The First Order Assassin-class corvette, the Kasimira, emerges from hyperspace and, providing the necessary security codes after its transponder data has positively confirmed its status as a First Order vessel, contacts Muunilinst's Orbital Traffic Control to request permission for First Order Admiral Ishild Sauer to meet with Emperor Delvardus IV in Imperial Strategic Command. Once permission has been granted, Ishild makes her way to the Kasimira's hangar and boards a Lambda-class shuttle that launches and begins to make its way down to Harnaidan.

Emerging from hyperspace over the First Order capital, the shuttle carrying Grand Moff Viox Savage, appeared and began descending towards Imperial Strategic Command. Transmitting the appropriate authorization codes the shuttle continues towards the surface...

One Pellaeon Star Destroyer exits hyperspace above the First Order's capitol, IFF codes identified the ship as the Empire's Fist, Flagship of the Fel 9th Fleet under the command of John Tien. The security codes transmitted were from before the Third Galactic Civil War as Tien left known space before then. John had made his way back up to the bridge and looked out over the planet, and if the civilian traffic was anything to go by Muunilinst was thriving under the First Order.
=John= Well, no turning back now....let's see how they take the news. Muunilinst control, this is Moff John Tien of Thule, requesting permission to land and to meet with Supreme Commander Nicademus Delvardus.

The responding transmission came not from Muunilinst Control, but rather a gargantuan Assertor-class Star Dreadnought, escorted by a pair of Resurgent-class Star Destroyers. This trio was a part of the Ad Gloriam Squadron, the vanguard of the Imperial Navy. The person who responded to Moff Tien was Fleet Admiral Arcavius, who recalled Tien from the days of the Deep Core Remnant.
Moff Tien, this is Fleet Admiral Arcavius of the Dreadnought, Ad Gloriam. I have ensured that the Emperor Nicademus was made aware of your arrival and Imperial Strategic Command Security has cleared your request for landing. You will be escorted to the Emperor's presence as your request for an audience has been granted as well.
It was clear that much had changed.

Emperor Nicademus? Well that was certainly an interesting development. However the most interesting development was the Ad Gloriam and its pair of Resurgent-class Star Destroyers. The Assertor-class was already a rare sight in the Imperial Navy, but these new ships looked to be just as advanced, if not more so, than his own Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer. Both John and Miranda were at a loss for words for a few moments before John finally snapped back to reality.
=John= Thank you, Admiral, I will be landing in a few moments.
Minutes later John's TIE Phantom launches from the Empire's Fist and heads to the surface.

The blue hue of hyperspace snapped away as the small shuttle exited the depths of hyperspace above Muunilinst. A few seconds past before the main engine cut out, its fuel spent from the trip it had taken across the galaxy. From afar, it appeared to be somewhat Imperial in design, but unlike any shuttle the First Order had produced. No weapons protruded from its body. The vessel floated through space, as the backup battery kicked in to power an SOS beacon. Any life form scans would reveal a single occupant, with the vessel unresponsive to any attempts to raise it via radio

The Pride of Muunilinst, a Resurgent-class Battlecruiser of the Suzerain Squadron responded first the arrival of unexpected shuttle. Its tractor beam locked onto the small ship and brought it into the hangar bay where a crew of engineers attempted to open the sealed ramp. After some time, though, it was removed and a squad of Stormtroopers immediately entered to secure the small craft. Eventually, though, one of them found the pilot. For a moment he wasn't sure what to make of the person before the soldier took notice of the mask.
Captain, this is Stormtrooper RT-9117 from Hangar Bay 2. The shuttle's occupant is Harnan of the Knights of Ren. Get a medical team down here stat and get word to the Emperor! I repeat, mediecal team and word to the Emperor!
Like Illaria, Harnan Ren had been missing for a few weeks since disappearing into the Unknown Region. A medical team was dispatched who took the unconscious Harnan to sick bay for examination. Within the hour, a shuttle carrying the Emperor arrived to the battlecruiser. With Harnan back, that means something was off. Nicademus had been told, personally, by the Ren that he would not be returning from the Unknown Region. Yet he did which made the Imperial suspicious.

