Utilizing a prominent looking chamber within the Fanged Acropolis, within one of its immense towers, the Praetor's Circle serves as the highest authority within the Conclave, beneath the absolute power of the Hierarch. They represent four important aspects of the Order; knowledge, domination, advancement, and influence. Those who hold these positions and seats advise their leader and make suggestions, based upon what they represent. Advancement could bring up the idea of a new warship or starfighter. Knowledge could report on the founding of an old holocron whose wisdom could be of use. Domination advises this or that campaign. Influence reports upon the tendrils that reach to supplant and deceive their foes, both within and without. --------- Praetor's CircleKnowledge (Dark Side of the Force) - Seer Monmouth ( Darth Sirona 's NPC) The Circle of Knowledge represents the Conclave's intellects, archaeologists, philosophers, and historians. Led by the Seer, it serves as the department that delves into the secrets of the Dark Side, the ancient tomes and texts left by the Old Sith, and the holocrons made by the many who gained the title of Darth. Its purpose is to ensure that the Conclave has knowledge, the knowledge to succeed, achieve, and thrive. To expand, to conquer, and to crush. To experiment, to research, and to demonstrate. Sorcery, magic, rituals, and such will be founded by those within its ranks. Their teams scour the galaxy, hidden in plain sight at times, to find that which has been lost and neglected. Domination (Military) - Warmaster Maethoriel ( Elarinya 's NPC) The Circle of Domination serves as the division, within the Praetor's Circle, that oversees the military of the Conclave. Here, commanders, strategists, and logisticians of both Force and Non-Force backgrounds serve under the command of the Warmaster. Both army and naval personnel discuss tactics, plan campaigns, and ensure garrisons are properly supplied. Although it is the desire of the Hierarch to wage a war from the shadows, it is nonetheless prepared to wage greater conflicts if need be. With the new ships being churned out of the shipyards of Dromund Kalakar, the conscription from its worlds, the manufacturing of droids, and the creation of legions of Orzi Legions, the Circle of Domination is always ready to serve the direction of the Hierarch and satisfy the Sith desire for violence. Advancement (Technology) - Architect @vesperia The Circle of Advancement is sort of the polar opposite of Knowledge. Whereas the latter seeks to advance the Conclave through the wisdom and rites of the Old Sith, it is under the Architect that this subsection that the Conclave is advanced through technology, science, and sorcery. This Circle oversees the activity on Dromund Kalakar, manufacturing of droids, and the alchemical process creates the Orzi Warriors, the mainstay soldier of the Conclave's armed forces. Sorcerers, shipwrights, scientists, and such fill their ranks. They even do dabble in searching out old technology, forgotten and lost, that could be of use to Sith order. Certainly, a bounty of ships, vehicles, starfighters, and more will come out from the minds of its creators and brought to bring fear to the enemies of the Sith. Influence (Intelligence and Diplomacy) - Arbiter Luxeria The Circle of Influence is the shadow that lurks within the ranks of Conclave. This bureau is made up of spies, would-be collaborators, masters of sabotage, adepts of assassination, and inquisitors that serve to both counter internal and external threats. Crafty diplomats who ensure the interests of the Conclave are carried and their presence is felt within the hearts of unaligned worlds suitable for the Sith interests. All must fear if a shadow lurks behind them, following them, trailing their movements, and gaining knowledge of the target that has been placed upon their backs. They are the eyes and ears of the Hierarch, under the authority of the Arbiter. Once must be careful what they do and where they step, it could be their last action.

Elarinya@vesperia LuxeriaDarth SironaA gathering, the first of its kind, since the founding of Conclave, had been sent out to the Praetors of this faction. Invitations were extended to only two special guests, but beyond that, none other was invited. The Heirarch had ensured the ranks of the four Circles was filled and their leaders were selected. With the final named, they could be, at last, gathered and the first meeting to decide the near-future of the Conclave, and her next steps, was to be decided.
The chamber had been well furbished by the Circle of Advancement. Their technology helped with the creation of chamber, similar to that of the Dark Council of the Sith Empire, from the Great Galactic War. There was no throne for the Heirarch to sit upon, no grand seats, no banners, nothing beyond the immense metal table, the tall forged pillars, and some much needed light. There were seats available, that were hidden beneath the floors and could be raised for extended meetings. The chamber before had been dim and dark and left in neglect, like the rest of the Acropolis. In times that the Heirarch would not be present, the table had a holoprojector installed for distant communications to his Praetors. For now, the bluish illumination of the acquired space of Conclave glowed, centered around the Sith Worlds.
Malvus walked in silently from the door that led into an adjourning room, his personal quarters. Beyond the four Praetors, his apprentice, Darth Sirona, was with him, having joined him from her time in the Archives more than likely. In addition, the Grand Inquisitor, Darth Obitus, had been offered an invitation, despite the presence of his superior, Arbiter Luxeria. The Inquisitorial part of the Conclave was being formed and would become a vital organ one day. His son, Darth Teren, stood at the doorway. As commander of the Vermilion Guard, the Heirarch's bodyguard, Teren was present for majority of wherever Malvus went.
The Sith's gaze looked at what was under their thumb now, aside from Thule and Dathomir. The Heirarch knew that there was still much to do before their crusade was ready to be underway. Their ranks needed to be filled, apprentices trained, resources acquired, ships constructed, and much more.

It had been a bit since the original discussion within orbit in which Luxeria had agreed to join the Resurgent Sith. With it, she had been granted a title that still held many mysteries, even now. Yet, for all the time spent residing on Korriban and training her apprentice after fully claiming Dromund Kaas, nothing had been said since. Curiosity had taken route in her mind as to what this role truly entailed and what it all truly meant for her.
That was, until now.
A meeting had finally been called, summoning the Praetor Circle for what she guessed to be their first gathering. Many truths would come to light, including who all held the role of Praetor and what they were meant to watch over. Reaching the chamber, entered the room designated for their meetings to find a few select individuals present. First, and foremost, was Malvus himself. It was unsurprising considering that he was the Hierarch and had called the meeting. At his side stood Sirona, a curious addition, though she said nothing about it. Then she noticed Teren, once known as Vurkar when she first began training under Malvus. She gave him a nod before moving further in.
For now, she said nothing as she moved up to the table that resided within the center, taking this time to observe the room and gain and solid grasp of her surroundings.

