The Resurgence continued forward, with the Law and Order following in its wake. As the jamming systems finally had enough power diverted to them, Captain Lasek ordered them brought online. The last thing they needed was the enemy having an easy target on them. With their enemy blinded, Arlan ordered a blind barrage toward the planet from all three vessels. The more damage and confusion they caused, the better for the AALs and Transports that launched from the ships moments later. Using the cover of the barrage to make for the planets atmosphere. None of the three ships slowed their approach as they kept on their courses towards Ossus. The raiding force hurtled through the void towards the surface in the pseudo-metal coffins, which would likely be more true for some than others

With their forces clear of orbit, Captain Lasek was able to put his full attention to the orbital skirmish. Although their initial entry gave them the element of surprise, enemy capital ships were already starting to scramble. The Law and Order held their positions just behind the Resurgence. It was the larger craft and the spear head of this strike. It was also better equipped to bare the grunt of an attack by multiple ships. The point being proven moments later, as the enemy capital ships fired upon the Resurgent class Star Destroyer

The Resurgence pushed its way back into orbit, loaded with the forces it had collected from the surface. The main guns were focused on clearing a path through the enemy forces that stood between it and freedom. The Law and The Order did their best to provide what covering fire they could, before falling in around the Resurgence as they all pulled away from Ossus. Once free of the gravity well, all three vessels disappeared into hyperspace

* The Errant Fyre comes out of hyper space and moves into a high orbit around the Planet. Thrakk moves from his chamber inside the ship to the cockpit and looks out at the planet below. He could see a fair bit of debris still floating throughout the area, most likely from the incursion that had just been done by the First Order some days prior. All in all there was not much left over from the aftermath of the battle, a different sight to see then per usual. For the battles the he had taken part in with the FO had left grave yards of destroyed battle ships in their wake, but then again that is the the glory of conquest.
Disappointing that the Jedi where no longer as powerful as they once where, it almost takes the enjoyment out of fighting them. This battle would have been fought on a much larger scale some years ago, but like anything else power comes and it goes and it finally seemed as if the Jedi where gone.
Thrakk turns his attention back to the matter at hand, he could feel his time was running short through the force. Nodding to his pilot, he turns and heads back to the main area of the ship. The Errant Fyre banks downwards as it heads planet side. All the while sending a message on open broad cast that the ship was their to take part in relief efforts*

Having been ordered to let the First Order's incursion against the Jedi Temple happen, the IDFN's ships reappear by decloak or drop from hyperspace. The entire navy begins a global patrol to prevent any more enemy support ships from rendering aid, and any enemy ships on the ground from coming up. Riddick was on the surface, to take care of whatever was left on the planet.

After speaking with some of the designers, engineers and lead technicians from the world's preeminent tech and aerospace firms, Riddick sets out for the core, escorting an armed freighter transport in his infamous starfighter. Once clear of the gravity well and ATC protocols, he and the transport make the jump to hyperspace. The home station fleets kept their vigil, along with the Golan-supported planetary defense grid.

The neglected space of Ossus was soon alive with fresh activity. A fleet of vessels, exiting hyperspace, converged over the sacred world of the Jedi Order. The command ship, the freshly constructed Orion-class Battleship, Orion, was a looming presence among the other vessels. The bridge was active, not battle stations, but active in the sense of much to do. Squadrons were being given their orders, companies of soldiers assembled within the hangar bays, and crews of non-military personnel were debriefed on their roles. It was one of the first actions of the Jedi Lords to claim new worlds and, in particular, reclaim old Jedi ones. Malvern chose to stake his claim on Ossus, which was approved by the other nobles and knights of his peers. Gathering his troops and ships, the fleet departed for Auril Sector.
Malvern handed command of his fleet over to Commodore Drek Ardorius, a faithful baron of Fiyarro. It was show time as Lucien went down below to join the troop and civilian shuttles. They all knew what to expect due to the known reports of the Ren's devastating attack on the Jedi Praxeum. There was a lot to do, a lot to rebuild, and all for the future of the Jedi, both the Lords and the Order. Once the greenlights were given, swarms of shuttles and starfighters zoomed out of the hangar bay and departed for the planet's surface.