The last 2 weeks had become something of a blur, melding time together. The last thing he remembered clearly, was managing to push the shuttle's hyper drive on a path to Muunilinst. What he had not counted on, was that the drive was meant more for short jumps between nearby systems. The supplies had lasted him a few days, but they had quickly run out. His sheer force of will the only thing driving him to survive being trapped in that shuttle for as long as he was, before finally passing out.
But just when it seemed as if death was about to finally reclaim him, he felt himself being dragged back to reality. His vision snapping into focus as he pushed himself up into a sitting position. His armour had been removed and piled in a corner and replaced with a set of medical scrubs. Several IV lines ran into him, delivering bacta and much needed fluids directly into his body. While monitoring pads had been stuck to his chest, their respective systems ringing as he woke up. He went to reach for his Saber until he noticed the First Order emblem emblazoned upon a nearby wall I... made it... He reached for his side then, some pain still emanating from where he had been stabbed. He mashed the call button then, to figure out where exactly he was

The hissing of a door was heard seconds later, the sounds of a number of feet were heard, including the standard boots of Stormtroopers present. One person came over in a white lamb coat, the doctor of the wing on this battlecruiser who examined the readings on Harnan Ren. However, there was another person standing at the foot of his medical bed with the familiar flare of orange hair and uniform that was all too recognizable. Nicademus looks directly at Harnan Ren who laid upon the medical bed where he had been treated since his sudden return from the Unknown Region.
You look like absolute crap.
The first words that came out of the Emperor. He had never seen Harnan unconscious before, but there was a first for everything.
Surprised to see you back though. Last we spoke, it sounded like you had accept a fate that led to absolute death.

As soon as the Stormtroopers entered the room, Harnan suspected he knew where he was. His attention diverting from the Doctor straight to Nicademus Delvardus the Fourth. He must have made it back to Muunilinst. He smirked as the Emperor of the First Order commented on his appearance You would know... The Doctor adjusted the head of the bed then, raising it to a seated position so that Harnan could lean back into it. Already anticipating the questions that were about to ensue I'm as surprised as you are... I fully expected to never have to lay eyes on you again... But here we are... Alive and relatively well, all things considered... He paused then, meeting Nicademus' gaze, knowing that the news he was about to deliver was somewhat bittersweet I suggest you clear the room if you want any further answers...

Nicademus looks curiously at Harnan before turning to Baltasar, nodding quietly to him. Within a short period of time, the medical bay room was cleared out after the doctor did his runs and quick examinations. The Imperial watches as the door closed behind the last Stormtrooper before turning back to Harnan.
I know why you said that, Harnan. It's about her, isn't it?
The Emperor says as he stands at the foot of the Ren's medical bed.
She's gone for good... that's what you are gonna tell me. I may not have your Force instincts, but I could hear it in your words.

He shifted himself further up in the bed as the room was finally emptied of all but himself and Nicademus. The man already jumping ahead to the only conclusion someone in his position could come to. Not all that long ago, he might have teased the Emperor of the First Order with the knowledge he had. Maybe he would have given it out piecemeal, torturing the man to know. But much had changed lately Yes... She's gone... I do not know where she is. And even if I did... I would not tell you. This was never about killing the Master of the Ren to replace him with her... It was about ensuring her freedom. And she has that now... In life or death... He paused a moment, letting Nicademus take it all in And yes... He is dead. We made sure of that... But I'm afraid Kortos won't be returning to serve the Imperial Knights. He gave his life to kill the Master... It's over, once and for all...

A silence fell as Nicademus slowly moved to a nearby viewport. His gaze looking at the millions of stars before his eyes.
She always a free spirit... it was hard enough keeping her in one place while the twins were within her.
The Emperor speaks calmly, his hands slowly moving to be linked behind his back.
Her official records will state she has died though. I do not want my children running after phantoms and misguided rumors just to find their mother if they ever desire to do so in the future. I know she would want the same... she loved her children after all.
Nicademus adjusts one of his gloves quietly before moving away from the viewport.
I will notify Faina Nikulin of Kortos's death. She will know the truth of why he died though. As for public records, it will state another story as to why he died. I do not need people thinking that the Knights of Ren are weak or divided.

