Nicademus noticed the halt in their advance, yet his mind had no time to wonder. The sound of lightsabers igniting made his attention come back to reality, just in time to see Anya defend him from Antares and the other Imperial Knights. The Imperial wasn't sure what was going on; the Grandmaster of the Imperial Knights and those escorting his person... were trying to kill him! For now, he kept close to Anya, knowing he was safe with her lightsaber close by.
The Imperial pulled out a comlink and keyed it, silently ordering new deployment patterns to his Storm commandos that were hiding somewhere within the city. For now, Nicademus had to wait and trust in Anya's defense. It was the only way he was gonna get out of this alive...

The Knights had been lucky to get Anya to join them. Single highhandedly she had stopped all of their attacks. Of course now he had to explain to her what was going on. Monolouging be damned!
Anya do you know the code? We serve the light side of the force as personified by the Emperor. Obviously we dont have one of those now, but Nicademus is the closest we have to one of those. Look around you though. He wrought this!
For effect he raised both his arms and motioned towards Harnaiden.
He knew that Xeonon was alive, and he allowed this. Its true he isnt a force user but he is corrupt and cant effectively lead us. We need someone who can bring the Knights to their proper place and serves only the light.
This was as much for the Knights around hims benefit as hers. His own words meant little to him, a way to justify his actions.
Stumbling after Xeonon he retrieved the fallen Knights lightsabers. Although they were standard issue each reflected their owners, much like dog tags in the military. Later they would come back for the bodies but for now this would have to do. Hearing the sounds of lightsabers clanging from this far away he wondered. There was no way that Xeonon was that fast, he had to have accomplices.

Nicademus heard the words of Antares, making the General grimace at the self-justification. All the Imperial could hear was Antares desiring full control of the Imperial Knights instead of taking orders like a lackey. Keeping behind Anya's defensive posture, Nicademus would speak up plainly.
Yes, I knew Xeonon was alive, but only as a force ghost. I never knew of his fall to the Dark Side, I never desired... this to happen. You are playing the fool, Antares. All you are doing is making yourself a target; making yourself nothing more than a plain target!

As skilled as it might have seem to be in stopping all of the Knights, if it hadn't been for her suspicion, her training, and above all, the very weapon she was wielding, she wouldn't have been able to stop all of them. Even now, the element of surprise had been lost and each knew where the other stood. It was her against the others, six on one. She knew her movements from here would have to be well calculated, even more so with Nicademus. No doubt while some tried to distract her and ultimately kill her, other would go for the general. While she knew he could take care of himself, he was without a weapon to fight them and they wouldn't hesitate to do what was needed to eliminate him.
As Antares spoke, she kept up her guard and her senses as she listened to his words. When she spoke, her voice was calm and a bit cold. "Yes, I'm aware of the code the Knights hold so close. I joined the Knights for the purpose they served when I chose my own path to walk. Even more do I follow it after serving to protect the Emperor and seeing what he has striving to achieve. Even if not Emperor, I know he'll continue that path. That is why I stand between you and him now. You have no proof to his involvement in this attack."
She took a deep breath as the Force began to stir within her like a storm. "Do not forget I came to you after receiving training elsewhere. I do not see the darkness as you do, for I know if handled in the right hands, darkness can be used to serve the light." The times had truly changed since those years ago when she first came to Aargau and learned from from Panno. She had revealed then an uncontrolled darkness that rose up to keep her safe. Now she held control of it. And it could be felt swirling inside as it grew. In that moment, her green eyes changes to a blood red, the iris outlined in an inner and outer rings of yellow. "You follow the code blindly, and have fallen unknowingly into the darkness. If you truly wanted to uphold your code, it should have been done long before when the Sith were being brought into the Empire. But you wait until now, using this as an excuse to kill him. All I see is your own selfishness and cowardice."
She wasn't fully sure of her words, if Antares was truly sticking to the code or seeking to fulfill is own ambition. Yet, she knew she spoke truth involving the Sith. If anything, her words would draw out the truth from him. With it, the other Knights would blindly follow, or realize that Antares was simply using them and stand aside.

