*Keda watched the young Jedi leave the council room, waiting for several minutes to make sure of no ones return, her gaze fell on her target. Swiftly and silently she moved from her perch until she was almost above the Jedi Master. Once close, she dropped from the ceiling and landed lightly in front of her target, even with combat boots she barely made a sound on impact. Standing up straight, she stared the Jedi square in the eyes with her cold almost robotic gaze. Her right foot was slid slightly back, prepared for any assault that might come. In a cold mechanical tone she addressed the Devlin.*
"Jedi Master Devlin Dewe. I have been sent to find you."

Devlin spreads his arms wide and smirks.
"Here I am."
He folds his arms into the sleeves of his robe.
"What can I do for you?"
He had to admit, this person intrigued him. Silent. Stealthy. That probably meant assassin; but he wasn't about to jump to any conclusions. Perhaps she just sought training in the Force and the ways of the Jedi. Or, she had a message to deliver to him from someone. Or...he stopped the idle train of thought and focused on the present. No use speculating. Things would unfold as they would. He was ready. At least, he thought he was.

*Keda didn't respond, instead she dropped a projector in front of her. The image of a man appeared between the Jedi and Keda, the figure stood about a meter tall. The man had shaggy hair, thick glasses and was wearing a lab coat, jeans and sneakers, in a way he didn't look like a scientist at all. Giving a sideways grin the man addressed Master Dewe.*
-Crix- "Master Dewe I presume. It appears my test subject has found you easily enough. Allow me to introduce myself, I am professor Crix Amitey. You have already meet my field subject, naturally, or else we wouldn't be talking right now." *The man shifted his weight and put his hands in his jean pockets.* "You maybe wondering why I'm contacting you. You see I'm performing an experiment that requires a certain kind of subject, that subject is you, a Jedi. Now why do I need a Jedi? Simple, what you see in front of you is the latest of my creations, a force hunter.*He lazy pointed back at Keda with his thumb before returning his hand to its previous place.* "The experiment is simple really, I just need to see a field combat test from her, if your so willing that is. Don't worry, her job isn't to kill you, and if you have any questions feel free to ask them."

"A Force hunter?"
Devlin frowns.
The idea intrigued him. He could always use better practice droids. And this new test subject could be even better than the YV-H droids modified to hunt Sith. It no doubt was. It had slipped into the Praxeum unnoticed.
"I presume, if you don't intend to kill me, that your intended target is the Sith? Or are you perhaps aiding the Mandalorians in their crusade?"
He had only recently heard about the blockade of Yavin and the beginnings of whispers regarding a holy war against Force users. The information was sparse at best, rumor at worst. But, he had CZ-9 sifting through everything the droid could in search of answers.

*I made my way out of the council chamber my head a spin, my feet seemed to guide me upon a path of their own and I found myself walking into the hangar having exited the turbolift. I stopped and took stake of my position, I sighed deeply and took a forlorn painful look at what lay around me and then shook my head.
I then strode forward to embrace whatever destiny lay before me and with some others boarded a Jedi expeditionary vessel, this type a long range explorer, it was largely for botanists and genealogists who were embarking to explore the expansion region. There was no problem in me joining the vessel, I presumed I would depart where ever the vessel was headed for.
I settled among the forty seven or so other passengers and felt the vessel rumble as it took off and swooped toward planetry orbit and the great unknown.*

*Crix let out a low laugh.*
-Crix- "I couldn't tell you what my benefactor does with my subjects. He funds the research, I give him what he wants. I have to say though, the unlimited funding and no moral restraints given has allowed my research to excel greatly on my..Volunteers." *He nodded his head towards Keda. Her almost vacant eyes overlooked the hologram, instead they stared at Devlin, almost searching him for an unknown answer.* "Like I said, I don't know what he's doing with them. He might be sending them after the Sith, or he could be selling them to the Mandalorians. Kind of an unsettling thought isn't it, a small army of highly developed killing machines designed to go against force users to descend on some unwary target." *Crix let out a sigh.* "But that's not why were here is it, I'm sure you still have questions, maybe another time though. Keda, if you will please."
*The order was given, Keda was off like a shot. Her shotosaber went from her hip to activated in a mere second as she closed the distance between her and the Jedi in a blink of an eye. She hit the ground in front of the Jedi master, putting herself in a strong stance, and swung her blade at his waist in a reverse grip.*

