Tarfang maintained a steady course as the X-wing squadron formed up around his freighter, following their directions to the best of his abilities. If they scanned the ship they'd pick up at least nine lifeform readings, including the captain himself. He pressed the comm button and replied to Green Leader.
Acknowledged, Green Leader. You lead the way. As for my request, it's not safe to speak of it over an open channel, the duloks could be listening. What I need to ask is better done in person. You'll understand when you see my 'cargo'.
He put emphasis on the word cargo, hoping the squadron leader would catch the meaning.

'Duloks'? The human pilot raised an eyebrow beneath his helmet.
=Squadron Member= Sir.
Green Leader switches channels to their squadron one.
=Squadron Member= Sir, scanners are detecting nine bio-signatures. Not sure what he means by 'cargo', but I suspect he means the lifeforms.
Green Leader acknowledges and proceeds to consider his options. He relays the information to the commander of the oncoming Gallantry, who likely had better authority than a Squadron commander in terms of what should and could be done. For awhile, the squadron simply kept in formation with Tarfang's vessel. Eventually, the Squadron officer came back to the channel and proceeded to speak with the captain.
=Green Leader= You will be permitted to land at Knossa. Please be advised that your vessel will be tracked. You be met with one of the planetary officials who will speak on behalf of Lucien Malvern, Lord of Ossus and Master of the Ossus Jedi. Be aware of the laws of the system and abide by them.
The squadron breaks off and moves away, returning to its patrol.

Understood. Replied Tarfang. I came seeking aid, not to look for trouble. I'll be on my best behaviour.
Mind you, even his best behaviour still tended to involve pocketing the silverware, but he'd avoid getting in any blaster fights and general mischief whenever and wherever possible.
As the squadron broke off to continue their patrol, the ewok captain took the control yoke in hand and guided the Drunken Mynock down towards the planet, following a transmitting beacon from the city of Knossa high in the Eocho Mountains. The HWK-290 light freighter entered Ossus' atmosphere and dipped beneath the clouds.

It had been no easy feat for the Sh'rip Sh'pa, known more commonly in galactic basic as a seed ship, to traverse the winding corridors of darkspace and reach the system of Ossus. Yet reach it had, as the Fecund Fortress slipped from the extra-dimensional hole bored through space and entered the system, propelled by the forces of gravity itself. A vast array of dovin basals slowed the eight hundred meter long crystalline structure, rapidly decelerating it from light speed travel to an easy drift. Across the black star spectacled tapestry of the cold airless void, the seed ship was a sparkling gem glittering as it refracted star light and shimmered in the embrace of space like a jewel encrusted meteor. The journey had been more complicated than most, for the organic terraforming craft had travelled all the way from the spiritual seed world of the Yuuzhan Vong out in the farthest depths of the Unknown Region. More so, the crew had been under the very specific instruction of the Executor of the Praetorite Vong, the illustrious...or notorious depending on who you asked, Nem of Domain Yin, to not reveal itself along the way. Thus the journey had been a long one, made in secret but not without due cause. For aboard this particular ship that carried with it the materials to shape life itself, was an even rarer and more valuable commodity to the Yuuzhan Vong. This vessel carried Master Shaper Mira Yim.Shimmering luminous pink mqaaq'it sparkled in the sockets of the Yuuzhan Vong to whom they belonged, glancing out the main view-spider as Mira rested her ocular implants on the nearing planet. Her oozhith gown of living tissue swept the yorik coral floor at her feet as she stepped away from the translucent window, making it appear as though she was floating rather than walking."A wounded world if ever there was one..." She whispered almost lyrically. "But I will make you well again."She smiled, which was unusual for a Yuuzhan Vong since that wasn't how they displayed their emotions. When Nem had finally given her permission to visit, she had started practicing immediately. It had been a long time since she had been allowed to travel the galaxy and meet with different species, to learn new things and to share her own knowledge of bio-engineering. She understood the Intendant's desire to keep her safe, but for the longest time she had felt like a bird in a cage. Now she had a chance to spread her wings and fly.Gliding over to the villip-choir where a Yuuzhan Vong warrior was symbiotically connected to the device via a cognition throne, Mira stroked the warrior caste's shoulders, dragging one of the scalpel edged nails of her Shapers hand across his shoulder just deep enough to draw a line of black blood. She spoke softly in his pointed ear."Contact the Executor and let him know that I am here. And contact these Jedi Lord friends of his. Tell them the project can begin in earnest now that I have arrived."The ego of a genius was unmistakable, but not entirely underserved. She was the best at what she did. The only problem was that she was keenly aware of that fact.Through the use of a metallic antenna biot connected to the Fecund Fortress' villip choir, what it used for all manner of wireless communication, the seed ship transmitted its intentions to the Jedi Lord vessels in orbit.Attention Jedi Lords, Ossus Control, this is Commander Uriel Yin of the Praetorite Vong vessel, Fecund Fortress. We are carrying Master Shaper Mira Yim aboard, as well as terraforming supplies for the Ossus Project. Requesting permission to make planetfall.