As Anya spoke the other Knights fanned out completely encircling the duo. All of them waiting for the word from Antares. Although none of them held no ill Whill towards the General and were just following orders they did know about the girl. Everyone had heard of the way she acted when she first came to the Knights years ago. In fact one of them had been in the room when it happened. She spoke of striking when the Sith were admitted into the Empire yet her own darkness was worse than any Sith at the time.
Yes I should have then, but there was history to back it up and I thought there was a plan. He was not the first Emperor to have us work alongside Sith and he wont be the last. I had hoped he, you he looked at the Nicademus would see reason and stop that. It didnt happen. Why even now the darkness inside you can hardly be held at bay. It seeps through you like sand through a clenched fist and you are no better than Delvaradus.
Although her words were right they rolled off him like water around a rock. They also fell upon dead ears with his Knights. All of them here knew of the plan before hand. Each one had been approached before hand discreetly. He had convinced each one that his words were right. That Nicademus was like a diseased animal and he needed to be culled before the rest were corrupt.
Look at her brothers, what did I say? Delvaradus has sunk his claws into this one. You say I, no WE follow the code blindly and yet you follow him without question. Your mind is already set that I am wrong. You are the one who is blinded, but I offer enlightenment, strike him down and we can all of us bring the Knights back to what they should be.

Anya watched as the Knights fanned out around them, causing Anya to tighten her stance. They were ready to strike, waiting only the word from Antares. She intended to be the first to respond. But she didn't move otherwise, only listened to Antares as he spoke. True the the Empire had used Sith before, the Empire Nicademus took over had been reformed by Sith. But despite talk of a plan, his words held no logic. The Sith, the remaining Sith that had stayed around after Sinistra's disappearance was involved with the Empire under Nicademus before the Knights were or at least the same time. In that moment, if it was against the code the held, they would have at least denied being involved. But they were there, even knowing what little they did about herself, they allowed her to stand with them. But he failed to fully see the control she held over her darkness in the moment.
When he continued on, speaking to the others Knights about her and that she was following him without question, he had failed to see the truth she stood to. In the moment, she had three choices, follow Nicademus, follow Antares, or simply walk away from them all. But she saw and believed in what Nicademus was aiming for so she couldn't walk away. Yet, she defended the general for what his goal was, not him. She had learned through the many years of training, going from place to place, experiencing different codes and beliefs so that in the end, she could truly see things with her own eyes and not blinded by a code. If she was blind, it would be because of her own beliefs and desires, no one else's. It was in those time she learned the truth about darkness and light and its balance. They existed in all beings and couldn't be erased. She learned from Gavin that light and darkness was different than good and evil.
Her cold stare changed slightly as a small smirk played on her lips. "Then you have proven yourself to be incompetent as a leader. To follow this code, but let the Sith run its course within the Empire under Nicademus from that first moment. To even allow me, knowing who I was and the darkness that rested inside, to be a Knight. You truly didn't stand up to keeping the Knights as they should have been, have you? Worried about public image? That why Panno, who you look so far down on, was allowed to be with the Knights? Is this nothing more than you no longer being the one leading the Knights and becoming a lackey?" Her hands opened and her chakrams fell only an inch before residing there in the air. After a second they began to spin, faster and faster until they could hear the sound of her blades splitting the air in a high pitched howl. "I follow not the man but the vision. I simply possess the open mind to the reality of the universe. Darkness stands in a different light than evil. But it seems what I believe is too much for you to handle. Perhaps I was never meant to be a Knight. Oh well."

Perhaps.
There was no persuading her and there was no point in trying. Especially when she was right. He was only in this for the power, Nicademus was just an obstacle in his way. Just as she was, and indeed so was Panno. Signalling for the Knights to strike he moved in. It was by his hand that Delvaradus would fall and if that meant that she had to die first than so be it.

Xeonon finally caught up to the Imperial Knights in time to see the others advancing on Nicademus and the girl. It was six against two, terrible odds for anyone. Especially considering one of those two was apparently unarmed. Willing his legs to go faster he raised his saberstaff like a spear and tossed it overhand.
Delvaradus!
With the aid of the force it sped up lethally so. In an instant it had hit a Knight approaching the duo from behind. Normally the Phrik in the cape and armour would have stopped the blade. However employing Ballistakinesis he sped the staff up to lethal speeds and it pierced the mans armour and came out the other side slowing enough for Nica to catch it if he was ready. A few seconds later he slammed into a second Imperial Knight. Although the Knight was armoured Xeonons momentum brought them both to the ground tumbling.

