Midhrúen ~The Aldar~ In honour of their contributions to the liberation of Serenno, the Aldar princess, Lyrica Starlight, was accorded the title of Countess amongst the Jedi Lords, and was also given land. Acquiescing to her request, the star city, Aérondel was allowed to settle in the lush forest mountains beyond Saffia. Nestled between the mountains, the forests and a large mountain lake, Aérondel buried itself against the mountainside, between two great rivers, hidden, and the multitudes of the Aldar began their work to build the city of Midhrúen, also known as the Last Light, or Final Hope. Taking liberties with the permissions and ownership of the land, the great mountain from which two rivers feed down into the lands, eventually leading into the Great Lake, was named Ghuillond, the forest surrounding the eventual city was called the Everwoods, the western river was Ydrènn, the Eastern one was Fiélyr, and the Great Lake became known as the Mistwaters. Using the available resources of the land, along with what they brought from Archon with the star city, The Aldar swiftly established a modest looking city on the land, and began setting up farms and toiled the land. Docks were built by the Mistwaters edge, and a thriving set of industries from fishing and farming ensured a healthy trade and supply with between the Aldar and the various Lords and the population of Serenno at large. Although largely concealed now by the Everwoods and Ghuillond, Aérondel is fully capable of lifting off without excessive disruption to Midhrúen, but while landed, runs a semi-concealed starport for traffic management before entry into the Aldar city. Lyrica herself has a home in the city, but lives primarily in Riverswift Hall, set higher in the mountains of Ghuillond, where she holds court and receives visitors. Although consisting mostly of farms, a fishing village, and small docks, Midhrúen and the Aldar live quiet, peaceful lives, but all of the Aldar are Jedi Knights, regardless of whether they have other professions such as artisans, craftsmen, farmers, fishers, architects and so on. Visitors are happily welcomed, and often find hospitality and generosity as a common characteristic of the populace there.

[ Princess Lyrica Starlight | The Green | Midhrúen | Territories of the Jedi Lords | Serenno ] Attn: Tygalt Stormburner The first impressions many received, were they willing, when they entered the lands occupied by the Aldar, was the sense of exuberance, joy and profound peace that seemed to radiate throughout the entire region. Lyrica had invited Tygalt to accompany her back to Midhrúen on her chariot, pulled by two oversized hamsters, which she called changu. They were kind of cute, for eight-foot long hamsters.
The Everwoods, as the Aldar had taken to naming the fairly large stretch of forest surrounding the small city and the hidden city ship of Aérondel, was full of native Serenno fauna, but also home now to many of the Aldar’s unique creatures, plants and trees. The climate and the land was seemingly agreeable to them. As they reached the great outer walls of the city, a town crier called out, “The princess has returned! Princess Lyrica has returned!”
The princess smiled shyly, then turned to look at Tygalt, wondering how he would feel about the atmosphere and the people. The Aldar were watching them both with great fascination, with more than a few excitedly whispering, making note of the faint glow that surrounded the man. One of the marks of a Bloodsworn. Lyrica’s emotions were clear as day, and Tygalt would be able to easily tell she was happy, and yet still nervous.
“Our chefs already prepare a banquet,” she said, her eyes still on him, “in your honour.”

Not wishing to offend Lyrica, Tygalt had accepted the offered ride upon her Chariot drawn by the creatures she called Changu. His trusty steed, Orbak, followed closely behind the Changu drawn Chariot. No matter where Tygalt went, Orbak would always follow. Tygalt had saved Orbak when both of them were much younger, since then the pair had been almost inseparable. The Force created a bond between the two. As such, the Noble Knight need not ever worry about his steed disappearing or becoming lost.
As such, his attention was able to focus upon the forest they passed through and then the city that came into view. Despite the pact he had made with Lyrica, Tygalt still had much to learn about the Aldar and the Jedi Lords whom had taken control of Serenno. While he had intended to learn of the Jedi Lords in Saffia, his meeting with Lyrica had pulled him upon another path.
He felt the happiness and nervousness radiating from Lyrica. In truth, he felt a little awkward and uneasy having such a celebration thrown in his honour despite having done little more than swear an oath to serve the Princess and become a Bloodsworn. With one hand holding onto the chariot rails, he lifted the other and waved to the crowd, not wishing to disappoint them It's an honour... Your people certainly do love you a great deal it seems...

