Valefor was much too focused on holding off the Orge and his mechanical limbs to really pay attention to what ever it was Astera was getting up to. He was notionally aware of the sound of a machine gun firing and the dull sound of bullets embedding themselves into ice. However he had a bad feeling as soon he felt the Ice Queen's form at his back. He reached up and grabbed one of the mechanical claws with his gloved hand as it tried to reach around and get at Astera Na-uh big guy... He growled with frustration as he forced the limb backwards, servo motors squealed and smoke as they were forced to work against their intended direction. He kept throwing punches into the Ogre's rib cage until he felt the massive frame start to jerk as the organ gun came swinging across the width of the hallway. The beast had been quite heavy and bulky to try and stop before, but Valefor strained beneath the dead bulk as the ogre slumped dead Fuck... He stamped his hoofs down, bracing himself as he send a burst of Telekinetic Force Energy into the corpse, causing the torso to flop backwards and onto the ground. The Superbia Stone glowed a sapphiric blue as a Spear of Midnight black formed in the Forge Masters right hand before subsequently being thrust through the Ranat Ogre's skull. He quickly braced his left hand against the wall as the world tilted in that direction Yes, I suspect his talk of this having internal balloons to keep it afloat was a pretty bold faced lie... You can have first and second dibs on dealing with him once we get out of this... Valefor adjusted his own stance and splayed out his left hand, causing the purple brilliance of the Avaritia Stone to shine as it pulled in what ever energy it could from the dying and dead corpses. Solari offered up some souls it had captured in the early days of the Forge Masters hunt for the Eternus Stones, sensing well its Masters intention. As the Stones glow died down, Valefor pressed on down the hallway with Astera at his side. As they climbed through the doorway, the emerald brilliance of the Invidia Stone bathed the room as Valefor focused upon the magnetic field that was keeping the door closed and reversed its polarity. The door was about to shoot open, where the door/doors ended up going was unclear: perhaps upward through the door, out to the sides in either direction, or perhaps they would be propelled inward toward the Bridge. Valefor was done playing Brassclaws games BRASSCLAW!

Ripped out of its frame by the reversed magnetic polarization, the blast door flung across the chamber, then abruptly came to a stop as it struck an immovable force. The six inch thick slab of ultra-chrome toppled over onto the deck with a hard thud, revealing the verminous armoured form behind it that had arrested its movement. There, standing above two trenches of labouring mice that were operating the Doom-Balloon's vital systems, was none other than the Chief Warlock Enginseer himself, Skaltera Brassclaw. Gone was his rotund and short statured previous form, enhanced by a powered suit of alchemical bronze, standing a head taller than even Valefor's prestigious height and nearly double his width. Thick brass hued and riveted armour plate covered the Verminlord from snout to paw, hissing pungent steam from hydraulic powered joints that shook the deck as he stepped forwards, trailing a long cloak of flayed human skin that was sutured together from several different sources to form a mismatched tapestry or rainbow of human hide that hung from his shoulders. At the end of a long mechanical right arm that looked as though it had been pried off a Phase III Darktrooper, was a massive vice like claw with thick triangular teeth that looked as though it could wrap around the Demon Lord's broad torso when fully extended. Blue forks of electrical current danced across the claws surface, crackling angrily like a tesla coil. The Verminlord's left arm ended in an odd collection of weapon barrels, ranging from flame spouts to arc casters, plasma shell spewing assault muzzles and flesh immolating blaster cannons. Even at a distance the ends of those barrels could be seen spewing smoke and glowing blue with broiling plasma churning in its containment housing.
Slipping loose from the power armoured rodent's trailing cape was a nine foot long vibro-whip in place of a tail, though the sinister Enginseer seemed able to manipulate it as easily as his original appendage, cracking its bladed tip on the deck that sent a shower of sparks skating across the floor almost up to Astera and Valefor's feet. Two rectangular blocks mounted atop either of Skaltera's shoulders retracted circular coverings, exposing themselves as the missile racks they were, each loaded with three dummy rockets. Everything flesh and fur of the vengeful Enginseer's original form was encased behind polished bronze, even his verminous visage, which remained locked in a snarling snout with two sickly glowing green eyes. Sorcerous runes of protection stolen from the Far Squeaker Enclave were claw scratched into each armour segment, exuding a palpable oppressive aura despite Skaltera lacking true Force sensitivity. "Heh Heh Heh Heh!" Cackled the static distorted voice of Skaltera through speakers built into the grill of his helmet's respirator, which was fed by two ribbed hoses that slipped down beneath an armoured gorget that encircled the Verminlord's throat. His evil laughter caused clouds of Famine's Breath to vent from his respirator grill, veiling his armoured face in toxic fumes, that sizzled and popped as it came into contact with the six razor whiskers jutting from the sides of his bronze snout.
"I've been waiting for this moment, Valefor." Boomed the verminous voice of Skaltera at full volume, snarling the Demon Lord's name with all the due hate it deserved. "And what's this? You brought a friend to watch you die? How sweet."
"That bastard." Muttered the Director under her breath as she stood next to the Fabricator General, pulling the cylindrical hilt of her lightsaber from her belt into her gloved palm with a telekinetic tug. SNAP/HISS! An ice blue blade sprang from the weapons emitter, cold as the void and as unforgiving as a winter storm. She held it vertical in a two handed grip, the leather of her gloves groaning as she gripped it tightly. With her frigid blue eyes focused on Skaltera, she spoke to Valefor, sharing her epiphany. "That rat's made some hideous and downright insulting modifications to my work, but I recognize one of my designs anywhere. He must have stolen my blueprints. Be careful, Valefor, that suit has a..."
Before the Director could complete her explanation, she disappeared behind a wall of flame projected from one of the nozzles on the armoured Enginseer's left arm, swallowing all sight of her within its fiery curtain. As for Valefor, he didn't let his Arch-Nemesis off any easier. A dumb rocket blasted out of either shoulder mounted missile rack, rapidly propelled in two straight lines towards the Demon Lord on cones of alchemical flame.