The orbiting and patrolling Orion Squadron detected the oncoming arrival of the Vong vessel. Given the records the crew of the Shield of Ossus, a Solar-class Jedi Defense Frigte, who was the closest to the seedships arrival, they were able to deduce it quickly as to what kind it was. The records indicated that the Vong Seedship was among the smaller of the vessels of their fleets. Their roles were support wise, carrying supplies and equipment specifically for terraforming. It was an odd ship, considering it looked like an enormous floating gemstone.
=Captain of the Shield of Ossus= Yuuzhan Vong vessel, Fecund Fortress, this is Captain Harland of the Shield of Ossus. We have been expecting the arrival of the Master Shaper. On behalf of High Lord Lucien Malvern, and the Ossus Jedi, we welcome you to the planet. Please follow these coordinates to where the agreed first phase of the terraforming may begin.
The coordinates were submitted which seemed to indicate along the equator of the Western Hemisphere of Ossus. The coordinates did bring up an established Jedi Fort in what was labeled 'the Wilderness'. Several sectors had this denotation given their relative void of any sort of life, save for wild animals. Jedi Watchmen and Ysanna allies patrolled the area though.

With permission granted, the vast array of dovin basals situated around the crystalline structure of the seed ship locked on to the planet of Ossus and began to pull, propelling the organic bio-vessel towards its intended destination. It drifted a ways in orbit, circling the globe before its nose began to dip into the upper atmosphere. As it began to circle the target zone, a hiss of voided gas sounded followed by a wet squelch as something detached from the underside of the Fecund Fortress, then another, and another, and once more after that. Four pod shaped seeds of biomass were ejected and began to glow from the heat resistance as they sped towards the surface of the planet like four thunderous streaking comets. The seed ship followed in their wake, albeit at a far slower rate.