All continued on with the newest of activity of Ossus now that it had fallen under the influence of the Jedi Lords. An order of Jedi similar in nature to the order many knew of, though carried distinguishable differences. These distinctions were enough for a few to even believe that this was a completely different group, completely separate from the order that had thrived for millenia. In a way, it was, though not as much as such believed. They took rankings of nobility and were more militaristic than the average Jedi and seemed to pursue justice in a different manner.
It was these thoughts and rumors that brought forth the newest arrival to the steady flow of traffic in the system. From the depths of hyperspace, a heavily modified CR90 corvette emerged from the Perlemian Trade Route that ran close to the system in which Ossus existed. It and Felucia's proximity to the route as well as to each other made the trip a relatively quick one, providing little time to think. Even after the weeks of debate on the matter before departing the jungle world, Vakim still wondered if this was the right choice regarding his future. In the end, not being certain in the matter was the better option for it allowed him to keep an open mind as well as to see the larger and smaller pictures. Considering that this group was also Jedi, should he change his mind, it would be nothing to simply leave on good terms.
Slowly, the world of Ossus began to grow in front of them as the Chistorian Jedi stood arms crossed on the bridge as he spoke to the captain. "I'm deeply thankful for the years of service you and this crew have given me, Captain Hital. But you need not follow me on this path. This journey could very well be my last as a member of the Jedi on Felucia and I do not wish to take you from that."
The older man that sat in the captain's chair laughed a bit before turning towards the towering reptilian.
"As always sir, your concern for your crew and our wishes is appreciated. However, our loyalty did not exist with the Jedi perse. We served Master Helstra while she was alive and since they have passed our loyalty to you. Where you go, so do we. Proudly, I might add. So don't concern yourself with these thoughts. You are still young and shouldn't let this kind of thinking weigh you down. Believe me, your body will thank you."
Large emerald eyes closed behind the horned helm that adorned Vakim's face in silent resignation. There was no convincing the old man differently. For that, Vakim was thankful. Letting the matter pass, he opened his eyes as the world was much closer now. It was here that communications needed to be sent if only to push forward with the reasons he was here. Signaling to his communications officer to open a channel, he waits patiently until it was verified a channel had been found and opened.
Attention. I am Vakim Terrek, Jedi of the Felucian temple. I come seeking to speak with one from the order of Jedi Lords.
Nothing more was said for the time being as he felt that enough information was given to press forward with any approval for a meeting. If not, he'd answer the questions asked of him. To any who were close enough to see the corvette, they'd notice the dark gray hull that was accented in a fiery orange with an X-83 Twintail of the same coloration attached beneath it.

Attention. I am Vakim Terrek, Jedi of the Felucian temple. I come seeking to speak with one from the order of Jedi Lords.
A detachment of Orion Squadron hovered over the planet of Ossus. This was namely due to the visit of the Lord Commander to the newly acquired system. Duke Malvern had been giving the planet some much needed attention in order to ensure that its role with both the Jedi Lords and the Jedi Order was revived. As such, the battlecruiser, Orion, and four Chevalier-class Destroyers patrolled over the barren surface of the planet. As such, it was Baroness Vale that detected the arrival of the modified CR90 and the transmission from a Jedi of the Felucian sect.
A squadron of Pheonix Jedi Interceptors shadowed the small vessel as the Admiral made a quick check on things to verify who was speaking as well as the IFF of the vessel in question. Ossus was a far ways out and they had a tendency to run more into pirates than anything. It was always best to check before reacting. When everything seemed on the up and up, a transmission went back to the approaching vessel.=Admiral Vale= Jedi Terrek, this is Admiral Vale of the warship, Orion. It seems the Force is with you today as the Lord of Ossus is paying a visit to the planet. Duke Malvern was last known to be in Knossos, speaking with the Administrator of Ossus. I will give you clearance to land and speak with him directly.