[ Princess Lyrica Starlight | The Green | Midhrúen | Territories of the Jedi Lords | Serenno ] Attn: Tygalt Stormburner Casting the knight a wistful look, Lyrica glanced down for a moment, feeling the tinge of sadness in her heart. Unlike most Aldar, Lyrica, like all royals, had closer kinship with the Sylvans, their ancestral forebears, and thusly, had access to certain emotions that most Aldar never experienced. Nevertheless, sadness was something all could feel, and those closest to the chariot heard Tygalt’s words and there was a split-second lull in the joyous mood, before sheer happiness returned.
Drawing on the encouragement of her people, Lyrica smiled again, but Tygalt would have felt the girl’s brief ache in her heart, and she made it no secret to her Bloodsworn.
“It is more than love, my brave knight,” said Lyrica, “we celebrate every day that we live, and are strong enough to rise from our rest. We celebrate, for we have perhaps, the Force willing, that much more time to be with those we care about. Such as the bond shared between you and your noble steed.”
She nodded in Orbak’s direction, admiring the horse, who certainly looked well looked after. Glancing at Tygalt again, the man would feel a sudden whimsical sense of curiosity coming from the princess, who now looked down at his hand, and she laid hers over his. There was a feedback of sensations that built up quite without either of them doing anything except lightly touching one another.
But Lyrica could feel her own palm resting over his, from his perspective, and her lips parted slightly in surprise. His hand felt hard, strong and heavy, while hers was frail, small, light and dainty. She felt how he felt and he would feel how she felt. And if she kept her mind open like that, the sensation could feedback between the two of them in a growing crescendo. It wasn’t unpleasant, but it was quite jarring if she allowed it to continue, so she quickly removed her hand.
Well, it seemed there were things she’d have to work out with Tygalt about how much touching they ought to allow themselves until they could better control or grow accustomed to the sensations. Further, she felt her cheeks lightly flushing at some tiny sensation in her heart, which she believed was being echoed by the knight himself.
The changu lumbered along the path through the Green of the town center, and up the path towards a Great Hall, where the smell of delicious food wafted down, it seemed to be where everyone was heading too.

The lull was almost imperceptible, and one he would have otherwise dismissed had it not been for the heart ache his comments seemed to cause Lyrica. It was a strange sensation feeling her emotions, but one he was already starting to adjust to. He filed his curiosity about the mater away for later when he was lone with Lyrica and could question her about it. For now, he just did his best to let himself be lost in the moment of celebration.
His gaze briefly followed Lyrica's nod toward Orbak. However he quickly turned back to look at the Princess as he felt her hand upon his own. The feedback of emotions was a little overwhelming as he felt both her hand and his own hand from two very different perspectives. There was a fleeting feeling of elation caused by her touch. Indeed her hand was frail, small, light and dainty, but there was an oddly calming effect it caused him along with a slew of emotions he did his best to suppress for the time being. One's he could sense were not solely originating from himself.
As she pulled her hand away, he quickly turned his face away from Lyrica in embarrassment as his cheeks flushed red as well. He did his best to dampen such feelings from their connection. That brief moment of contact and connection had already fed back a few emotions which could have spiraled well out of control. He was not keen to let them do anything similar again so soon, lest something happen because of them.
He then looked toward the Great Hall, smelling the aroma's of the food upon the air It... uhhh... it smells delicious...

[ Princess Lyrica Starlight | The Green | Midhrúen | Territories of the Jedi Lords | Serenno ] Attn: Tygalt Stormburner Lyrica did her best to keep Tygalt from getting overloaded on Aldar customs and cultures. She quietly explained a simple custom before they tucked into their meals. They were seated in the middle of a long community table draped with decorative laced cloth, in the royal colours of Lyrica's blue and gold. They gave thanks for their meal, and then dug in.
Lyrica chose her dish from the options arrayed before her. She cast a quick glance at him, “You do not have an aversion for meat, do you?”