Still hovering in orbit, the ro'ik chuun m'arh 'Price of Pain' monitored the system with its advanced suite of sensors. It wasn't looking for hostile or hidden ships, it wasn't a system defender, though keeping safe the Master Shaper and Executor was a priority. Both of whom were currently on the planet under the protection of the Jedi Lords. No, what it was looking for was something a little more naturally occurring. Satellites of frozen gas locked in rock, circulating the solar system for hundreds of thousands of years. These orbiting bodies potentially contained elements essential to revitalising the planet. Lambent strobe lighting flickered overhead as the sensor suite depicted its finding on a blaze bug projection. Commander Alith Yin studied the readout alongside the subaltern Barabas Lah. Though both were serving in a warrior caste capacity, the two couldn't have been more different in stature and physique.Alith was a lithe figure, comprised of lean muscle concealed away behind the glossy black bodysuit of his cloaker, agile and graceful. His glowing mqaaq'it ocular implants were a luminous blue, really the only feature that exposed any emotion besides the puffy dark purple eye sacs just underneath, for the lower half of his corpse pallor face was hidden by a gnullith breathing device. The hood of his body suit was pulled up over his bald scalp, further swathing the Intendant in shadow. Like all members of Domain Yin, Alith had been trained from an early age in the ways of stealth and assassination. He was also incredibly bitter, also like the rest of his Domain, perhaps excluding Nem. Steam hissed out the side of his starfish shaped breather, obscuring his face completely behind a haze of hot gas, only the two glowing orbs penetrating the thick cloud."That one looks good." He hissed in guttural Yuuzhan Vong, placing a long spindly digit on the readout, pinning a blaze bug in place. "Make it a priority."Barabas nodded his bald head, his complexion a match for Alith's though his own face was completely bare, revealing the jagged yellow teeth filling his mouth as his lip curled up in a near plastered sneer. The subaltern was large, broad of shoulder and appearing more brutal due in part to the spiked vonduun skerr kyrric covering his otherwise naked grey flesh. Blue veins pulsated beneath his pale skin, like writhing worms pumping black blood through his arteries. Held in his massive left gauntlet was a rigid two meter tall amphistaff that hissed and dripped venom from its fangs when even at rest. Unlike the Intendant, he was a little less miserable to deal with. Despite the losses his domain had suffered during the war, they had never reached the near extinction point as Alith's had. He was also at peace with the fate of their race. Just because they lost, didn't mean there wouldn't be a future opportunity for him to die in battle. There was a certain honour in his station; he would gladly lay down his life to protect others of his kind, different caste or not. When he replied, his voice was deep and gravely, booming with a lack of elegance."It will be so, Commander." He slammed his right crab gauntlet against his armoured chest, the clash echoing across the bridge.Moments later, six yorik-et detached with an expulsion of gas into the cold void as they launched from the Yuuzhan Vong frigate, gliding with soundless propulsion as they streaked towards the detected asteroid. Spreading out, the coral skippers encircled the floating piece of space rock and their pilots engaged their dovin basals, locking invisible gravitational beams on the hard magnetic nickel deposit before beginning to drag the piece of debris towards Ossus' orbit. The size of a shockball stadium, it could do some series damage if it impacted the planet's surface intact. But that wasn't the plan. Sensor sweeps had indicated a large amount of frozen hydrogen gas, a vital element for creating water, which Ossus possessed in scarcity. If they were to revitalize the punished world, water was vital. Unfortunately, the Yuuzhan Vong no longer had access to the massive world ships they used when they first arrived in the galaxy, so transferring a sufficient amount of fluid with their current ships was impractical. Thus, some creative adaptations were required to see the task done. When the yorik-et had readjusted the asteroids course, they broke off and set a return vector to the Price of Pain, which was already realigning its forward mounted yaret-kor, known in basic as lava cannons, to intercept the floating rock.Minutes turned into hours, with crew shifts swapping out at regular intervals, save for the Commander himself. Alith never took his glowing eyes off the display, save perhaps to stare out into the deep black of the void through the main view-spider, watching with clear apprehension. As the seconds ticked down and the object began to hit the upper atmosphere, he turned to the warrior caste operating the weapons banks and slapped a closed fist into his calloused palm."Now!" Snarled the Intendant. BA-BOOM! BA-BOOM! BA-BOOM! Blasting from red stained nozzles of yorik coral growth, the plasma cannons unleashed a steady stream of superheated rock in several consecutive volleys, striking the heart of the positioned asteroid and shattering the natural satellite into smaller debris. The hunk of rock and ice was transformed into a thousand smaller far less dangerous shards, which dissolved and burnt up upon entry into the atmosphere. The captured ice melted into gas, evaporating and filling the stratosphere with a heavy supply of hydrogen particles. Depending on ones vantage point on the surface of the planet, and depending on the time of day, it might have appeared as a meteor shower in the sky. Or, it might not have been visible at all, as the smaller objects fizzled away into scattered dust.Alith let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding in. He reached up to the gnullith covering the lower half of his face and grabbed the starfish shaped biot with his strong fingers, then pried it from his face with a wet pop. Taking a minute to regain his composure, he returned the breathing apparatus to his face, once more sealing his features behind the familiar covering. He then turned to Barabas, who had just returned with the next shift."Find another." He said with an exhalation of steam. "And lets do it again."

Climbing through the atmosphere, what appeared as a molted ball of flesh with a long whip like tail, rose beyond the gaseous barrier and entered the cold embrace of the airless void. The yorik-trema drifted lazily towards the Price of Pain, its dovin basals gently guiding it towards the larger craft as its arrest tentacles slithered from their housings and grappled with the ro'ik chuun m'arh's own. The Yuuzhan Vong frigate analog pulled the smaller transport into the folds of its ablative shell and bound it to the hull, forming a perfect seal before any hatch-sphincters dilated. Nem was already half way to his private quarters when the ship broke orbit and began to pull in the direction of the hyperlane leading further in towards the core.
As he entered his bio-sealed chamber, the Executor stripped out of his attire until he was naked save for a small robeskin loin cloth that obscured his reproductive organs. Tentacles and hook ended fleshy probes descended from the ceiling as he reached the center of the room. He allowed the wet appendages to pierce his skin and form a symbiotic link with his nervous system. Pain flooded his senses and soon became all he knew as his body was dragged back onto a rack and suspended upside down. The hooks dug deep, bleeding him in such a way as to feed the symbiont without completely draining the host. Nem allowed the pain to free his mind, thereby entering the first depths of deep meditation.
Soon muffled screams echoed down the corridor outside the Intendant's chamber as he entered the second and third depths of blissful suffering. The Price of Pain's dovin basals accelerated the organic frigate forwards, propelling it up to lightspeed as it entered darkspace and streaked out of the system.