As they awaited word to grant them permission and guidance on where to go, the Chistori set his gaze upon the ships that grew in the distance. Five in total made up of a large vessel with four smaller ones, each one about a quarter of its size. Though many ships existed within the galaxy, there were no hints of familiarity within them, making Vakim wonder if they were newly crafted designed by the Jedi Lords or simply a new model that was recently developed and had yet to be seen by the galaxy as a whole. Whatever the reason mattered not as it was an impressive sight.
Soon, a squadron of fighters of an elegant, yet intimidating shape surrounded the corvette. No doubt ready to engage should anything come back off in their checks. It was a common procedure and brought now worry to the Jedi. He had no doubts in everything coming through clear. Sure enough, it wasn't much longer before a voice came across the speakers. To think that one of the Jedi Lords, the one who governed this world was sometimes elsewhere surprised him a bit, making him wonder what all this man did within this act of Jedi. Were they that active in combatting criminals and other beings of evil intent? Or was it rare for this world to harbor a Jedi as they had another world that functioned as their headquarters, much like the temple on Felucia? Another matter that was of little concern as fate smiled upon him in this instance since this Lord was present.
Taking a breath, Vakim spoke The Force does seem to have passed to us great fortune if one of the Jedi Lords is indeed present. I thank you for the clearance. We will prepare to make our descent to Knossos at once. I will be detaching my X-83 to land separately from my corvette. I do not wish for my sudden action to stir suspicion or incite an engagement.
WIth his message sent, Vakim turned to Captain Hital. "I will inform you once my fighter is detached. Follow close behind and update me if there are any changes in our flight path." Giving the Jedi a salute, Vakim turned and departed the bridge. His massive feet carried heavy footfalls, making it seem as if something massive was moving down the hall. In the beginning, when he was still an apprentice, it freaked out some of the crew. Luckily, they quickly adapted.
Reaching the docking ring leading to the underside of the ship, Vakim climbed down into his starfighter. Powering up the systems, the cockpit closed around him as he awaited the green light for engine start-up.

It was but a few moments before he got confirmation that the fighter was ready for a safe start. It wasn't a task or even truly dangerous to go into an immediate start-up, yet, it was always good, when one had the opportunity, to take it slow and let their vessels power up properly without the immediate push. The better a ship was treated, the longer it would last.
Pressing a few more buttons, he opened comms to the bridge of the Fireblaze. Captain, I am preparing to detach. Follow the coordinates to the capital and land in the designated area. Once there, have the crew go out and enjoy themselves. I don't foresee us leaving for a little while.
With confirmation given from the captain, Vakim detached from the ship. The clamp holding the fighter in place released its hold on the fighter as it began to drop away from the corvette slightly. Once he deemed it far enough away, Vakim activated the engines and the craft pressed forward. Once the bridge crew got sight of the X-83, the CR90 followed suit towards the planet below.

Exiting darkspace short of Ossus' naturally formed gravity well, the ro'ik chuun m'arh 'Price of Pain' drifted slowly towards the planet. Since departing the Unknown Regions, the vessel had been heading core-ward, intent on delivering Executor Nem of Domain Yin as close to Coruscant as feasible for his meeting with the Emperor. Beneath the lone spikey protrusion of bone at the prow of the organic frigate were a series of several metallic spines, known as oggzil. These bio-engineered devices acted in a sense as antenna, allowing the ship's villip choir to interface with the electronic frequencies the infidel races used to communicate with at distance. Electrical current crackled along the length of the spines as the vessel began to try to broadcast an open channel to anything on the planet capable of receiving it.
Nem watched from the bridge, leaning over the qahsa console connected to the choir. He looked the part of a reaver, clad in all dark attire with a an ankle length long coat of robeskin that ended in decorative hooks of bone. The bio-luminescence projected by lambents embedded in the yorik-coral walls did little to dim the brilliant glow of his emerald green mqaaq'it ocular implants, peering into the depths of a molted ball that was symbiotically capturing his image and transmitting it through the choir to the planet below. If whoever called the planet home had holographic technology, they would be able to receive data for a full three-dimensional rendering of the Yuuzhan Vong intendant.
Ossus control, this is the Yuuzhan Vong vessel 'Price of Pain'. My name is Nem of Domain Yin, Executor of the Praetorite Vong. I know our reputation but I assure you our intention in the system is peaceful. I have a proposal for whoever is in charge of the planet, one I believe they may find of unique value.
It was a long shot but nothing was ever gained without taking the first step forwards. After leaving things the way he had with Xarl, Nem needed to know he was doing something right by pursuing an agenda of coexistence with the infidel races. His own people had made it clear to him that they thought him a fool for trying, but if he could show them that is was possible through some magnanimous act, then perhaps the visions of death and war would clear from their eyes and they could see the people of this galaxy as he did. Not as infidels or enemies; rather, as individuals, widely diverse and as equally deserving to the bounty of this galaxy as his own people believed themselves to be. It would not be easy, but he knew in his organ grafted heart that it was his duty to set the example.

