Assertor-class Star DreadnoughtShip Class: Star Dreadnought Ship Role: Dreadnought, Sector Command and Control Ship, and Command Ship Ship Length: 15,000 meters Agility (A): 1 Defensive (D): 4 Offensive (O): 3 Speed (S): 1 Special Gear: 1 (Troop Space) The Assertor-class Star Dreadnought was 15 kilometers long and had a hull-shape similar to the Executor-class Star Dreadnought, being primarily shaped like an arrowhead. It was considered the second largest of the standard Star Dreadnought line (with only the Executor-class being larger), as well as the largest in the Imperial Navy in a family that included the Mandator- and Bellator-class ships.
On the top of the ship was a large, prominent ridge from the stern up to a few yards from the bow, containing several guns as well as the command bridge, slightly similar in appearance to the ridge of the Mandator- and Bellator-class dreadnoughts.
The class was equipped with a large amount of gun batteries mounted along the ridge of the ship, as well as the flat dorsal and ventral surfaces. Many of the batteries were positioned in patterned clusters. Its armament of turbolasers, while less extensive in comparison to the Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts, were nonetheless powerful enough to devastate a planet, and was regarded as the second-most powerful dreadnought in the navy.
The dreadnought's armament, of which they were evenly distributed across the ships hull, was made of 40 quad heavy turbolaser batteries, 30 quad battleship ion cannon batteries, 10 dorsal twin heavy turbolasers, 30 quad light turbolaser batteries, 20 ventral twin battleship ion cannons, 20 dorsal medium ion cannons, 60 turret-mounted quad laser cannons, 90 concussion missile launchers, and 20 heavy tractor beam emitters. It could carry a complement of 120 starfighters and 20,000 troops for both space and planetary engagements.

What is standared fighter complement for a dreadnaught? Or at what point does it need the Specialty point?

I think there is an agreement on these limits, if I recall, though of course RPA can correct me there. Initially thought it was listed within the MAD Combat thread, but given that people rarely design faction ships, it's only listed up towards the Heavy SD's upper limit. sneaks back into the corner, since I'm not RPA, but just wanted to help out

If those are the numbers we use, it would not appear that a hanger point would be needed.

If those are the numbers we use, it would not appear that a hanger point would be needed. That fighter complement thread's conclusion has not been approved by the Whills however. So a point is still required. As of right now, the highest starfighters can go for a submission is: Located here.

Ahh I see it now, but even then this is bigger than Heavy SD. I feel this is a pretty standard number

This is good, it's what I want to encourage, here, have a cookie hands Jenia Kasalle a cookieAnyway, might be something worth having a discussion about in terms of figuring out starfighter and troop standard compliments for these size ranges.

With the new ruling on starfighter complements, can this be moved forward?
I removed the hangar space point as the highest a Star Dreadnought can go, with the new rules, is 192. And the current complement is below that limit.

Stepping up to give a hand here. I can’t see this being worth a 5 in offense. While carrying more versatile weaponry than either the Revenant and the Sovereign, their turbolaser count alone passes the weapon count of all weapons here by around a couple hundred. They also have the collection of laser cannons, as well as auto cannons and a super laser respectively. With these armaments, they are sitting at a 4 in offense.

Last I recall of the discussions, the Star Dreadnought class was going to get a reshuffle number wise to better align them with how the MAD system should work. so might need to settle this at a 2 or 3.

I can agree with a 3 for the time being until everything is reevaluated at a later date. Just needs Standash Thul to look it over once more for her opinion and to move it. Approved.