Once the procurement of a Harbor-class Mobile Space Dock had been sorted out, Work had begun across the shipyards on several new vessels for one of the newest members of the Jedi Lords. The most significant of these builds was a new Arcadia-Class Jedi Praxeum Ship, which would serve as its name suggested: as a mobile praxeum. Valon did not wish to be constrained to a single planet for his teachings, thus the Arcadia-Class would be a perfect fit. An aditional small support fleet would also provide the Arcadia-Class with a defence force, as well as a chain for supplies to be delivered. For now, Valon would have to bide his time as construction began

Construction work continued in the yards above Ossus as the superstructure of an Arcadia-Class Jedi Praxeum Ship continued to take shape. Several different sections of the ship existed at various stages of construction. Some were still bare frames, others were slowly bulking up with equipment and cable runs, while others were being fitted with deck plating and armour plates. Work was also progressing on the flotilla of support vessels of various sizes. Some floated in the dry docks, while others were housed within the station itself within hangar bays

Work had continued to press on at the Shipyards over Ossus, before work was finally completed on the Arcadia-Class Jedi Praxeum Ship and its Support Fleet. The small Flotilla sat in orbit around the Space Dock as transports carrying supplies and people docked with the ships before heading back to the Dock or down to the Surface. Gardeners were already getting to work planting some of the transplanted trees and flora, whilst also seeding great swaths with various types of flowers. Fish were released into the various aquariums. Prep work was already being undertaken even as the fleets new Lord was being picked up and brought up to his new home