From the words of Antares, it was evident to Nicademus that his removal meant that the Imperial Knight could ascend to greater heights. Ambition gripped the heart of the Grandmaster, who most likely sought to remove the General and replace him with himself, making the Imperial Knights the leadership. Noticing the signal by the Imperial Knights, Nicademus readied himself for death. Deep down, he was grateful for the loyalty and words of Anya, who rose her sword in his defense and followed him out of devotion and not blind loyalty. Slowly the General closed his eyes, hearing the approaching lightsabers come ever closer to him...
Then a voice rang out, calling his name. That voice, it couldn't be... Nicademus turned immediately to see the speared Imperial Knight fall and notice the rushing Xeonon. Reinforcements had finally arrived and not a moment too soon. The General's comlink chimed, indicating the Storm Commandos were in position. Nicademus grabbed his comlink and barked his order loudly.
Kill them! Kill the traitors and their leader! I repeat, kill the traitors! Bring Antares down!
From the rooftops and hidden places, scores of laser bolts appeared and struck forth at the encroaching Imperial Knights, led by the traitorous Antares. Their precision and ferocity were all too known for Storm Commandos, whose trained eyes and high-tech weaponry were lethal, no matter what the distance.

Anya's body tensed as she prepped herself for the first move, though it was interrupted by someone calling Nicademus's name. She turned around, as she was sure everyone had and saw Xeonon throwing a saberstaff through one of the Knights. It was a move that reminded her of Gavin. It also made her wonder as to what his plans truly were. Either way, it didn't matter what it would prove as her attention feel on Antares again, Nicademus giving the orders and the rain of lasers following upon them.
She wasted now time with her attack. With the blaster fire, the other Knights would be distracted in defending themselves, letting Nicademus run for cover and get ready to fight. Without a moment's extra thought, her hands flew out in front of her, right over left, and her spinning chakrams flew at Antares. The Phrik blades were crafted with aid of Panno himself during her time with the Knights years ago. Deadly weapons, even deadly with her mastery of telekinesis. She put her focus into the blades, forcing them at Antares, making them extremely hard to simply block.

The attack was unexpected, all the Knights had been so focused on Delvaradus that the Commandos were able to sneak up on them. Thankfully for them they had the force. Antares ignored the shots, storm commandos or not he had to finish this. Three of the Knights formed a line to block the blaster fire, and deflect any larger projectiles. Although there was a lot they could hold for a while. Hopefully giving Antares time. But wait there is still one more unaccounted for.
Gwendoline the only other woman here besides Anya advanced towards Nicademus. Standing eye to eye with the man, the only difference was the length of her hair and her eyes. Unlike his blue hers were so brown they almost appeared black. With her lightsaber in her hand she walked the few feet towards him then struck. Stabbing forwards with her blade she hoped to pierce his heart
Fucking Stormtroopers. Fucking Solomon. He had hoped that Panno and the other two could have kept him occupied for a little bit longer. Obviously he had hoped wrong. There was no time to think now, it was just a matter of finishing this. Before that could happen however he had one problem. Anya and her silly weapons. Even with the telekinesis the first one was easy to block. Batting it away like a baseball player hits a foul he tried to deflect it towards the Storm Commandos. Maybe one would get hit. Maybe they wont.
The second one however; thrown a few moments after was a whole separate issue. It hit him, the Phrik scraping along his stomach armour it ended up catching in a chink between the abdomen and the chest. The blade piercing into his flesh half an inch he gripped the handle with his spare (left) hand and pulled it out. She wouldnt be getting this one back any time soon. Hopefully.
Charging towards her he let his momentum carry him he raised his right leg to kick her right in the chest. Imbuing his leg with the force he hoped to break through whatever defenses she had.

