up. Someone who had been with him on Contruum had also come to Geonosis. However that excitement shrank back a little as it came from an unknown person. Looking at the two questions he lowered his eyes to the floor slightly. It was someone interested but no one he knew. Still a hopefull was better than nothing. Zed spent a few minutes typing the message before pressing the send.
The Jensaarai are a Force sect that meets in the middle of all teachings. We are seekers of knowledge, both ancient and new, Jedi and Sith. In order o know the secrets of the force one must learn the secrets that they hide from themselves. We are here to refound an order that has survived since the Clone Wars in some form or another. The duty now falls onto me to ensure our order can flourish and help preserve peace and prosperity in the galaxy.
He felt the sent message was kind of preachy, but was that not the point. Is he not the one calling force users to restart an order of religious practices. Still, he hoped this person would bite. Attached to the message was a location and time to meet. It was a small diner that had sprung up. Supposedly it had some of the best burgers in the city, and should the person be interested they could meet him there in a few days time. He also sent all pertinent data regarding the galactic knowledge of the Jensaarai.

Wyt stopped walking when he received another message. It was tagged with a fair amount of information that would take the young Jedi a bit to sift through, and he did not have the experience or mind to understand truly what the Jensaarai gave the universe. The opportunity to walk in neither the Light nor the Dark; to discover more about the Force than he could learn with the Jedi, and look for a way to bring balance. The Jensaarai offered everything that Wyt, Picas and Karrus had set out to find. The young Nautolan didn't know the true value of what he had stumbled upon.
"Droid, look! Where is this place?"
The young Jedi shoved coordinates from his comlink into the droid's field of vision. Photoreceptors blinked once as it memorised the information before it, before pulling up a map on Wyt's personal datapad. It marked the location for him, adding a timestamp that Wyt had missed. Good, he still had a few days, and it wasn't too far a walk from the section of the hive that Wyt found himself in. He sent a polite acknowledgement confirming he would attend. He wondered what the big spider would say?

The HoloNet News flashes on, once again cutting off its usual schedule. ”We interrupt our usual schedule to bring you this breaking news.
In an action declared illegal by both the Military Executive and the Courts, the Civil Executive has voted - without proper quorum - to declare Consul Gulch an enemy of the state and to demand his immediate arrest.
Reacting swiftly, Consul Gulch has ordered the activation of the various Urban Shields on Geonosis, and has ordered the launch of Admiral Tonith’s fleet from its berths in the Stalgasin drydocks. Already divisions of battle droids are being ferried into space, though the 1st Division of the Consular Guard remains at their stations around the city.
Tensions have peaked, and war seems inevitable, but it is impossible to know who will win. This was a special report brought to you by the HoloNews Network. Thank and goodnight.”

As the announcement came on through the holonet Zed watched rapturously. Maybe it wasn't the best idea to summon the Jensaarai to this planet when this sort of civil unrest was starting. He did not know enough about the command structure to know who was in the right here. No matter who was in the right this city was about to become a battle ground if tensions did not ease.

Zed awoke to the sound of an alarm. At first he thought there was an attack, then as the sleep left his brain he remembered that he had set it the night before. This was the first time having one in a long. LONG time. This was the day he had sent out into the annals of space his hope to reform the Jensaarai. Hopefully it was enough time to have at least some of the hopeful personnel arrive for him to speak to. He wished that he had a proper suit of armour, after all this was about making an impression. Instead he wore his simple robes, not that dissimilar to the Jedi robes. Strapping on his lightsaber Zed headed down into the street.
Outside was more subdued than usual. Between the announcement of the branding Gulch a traitor and the fear that violence would erupt at any moment most people preferred to stay inside. Zed made his way to the burger shop, the only seemingly busy place in the city. Sitting down in a corner of it he ordered his food and ate while waiting to see, hoping that someone would show up.

Today was the day. The droid's nifty timestamp that it had entered in Wyt's datapad woke him from his sleep. Though most of the interior of the hive was bare rock, the Nautolan's bed was comfortable and he arose groggily, rubbing his eyes with clenched fists to banish the remnants of sleep away.
Being a Jedi he only had one change of clothes, and quickly set about readying himself for this 'meeting'. Tightening his belt and hooking his lightsaber at his hip, the young Jedi meandered around the wondering insectoid creatures that called the planet home. There were a myriad of other beings, sure, but the majority had wings.
Wyt had memorised the journey he would need to take the night before. His master, Picas, had always said that preparedness is the best defense a Jedi can have. It therefore didn't take him long to reach the restaurant, and it equally didn't take him long to pick out the person he was meant to be meeting. Though not quite the same, his robes were Jedi-like enough that he stuck out just as much as Wyt's long head tentacles did. Though the planet was dryer than Wyt was used to, being an amphibian, there wasn't too much discomfort and he planted himself right in front of the man enjoying what seemed like a Nerf Burger.
"Is that nice?"
Wyt hadn't eaten since yesterday morning.