A speeding orange motte of light streaked across the starry landscape of the vast but largely empty void, decelerating rapidly as its dovin basals transitioned the organic warship from the pocket dimension of darkspace back into the open vacuum of regular space, slowing to sublight speeds by the time it veered off the main hyperlane and entered the system. Still wreathed in smoke and flame from the events of Shili-Secondus, the frigate sized ro'ik chuun m'arh 'Price of Pain' was a sight for sore eyes. It appeared to be leaking atmosphere from several damaged sections of its yorik-coral hull, which were feeding the flames burning across its surface. Behind it, a much smaller yorik-vec gunship transitioned into the system, appearing like an ethereal void ghost as the layer of lunar dust that had adhered to its hull shook loose and trailed behind it like a curtain of mist. This second vessel wasn't nearly as damaged as the first, and already it could be seen rotating to align the hatch-sphincter that served as its airlock with the frigate analogs oqa membrane to form a cofferdam in space between the two Yuuzhan Vong vessels. On the bridge, Alith Yin who assumed command of the Price of Pain during those damning recent events, extracted himself from the cognition throne he had been symbiotically linked to. He had just finished explaining their arrival as best he could to the Jedi Lords flotilla in orbit around the planet. He had been careful not to over-explain what had happened, which was easy given that he still didn't know what had happened other then a few random details. The Echo of Damnation had fired on the fleet and on the moon, where the entire Praetorite council except for Mira had been in attendance for a meeting about its future. Now he had no idea who was dead and who still lived, why they had been attacked or who was responsible. Last time he had checked, the Echo had been under the command of his domain mate Kronn Yin, but there was no way that old codger would have committed such a treasonous act. Alith knew his former mentor too well for that. There had to be another explanation. In any event, the Jedi Lords did not pry beyond the few details that the commander was able to share with them. The fleet had been attacked, they had jumped to safety, and it was highly unlikely the trouble had followed them here. To further their case for temporary asylum, he mentioned that the Executor was aboard though critically injured. To their credit the Jedi Lords offered the services of their healers, which Alith politely declined. With the extent of Nem's injuries, what he needed was a shaper. After that briefing he had left the bridge, making his way down to where the Bleeding Orifice had just docked.Turning the corner, he reached the deck with the oqa membrane just as the Executor was being floated in while strapped to the back of stretcher-beast. Nem's heavily bruised and bleeding body was a mismatch quilt of healing swatches and robeskin gauss. Prefect Ur Skell walked beside the mobile stretcher, while the Executor's faithful chazrach manservant hobbled behind, a rare look of concern writ upon its reptoid features. Ur's mqaaq'it shone with relief as he saw Alith coming round the corner and the two intendants met in the middle of the hall, reaching out to take each others arm in a familiar warrior greeting."Ur, I'm glad to see that ugly face of yours. What in Yuuzhan's name happened? Did the Executor say anything? Why did the Echo attack us, and who was on that ship?"Releasing each others forearms, the Prefect held up a hand for silence. Ur knew just about as little as Alith did, but he had managed to catch a few things muttered by Nem when he was trying to staunch the Executor's bleeding. The Prefect shook his head, his own trouble thoughts expressed through the constant puffing of his eye sacs."I don't know. When Nem told us all to run back to the ships, that's what I did. I tried to make it to my own, but the stretch of terrain where it was parked had fallen away. Certain that was it for me, I had the fortune of running into the Yu'shaa's creature." Referring to the chazrach Scab that continued to hobble beside the stretcher beast as it was being led to the Price of Pain's medical bay. "It led me back to his ship and provided the codes to get it off the ground. The Executor made it just as we were about to take off. He was in terrible shape and kept screaming that we had to go back for Xarl Lah, but the subaltern wasn't with him. I think whatever happened to Nem, Xarl must have found him and carried him most of the way back to the ship. What happened to him after, I can't say, but we had to leave." He shook his head. "We barely made it off the ground before the moon fell apart beneath us. After that, I saw you take the Price of Pain into the debris field, with the Echo following close behind. You know the rest. As for why they attacked and who was leading them...all I have is a gender. In rare moments of fleeting consciousness, Nem kept referring to a 'She'. He said 'She' would pay for this."Alith bared his jagged teeth in frustration. That was hardly anything to go off of. It would seem they were in the dark until Nem regained consciousness. The young commander nodded his acceptance of this. He followed them to the medical wing but stopped at the threshold instead of entering. He grabbed Ur by the arm as the Prefect was about to head in."I'm going to contact Mira. She's Nem's best hope for a speedy recovery. You stay with him for now." While technically Alith and Ur were of relatively equal ranks, the Prefect didn't try to argue with the youngest member of Domain Yin. Now was not the time to be fighting amongst themselves. Alith's cerulean blue ocular implants bored into Ur like precision laser beams, his face locked in rigid stoicism like a marble statue of a Yuuzhan Vong ancestor. "Until we know what happened, we don't know who can be trusted. We need to keep things hush-hush for the time being." Releasing Ur's arm, Alith took a step towards a transparent membrane in the yorik-coral that allowed him to look at the vastness of space beyond the hull. He crossed his lean muscular arms over his chest. "I have a feeling our whole world is about to change."