Despite being an outsider, Tygalt was a fast learner and a good observer. He listened intently as Lyrica whispered an explanation or two to him, making sure to observe everything as it was explained to him. His gaze then sweeping over the feast arrayed before them. In truth he was a little surprised, since most tales that spoke of people like the Aldar tended to portray them as fiercely vegetarian's or vegan's Not at all. A balanced diet is important for a warrior. Meat is an important source of many nutrients. Some meat preparations also help nourish the soul. An equally important part of life...

[ Princess Lyrica Starlight | The Green | Midhrúen | Territories of the Jedi Lords | Serenno ] Attn: Tygalt Stormburner Lyrica graced him with a smile, “Some people mistakenly believed we would never partake of meat,” she said, “but as you have said, we need meat. We have game hunters who go tracking on certain days, and we have farmers who raise animals for food.”She turned to smile at a man who bowed with his head as he walked past, his attire and straw hat strongly suggesting he was one of the farmers the princess spoke about.
She seemed genuinely pleased overall, and Tygalt could sense this easily from her. As she picked at her food lightly, eating with dainty and graceful movements, she carried on a light and easy conversation with anybody and everybody, and now and then injected queries of her Bloodsworn, “Would you tell us a little about yourself, my good knight? How did you come to be here?”Her voice carried a little more clearly than necessary, given their proximity, so perhaps it was for the benefit of those seated nearer to them.

He returned her smile as he slowly picked at the food, his ears taking on a shade of red at her comment about mistaken beliefs. It seemed perhaps that his connection with her had betrayed the errant thoughts he had briefly had about her and her people. But it was also possible such misconceptions were abundant enough for her to comment on them, and his terrible poker face in that moment was more than enough.
His gaze followed her own, as one of the aforementioned farmers passed by the table. That interaction combined with the small talk that followed further reinforced the sense of love he could tell her people had.
He continued to partake of the feast set before him, making sure not to get too engrossed in it. Something he was grateful for when Lyrica asked him to tell how he had come to be here. The amount of ears that perked up and pairs of eyes that suddenly turned toward him made clear indeed that her question had indeed been for those seated nearby. He swallowed some water, washing down the food and nerves as he tried to gather his composure Oh... Well... It's not a particularly happy tale I'm afraid. I was born and raised on Serenno, the Stormburner was one of the minor nobility families. We didn't command great estates with servants waiting on our every whim... No, we had a humble villa out in one of the smaller villages. It was there that my parents raised me and taught to fight, so that I could fight for those that could not fight for themselves. Something I did a lot of during the Dark Times... Many lives were saved, but... a lot of lives were also lost... He took a moment of pause, raising the glass to his lips to take a drink. Allowing the pause in his story to let the events so far sink in Once the war was over, and my village was safe, I set out across Serenno. I had made my way to Saffia, intending to pledge my blade to the Jedi Lords. It was there that I swore an oath to Lady Starlight...

[ Princess Lyrica Starlight | The Green | Midhrúen | Territories of the Jedi Lords | Serenno ] Attn: Tygalt Stormburner Lyrica and indeed, most of the Aldar nearby listened with great interest as Tygalt gave a brief overview of himself. The princess for her part was quite intrigued to know that he was of Serenno. She laughed lightly, her voice like tinkling chimes, “My good knight, you make it sound as if it were such a long time ago that this happened.”Her expression became more somber after a moment, and she raised her chalice, “To the fallen. May their deeds and heroism ever be remembered.”“To the fallen.” the Aldar chorused.
After drinking, she replaced the chalice and turned to Tygalt as if to speak, but suddenly turned away and lowered her head, her left hand shooting up to cover her mouth as a coughing fit overtook her. It was so severe, she gripped the table edge with her other hand. The mood of the Aldar significantly dipped at this, with a fair few lowering their heads or looking on helplessly. Tygalt would be able to see there were none who looked older than their twenties at best.
When she finally was able to draw a shaky breath, Lyrica was clearly fatigued, paler than ever, and she had been carelessly wiping blood from her nose and mouth.“P-perhaps it is best I retire for the night...” said Lyrica, her voice only a little above a whisper.
She decided that it would be best to take refuge within the city itself. The journey to Riverswift Hall, though short, would be far too arduous now for her. Tygalt could feel her illness like a disgusting taint on their Bond. Yet, her thoughts were of Tygalt and his comfort. “Tygalt, have you a dwelling nearby? If not, would you let us avail you with one?”A number of Aldar perked up, as if they'd just been offered Lifeday presents on the spot.