Mid bight Zed watched the cloaked figure approach him. The force seemed to radiate from him unlike the others. His race had a natural inclination to sensing the Force in someone. It might have something to do with the fact that his race were able to absorb the Force around him. It would satiate him. However nothing beat the taste of a good Bantha Burger.
Aye, would you like one? You were the one who was already on the planet?
As he spoke Zed shifted in his seat. He had purposely chosen a group of seats that had room for up to a dozen people. Or species of other types. As Wyt spoke he seemed to pull his hood over his head deeper. The room was not particularly crowded today which was working in his favour. Had it been there was a chance he would not have been seen.

Another figure came in, dressed in the manner of an Aqualish noble, and openly wearing a lightsaber on his belt. The four beady eyes took in the room, and eventually settled upon the only source of the Force on this room - Zed and Wyt.
Slowly the creature approached - his species were genetic cousins to the Harch, and were thus Arachnid in look. The two fangs covering Rae Daro's mouth twitched slightly as he surveyed the two Force Users.

Wyt nodded enthusiastically and his head tentacles bounced along with the movement. He sat and looked expectantly at a waiter droid, and just as enthusiastically chomped down on the food that was brought.
"I am. My name's Wyt, I'm an apprentice to a Historian on Dantooine. he should be arriving soon. So, tell me, what is with this 'Jensaarai'? What is it you want?"
Wyt did not see the spider-like being approach. Though not as akin to a spider as the Harch was, Wyt's irrational phobia would not see the distinction and he yelped when its presence became known. He scooped up some food that had involuntarily left his mouth when he yelped, and looked sheepish. "I'm sorry," he said politely. "Force of habit."

Two. Two had answered his call. Zed was almost let down. The second one another non human like himself. It seems that this confederacy was becoming more and more non human which was good. Between the First Order and the various Republics it seemed like the Humans of the galaxy held all the power. Nodding his head at the Aqualish as he approached the table he took another bite and listened to Wyt.
Its a pleasure Wyt. The Jensaarai are an order of Force users w-Before he could finish he watched the man yelp. . We are not Jedi or Sith, or Imperial Knights or any other sect. No knowledge is taboo, we aren't formal or bodyguards. We seek knowledge both public and hidden.
What didn't he want?
I want to reform my order. We were decimated by the Mandalorian Crusade and scattered into the wind. Our Saarai-kaar and our Saarai'ari hunted and presumably killed the rest of us fought valliantly but could not defend our temple against the Mandalorian juggernaut.
Although Zed had the briefest knowledge of the ancient Sith Language he realized that not everyone would but he just continued on.
I want a place to rebuild, a safe place. A place to learn, grow and teach. I want to help those in the Galaxy in any way I can.

Strange then that the force should tug at Zed so. A pull, more so a calling, strange that he be called to in the force by another, perhaps not strange in itself, but usually only such a strong bond through the force was formed by bloodline or by a master and an apprentice.
Images would flash and be emblazoned upon Zed's mind, a youth, a hovel, a scream, then nothing more.

Wyt processed this. Picas and Karrus had always told him they were given to service; that they should in all things bring balance to the Force. This posed a existential problem to Wyt who, though young, had enough experience to understand that you cannot be on one side of a divide and bring balance to the two opposing forces. You needed to be somewhere in the middle. Was this what the Jensaarai were? He couldn't wait to tell Picas.
"So you were part of the Jensaarai before? What is the Saar, erm, those two things you just said. What are they?"
Wyt was enamoured. He may have found his true calling, and he was excited.