Two weeks later. A robeskin skirt attached to a form fitting oozhith gown swept the ground as a thin Yuuzhan Vong female walked towards the medical bay, carrying a platter of food in her hands. Two burly vonduun skerr kyrric clad members of the warrior caste stood outside the hatch-sphincter leading into the bay, their amphistaffs crossed over the organic doorway. Upon seeing Mira Yim approach, they moved their rigid polearms out of her way and allowed the Master Shaper to enter the room. As the sphincter dilated and she stepped inside the lambent lit chamber, her grip on the tray slackened and tumbled from her hands onto the floor with a clatter, spilling its contents across the deck. Mira's mouth was agape in surprise and her glowing pink eyes were locked on a figure standing with their back towards her on the far side of the room. The noise drew the figure's attention, and they turned to look in her direction as the shaper stood there dumbfounded."You look like you've seen a ghost." Said Nem, who was finally up after two weeks of near-constant medical procedures and rest. Piecing the Executor back together had proved an impossible task. All of his organs had ruptured and his body had been wracked with internal bleeding. Most of his bones had been broken or had been in varying states of fracture, though his ribs had been the worst, practically pounded into a fine powder from whatever beating he had took on Shili-Secondus. Mira had been forced to perform a highly secretive and quite possibly heretical procedure to save the intendant, performing a full bodied escalation that saw his brain extracted from its old ruined shell and implanted in a new one. There had been no time to collect one of the bodies Nem had in storage on Zonama Sekot, nor to flash clone a new one using his available DNA, so she had been forced to use what she had at hand. Staring at her from across the room was Nem, but in the cloned body of his former domain mate, Uzas Yin. Uzas who had been murdered by the Sith while trying to gather intelligence on their hidden empire. It was like looking at a ghost. "I'm glad you're awake." She replied, recomposing herself as she crossed the room to be at his side. Mira wrapped her long gloved right hand around the Executor's arm and rested her head on his naked shoulder as she joined him in staring out the medical bay's only viewport. "You were almost dead when they brought you to me. Nem..." She looked up into his eyes, her features wrought with concern for him. "...what happened at Shili? I tried prying answers out of Alith and Ur, but all they would say is that we were betrayed. Is that true? Who would do such a thing?"Who indeed. Ordinarily Nem's mqaaq'it possessed a luminescent emerald green hue, but right now they smouldered like two hot burning coals in their sockets, presenting a furious shade of deep red that could have passed for infidel blood. He placed his arm around Mira's shoulders and embraced her, though the actions felt alien to him as he hadn't yet become accustomed to his new body. Holding her close, he tried not to let the darkness that currently dominated his spirit bleed into his words, though there was no completely concealing the anger that ate away at him like the searing venom of an amphistaff."We were betrayed." He reaffirmed with a nod of his new head. "The Echo of Damnation, which had been missing for months, finally reappeared amid the fleet as we were in the middle of the council meeting. In a treasonous sneak attack, it opened fire on the fleet and on the surface of the moon where the meeting was being held. Most of the council is likely dead. It'll be some time before everyone is accounted for." Pristine white teeth ground together as anger welled in his breast. "It was Loraine." He looked into her eyes, then looked away and spat a wad of phlegm onto the floor. "Jarulek Anor practically admitted as much when he played the part of assassin and tried to kill me as Shili-Secondus died around us. He had been altered, transformed into a slayer I think. We exchanged blows, but it was like a bissop cub trying to take on a rakamat. I didn't think anyone could move as fast as I could with a full cocktail of combat stimulants in my veins, but I could barely match his speed enough to defend myself, let alone strike back. If it wasn't for Xarl's timely intervention I would have died."That information hit Mira like a hammer blow. Her legs grew weak as she leaned against Nem and they would have given out completely on her if he hadn't been supporting her. Loraine was responsible for this? Mira had known her former student had been quite dissatisfied with the Executor's decision to ban her work and exile her creations, but she never thought her prodigy would have been capable of this. No wonder Nem had been so close to death. If Loraine was replicating the heretical shaping protocols that created the slayers, it was unlikely most Yuuzhan Vong would be able to stand against those augmented abominations. The Executor was lucky to have survived. She was also keenly aware that Xarl wasn't with the two ships that had escaped that trap and made it safely to Ossus. Which meant he likely hadn't made it, though she wasn't prepared to ask about that yet. One tragedy at a time."I can't believe it. Loraine was always strong willed, but I never thought she would be capable of something like this." She shook her head. "She's a handmaiden on Yun-Ne'shel, for Harla's sake. Or at least she was. We're supposed to use our bio-engineering talents to help our people, not slaughter them."Grimacing. "It was her, using the same heretical creations I punished her for on my last visit to Lehon." Gently he stroked Mira's back, whispering gently to her as he tried to coerce the Master Shaper into making a promise he knew she would be set against. "But you can replicate her work, yes? The great Mira Yim, Master Shaper and bio-engineering savant, you can do anything. Tell me you can."She had been afraid he was going to ask that. "You know I can." Mira responded swiftly. "But I won't, and I can't believe you'd ask me to. Those experiments of Qelah Kwaad's were some of the most flagrant abuses of the shaping protocols that I have personally ever seen. Don't ask that of me, Nem, because I won't do it. I won't become Loraine just so you can beat her."Nem grew quiet, cold even, extracting his arm from Mira's back and putting several feet of distance between them as he turned his back on her. Hands unblemished by scarification and free of tattoos clasped behind his back. When he spoke his tone was frigid and distant."Then we're doomed." Slap! Nem's new unmarred left cheek grew flush following a painful and probably well deserved slap to his face, delivered by Master Shaper Mira Yim. He looked at her, his face a mix of emotions somewhere between rage and shame. An internal war was being fought in his despair-blackened soul, one he was struggling to gain control of. Yet in that darkest hour when the ennui was strongest and he wanted nothing more than to simply give up, Mira was there, her open heart providing him a safe port in which to anchor. She placed her hands on either side of his still stinging face and told him what he needed to hear."Only if you give up."