Having just returned from Ziost, Darth Obitus entered the chamber through the main door. He was walking hunched over and with the assistance of a plain black cane. He hadn't needed the cane when he previously met with Darth Malvus but he often used it in private or informal settings. He had chosen to use the cane today to portray a very specific image, that of a helpless old man. He found it useful for his opponents and any potential internal challenger to have low expectations of him.
It took the aged Sith a few minutes to make it over to the large table in the centre of the room. He favoured his left leg, with his cane being in his right hand, although he had no actual injury. Obitus walked over the right of Luxeria without first acknowledging anyone. Once he was close enough to the table he stopped and held out his left hand at chest height. Through the Force he activated the chair beneath the floor, something he had been informed about by the guards outside. The slender yet functional chair slid up from the floor and deployed in quite a sudden movement.
Obitus let out a slight sigh when he realised the chair was a standard height and so it was slightly too tall for him. At least it would be awkward for him to try and sit on it normally. Instead he turned his back to the chair and faced the holotable, glancing over at Malvus. He then levitated himself through the Force, upwards and slightly backwards so he could be seated comfortably on the chair. An audible sigh passed his lips once the newly appointed Grand Inquisitor was fully seated, it was a relief to not have to stand or walk.
“Good day to you, my Lords and Ladies.”

As though the chamber was her stage, Vesperia strutted into the room with powerful steps, like a model on the catwalk showing the newest black leather couture line by some new and rising artist. Not far behind, two other Sith Masters flanked her like her personal guards or entourage. Those familiar with the Sith Academy's instructors would recognize them as Lord Synik, instructor of war and tactics, and Lord Atropheis, instructor of sorcery and alchemy. Vesperia deemed a specific area around the holoterminal as her 'spot,' and the two men, neither saying a word, fell behind her to linger around the chamber's outskirts a few meters back.
Crossing her arms over her chest, Vesperia cocked her head to the side as she peered about the room. The lady wore a malicious smile, hungry to discover who else had been sanctioned to head this newest insurrection to be later written into Sith history.
"Lady Luxy," the woman cooed with a wink in her direction. "Always a pleasure to see you."
Vesperia wasn't exactly surprised to see her among the Praetors. Luxeria was apprenticed to Darth Malvus some years ago, and the red-headed beauty's own disappearance was uncanny in timing to this development. It didn't take a quantum physicist to put two and two together. However, there was someone new here that Vesperia didn't recognize. Her smile dissipated as she glanced over at the older Sith who had already made himself comfortable. Although Vesperia looked him over with an intrigued, calculative gaze, it wasn't long that her unsettling smile returned to her lips.
"And a good day to you," she offered back to Obitus, speaking slowly yet with mild, excited animation. "I can't say that I've made your acquaintance before. Lady Vesperia," she introduced, pulling all the stops to remain alarmingly cordial and friendly to those who knew her better.

With Monmouth and the Warmaster coming in last, the meeting could begin. The two additional attendants, brought in by Vesperia, were noticed. Seemed liberties were being taken without his approval... Malvus, for now, ignored their presences, keeping his attention focused on the holomap before them. Not a single dot flickered, which usually indicated contested systems and planets. The Sith Worlds were entirely under their control, without a single doubt.
With the Sith Worlds claimed, and our influence extended to Thule and Dathomir, the Conclave can now take root.
The Heirarch declares from his standing position at the front of the metal conference table.
The shipyards of Dromund Kalakar are churning out warships and starfighters, the Armory and droid factory of Thule have roared to life and begun their work to arm our soldiers, the secrets of Korriban, Dromund Kaas, and Ziost are being explored, and Dathomir has proven to a fertile ground for recruits.
This was to name some of the many activities that were ongoing within the Conclave. The faint noise had become a buzz of activity as the Conclave came to life and began to work as one towards the greater goal of their existence. There was now nothing that could hinder Malvus... he was at the head of the pyramid and he would guide it the way it needed to go.
Before I give my orders to you all, speak what needs to be said. Let me hear the thoughts and suggestions of my Praetors.

The Zeltronian Blademaster entered the chamber of the Praetor's, her hair done up in its usual style with her Katana hanging from her hip. Although this was intended as a meeting of those Hierarch's new high council, Maethoriel was not very often seen without her blade. She made no attempt to draw attention herself as she crossed the chamber towards one of the last open spots around the table. She placed her katana on the table before silently taking her seat and examining those that were already present at this gathering. They were all names and faces she had encountered during her service to Lord Malvus during the Blackguard. But unlike before, she now stood their equal.
Elarinya, meanwhile, stood quietly behind her new master. She was both the youngest and newest Sith amongst the group. Of those gathered, She only recognized Malvus, Sirona, and Luxeria. The rest were complete mysteries, and thus she regarded them with suspicion and curiosity. But her attention was soon drawn towards the Hierarch as he opened the first meeting. Maethoriel, despite being given the opportunity to speak, remained silent and reserved. Preferring to see what the Praetor's would bring up first