Zed opened his mouth about to speak when he felt the connection open between him and someone else. Someone he had never met and someone that seemed to be in a struggle. Almost like a vision he could see some sort of young man, skinny to the point of gaunt. For a moment he felt that this man or boy could be another like him, a Shifter but there is a difference between him and the youth. This was something he would have to think about, explore and hopefully find out what it meant.
He realised it had been a few moments since Wyt had asked him what those words meant and he shook his head before trying again.
Those are honourifics we gave our Master of the Order and Masters. We do not fear any knowledge including ancient Sith teachings. Those words are from their language. Literally translated they mean Keeper of the Truth and Lord of Truth respectively as they are the ones who help others find the truths both about the Force, themselves, or anything else they may be wanting to learn.
Having forgotten the first question he nodded.
Yes I was part of the Jensaarai before. A brilliant man Garwig Gil Gam'esh brought us together on Contruum, he and Anven Firestar modernized them... us and helped bring us into the galactic affairs. It was part of our undoing but the political climate of the galaxy is different than it was then. No Mandalorians are trying to hunt all of our kind down. Despite himself he chuckled. Not only that but we aren't on a planet that is unaligned with some galactic force. It would be a bad time to invade the core of this rising power.

Wyt, not actively using his senses and all too preoccupied with the food before him, felt nothing from the Force. He listened attentively. "I'm not entirely sure that I'm okay with Sith teachings, though? Why would someone want to know evil knowledge?" He seemed to daydream for a moment. He had heard stories of Contruum and was imagining what it would have been like to be there. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. "What was it like on Contruum?"
Wyt was far too young to remember the purge the Mandalorians unleashed upon the galaxy. He cocked his head to the side in confusion as Zed explained, indicating he had never heard of the conflict and wanted to know more.

It seemed that Zed was about to become a teacher and as such he folded his fingers.
What is evil but a word and the actions of sentient beings. There is no evil knowledge, Let me use the Force as an example; you can learn various forms of telekinesis to lift objects and move them with your mind. What is the difference between moving an object and choking a person? Your moral compass. As long as you know the difference between right and wrong this knowledge is not good or bad and all knowledge is like this.
It was a gross oversimplification of everything but it is true. Knowledge is the key to understanding and if you are stiffed in your learning you find it difficult to grow as a person. You stagnate and end up like the Jedi of old.
What was Contuum like? It was better than this dusty rock, it was a tropical paradise with plenty of forests and farms but just as many lakes and oceans. It was beautiful. I loved it when both moons were out and full, they would shimmer off the lake in the distance and make it look like there were four. The Temple there was amazing, it belonged to some long forgotten Sith whose name was lost to history. Inside there was the most beautiful grotto. Now though it is nothing but a burned out husk. When Asharah declared his holy war against all Force Users they hit the Jedi first but a smaller group attacked our temple.
His voice grew darker and for a second if one felt it, it felt like he was exuding cold. There was a forest around the Temple and I can still feel the heat radiating off them as they burned. They attacked at night and slaughtered most everyone. There was a valiant defense but we and indeed the whole galaxy were totally unprepared for the attack. I wish I had been there when the Sith Empire had stopped their advance at Kuat.
Although he had been drifting at that point. Using his natural ability to just survive he had learned of how the Jedi, Sith and Imperial Knights had all worked together to stop the assault. After their defeat over the Shipyards of Kuat their back was broken. It was nothing for the combined might of the Republic and the Empire to mop up the rest of them.
Now with First Order on the rise and the Galactic Alliance flagging we need something to stand in check of them. To make sure they don't burn other peoples homes. To ensure that no more knowledge is lost.

The Redeemer sat down in one of the hangar bays, Viktor walked down the ship's ramp with Dalton, Kurr and Karr right behind him. Viktor turned around and spoke to his companions.
"I will go and meet with the other members of the Jensaarai, I will be back shortly."
Dalton and the others nodded as Viktor walked away from the ship and headed into the city. Viktor turned his head slightly to see what Dalton and the others were doing, he could see Dalton giving them orders then they headed off in another direction. Turning his head back forward Viktor continued to make his way through the busy city. Viktor could sense the presence of several force users that seemed to be gathering in one place, with any luck if Viktor followed the presences he would find the one who called for those interested in joining the Jensaarai at that location.

Wyt nodded as this was explained. He was young and impressionable, but he was also a Jedi and knew something made sense when he heard it. "So knowledge is neutral, and it's how we direct that knowledge that gives it its alignment?"
This new-found freedom felt odd to the Nautolan, who had only ever tempered his actions and emotions due to Jedi training.
He became angry and the Mandalorians for their persecution of Force Users. "What about - no. There is no passion, there is serenity."
He had been thinking about revenge. That definitely was not the Jedi way. But was it the Jensaarai way? "Perhaps it is our duty, our destiny, to ensure this knowledge survives."
Wyt nodded to himself. He had made up his mind, regardless of what Picas would say - though he did think that Picas would agree, too. When would he get to Geonosis, anyway? "Where do I sign up?"