Brielle rolls her neck as her RZ-2-A-wing interceptor emerges from hyperspace in orbit over Ossus, glad that her journey is nearing its end at last. Reducing speed and opening a comm channel, Brielle says in her oddly accented Basic, Ossus Control, this is Jedi Initiate Brielle Giovane of the Corellian Academy requesting clearance to make for the Jedi Praxeum.
Stretching, as much as one can in the single-seat starfighter's somewhat cramped cockpit, while awaiting the reply from Ossus Control, Brielle feels her excitement at the prospect of meeting and learning from the Jedi Lords here on Ossus bubbling up despite her tiredness; having been sent as part of a student exchange program between the Jedi Academy on Corellia and the Praxeum here on Ossus, Brielle is eager to learn all she can from the Jedi Lords. There have been times when she felt as though the Jedi of the Corellian Academy were not quite sure what to do with her given her chronological age and rather unique ancestry, both of which Brielle suspects have also played a role in the fact she has yet to be paired with a Master; and she idly wonders just how much of her circumstances the Jedi Lords have been made aware of, feeling a faint sliver of apprehension enter her anticipation.

Ossus Orbital Security ran the credentials on both the name and the interceptor in orbit. The security ran through the necessary logs, which were connected to the databanks of the Felucian and Corellian archives. Cross references revealed that she was who she said she was. Anzati species, Corellian Initiate, aged 104 by her species aging process. There was a note of a previous Jedi Master and present education on Corellia. With this confirmed, a transmission was returned.=Orbital Security= Orbital Security to Jedi Initiate Brielle Giovane, welcome to Ossus.A green light would go off, indicating approval to land.=Orbital Security= You have been granted permission to land at either Knossa or at the junior academy of the Jedi Praxeum. Headmaster Dendarrion shall be alerted to your arrival and you will have someone meet you there. On Ossus, there was a junior and senior academies. The junior was the Jedi Praxeum, built over the original site of the old temple from the days of the Jedi Order by orders of Luke Skywalker. The senior counterpart belonged to the Great Jedi Library, reinvigorated by the construction efforts of later Jedi, namely under the New Jedi Order and onward. Due to her status as an Initiate, she was thus transferred to the landing at the Jedi Praxeum. However, she was still allowed to go to Knossa if she so desired.

The Exarch Academy floated over Ossus with its accompanying fleet of ships. In his time amongst the Jedi Lords he had learned of their order and accepted a role within their ranks, earning him at fist a title as a Banneret. But such a role lasted but a short time, with a promotion to Baron soon following once work had begun upon The Exarch. Those that manned the Praxeum Ship and its accompanying fleet were all sworn to him and his service as their Lord. Most of them had come from Lord Malvern's own lands, being that Valon had been pledged as a Bannerman to the High Lord, but others had joined from across Ossus. Thus The Exarch Academy was staffed by a range of peoples, whom together would make it stronger.
There was one, however, whom still had much to learn about her own contributions to the overall good. His own apprentice, Iresette. Currently Valon sat within the gardens, his eyes closed, whilst his face was upturned toward the domed roof outside of which was the star studded void. For now, he would sit and await her arrival

Seven Kuat Galaxy-15 ion engines propelled the frigate at sublight speeds from the nearby hyperlane towards the planet of Ossus. The galaxy renowned starbird emblem of the Rebel Alliance was painted in rich crimson on either side of the prow, clearly marking the capital ship as a member of that organization, despite the fact that it hadn't existed in some time. General Endor was on the bridge, holding a steaming cup of stim-caf to his lips as he stared at the main screen with a magnified projection of the planet displayed on its surface. He put his drink down on the arm of the command chair near the centre of the bridge and walked over to the comms station."Alright." He said, bringing a hand under his chin to stroke the grey streaked beard that occupied the bottom portion of his face. "Open a channel and lets see how this goes."It was a calculated risk bringing the Mossflower; it was technically a warship after all. However, he had been concerned that if he had just shown up in his X-wing they might not have been taken seriously. At least this way they would know that the organization he represented was more than just one person."Channel open, General." "Ahem." Endor cleared his throat with a cough. Ossus control, this is General Endor of the New Rebel Alliance. He paused, giving a moment for the name to sink in. They likely never heard of it before. I'm here on a goodwill mission to the Jedi Lords. It is my understanding they maintain their headquarters here. That last bit of information had come from his childhood friend, Tarfang, who had visited the world not so long ago. I would like to request an audience with their leadership, at their convenience of course.

Thank you, Orbital Security, Brielle says once she has been cleared to land and informed that Headmaster Dendarrion will made aware of her arrival, pausing only briefly to consider whether to continue on for the Praxeum or Knossa when the options are presented to her; deciding to make for the Praxeum as it was where she was told she would be participating in the exchange program and is more likely than not expected. Setting in the course for the Praxeum and bringing her RZ-2 onto the flight path she has been assigned, Brielle adds, I will be making for the Praxeum, to let Orbital Security know where Dendarrion, or whomever he sends to meet her, can expect her, Over.
Closing the comm channel, Brielle increases the RZ-2's speed and continues on towards her destination.