Luxeria turned her head towards the door with each opening, taking a moment to see who it was that was part of this meeting. The first was an older Sith, one she wasn’t familiar with. Her eyes simply followed him as he moved past her to her right and summoned a seat from the floor. Outside of his age and race, there was little she could gather in the moment from the man, other than he seemed a bit disabled due to the decrepitness from his old age. Whether that was a ruse, truth, or even something that didn’t hold him back was still unknown.
Then came the one that served as the greatest of surprises. Luxeria knew of Vesperia’s defection to the Resurgent Sith, due to the other she brought with her, but wasn’t aware of the elevation to the rank of Praetor. Watching the woman enter in her typically extravagant and bold fashion, the auburn-haired woman dropped her head with an irritated sigh. A shake of her head and roll of her eyes followed with the chosen words from other woman. "Yes, I’m sure it is.” She chose not to speak further. The last thing she wanted was to give the woman any more fuel than she needed. Otherwise, it might have become a rather uncomfortable meeting.
Then came the last two. First was Maethoriel, the Blade master who served under Malvus before their breakaway. She still knew little about the woman, but imagined that would change soon enough. The. Finally came the last person before Malvus spoke. Monmouth was clearly the last arrival, allowing Luxeria to glance around and see where things stood. And with that, a new question arose.
Was there a memo she had not received? By what she was told, this was a meeting for only the Hierarch and the Praetors along with two special invitations. With so many present, she was no longer sure of how was what. If the others knew who the other Praetors were, it was knowledge that wasn’t shared with her. This was meant to be her first meeting in discovering everything about her role and those that were of this rank. Currently, only Obitus, Monmouth, and herself came alone. Vesperia brought with her two additions which she had once see. Instructing students back at the Iridonia academy. Then Maethoriel brought her apprentice Elarinya. And finally Malvus had Sirona and his son present. So did that mean that Praetors could bring their guests and invitations were given out to those otherwise not in their circles? Or were each of them disregarding that rule and bringing extra anyway? Who were Praetors, who were the special invites, and who were just random extras? At this point, she couldn’t tell.
Her biggest wonders were the apprentices and Malvus’s son who simply stood back watching everything as a guard. So of all people, she expected him to be just a random extra. Why he was here other than him the Hierarch’s guard made no sense and showed just how uncertain he was about everyone here. Other than Vesperia, none others carried such that could be a personal guard. Then what was the point of the apprentices? What purpose did either of them serve within this meeting? She had intentionally left Kosrezic out because of that. That way, things that were meant to be kept secret would only remain with those in the room. If there was anything worth bringing up from the apprentices, it could have been brought up by their masters.
But Malvus seemed to disregard the reality of the extra people as he started the meeting, drawing her curiosity towards the matter. For now, though, she looked to the map a d the fully claimed worlds. The meeting seemed to be moving quickly. If there weren’t any question among them, they could be put the door within a matter of minutes.
But Luxeria had questions. Turning her head to the Hierarch, she crossed her arms over her chest. "Yes, I have a few. Perhaps you would like to fully disclose who the other Praetors are and their roles within the Conclave. I have not hbeen made aware of the others yet, and with so many in attendance, I’m not sure who’s a Praetor, who’s the special invitee, and who are the randoms. After that, you can explain to me fully why my role is. All I know is that I am the Arbiter and leader of the Circle of Influence. I can make many assumptions as to what that entails, but I’d prefer to know what it is without guessing."

Seer Monmouth had entered before the meeting had begun. He had made note of all present. He stood by the table and watched and listened, his eyes occasionally lingering on Darth Sirona who thus far stayed quiet and behind her Master. But Monmouth was currently more interested in the many new faces. He knew of Luxeria and Maethoriel, though he had never officially met Luxeria, the others though were new. And that intrigued him.
Sirona had come with her Master, though she expected her only job would be to watch and listen. She was careful not to make eye contact with Vesperia or those accompanying her. And after the encounter at the Arena, days earlier, her confidence was at an all time low, and hardly even registered the other parties present. That was until Monmouth arrived with his air of distain for the Echani. He feared Malvus would replace him as Seer once Sirona was done with her training, and he hated her for it. She knew this based on the few interactions they had had. Sirona was even more determined now to keep herself out of the way of any attention during this meeting.
Monmouth would respond after Malvus and Luxeria spoke. I agree, Lady Luxeria, introductions are in order. I am Seer Monmouth. My duties, as they have been described to me, are to oversee the preservation and recovery of Sith Lore and knowledge and to see that it is applied effectively. He looked to Malvus to ensure his description was adequate.

Malvus could understand the question presented by Luxeria. It was a whole new structure and system that needed to be understood. Praetor was a rank, but what was its purpose? What did the Circles mean? So, the Heirarch would give this information. However, first, he'd address the question of who was who. Going clockwise, around the table, Malvus spoke the name of each present with their ranks.
Behind me, directly, is the apprentice, Darth Sirona. She will be present for many of our meetings. Further back, some of you are aware of, is my son, Darth Teren, by my former marriage with the late San Zabar. Him, and his sister, Darth Kayeh, will be present from time to time. Teren commands my bodyguard and Kayeh works with finances.
From there, he began to circle around the table.
To my left is Luxeria, Arbiter of the Circle of Influence. Next to you, Luxeria, is Darth Obitus, our Grand Inquisitor.
Directly in front of him, on the other side of the table.
Darth Monmouth is our Seer of Knowledge. Next to him is our Warmaster of Dominance, Maethoriel, and, behind her, is her apprentice, Elarinya.
Lastly, to his right.
Lady Vesperia is our Architect of Knowledge.
His gaze then turns to the two who came with Vesperia, who stood further back from the rest of the meeting.
And those two, who I did not invite, seem to be lieutenants of Lady Vesperia's division.
Malvus looks directly at Vesperia for a moment before returning his gaze returned to Luxeria, who had asked the question of who was who.
The Praetors are mandatory members of meetings. Special invitees may include the apprentices, the captain of the guard, and the Grand Inquisitor, for example. Special invitees will be personally extended an invitation, by my hand, or requested to join by their superiors with my approval.
From there, he divulged the details of the Praetors and their circles. Each of which signifying a different aspect that made up the Conclave. From first glance, it sounded like a smaller version of the Dark Council from the Sith Empire of Darth Vitiate.
There are four circles that make up what is the Praetor's Circle. Each of you are known as Praetors, but also have individual ranks such as Arbiter and Warmaster.
Influence, led by the Arbiter, involves external and internal affairs that managed with relations, sabotage, and weeding out interlopers. Hence the Grand Inquisitor is a subordinate to this department. As such, Influence is a diplomatic corp, a directive of subterfuge, assassination, and spying, and a police division. Assassins, collaborators, inquisitors, and the likes serve under this circle.
Knowledge concerns the finding and excavation of the Sith's history. Overseen by the Seer, they would seek to preserve lost knowledge and extract it in the hopes of aiding the future of the Conclave. There is much to be found, so I doubt the Seer will lack in work. Members of expeditions into the tombs and those who manage our archives are among their ranks.
Dominance commands the military of the Conclave. Our Orzi Warriors, our conscripts, our droids, our warships, all would be detailed within the databanks of the Dominance. Led by the Warmaster, they are the ones that garrisoned worlds, sent troops to battle, and defended their territories. Military strategy and operations will be their expertise.
Lastly, Advancement is our scientific and technological department. With the Architect at their head, they manage the shipyards, the factories, and the pits where the Orzi were created. Weapons, vehicles, ships, and more was their expertise. They oversee the construction of technology and its continued evolution. It is they who will churn our newer advancements in technology to ensure our advantages over our foes.
With this thoroughly explained, Malvus returns his attention to Luxeria. Then it went to each of the Praetors, including the Grand Inquisitor, present.
For now, there will be four among the Circle. More may be added, as the necessity rises and falls, but this is adequate for now. As Praetors, you are my advisors, but you are also extensions of my will in overseeing your respective departments. To ensure progress for the Conclave and to command as my lieutenants.