It didn't take much for there to be a reaction. The transmission, both heard by the Duke and his command staff, reacted accordingly nonetheless. The Vong had not been to Ossus since the time of Kol Skywalker and the ruined Ossus Project that sparked a galactic scale war. This was a natural reaction in terms of making a show of force and indicating that the planet was secure and well-defended. So, from among the ships belonging to the Duke's personal fleet, several were deployed. From the northern pole, Vong sensors would detect the oncoming of five warships, all of which were newer models, crafted by the Jedi Lords.
At the lead was the Duke's capital ship, the Orion-class Battleship, designated Orion as it was the first and only of its kind at present. Following up were what could be identified as destroyers, the Chevalier-class. The names of these four gave of airs of majesty and stalwart defenders. These five vessels did not advance upon the Praetorite's vessel, but put themselves between the Vong and the surface of Ossus nonetheless. For a time, there was only this response. The ships were soon joined by starfighter squadrons that came from the surface's aerospace bases. Yet, they too did not advance, simply join the taskforce and remain alert.
Eventually though, a transmission was sent back. After a small discussion, Duke Malvern decided that, in his capacity as Lord Protector of Ossus, he would address the Vong directly and speak on behalf of the whole world's populace and local government. The image of a middle-aged human in noble, yet Jedi-like, robes stood before the Executor.
I am Lucien Malvern, Duke of Kingwood, Count of House Malvern, and Lord Protector of Ossus. Forgive the display of force, we do not get many visitors beyond our own colleagues of the Jedi Lord ranks. Especially none of the kind that come from the far reaches of the Unknown Regions. In a galaxy, known for its chaos, we must do what is necessary to protect ourselves.
Lucien did what was necessary in his role as Lord Protector. It was his job to serve the people that were his subjects after all.
Executor of the Praetorite, what is your proposal?

In the past had Nem seen five warships headed his way, he would have turned tail and made the jump to darkspace, leading the pursuing vessels on a chase from system to system until he could ditch them in a nebula or asteroid field. However, he wasn't a pirate anymore, as much as it would break Captian Arkan Bloodrage's heart to hear it. Situations like this called for a calm and collected head, despite his every instinct telling him otherwise. Besides, from what he could ascertain the warships had simply blockaded the planet, an understandable precaution when a Yuuzhan Vong warship shows up in ones system.
The Executor studied the image of the Duke, noting a touch of opulence to the human's attire that seemed fitting given the title of nobility, though not overdone as he had seen with some other royals. That the man seemed willing to listen and hadn't started blasting away with turbolaser fire at the first sight of them was a fairly good sign the being was reasonable. Too often the Yuuzhan Vong found themselves targeted for simply being themselves, which he supposed was fair given their history. Still, that was why he was here after all, to take the first step towards changing those preconceptions. The image of Nem flickered as he released the molted ball in his hands and offered a grateful bow, the villip choir now fully translating his image without the need to maintain physical contact with it.
As Lord Protector of Ossus I am certain you are aware of the failed Ossus Project my people contributed to in the past; after all, those events served to shape the political sphere of the galaxy we live in now. While the original project was an unmitigated disaster, I have never believed the idea of utilizing Yuuzhan Vong bio-technology to repair the planet's environment was at flaw, but rather the failure was the poor end result of sabotage committed by the Sith. Also, while I have nothing but the utmost respect for Master Shaper Nei Rin's abilities, her inattentiveness during the project allowed for events to deteriorate into the series of misfortunes that ultimately befell it. Master Shaper Mira Yim, who currently serves at the Praetorite Vong's foremast bio-engineer, assures me that had she be present during the project, such an ill fate would not have been allowed to occur. He paused to catch his breath, then continued. Duke Malvern, as I am sure you have already surmised, as the Praetorite Vong's leading representative, I would like to propose a renewed Ossus Project to continue where the original efforts failed. I believe full heartedly in my people's transformative terraforming technology, and with a new security focused approach, that the project itself can be successful.
By all the Yun'o in the stars above, which he didn't actually believe in, that was a mouthful to get out.
I am eager to hear your thoughts on the matter.

How... convenient and strange, thought the Jedi. Lucien had been speaking with top scientists, leading biologists, and known terraforming species, such as the neighboring Neti on the moon of Nerit. Ossus had once been a paradise, according to the ancient Jedi texts, dating as far back as Ood Bnar. Legends among the native Ysanna spoke of a paradise too, a utopia of lush greens, vibrant flowers, and wide open blue seas. The world had once been teeming with life beyond measure and it was truly a bounty that had been enjoyed by the tribes and Jedi before the cataclysm. Duke Malvern wanted to see that dream realized again. He had heard of the Imperials terraforming Caamas and the Coalition's attempt to do the same in restoring Froz. Ossus... could be a pinnacle for the Jedi to achieve.
How strange, Executor Yin. I have long looked over the historical records concerning the Ossus Project. It has been on my mind for some time. I have invited all kinds of specialists and scientists to discuss, by pieces, restoring the surface of Ossus to the glory that it was before. The Ysanna tribes are divided on the matter, but if it can be done, they will likely be more than happy. There are still Sith in the galaxy, but Ossus is... alone. Sabotaging a new project won't spark a galactic war that could gain them an advantage.
The Duke remarks through the holotransmission. Lightly, his fingers tap twice at the side of his person.
I will grant you an audience at Harcey Castle where I live. I do not think it wise to transport you to the capital. I will bring the government officials and allied Ysanna leaders to my keep so that there can be a full discussion on your proposal, Executor. Your people's project showed great results before. This time, those results could go much further and be without hinderance. Perhaps, Ossus could thrive again as it did before.