I would like to request an audience with their leadership, at their convenience of course. A scan occurred as the ship transmitted its request. The origin of this came from a trio of ships just off starboard. A pair of Solar-class Jedi Defense Frigates sat on either side of the larger warship, a Providence-class Dreadnought. The Fidelis was the command vessel of a squadron that held its namesake. It was out on patrol, within the Ossus system, while its sister squadron was off, keeping an eye on the Perlemian Trade Route between the triad of Jedi Worlds; Ossus, Rhen Var, and Felucia.
The call sign and the allegiance declaration were all new to the commanding officer and his crew. Yet, there were those among the ranks that recalled how the Jedi aided in the creation of another Rebel Alliance to fight against the rise of the First Order. If a New Rebel Alliance was around, then their purpose was certainly the same as the one before.
And so, a comm opened from the bridge.=Admiral Brix= This is the warship, Fidelis, to the representatives of the New Rebel Alliance. I have conveyed your message to the office of the High Lord, Lucien Malvern, as well as to his officials. Hold your position while we await confirmation. The Jedi of Ossus were cautious, considering the darkness that loomed just up the Perlemian. Ever vigilant against any and all possible threats, even if they sounded genuine, was the protocol of both the naval and ground assets that made up the Jedi Lords military.================================= EndorEventually, a new chime came on as the commander of the Fidelis responded with news.=Admiral Brix= Representatives of the New Rebel Alliance, you have been granted an audience with the High Lord Lucien Malvern at the Magistrate's Office in Knossa. You will be permitted to land at the governmental landing pads next door. There, His Lordship will greet you in person.A series of coordinates and approved paperwork for landing were sent over from the bridge of the Providence Dreadnought.=Admiral Brix= Welcome to Ossus and enjoy your stay. Fidelis, out. With that, the dreadnought broke off and returned to its patrol routine.

It had taken some time, but the big grin that spread across Endor's face when they got permission to land expressed that it had been worth the wait. The High Lord was going to meet him personally? It told him something, assuming this wasn't an attempt at a practical joke. It told him the Jedi Lords were just as concerned about the First Order and the constant threat of Imperial expansionism as the rest of the galaxy was. Or perhaps they had encountered the same evil as he that lingered in the depths of Mon Cal. His exposure in freeing two MC80s from their shipyards had been enough to send a chill through his spine. The Living Force cried in pain... His smile faded at that last thought and was replaced with a stern look of determination.
"You want to take the shuttle?" Asked the bridge officer, a bushy tailed tynnan with two big tucked teeth and chestnut brown fur. Major Nuttybutter padded the General on the back as she climbed into the captain's seat.
"No." Endor shook his head. "I'll take my X-wing. If their leader has come in person, I should meet them by myself. I can make our case better with fewer voices involved. Keep an eye out though, Lieutenant Flounder thought he spotted a Yuuzhan Vong vessel on the way in. It was probably just a glitch, but you never know, crazier things have happened."
After making his way down to the hangar, Endor climbed into the cockpit of his vintage T-65 with a few after market modifications, and shut the canopy. The engines glowed blue and he launched out of the hangar, streaking down towards the planet's surface, to the Eocho mountains and the city of Knosso beyond.

There was one, however, whom still had much to learn about her own contributions to the overall good. His own apprentice, Iresette. Currently Valon sat within the gardens, his eyes closed, whilst his face was upturned toward the domed roof outside of which was the star studded void. For now, he would sit and await her arrival The Exarch - Arcadia-Class Jedi Praxeum ShipIresette was clad in her usual outfit consisting of dark brown pants, a brown shit, over which she wore her orange and brown hooded vest. Her waist was adorned with an orange sash over which she wore a belt made of a few links and which had pouch pockets on either hip. She ran out of the Temple itself passing by the pair of Temple Guards standing at the door and rushed out through the gardens. Her gaze catching glimpses of the Iron Knights that littered the perimeter of the Temple building. Beyond the artefacts, knowledge, technology, and design stylings that had been brought back from Talus, the Temple Guards and the Iron Knights of Karabor had agreed to join them. Ires still wasn't sure how Valon had managed it, but he'd been convincing enough.
The Temple Guards had been formed under Zion's tenure, while the Iron Knights were purported from a time when people much like her own had resided in Karabor. There was something safe feeling about knowing such illustrious warriors now protected the Exarch. But it was not a thought Ires let herself get too lost in as she bolted through the Gardens, already late for her lesson with Valon. She'd been trying her best to be on time, but she had gotten caught up in some work and helping tend to some of the animals in the stables. Despite her reasoning, she was certain Valon would still lecture her about keeping better track of her time and promises. A lecture she was bracing herself for as she came running out into the garden clearing where her Master was seated and looking up towards the stars. She braced her hands upon her knees as she caught her breathSorry I'm later Master... I lost track of time helping.... in the stables...
