Takvor Hovsepian, one of the three traitors backing Savin into a corner, turns when something alerts him to Faina's approach, and he spits a string of curses at her while lunging forward to try and stab her through the center of her chest.
Faina, briefly distracted as she sees that Velia has lost a leg in the battle but is, with Savin defending her crumpled and unconscious body, still alive for the moment, is almost too slow to react to Takvor's attack, and yet, though her two-handed parrying of the blow is sloppy, still manages to quickly bring her lightsaber up and into position to prevent the attack from landing. Without pausing once her lightsaber screeches as it blocks Takvor's blade, Faina takes her right hand from her lightsber hilt and splays her fingers out to send a Forse Push towards Takvor in an attempt to send him sprawling backwards into Marrok, who is attacking Savin from the left side as the last of the traitors, Mamoru, attacks from the right.
Takvor, unable to keep him balance as the Force push washes over him, is cast back into Marrok, who slams into the wall and has the breath knocked from him when Takvor slams into him a mere fraction of a second later.
Savin, trusting Faina to handle Mamoru as his actions make his intent to handle Takvor and Marrok evident, lifts his lightsaber overhead in a two-handed grip while spinning around to face his targets, and then heaves the lightsaber downward to cleave Takvor in half from his right shoulder to left hip. Marrok blocks Savin's lightsaber, sparing Takvor for the moment, as Faina steps forward swiftly enough to block the blow Mamoru aims for Savin's back.
Shoving Mamoru backwards as their blades lock, Faina glances down briefly as she spots a lightsaber hilt laying on the ground, telekinetically pulling the hilt to her right hand and then looking back up in time to see that Mamoru, recovering his balance, is already moving back in towards her and on the offensive once more. Blocking Mamoru's attack, a feint for her left that she sees through and is able to parry, with the borrowed lightsaber she holds in her left hand, Faina sweeps her left hand from one side to the other to behead Mamoru.
Savin, having killed Marrok by stabbing him through the bottom of his chin through the top of his head after dodging the strike Marrok had aimed for his side, barely manages to block the blow Takvor sends for his shoulder, gritting his teeth as they lock blades and Takvor begins trying to push the hissing and wailing silver hued blades towards his neck. The locked sabers are nearly at his neck when Takvor grunts in pain, and Savin deactivates his lightsaber with a grateful nod to Faina when she withdraws her blade from Takvor's side and watches dispassionately as the last of the traitors falls to his knees and then onto his side.
No sooner has Takvor fallen than Faina and Savin are both nearly driven to their knees by the intensity of Brock's torment, unintentionally released through and amplified by the Force. Wiping the blood that has begun dripping from her nose, eyes nearly watering from the pain that has blossomed in her head, Faina tells Savin in a hoarse voice, "Have Commander Foresi get her medic in here to look after Velia," and then walks over to where Brock has fallen to his knees.
Knowing there is nothing she can say to lessen the anguish Brock must feel after being forced to slay his former teacher and mentor, and so Faina says nothing as she holds out a hand to help her friend up from the gore streaked ground, instead allowing her thoughts and emotions to be shared with him via the Force so that he knows how sorry she is that she asked him to share the burden of what needed to be done with her, how she mourns the loss of Nohor with him and regrets that he needed to be the one to carry out the sentence she handed down to his former mentor, and that she not only accepts the responsibility for all of the deaths that have occurred this night, but will also understand if he can never forgive her for what he was made to do.