Harnan knew all too well the challenge that it had been to keep Illaria from wandering off on missions. He had made sure to be close by anytime she insisted on leaving the First Order capital. He did not fully trust the Imperial Knights or any of his own brother and sisters to fully keep her safe. He gave a nod as Nicademus stated that the official record would list her as deceased. While he understood the man's reasoning, he wondered if it would be enough of a ploy to keep her children from ever sensing the truth You'll have no argument from me on that front... He couldn't suppress a smirk then as Nicademus rattled off about telling Faina the truth about Kortos' death. While he did not much care for the Imperial Knights, he knew Kortos had held them in high regard. It only made sense his memory should be honored by someone for his actions, since the public would be fed an entirely different tale. But it was none of that, which had caused him to smirk. No, it was Nicademus' final statement that held a dark humor to it It would not be mere conjecture, It's the truth Nicademus... And I fear that the Imperial Knights might view this as the moment to remove us from the First Order... We've lost Illaria as Empress and I've killed the Master of the Ren, a decision not likely to make me popular with my Brothers and Sisters... Not to mention that right now our ranks are rather... exhausted.... He shifted his gaze to lock with Nicademus'. The next few days, if not longer, would be rough for the Ren What do you imagine is going to happen next? I don't imagine Soku is going to welcome me back with open arms...

Nicademus listens to the words of Harnan. However, the response was a silent shake of the Emperor's head.
The Knights of Ren are ingrained into the First Order as much as the Imperial Knights. I do not believe they will use the opportunity to remove the Ren. After all, Illaria gave me heirs, the first seen since the Fel Dynasty, and an assurance that the Imperial Knights can continue to serve my family in some capacity.
Although he had had his own issues with the Imperial Knights before, Nicademus kept his promises and ensured that they received his patronage and trust. The birth of a son and a daughter must have been good news to their ranks as they must have wondered who they would serve after Nicademus departed. One day, they would serve his heir, Octavion, as they served him now.
The Knights of Ren still have their value, even in this exhausted state. And given that state, I doubt Soku will have much a choice. You aren't replaceable after all given your skill. With Illaria and Sohei gone, those skilled among the Ren can be counted with a single handle.

Despite everything that happened with the Imperial Knights, Nicademus still placed his trust in them. It was a foolish decision, but not one he suspected the man would be swayed from any time soon. So for now, he simply had to trust that the Knights would be stayed by their oath and the promise of future patronage of Nicademus' heirs. As the topic turned to Soku and the Ren, Nicademus' assessment was rather accurate. Their numbers were less than ideal, and those amongst the stars that only the Master knew about were all but dead Let us hope that Soku sees it that way... Otherwise my return will be rather short lived... Harnan paused a moment, thinking on something before he met Nicademus' gaze once more Before you leave... You spoke of the Imperial Knights staying their hand with the knowledge that you have heirs for them to serve... While Octavian is well destined to become an Imperial Knight himself, perhaps it may serve for Fiora to undertake her studies into the force under the guidance of the Ren... As you admitted, we are exhausted. And by having Fiora train with us, it will keep the Imperial Knights away and ensure our place amongst the First Order...

Nicademus had his back to Harnan as he had kept to the window, gazing out of medical bay towards the space and stars that surrounded the capital of the First Order. His eyes trailing the movements of ships, both civilian and military in their purpose. Once Harnan finished speaking, the Emperor turns to look at the Ren.
The Imperial Knights, if told to back off the Ren, will follow my orders, Harnan. Faina Nikulin understands your necessity and will not move unless I give the order to do so. Any that would try to against my will would experience punishment ranging as scolds and demotion to as high as exile and death. You underestimate my control over the Knights and how my word is absolute law, whether they like it or not. Faina has already killed a number of her former comrades on my orders to purify their ranks... I won't hesitate to do it again.
There was a cold stare and tone upon Nicademus's expression and words. The Emperor was willing to take drastic and necessary measures, so brutal and ruthless in their methods, but still yielded results. None were safe from such a cold fury. Everyone knew what happened to Merrik's predecessor when Naboo was struck; firing squad without any trial and execution within the Emperor's presence. The Emperor's word was law and it would not be questioned.
Nonetheless, it was Illaria's wish to see Fiora be trained in the ways of the Ren. She always wanted her daughter to follow her footsteps while the son took the role of the Fels before my dynasty. The request is granted, Harnan. Train her well and ensure she is worthy of the title of Ren.