Vesperia remained poised and confident, betraying nothing within that faint, hungry smile that remained perpetually on her lips. Her arms crossed over her chest, and she shifted her weight onto one foot, cocking her hip in the process. The lady said nothing, betrayed nothing, not even when she was openly called out by Malvus for bringing along Synik and Atropheis. It was no matter, though, for the actual failure within the room had already revealed itself within the Hierarch's words.
As Malvus finally finished discussing all of the ranks and roles of his Praetors, Vesperia let out a quiet, cynical laugh. She found something about the whole exchange genuinely amusing; her laughter built to echo within the chamber, easily drawing all eyes on her.
"I find it strange that you of all people would accept a role you knew nothing about, Luxie," Vesperia cooed in the woman's direction. "I can't say that I blame you for it, though. It isn't your fault. Clear communication has been sorely lacking. I'm sure you can agree? Seeing as you are the head of Influence, perhaps you and I could have a little chat afterward to strengthen that bond between our two offices? Just you and me?"
With a playful wink in Luxeria's direction, Vesperia clearly had something brewing within her brain and wasn't just idly flirting. The woman was smart enough to not reveal her cards just yet, though. Things here were just starting to get interesting. Vesperia then tilted her chin upwards indignantly as she deeply inhaled the air that almost as stale and boring as some of those gathered in this room. With the faint hum of a sigh, however, the woman then turned her attention towards Malvus.
"I wish I had known apprentices were allowed to attend such a meeting," she added, forcing a cordial nature to swarm over her suddenly, yet not without a faint, though expected coldness still lurking underneath. "I would have invited mine along, as others have in this room. Experience would suit them all well."
Despite her feigned, pleasant expression and honeyed tones, there was a clear indication that she meant that pointedly. Many were here and introduced who Vesperia herself believed shouldn't have been. If Malvus wanted to personally pick on her regarding 'invitations,' she would prove she was hardly an easy target and would not simply bow down.
"I would be happy to introduce the two I've brought with me once this very concerning issue is cleared up and everyone has the clear understanding of their roles they were entitled to at the very beginning. Unlike some others present, though, they are essential to me, the circle of advancement, and this meeting."
Vesperia's sly smile reappeared on her lips as she eyed down Malvus.
"But to answer your earlier question, Hierarch, I have none of my own as of yet. I do, however, have some remarks and announcements to make on behalf of my office. Whenever you are ready, though, o mighty dark lordship."

As Malvus begun to introduce those within the room, Luxeria's eyes shifted to each individual as the name came up. She allowed the face to burn into her memory as did their names and positions. The Praetors and the Grand Inquisitor would be people she'd no doubt be working with at one point or another. The more she knew who they were, the better.
It was when the Hierarch introduced Vesperia and her company that further curiosity began to fall upon her. It seemed the Sith was none to happy with Vesperia bringing others along that he didn't invite. The thought prompted another question that she would present once the man had finished speaking. But it worked more with her initial thoughts on the presence of so many within the meeting, something that was only pressed forward when he spoke of who was meant to be here and who wasn't.
Finally came the answer to the biggest question of all: her role. She listened intently to them all, grasping what each of them would fulfill. The first was her and upon hearing it, she understood just why he granted her the title. It worked entirely to her role and desires within the galaxy. The one thing that caused her to raise an eyebrow was the mention that the Grand Inquisitor was to be her subordinate, yet it wasn't something she had a hand in creating. It seemed Malvus chose to progress ahead and establish much of the order without another's opinion, thus crafting an air of caution within her moving forward. What else would Malvus put in place above them to ultimately render their position moot?
Before the woman could finally speak, the laugher began. A faint sigh came from Luxeria as her eyes towards Vesperia. The sigh came again, more audible and frustrated when the woman addressed her directly. Lifting a hand to her head, she shook it. This was what she was worried about the moment she knew Vesperia was joining up with the Resurgent Sith. Despite her own approach in influence and seduction, the way the woman had always spoken with her had, in a word, made her uncomfortable, which was saying a lot. Out of all of them present, there seemed to be a history between the two.
She only nodded to Vesperia at meeting up later for discussing what their departments could together but said nothing. Instead, she listened as she spoke further, addressing the concern she had regarding those present. With her own words spoken, Luxeria turned her attention back to Malvus. "I would have to say, the current situation regarding others here is somewhat confusing. I was under the impression that only the Hierarch and Praetors were supposed to at these meetings outside of the special invitations, to which there were only two for this meeting. I can easily guess that the Grand Inquisitor is one of those, but who is the second? There are five others that are here, so who does the last invite belong to? I left my apprentice behind based upon these rules only to find two have been allowed entry without so much as a question as to why, yet Vesperia's additions raise flags. If it comes to solely your discretion, Hierarch, about who is allowed entry and when, allowing you to shift the rules to benefit your plans, then I feel it may be wise for all of us to be on guard for sake of this becoming yet another Blackguard. As such, I feel special invites should be discussed among the Praetors as well before an invite is extended."
The woman's eyes focused upon him with a focused gaze as she awaited his response. She, too, would not bow so easily and she was cautious about this order still. She was waiting for that sign in which she knew she needed to act. After all, she was the Arbiter.