As Valefor set eyes upon the alchemical bronze power suit standing before him, he knew for sure that he should have cut the Ranat's life short back upon Kessel. Sparing Skaltera's life that day had been a mistake. But it was a mistake he was now here to rectify. There would be no quarter given, even if Dragus intervened and ordered the Enginseer's life spared. The Rapacious Reptilian would mourn for a moment, but could easily get over such a loss I was about to say the same thing... I see you've brought your whole clan to watch your execution! As the jets of flame engulfed Astera, Valefor held no concern for her safety. She was called the Ice Queen and with good reason. No heat or flame would lick her skin. Instead, Valefor had his focus and concern entirely upon the armoured Ranat, his right hand rising up to reach out with the Force and grab hold of the pair of rockets that Skaltera had tried to fire at him. He glared with a dark side fuelled rage as he held the rockets in place, even as the alchemical fuel tried to propel them forward. He slowly twisted his hand, causing the rockets to turn about in the air until they were facing back upon their origin point. It was then that the Demon Lord let loose the rockets.
Even if they had some fail safe in them to not blow up within a certain proximity to the suit, it gave Valefor enough time to turn his focus and hatred upon the crew that were working in the control pits. The Iracundia Stone shone a deep crimson glow, bathing everything within the room in its light. Whatever protections the suit might have, the crew did not. Valefor reached into their minds with his gloved metal fist. Dragus might have been taking the long route toward crashing this balloon, but Valefor was going to speed that process up. He commanded the Ranat Crew members to nose dive the entire ship into the floor of the Arena. Once that course was set in, they were to take their own lives - for the glory of He-Who-Hungers naturally. Perhaps it would give Astera enough of a chance to tell him what danger of this suit he needed to be careful about

Beneath their feet the floor began to tilt on its axis, as the collective overridden psyche of the rodents at the controls fell victim to the Demon Lord's feat of mental manipulation, adjusting the ballast and driving the nose of the Doom-Balloon into a downwards dive aimed for the arena floor. As the dumb rockets were redirected back towards Skaltera, the megalomaniacal mouse sent a wireless signal to the spent ordnance, detonating them before they reached him. The kinetic force of the resulting blast caused his metallic boots to slide across the deck, further assisted by gravity as the floor began to slope downwards behind him, spitting sparks across the ground until the Chief activated the high powered magnets in the soles of his feet and clamped his power armour to the deck. Metal shrapnel pinged off his chest plate and helmet harmlessly, his protective sheath of alchemically enhanced bronze inured to the heat of the resulting conflagration. "Heh Heh Heh!" His static laced voice-box boomed. "Is that the best you got?"Ignoring the collision course of his devious invention as the ground loomed larger in the view port behind him, the Warlock Enginseer raised its multi-barrelled left arm and let loose with an emerald cascade of alchemical fire projected from the flame cannon built into the arm assembly, bathing the deck between them in a liquid inferno. Clouds of black smoke rolled off the resulting blaze, an acrid choking cloud of toxic carcinogens.
BELCH! A pungent eruption of stomach gas escaped the Dark Apothecary's maw upon consuming his thirtieth celegian, as the appropriately titled Hungering One did his best to quite literally eat his way through the Doom-Balloon's buoyancy, speeding up their deadly ascent as the monstrous dread weapon of Clan Rustrot continued ever downwards. By Dragus' calculation, they had about sixty seconds before they crashed. "Alright." He hissed, patting his overstuffed belly with a claw. "Perhapz one more..." The barabel dragged a forked tongue across his lips. Meanwhile, the crowned king of Hypori had been correct in his assertion that Astera could take care of herself. The dastardly rat's initial attack had thrown her across the bridge and it had been all she could do to shield herself at the last minute, releasing hold of her rapidly erected Force barrier the moment the flames had abided. Her frigidly beautiful face was frozen in a mask of rage, as she brushed black soot from her arms and put out the burning ends of her winter white hair. She tried to shout to Valefor, to warm him about the self-destruct device built into the power generator housed on the back of the Warlock's stolen suit of armour. It was Kaibur tech stolen from the First Order, still in its experimental stages, highly unstable. If they were anywhere close to it when the core detonated, it would be the end of all of them, along with the Grand Arena and most of the surrounding hive stacks. She cupped her mouth and tried to shout. "Valef..." But before she could finish, the spreading flames set off a fuel line in the ceiling, detonating as a small explosion that sent debris raining down from above, cutting the Council woman off from the Fabricator General and his Arch-Nemesis on the other side.

With their crash course set in and the crew taking their lives to prevent reversal of that course, Valefor turned his focus back to Skaltera and smiled I'm only just getting started... As the deck beneath them tiled and began its nose dive, Valefor jumped and swung himself into the crew pit, providing him a shelf to stand on as the bridge exploded into chaos. Fire was belched forth and fuel lines caught alight and exploded. What ever information that Astera might have provided was now going to be impossible to communicate. No matter, he would just have to deal with what ever this problem was once he was done taking Skaltera down. He pushed himself off the ledge and spread his wings as he launched himself through the air, passing through the alchemical flame and tackling the giant suit. He reached for the suit helmet and tore at it, trying to find some leverage to open it up or tear it off