The Duke had a castle? That almost seemed fitting given the theme. What was more intriguing to the Executor was that by the sounds of it some efforts had already been undertaken by the Lord Protector to pursue the same goal, even if the methods wouldn't be exactly the same. Part of him had questioned the wisdom in making this stop and postulating a renewed project, but now he was glad that he had. Just think, if they were successful in restoring Ossus, then perhaps another world would seek similar assistance from the Yuuzhan Vong once they heard what they were capable of. In a few decades their tarnished reputation might even be repaired if not improved upon at the very least. He would have to be careful though. Nothing could be allowed to go wrong this time around...nothing.
Excellent. Came his quick reply. Transmit surface coordinates and I shall make my way there at once in one of our shuttle craft.
Disconnecting from the choir, Nem took a step back and regarded the main view-spider on the bridge, reminding himself again that there were still five warships between the 'Price of Pain' and his meeting on-world. With a single snap of his fingers he summoned his personal scribe, a decrepit chazrach of advanced years, given to the Executor for exemplary service during the events of the invasion. It hobbled over to the Intendant and stood at his side, staring up at him with its eager reptilian features. It wasn't truly sentient, not in the way the Yuuzhan Vong or humans were, though it was more than capable of transcribing every spoken word the Executor uttered, along with carrying several important personal items of his such as his hand-held qahsa, essentially the organic version of an infidel datapad. Turning to leave the bridge, Nem made his way towards the rear of the ship, his faithful servant limping after him as best it could. By the time he arrived at the yorik-trema 'Blood Chalice', he was already making plans to bring Mira Yim into this latest venture. They'd need quite a few supplies from Zonama Sekot to pursue this challenge, though the scope of what it would entail was still largely up to question. It was possible the Duke would want them to limit their efforts to a small area on the planet, therefore less likely to run into the same disaster that befell it the last time this was attempted.
Nem and his chazrach passed through the organic shuttle's hatch-sphincter which sealed behind them, a pilot inside was already warming up the dovin basals through commands issued from the cognition hood engulfing his head, symbiotically connected to the Yuuzhan Vong through hooks of bone that pierced the flesh around his collar bone. The Intendant took a seat in the back as the Blood Chalice's arrest tentacles unlatched from the larger ro'ik chuun m'arh, separating what looked like a molted ball of flesh from the Price of Pain's rear. A long whip like tail thrashed in the void, almost appearing to propel the organic shuttle, though in truth that was mostly the work of the gravitational manipulations of its dovin basals.
A short time later the living transport was on its way towards the surface of the planet.

Emerging from hyperspace, an HWK-290 light freighter entered the system. The ship's transponder registered the vessel as the 'Drunken Mynock'. Aboard the tiny transport, a grizzled old Ewok manned the controls, angling the ship towards the planet. He switched on the comm array and sent a tight beam transmission to the ships blockading the planet. This is Cap'n Tarfang of the transport Drunken Mynock. I'm trying to reach the Jedi Lords with an urgent request for help.

This is Cap'n Tarfang of the transport Drunken Mynock. I'm trying to reach the Jedi Lords with an urgent request for help. =Gallant-class Escort Cruiser: Gallantry= The captain of the Gallantry, a Duros commander by the name of Garan Tazi, was the officer on duty who received the call from within the Ossus system. The escort cruiser was out on patrol, in the outlying sectors. A quick scan of the area revealed the ship in question, the Drunken Mynock. Orders were relayed to a squadron of XJ7 X-wing Starfighters to intercept the oncoming light freighter. The squadron leader, designated Green Leader, drew up with the freighter as the Gallantry moved to intercept.=Green Leader= This is Green Leader to Drunken Mynock. The X-Wing models came into view as the squadron formed up around the light freighter.=Green Leader= Keep in formation with our squadron. Please, state your request of assistance.