Maethoriel had sat in silent contemplation, sizing up her fellow Praetor's and those that accompanied them, while committing to memory each name and face to the title they held. Of the names she recognized previously, some were obvious fits. Those that were less obvious, she trusted Malvus to have chosen people based upon his more extensive knowledge of them. What ever the case was, the Circle of Praetor's had been introduced and their duties formally laid out for one another to understand.
But despite the clarification and explanation, it seemed there was still some - in her opinion at least - bickering to be done. Perhaps her own appointment had presented a unique situation in which she had been given some knowledge about the role she was to under take. Others amongst the Circle, however, seemed to have lacked such knowledge. When Vesperia seemed to take upon herself to draw attention to herself with that laugh of hers, Maethoriel had leaned her head forward and closed her eyes. She focused her hearing and listened to the comments of both women. With Luxeria seeming to be particularly hung up about various particulate details.
When Luxeria and Vesperia had finished speaking, Maethoriel opened her eyes and let out a sigh Do you truly think we'd be here if this was another Blackguard? Viox cared little for any opinion that was not his own. Nor did he make the time to pretend to gather advice from others. We have enemies that sit out amongst the stars, thinking they can cavort about and spread their precious light from one edge of the galaxy to another. Yet you would prefer to sit here and decry the injustice that you did not bring your own apprentices along to this meeting? As the Arbiter of the Circle of Influence, you certainly seem to be off to something of a rough start... But if it truly bothers the Arbiter and Architect so much that they did not treat their apprentices with the same equality as I treat my own, then I will send Elarinya away... As long as it ensures this meeting continues forward...

Obitus seemed to be in a select group of people who had been briefed about his role before he took it on. However one fact Malvus had failed to point out at the time was that he would be subserviant to the Arbiter. Given the familiarity the other Praetors seemed to had, this did not surprise him. As a relative unknown, it now seemed obvious that Malvus would not elevate him so quickly.
The older Sith studied his direct superior, Luxuria, as she spoke and even as others spoke their piece. Trying to make an assessment in a situation like this, where everyone's guard would be up, was difficult. He slowly glanced around the room as the subject of 'extras' was brought up. He knew this would be a tricky subject with a meeting of this level. For top level subjects to be discussed openly, you had to make sure there would be no leaks. With extra 'guests' this was made more difficult.
The Grand Inquisitor had a bit of a think as the Warmaster took her shot at Luxeria. It seems she was taking it from both sides as Vesperia had previously made a sarcastic swipe. Obitus could have added his own voice to attempt to undermine his superior even more to try to move up already. However, he thought of a different plan. He would, in a way, back up Lux and try and get into her good books.
“May I suggest that everyone, even if you have a special invite, except the Praetors and Hierach leave the room. That way there can be a discussion and vote on who is allowed into the meeting. Then we can proceed unimpeded by idle sniping.”
He looked around the circle, particularly at the Warmaster and Architect. Having received an special invite to the meeting from the Heirach, Obitus was quite confident that he would be invited back if everyone agreed. He would have also backed up Lux and hopefully come across as diplomatic.

A sly smile only continued to spread itself on Vesperia's lips as Luxeria continued on with her reasonings, even dissecting it down to the most minor point. Then again, that's what made her an excellent assassin in her own right, and an even better Arbiter from the sounds of it. Details seemed to be important in both lines of business. However, as the others began to chime in, Vesperia tilted her head curiously towards them. Her smile didn't fade, but there was a crazed sharpness in her steely blue eyes as they pierced into each speaking party. It was more than clear that the woman had something to say. How she kept quiet for as long as she did remained a mystery.
After this new one -- Darth Obitus -- finished speaking, the dark-haired woman finally chimed in, staring daggers into Maethoriel.
"Ah, and the blind loyalist rears her ugly head already. Not only that, you seem hard of hearing. Poor thing. It's starting to look more and more like the Blackguard with every passing second. So how did you get into the Hierarch's good graces? Kiss the very ground he walked on like that headmaster... oh, or that other... Znalost?"
Vesperia arched an eyebrow at the woman, but with a clear huff of a sarcastic laugh and a shake of her head, it was clear that she didn't actually want to hear that answer. Others may have been curious, but there were so many more pressing matters to this meeting. Still, to stir the pot was something Vesperia enjoyed doing as given the chance.
"I vote that a vote isn't even necessary."
Vesperia then turned her attention to Darth Obitus and shifted her weight to her other hip. She feigned a pout that he could even suggest the idea of sending everyone else away so quickly. It was like her very point had gone over everyone's heads.
"The more the merrier. This is our first official meeting, and I think it's an excellent idea that the apprentices be allowed to witness this gathering. I did the same many times when I was their age. It's highly beneficial for them all to witness and learn from their cult's leaders. As I stated, my concern lies in the misinformation and the Hierarch's leadership decisions already weakening us. If some of you can't seem to understand that, that's not my problem," she added in a sing-songy voice, glaring back over at Maethoriel every-so-briefly. "It's been my understanding that the Hierarch never extended invitations, so of course I took the liberties of extending my own when news reached me of our guests today. At least mine serve a purpose."
She stated pointedly, staring Malvus down with her quite direct shot. After her point was made, Vesperia scoffed and rolled her eyes nearly out of her head. However, with a dismissive wave of her hand, she let as much go and attempted to draw the conversation back on topic.
Vesperia tore her gaze away from Malvus as she looked back around the room of all Praetors and guests gathered. She stated that she cared little of how many people were gathered, and she would prove as much. If she could somehow actually get this little gathering back on track, the woman would at least put forth the effort.
"We are Praetors, are we not? We're supposed to be his chosen advisors. If our every movement is challenged by the Hierarch, then perhaps it is not the Praetors who should be questioned. Blind loyalty to his 'Holy Darkness' breeds stagnancy, and why we are all here today. We came for greater power and freedom. Not continued nepotism of special family invites and ridiculous micromanagement of our own decisions. And if you're too blind to see it's already happening, then you've doomed us to the same fate as the Blackguard."
For a brief moment, Vesperia turned her attention back to Malvus, looking over at him as if expecting a public apology from him. Although she knew well enough that it wouldn't happen, and she wasn't heart-broken in the slightest about it, Vesperia still tapped her foot impatiently. Falling silent, she eyed up each individual in the room, from the apprentices to the Praetors to the guests, as she waited for someone to finally pipe up. In truth, she kept her eyes especially peeled for Luxeria, seeing as she danced around the other Lady's points. She was a big girl, after all, and could fight for her own arguments, and that was something Vesperia was more than intrigued to witness. In truth, Vesperia thought she would be alone in her points. It was refreshing to realize she wasn't just another brainwashed old apprentice of his, bowing like all these others.