I try to remind myself of the peace the Jedi Lords have helped bring to Serenno, to help combat the decades worth of fighting I've endured... Her melodious laughter helped ease the pain he felt in that moment. Thankfully the call for a toast to the fallen helped mask his sorrow. He raised his own chalice and repeated the call To the fallen... He lowered the chalice and paused a moment, remembering some of the people who had fought alongside him and were no longer with him. He lifted the chalice to his lips and took a drink. He placed it back upon the table a few moments later in time to turn toward Lyrica just as her coughing fit began. He reached out and gripped her shoulders, trying his best to help steady her. There was still a lot he had to learn about the Aldar, but even he knew there was little he could do to help.
When at last the fit subsided, he did not release his grip upon her. He was certainly in agreement that Lyrica would need to retire for the night. But her first thoughts were upon him and asking after if he had shelter nearby You idiot... The words were whispered, barely audible for anyone but Lyrica to hear and quite involuntary. He sighed and wordlessly swept Lyrica up into his arms, supporting her shockingly frail form with ease. He rose to his feet, his gaze dropping down to meet Lyrica's My dwelling is where ever you are, Princess. I have no wordly possessions left but Orbak, the clothes and weapons I wear, and the oath I swore to you... So where are we going?

[ Princess Lyrica Starlight | The Green | Midhrúen | Territories of the Jedi Lords | Serenno ] Attn: Tygalt Stormburner Lyrica couldn't help the surprised yip that escaped her when Tygalt just swept her off her feet quite literally and gently rebuked her. She blushed at the amount of compassion shown, and for once in her life, she allowed the burden of conduct and propriety slip off as she borrowed the strength so freely offered by the man. Moreover, he had no idea just how much he'd impressed the Aldar with such gallantry. There were some soft gasps and a few smiles. Lightly wrapping her arms around the man for balance and support, she replied to him.“Such gallantry, my good knight,” she said with a small smile, “Orbak will have the finest stables a horse could have. Up yonder on that hill, is my home, when I am not residing at Riverswift Hall, where we shall be going on the morrow. For tonight, we rest here.”Using their Bond, Lyrica imparted the location of her dwelling, and drawing on the Force, she Sent ahead to her attendants to prepare Tygalt a room, lest he arrive to find them ill-prepared. She needn't have worried, though, as it turned out her people already anticipated this from the moment word reached the Aldar that the princess had established a Bond, and now had a Bloodsworn.“Thank you Tygalt,” said Lyrica, “but worry not. I will live yet a little more.”The truth was Lyrica didn't know that. The Royals tended to die at younger ages, due to their even more frequent and greater uses of the Force. Using that much power so frequently drained them and accelerated the effects of the Curse. But Lyrica swept that from her mind and focused on watching Tygalt, and also minding the Bond, to avoid a feedback of sensations, like how much she actually enjoyed being in his arms.