Things were getting hot. Despite rolling around on the ground he could feel everything going on around him. The Knights were no longer the hot shit. Although the odd blaster bolt hit near him none of them were directed at him, they were just poorly deflected from the other Knights. Although he could not place the name of the man he was wrestling with he remembered the beard. It was huge. It belonged to arguably the strongest Master here, or in the Knights. Coming in at 402 pounds if he wasnt currently on his back he would stand an impressive six foot nine inches. It was said this man could eat a Mountain of food and Xeonon would be but a drop in the mans diet
Even with his cybernetics Xeonon was hard pressed to keep up with the mans strength. It was surprise alone that allowed him to take the man down in the first place. The bearded Knight rolled on top of Xeonon and started wailing on him. The gauntlet gloves bit into his arm as he tried to cover up and he heard the metal on his right arm groan as it started to give way. Moving the cybernetic arm away Xeonon lost his sight as a gauntlet fist slammed into his face. His skin was cut and blood started to pool in his right eye socket.
Placing his hand on the giants stomach Xeonon flexed his palm and the cybernetic released a mini repulse in the concentrated area of his palm. Just like the man earlier the force of the blow was enough to kill. However it didnt. He heard the man growl in pain and his attacks faltered. Bones had to have broken and muscles had to have torn and ripped.
Now was his chance. Bucking his hips their positions changed now with Xeonon on top. Unlike his opponent Xeonon did not punch. Instead he he went for the eyes. Pushing his thumbs into the mans eyes his screams drowned out the blaster fire, the hum of lightsabers, even his own heart beat. The right hand sunk first and the screams suddenly stopped and the cybernetic crushed more than just the eye. Bone and brain would have squirted out had he not received a blaster bolt to the back.

Anya's right hand moved out to her right as the first chakram was blocked and launched at the commandos. Her left hand pushed forward to push harder into Antares as her right wrist twisted upwards, altering the path her weapon took, curving up into the sky before coming back at her. She never got the chance to make it to her as Antares was already making his way towards her quickly and had his right leg coming at her.
She let the Force surge through her, wrapping around her muscles, ready to enhance them with speed. However, it went passed the simply reality of running as it proceeded into her mind, augmenting her perception, letting everything thing become slower to her. If she would have waited a split second to long, he would have plowed through her as she dropped her right hand and stepped to her left, her left hand reaching down to her belt and removing her personal saber, which came to life as she slashed up at Antares's leg just above the knee.
Once she the saber was drawn, time went back to normal in her mind as her own speed died of, letting him hearing the sound of the igniting saber. She was now looking to take his leg, with her one chakram on course for the bottom half of his leg.

For most people having a lightsaber speeding towards there leg would lead to a bad day. Maybe a missing limb. However Antares was no ordinary person. Deluded? Yes. Powerhungry? Of course. However he was no slacker when it came to lightsaber combat. Or indeed any combat. Hearing the lightsaber activate he sprung up with his left leg and used his forward momentum to turn his kick into a spin that brought him in a clockwise motion.
Having thus unknowingly avoided the second Chakram in addition to the lightsaber to the knee the spin would end with him still facing Anya. However this time he would not use his body to attack her but his lightsaber. Following through with his little maneuver the lightsaber would be heading to the right side of HER neck in a diagonal motion. He doubted that attack would work as he saber was already going up but it would hopefully force her on the defensive.

The chakram landed at their feet as the saber cut nothing but air at Antares's spin. The saber came up as she stepped back and navigated her head out of the path of her own saber, yet she felt the burn as it slightly crossed her neck, leaving a mark. In the end, not a hindering wound, but as she stepped and spun back, she dropped the saber, the golden beam fading away.
Even when she turned back to Antares, she took another step back, knowing that she had lost the weapon in her hand, not to mention the spin gave her a split moment after Antares landed where her eyes weren't on him. Gavin had always taught her to limit her spins to only a needed basis as they provided openings in one's defense. Against a skilled opponent, that would be the last move. Along with that, she learned never to underestimate an opponent and assume they have the upper hand.
She took a breath, letting the small bit of pain from her wound flow into her to fuel her strength. Believing he was skilled with the Force to fight from a distance would keep both of them on the run, dodging, attacking, blocking with clear time to defend or counter. Yet, she could already tell he wasn't someone to take lightly in close range combat. Despite her intense training, he undoubtedly had seen many battles, giving him greater experience. She knew he chance was in getting close while finding the opening needed to unleash her stronger attacks without worrying about him being able to counter.

Despite the skill of the Imperial Knights there was just to much fire power directed at them. Every time one of them fell more shots were directed at the others. All that was left of the force of Masters was Antares and Gwendoline. The troopers would not dare shoot at Gwendoline from there position right now, not with the chance of hitting Delvaradus. Still half of them had their blasters aimed towards her back.
The soldiers were less stringent on Antares though. Despite Anya fighting against Antares they were unsure of her loyalty, and if a stray shot was to hit her well to bad. Before Antares could press his attack a blaster bolt struck him in the back. Stumbling forward closer to Anya he dropped his guard as he tried to regain his balance.