Monmouth kept his mouth and opinions to himself, he actually rather enjoyed watching the discorded discourse. He took careful note of who spoke out in favor of what, and who did not. There were cutting words from all sides, but until the Hierarch stepped in to silence them, it would keep going back and fourth. He was continent to go unnoticed for now, not due to fear, but because he knew in a situation like this it was best to keep one's cards close to their chest. It reminded him of the old days, of the years fallowing the Golden Age, when Sith turned on one another to fill the void left by Ragnos. The infighting and bickering. His hand stroked his shaved chin as the women and Inquisitor spoke back and forth. He would wait to speak until directly addressed.
Sirona on the other hand was filled with trepidation. The thought of this meeting had been weighing on her mind for the past few days. And though she had not been called out by name in any of the verbal sparring, she felt several jabs not so subtly pointed her way. She made every attempt to keep herself distracted, she began going over the High Sith alphabet in her head as the discussion of who could or could not be in the room was hotly debated. The Echani was careful though to keep an ear out for a change of topic to one of more substance or for a more direct call out.

As Maethoriel began to speak, Luxeria had to refrain from tilting her head in a dumbfounded way. While Vesperia was one she rarely felt pleasure in interacting with simply for her bold and extra nature, they, at least, seemed to be on a similar page. However, the conversation that began to creep up from others created tension within the back of her head and temples.
Luckily, the defining traits of the Architect came to light once more, sparing her the need of breaking her more collected nature. As with the head tilt, so too did she need to hold back a smirk as the comment the leather-clad woman made. "Blind loyalist." Yes, that was a phrase she could agree with. However, when Vesperia had finished her little speech, Luxeria took a breath before adding her piece, choosing to weave her words in a similar, yet different fashion. "I believe the real question is what path did you truly follow? Did you truly and fully serve the Blackguard or was it service through association? Can you honestly tell me that you dedicated your loyalty to the Blackguard and, therefore, Voix? Or was your loyalty only ever to Malvus in which and tasks you fulfilled for the Blackguard was for the sake of him and his advancements?" Luxeria stood there for a moment, eyes opened a bit wider as if she was waiting for an answer, though she didn't allow one to come before speaking once more. "And as Vesperia put, the problem isn't with those who are present. It's with the terrible communication that's being passed along. As per what I was instructed this meeting to be, my apprentice was left behind. And with only two invites given, one can only question who was entry and who simply brought someone. Seeing as you brought your apprentice, that means one of three things. One, your apprentice was given the invite. Two, you were instructed differently than the rest of us regarding apprentices, which has its own issues. And finally, you simply brought your apprentice of your own volition, regardless of rules, similar to what Vesperia has apparently done. Yet, our Hierarch takes issue with that, but not the company you bring. I begin to wonder if favoritism truly is at play here."
Luxeria let her eyes turn to Malvus, waiting for his response. She fully expected to have his own words, something she was fully prepared for. They remained there for a bit before turning to Obitus. She couldn't get around the sudden reality that was thrust upon her regarding this Grand Inquisitor. "I have no issue with those present and see no need for anyone to be dismissed."

Elarinya remained steadfast behind her Master, knowing that now was not the time to add her voice. She was here as an observer. As strong as she thought she was, she still recognized that many within this Chamber were many times stronger. Something about the way Vesperia looked, just gave her the sense the Architect would take a great amount of pleasure in torturing her. But Elarinya turned her gaze from the Praetor's and gave a sidelong glance toward Sirona. Watching the Echani Female as she attempted to avoid further scrutiny by burying her face in her book.
Despite the daggers thrown in her direction, Maethoriel did seem as perhaps perturbed by them as Vesperia or Luxeria might have hoped. There was, admittedly, a small amount of amusement she took from seemingly riling them up further. She closed her eyes and let out a scoff as the accusation was put forth that she had been rewarded for kissing the ground Malvus strode upon That's rich, the Seductress and the Dominatrix accuse me of bending over to become Warmaster... While I'm sure it seems usual for the both of you to perhaps do as such... She opened her eyes and shifted her attention between Vesperia and Luxeria. Despite the mirth she felt from prodding them, she cut herself off from commenting too much further. Enough time had been spent already on this matter in an official setting. Instead, she chose to address Luxeria's question about her loyalty The Blackguard was a festering mess of stagnation, we all saw it for what it was, which is why many of us are here today. What does it matter where my loyalties laid during the time of the Blackguard? Any admission to them laying with the Blackguard, at this point, is just drawing attention to oneself as an oath breaker. But if you really must know... no, my loyalty did not rest with Viox. I saw him as the delusional madman we all did in the end. His vision was far too narrowed and blinded by his own grandeur. Would you, Lady Luxeria, or any of the rest of us truly be here if our loyalties fully laid with Viox? But to address the matter, I train my Apprentice in the hopes she will one day prove herself worthy of replacing me when I should fall to another's blade. Whether you seek to set your own apprentices upon the same path is your own decision. Perhaps the Hierarch views my Apprentice as less of a threat than those he does not yet know... What ever the case, I do believe we are all in agreement on wanting to see this meeting move forward...