Tygalt blushed and averted his gaze a few moments after picking Lyrica up, doing his own best effort from letting his feelings bleed through the Bond as well. They were quite the pair, each one trying to protect the other from the flow of emotions they both so intensely. To take his mind off of it, he shifted his gaze quickly across the room. He gave a nod to Lyrica when he met her smile for a moment before making his way across the hall and outside. From there, he relied upon the new found knowledge she had imparted upon him. It was a strange and foreign sensation that he could hardly describe It's fine Prince... Lyrica. But you will absolutely live a little longer. Just get some rest, I'm here now... He carried her up the indicated hill and straight to the residence that was there. He did not relinquish his hold of Lyrica until he gently deposited her upon her bed. At least from there she would have little choice but to get prepared for bed and rest Don't forget what I said. Get some rest, I am your sword and shield now... He flashed her a smile, before taking his leave of her chambers. But he did not travel far. For as soon as he was outside of the doors, he unbuckled his sword and sat down upon the floor. His back resting against the wall, while resting his sword from his lap up against his shoulder. It was a position in which he had slept many nights, ready to spring into action. While he was well aware he was in a safe haven, he did not intend to be far from Lyrica's side that night

Continued from here.Sailing across the sky at a leisurely rate, a Wayfarer-class medium transport known as the Halcyon dipped beneath the fluffy white clouds and began its descent towards the Aldar capital of Midhrúen. The rebel general, Endor, stood in the cockpit behind the pilot as the city came within view. He let out a whistle that nearly cracked the transparisteel windshield with its heightened pitch. The General rested his rough hands on his belt, chest puffed out as he studied the Aldar city with a mixture of awe and respect. It was more what went unseen that spoke to the former forest druid, who shared a deep connection to the Living Force. Midhrúen, to his leafy green eyes, was a beacon of light. He grinned his usual bearish expression and turned towards Katja, resting a hand on her shoulder as the ship came down to land at the starport, to which he gave a firm squeeze."I don't need to know what these Aldar are like to tell they are good people." His grin stretched just a fraction further, putting his surprisingly clean gums on full exhibition for her as he made his point. "I'll try to stay on my best behaviour." His bushy brows scrunched as he considered something, then looked over at the chalk white horned alien plucking feathers off a bird carcass in one corner of the cockpit, much to the chagrin of Katja's pilot. "Redclaw, you better stay here. I don't know much about these Aldar but we can't have them mistaking you for some kind of feral wampa cub." Before the abominable snowok had a chance to fling his coffee cup across the cockpit at the General, Endor had already exited with Katja and the two were on their way towards the lowering boarding ramp. The General could be heard regaling the Captain with one of his signature and often retold jokes as the pair of them were walking down the platform and off the ship."...and that's when Grand Moff Tarkin turns to Darth Vader and says, that's no Wookiee, that's my wife! Har Har Har!" Endor's belting laugh could be heard halfway across the starport.

[ Princess Lyrica Starlight | Mistwater Starport | Midhrúen | Ossus ] Attn: Tygalt Stormburner & EndorAn Aldar garbed in clothing seemingly made of leaves and bark, turned and blew on a strangely shaped conch shell, creating a haunting, almost melodious tune. He then replaced the horn on a hook hanging from his belt and bowed to the large man and his companion.
When he straightened up, his eyes seem to gleam in the sunlight, and he said, “Her majesty, the Princess, Lyrica Starlight, approaches.”
He turned away from the visitors to kneel before the young woman, who had chosen to fly over, followed by a small entourage of other winged Aldar. The wings ranged from bird-like, insect-like to even dragon-like. Lyrica herself had wings akin to a butterfly's, and she wore shimmering toga-like dress that bared her back and most of her legs, and boots made of some unknown velvet material. Her dress appeared to have a pearlescent multi-hued quality that was both translucent and not at the same time. Most of the flying Aldar were similarly dressed, apparently favouring this style for freedom of movement and minimal hindrance to their wings.
Though she had only recently gained them, Lyrica used the Force and her wings seamlessly, giving her grace and agility, she soared close and landed before Endor and Katja, smiling breathlessly, and bowed low.
“Welcome to Midhrúen,” said the girl, “I am Lyrica. We may dispense with titles if it is agreeable with you.”
Her wings fluttered rapidly as she folded them behind her and studied the newcomers with open interest and friendliness.
“I was told of your visit, but I admit that I am spare on details.”
Further along the spaceport, several transports pulled by creatures that resembled extremely large hamsters were ambling over towards the growing crowd before the Wayfarer-class transport.