Anya could feel some of the blaster fire rain down around her. She cursed the troopers for firing on her when it should seem obvious that she was protecting Nicademus. Then again, as far as they were concerned, all the Knights were traitors and she wasn't getting the full barrage simply due to her fight. Despite this, she kept her focus on Antares, knowing she couldn't turn away.
When the bolt hit him and made him stumble forward, it was all the chance she needed. She focused the Force in her right palm as she took a step forward, closing the distance between them. As the blue swirling energy took shape in her palm, she thrust it forward to unleash a Force Burst straight into Antares's chest.

The Barloz-Class Freighter, Velvet Rose, glided down from orbit. Skimming the tree tops of the lush forest below, Vlad was homing in on a set of coordinates given to him by his contact.
Having had a falling out with the Jedi, Vlad still followed some of their beliefs, but he felt to constrained and restricted. Thus he opted out to do his own thing. Was it the right way to handle the situation? Hard to say. Was he considered evil for refuting the Jedi ways? Maybe. But he still did good works. Protecting and saving innocents. That was his way of life now. Helping bring balance and order to unstable systems, that was his purpose. He never used his emotions to fuel his powers, nor did he ever strike out in anger. That was a sure path to the dark side. It was bad enough his brother had fallen down that path many years ago. But he wasn't his brother. He walked the path of the righteous. Of the good and the just.
As Vlad continued to ponder his latest life choices, his R2 Unit, 'Clank' chirped at him.
"I see it too. I've located a clearing a few kilometers south of the RV point. I'll put us down there and proceed on foot."
Vlad then found a clearing large enough to fit the Rose. Once she was settled on the ground, Vlad unbuckled his restraints, stood up and walked to the ramp. He retrieved his brown cloak from the hook by the ramp and pulled it on. He raised the hood and strode down the ramp as it extended. As 'Clank' came rolling up, beeping and chirping at him, he merely called over his shoulder to the droid.
"You watch the ship. I don't want to come back this time and fund another nest of Mynocks in the cargo bay..."
The droid beeped something in response, but Vlad was already out of earshot. He wanted to get to the Muun's hut and get him off world before the powers that be decided that Vlad's older Imperial clearance codes were suspicious enough to warrant investigating. After all, the Rose wasn't equipped for offense. She was equipped for speed. And he really wanted to avoid getting her all filled full of holes. He was starting to like the ship. Vlad trudged through the forest, over roots and uneven, moss-covered ground. The cover of the forest was thick, so he remained on his guard. He wasn't expecting trouble, but trouble usually had a way of finding him, especially when he was deep in it, with no back up.
Not that he needed back up, he reminded himself. He was a proficient Force User and he was skilled with a lightsaber. He wasn't weak and he knew his way around shady spaceports. In a pinch, he could disappear with virtually no trace left behind. So he wasn't completely screwed if this situation went sideways.
As Vlad passed through a stand of trees thicker than most, the Muun's makeshift hut came into view. If the situation wasn't so dire for the Muun, the place actually looked rustic and idyllic in terms of a nice place to hide away from the galaxy. But this Muun's life depended on his abilities to get him off the planet. And Vlad intended to not let him down.

But this Muun's life depended on his abilities to get him off the planet. And Vlad intended to not let him down. *Simple indeed was the hut, incredibly lacking in distinguishing features. Indeed, it consisted of the barest elements necessarily to even be considered a "home." A simple log cabin, one shuttered window cut out of its front side, a thatched roof... To say nothing of what would await inside. There were minimal furnishings, crude items that were likely incredibly uncomfortable; no sign of civilized comforts in sight. To the average being, unthinkable that one could choose a lifestyle like this, free of even basic plumbing, on a non-primitive world.
Its sole resident was sitting, back facing the door, in a wooden chair at a rather ragged table, one that hadn't even attempted to be smoothed down. He seemed especially short, particularly for a Muun. The gray cloak that masked his appearance was tattered, suggesting great age and use. He seemed rather comfortable in it, however; his sole piece of comfort, perhaps?
The figure, though not watching the door, was still aware of the approach of an unfamiliar to the cabin. His hooded head lifted, turning slightly, though his face remained covered beneath the cloak.* "Oh, is there someone there?" *he inquired in a hoarse, curious tone.* "Visitors are not a common sight here. What is it you are seeking?"