Some of the words said did make the tendrils, upon the Heirarch's chin, to twitch as a visible sign of irritation and a spike in anger. However, Malvus did not intervene, he simply stood by as three of his Praetors barked words, hurled accusations at each other, along with this and that. Only when there seemed to be a calm in the storm of words did he decide to speak. At first, it was just a mutter of words.
...Nwûl tash. Dzwol shâsotkun....
'Peace is a lie, there is only passion.' And there were some rather passionate statements said before him. Malvus's gaze looks between the three of them, waiting to see if any of them had anything further to say. Only after a moment of silence did the Heirarch realize that he could speak without interrupting any of his members of the Circle. The Sith's posture adjusts slightly before speaking further.
While points were made, other statements were made alongside them. I hope that you all have gotten it out of your system for this meeting.
Malvus states, looking at the three.
It seems that... a sorely made miscommunication has happened. A lot of us have been busy with our tasks and roles, I myself am at fault of that as well. In the future, such miscommunications will made more efficient and less likely to cause future issues. There was never an intention of purposefully misinforming you all, but that is why this first meeting was needed. Because it seems that these misunderstood miscommunications have resulted in an image that I dare say angers me... deeply.
A loud crack followed as the air in the room shifted. Malvus glances behind him to see that his anger had caused a part of the wall to cave in under the pressure. It was only slight, but it was better than exerting it on anyone in this room. The Heirarch's anger was boiling, but the Sith did his best to keep it under control. There were times for rage, but this was not one of them. Malvus addresses Luxeria first.
I will clarify that the invitations were only extended to Darth Sirona and the Grand Inquisitor. The two invitations, I felt, were of a necessary nature. The Grand Inquisitor has freshly returned from Ziost and will likely need to speak with the Circle about anything his headquarter needs to make the Inquisition efficient and effective. My apprentice was brought here because, in order to further her education, she must know the faces of the Praetors. She must know who to go through in order to further her education, wherever she may desire it to lead.
Malvus set a precedence to ensure that the Heirarch's apprentice was not given a greater position than that of the Praetors. She still needed to respect those of greater authority and power than herself. Any one who was the apprentice to the leader of a faction could easily let that go their heads after all. Luxeria was an example of that being the opposite. Even when Malvus was Jen'ari, she still fought to earn her right to be called a true Sith. She never assumed anything was hers just because of the connection she had.
As for the various mentions of the Blackguard, and the accusations placed left and right, the Heirarch had to silence those, once and for all. The Conclave was a new faction, fresh from its breakaway and has steamed forth, seeking to be the progressive entity that the Sith has sought it to be. And so, all were addressed as a result.
If this truly were the Blackguard... would I have even considered ensuring you, and others here, were made to advise me? To be extensions of my will? To be manifestations of the power and knowledge that we seek to cultivate here? Would I have not named my son, Teren, heir without a second thought? Would I not have taken the title of Sith'ari and gone down the very same path as our former superior?
Malvus states, looking at those gathered.
The Sith'ari DISBANDED the Dark Council before it could even function as an organ of the Blackguard! All power was invested in him, the direction of the nation was his to determine, and nobody... nobody could say otherwise. Though I too intend to rule with an absolute power, as any Sith would, I will not manage this alone and above all others. All of you have been appointed based on your skills, not your loyalty. After all, loyalty does not always mean one is skilled. You were chosen because your efficiency, your abilities, your merit, and more. I will say that loyalty is needed to keep the Conclave together, but skill will ensure it progresses as it should be.
His hand gestures across the table, indicating all the Praetors present.
All of you are extensions of my will, manifestations of my authority, and executioners of my directives. But you are also your own person! Speak if you feel your words will be wisdom to my ears! Propose ideas to me, and your colleagues, if you feel they are worthy to the Conclave's future! Perform actions that you believe are necessary for the future that we seek to achieve! Advise me on what is best for the Conclave, not what you believe I would like!
Malvus intended to address the matter of those who were not invited next, but the matter of the Praetors and their... arguments and accusations had to be addressed firmly and foremost. With that said, the Heirarch fell silent and awaited to see what would be said in response.