There was that fire within the Emperor. As calm and collected as he might have been on most occasions, he still had his tipping point. And Harnan most definitely had found it. But given the Imperial Knights service history, one could not entirely blame him for doubting their loyalty. Regardless, he would take the Emperor at his word that the Imperial Knights would obey his command. He gave a nod then, as Nicademus granted the request to train Fiora as a Ren Of course. She will not fail... For now, I shall go meet with Soku and get this over with... Until next we meet Nicademus...

Emerging from hyperspace, a sole YT-1930 appeared and began its approach towards Muunilinst in an almost hesitant way. From slowing its speed to veering off slightly to the side as if seeking to simply pass by, the ship's course reflected the mind of the pilot. From the cockpit, Anya set her gaze upon the small dot of a world that was her destination. She could have arrived closer, but ever since making the decision to return, her mind had been filled with doubts and questions. As such, she subconsciously came out of hyperspace a bit further away as if to give herself time to back out before it was too late. Yet, despite these feelings and her wavering path, she pressed on.
With each minute the planet grew in the viewport. With it, her heartbeat and breath quickened, something she tried to control but found herself unable to. How long had it been since her departure from this world? Seven, eight years? She wasn't sure. How much had things changed in her absence? Would anyone even remember her? Would he remember? The very thought of Nicademus caused her body to shake a bit as her rapid heartbeat quickened all the more. No matter what excuses she had made for herself, it was because of him and him alone that she fled the First Order. Closing her eyes, she sunk back into her seat. She remembered the feelings that had started developing within her for him and she, like a child, believed he felt the same. But one night, she went to meet him in his office only to discover he already had one he was giving himself to. It didn't matter the reality of it all, all she knew was that her heart had been crushed and she ran.
Now, after all this time, she was back. She couldn't explain it, but maybe after those years, she had gotten over her childish ways regarding love. Considering she hadn't concerned herself with finding another since meant she didn't know for sure, but she couldn't let that stop her. She could only hope that either all was forgotten, or none thought anything about her time away.
As she got close, she noticed the fleet, one more than it was when she left. The First Order had really grown. Taking a deep breath, she began transmitting the codes she once had as an Imperial Knight. It was unknown if they'd still work or if everything had been changed. If it didn't, she'd have to think up something else and hope for the best.

Taking a deep breath, she began transmitting the codes she once had as an Imperial Knight. It was unknown if they'd still work or if everything had been changed. If it didn't, she'd have to think up something else and hope for the best. From the bridge of the Turbulent-class Star Destroyer, that commanded Ad Victoriam Squadron, Admiral Rendrake examined the codes being transmitted from a lone freighter in open space. He looks down at the codes again, running them across the database within the Imperial Records. One did come up and the person it belonged to was labeled as MIA. In light Anya's disappearance, the Emperor had declared her Missing In Action within the ranks of the Imperial Knights. She was among the few who were truly granted that label, for many others had been executed as traitors or died on the field of battle. Rendrake knew that the only way someone could have gained these codes was extracting them from the dead woman's grasp. Still, these were genuine.Lady Anya Seyn, this is Admiral Rendrake of the Ad Victoriam. Your codes have been cross-checked with our archives and it seems you have been MIA for almost a decade. Your presence has been notified to the Emperor Delvardus and the Grandmaster of the Imperial Knights, Faina Nikulin. You are permitted to land at the Imperial Strategic Command in Harnaidan. Field Marshal Delvardus awaits you there.