A smirk came to Luxeria's face as Maethoriel spoke. It seemed that the two women had gotten to the Zeltron if only a bit. What truly amused her, though, was the claims that she, as a seductress, would be the one bending over for another to achieve her position or anything for that matter. It showed that Maethoriel could only assume to know what it meant to be a seductress and manipulator, at least when it came to Luxeria. She seduced and manipulated lesser men and women to gain what she desired, this was true, but each one was a token to gain Luxeria's favor and to have that special moment with her, something she never gave. For those that stood above her, she let go of her manipulative ways and strove to earn her place so that none could say she was all talk and no action.
Silence filled the air when the woman finished speaking as Luxeria waited for Vesperia to jump in. When it seemed she wouldn't or was waiting as well, the auburn-haired woman prepared to speak her piece once more. However, it was the faint sound of the Sith language that stopped her as her head turned ever so slightly towards Malvus. Not even a few moments passed before he began to speak, anger radiating from his tones. She could feel the air change in response to it as not only the words, but the structure behind him showed how much he disliked the infighting and, more so, being compared to the Blackguard.
When he finished, Luxeria closed her eyes as the smirk upon her face grew. Inwardly, she began to laugh at how easily everyone but Vesperia and herself seemed to be worked up. Then again, it could be said they were the instigators, so of course, they would carry a calmer demeanor, even in the presence of the displayed power from the Hierarch's anger. The inward laugh became audible for a split moment before the woman spoke, her voice as calm as ever.
"If we truly are to be your advisors, then allow this to be my first bit of counsel: tread lightly." Opening her eyes, the once forest green orbs had turned a burning orange as they fixed themselves upon Malvus, the smirk slowly fading. "I imagine that your perception, as do a few others here, grants you a different vision as to how this all coming together. But let me assure you the ground beneath your feet is already beginning to crack. So be wary with each step forward for without the wisdom to understand them, everything will soon collapse from the weight."
Crossing her arms, she then tilted her head. "Allow me to elaborate. You have already begun to step into the realm of hypocrisy. This meeting, as you instructed, was to consist of only the Hierarch, the Praetors, and the special invites, to which there are only two for this session. Having now stated which they are, you, yourself, are in violation of that ruling by allowing your son to be present. You also took no issue with Maethoriel's apprentice being here but spoke out in regards to Vesperia's guests. If you are to say that personal guards can be present, these two, who we know nothing of, could have very well been hers. And if it is only you who is allowed to possess a guard while in these meetings, well..." She shrugged. "...then that raises other questions and certainly warrants extra caution for us. Or at least, it will for me. Regardless, the point is that only Lord Obitus and Sirona were granted an invitation, yet you are, on a whim, deciding who you approve and do not approve of randomly being here."
Turning her eyes to Sirona, she tilted her head, before continuing. "On the subject of these invitations, the Grand Inquisitor's presence is understood and can be agreed upon." Luxeria's tone thickened with distaste as she spoke the title before carrying on. "However, your reasoning for your apprentice is a weak one at best. If that was indeed the case, you would have ordered that all apprentices should be in attendance for that very reason. Whether it is to understand who the Praetors are as to better aid their masters, further their education, or in the chance they may one day take up the mantle, a topic that I will address in a moment, they can already begin to learn their future roles. So why yours and not ours? Perhaps there is something more you haven't shared? And if it's to ensure she doesn't gain some semblance of ego because she is your apprentice, meaning she gains special privileges, I am confident you needn't worry. For one, if she was to carry such a mindset around us or any of the masters, she would very quickly be put in her place. Secondly, she was once the adopted daughter of the Sith'ari. Adopted or not, any fool desiring power and status would use that connection, yet she has never tried. In fact, I believe she made it a point to avoid being seen as such. So unless there is a deeper reason, her invitation when no others were given was an absolute waste."
Taking a moment to let out a sigh, she shook her head. "As it has been the major topic thus far, the ill manner in which things have been communicated. I applaud you for being wise enough to take the blame for that failure, but this meeting is not the extent of your miscommunication or lack thereof. Shall I remind you of your deceit when you had me claim Dathomir for this order, but had me doing it under the impression it was for the Blackguard? It was fortunate for you that I did not mention the order by name when claiming it. Otherwise, it would have been quite the ordeal for YOU to correct. Then, when I agreed to join you, you granted me my titles but chose not to ensure I fully understood what it meant to be the Arbiter. Doing so put me, as the Warmaster put it, behind the others, who all seem to have at least some semblance of understanding as to their roles prior to this meeting. That was time I could have spent building my circle so that it was at least somewhat operational by this point. But since it wasn't, the intelligence aspect will be sorely lacking as I work to piece things together in order to catch up." She looked to Obitus again, her mind replaying Malvus's words of him being here to be capable of requesting funds for his headquarters, meaning whatever was established with him was already moving forward at great speed.
Turning her head to Vesperia for a moment, she then fixed her gaze on Malvus once more, arms spreading out a bit. "Now let us address something the Architect has said. 'No invitations had been given.' Since coming here, there are very few, only but a handful of members that truly existed within the Blackguard itself. It has been filled mostly by those that resided with you on Eraidu, those that had been loyal to you since before joining the Blackguard along with a few others you've recently picked up. Considering that it really isn't until just now when Vesperia brought others from that order, it's easy to assume didn't and had no intention of recruiting others from under Viox. So what? Because they followed the Sith'ari they weren't worth reaching out to and would be left to rot and die? Did you feel that the small group you possessed and others you found afterward would be all you needed?" Luxeria shook her head with a scoff. "Certainly a good way of letting potential and promise go to waste. Did you not consider that others thought as you did? Did you not think more would want out now there is further internal strife with Vallius seeking to take his father's throne? Without reaching out and with all your subtlety, I wouldn't be surprised if no one within the Blackguard truly knows what you have accomplished thus far and what you can offer them that the Blackguard couldn't."
She gave another shrug as her smirk returned, eyes bearing into Malvus. All that she had said was merely a starting point as what was about to escape her lips was the true meat and, undoubtedly, would cause the greatest stir. "You have really zeroed in on the precise details, haven't you? So much so that you have gained tunnel vision. The point is that Voix did have a Dark Council, no matter how brief a time it was before eliminating it so that he ruled unquestioned. But what does that truly have to do with you having a council? It could very well be for show, something in which we are just puppets to your plans as you make choices all your own. After all, you have already stated as such that the invitations and those present are by your approval alone. The fact that none of us could bring someone in within our circles should a situation require it without first gaining your permission already sets the stage. Then we move to the idea of nepotism. As you mentioned, your son isn't named heir because he is your son, yet he was given the role of head of the Vermillion Regiment, your personal guard. It's not Hierarch or Praetor, but it is a defining position. Your daughter heads finances, correct? Family in some key positions. And while we may not be family, Maethoriel, Monmouth, and myself were loyal to in some form or another. The first two were followers of yours and I was once your apprentice. Any who knows this could just as easily believe you carry an air of favoritism just like Voix did. Say that we are chosen because of our skills and I am sure he will do the same. Besides, was Sirona not his adopted daughter, yet was kept locked away, unable to progress like the others? And let us not speak of Vallius who's frustrations with his father have created this internal struggle that has divided the Blackguard. Apparently, more has transpired there that simply being heir doesn't satisfy. And returning the idea of apprentices working to possibly take our places, it shouldn’t be a thing for the sake the same thing. They should be decided on skill and through a vote by the Praetors and Hierarch, not because they were trained to take the role eventually."
Taking a deep breath, she pressed on, ready to address something that had been bothering her since Obitus had been introduced. "How can we trust that you won't turn everything into what you desire it to be? After all, you've clearly been setting up things that fall into my circle without speaking with me. To come here and find out Lord Obitus is my subordinate, that he is the Grand Inquisitor and is here so he can request funds for his headquarters? What if I were to tell you I have no intention or need for the Inquisitors in my circle or that I will dictate who fills the role of Grand Inquisitor? I'm sure that you will tell me that this is your decision and there is no discussion about it. Otherwise, you would have informed me prior to this meeting. Already I am subjected to your plans and unable to fully establish my own within my own circle. How long before you take full control and we become puppets to keep others in line or become obsolete?"
Shaking her head once more she lifted her hands, spreading them out to all in the room. "I am an assassin, an infiltrator, a seductress, and a manipulator. Details are my job, from the smallest to the more general ones. It is my job to gather the bits and pieces and help create a bigger picture. That is why you named me Arbiter, correct? Focus upon your details and ignore the other's signs and you will become like the Blackguard and every other order that has come and fell to ruin before us. When you named me Arbiter and one of your Hand's, you also gave me another task, one that I told you I'd be doing nonetheless: to watch you and make sure you don't falter. This order is new and prone to mistakes in its infancy. So I will point out every flaw that shows itself. As you said, I am an advisor, so unless you seek an early death, I will make sure you know where the cracks are forming in your great plan."
Taking another breath, the air around Luxeria calmed further. "As for those who are present, I see no issue with them being here. We are Praetors and are more than smart enough to know who should be here. Apprentices should be allowed and expected at every meeting unless otherwise stated. From there, we should be able to govern who within our circles should be present. All others should be discussed among this circle before an invite goes out, one that is discussed and voted on with the Hierarch having the final say."