Devlin's eyes widen as Keda advances. He retreats a few steps to get out of range and leans back as the shoto races toward him.
He reaches down with his right hand and calmly removes his lightsaber from its place, belted above his left hip. He takes another few steps backward.
He stands with his feet in an L, right foot pointing toward Keda and ignites his viridian lightsaber with the traditional snap-hiss. He brings the blade up toward his face and whips it down to the floor with a flourish in the shape of an X.
Then he takes his well practiced stance: with his knees slightly bent, his feet perpendicular to each other, right foot pointing toward his opponent, and shoulder-width apart, and with his body rotated so he presents a smaller target. He holds his lightsaber in his right hand and his arm partially extended in a midguard.
It seemed the time for chatting and pleasantries was over. Now, the testing phase began.
"You should try to perform the niceties of the duel. It'll throw your opponents off-guard. So few use them, these days."
He smiles and waits.

*Crix merely shrugged at the Devlins comment.*
-Crix- "I see no reason for her to, after all she isn't even Jedi."
*Keda brought herself into a guard position. Her white bladed lightsaber held in front of her, still in its reverse grip, and her left hand down low protecting her side. She slowly began to move in a wide circle around the Jedi, never once did her feet cross to disrupt her balance. Every once in a while she would change her guard to prevent any weakness to be shown for long. Her predatory gaze scanned for any opening the Jedi Master would reveal. Darting forward, she made a rush for the Jedi, switching her grip she thrust the lightsbaer forward for a jab. At the last second she spun on her left foot to dodge around Devlin in an attempt to create an opening.*

Devlin smirks.
"Jedi or not makes no matter. There is a...principle in these things."
Devlin moves with Keda. Carefully, deftly, warily.
He slides his right hand to the his right to block Keda's thrust. Then steps back as Keda moves to his left. He quickly slides his arm left, hoping to close her offensive.
"You move well for a test subject. Are you still fully human?"
He tried to engage Keda in conversation, but was certain Crix would answer instead.

*Crix gave a chuckle.*
-Crix- "She was created in a test tube, if you can call that human. Sure she may..."
*Crix was cutoff by Keda, her voice was almost force as she fought to override many of the drugs effecting her.*
"I'm still human..just different. Why wouldn't I still be? Just because I've was created in a lab, tested on. That doesn't make me any less a person."

Devlin nods.
"True."
He shrugs.
"It's just sometimes, you can't tell between humans and synthetics without getting to the...inner workings. I, myself, grew up on Cardooine. What more can you tell me about yourself, Keda?"
He quickly thrusts at Keda's sternum. A quick move, in an attempt to singe her clothes and perhaps cause a slight burn.
He hoped to catch her off-guard. But more, he found he was interested in the person, Keda, not just the subject.

*Keda stepped towards the blade with her right foot as it came at her, letting it slide close to her left side. Striking quick, she aimed to strike Devlin's right shoulder with the heel of her right hand, it was more to push him away then to cause damage.*
"There is not much to tell, Jedi. I am tank grown, created to hunt force users just like my brothers. I have synthetics in my body, but no, they do not make up all of who I am." *She began to circle around Devlin again before speaking.* "I have never heard of Cardooine.

Devlin lets her hand hit him and spins wit the momentum to continue to face Keda.
"Most haven't. It's along the Outer Rim. Our claim to fame is fijisi wood."
He continues to keep his fencing stance and track his opponent.
"Have you traveled far in your life?"
He quickly stabs toward Keda's nose with the point of his lightsaber; but will stop the blade before striking her face...if it gets that far.

*Keda bent backwards allowing the blade to passover her head. The blade itself came so close she could feel the heat. Putting her left hand on the ground, she pushed off and put some distance between her and Devlin.*
"No, I haven't. I've been to a few places, some of those though have been erased from my memory. I am to believe that you have traveled far though."
*She made a head long rush at the Jedi. Moving her lightsaber into a standard grip, she gave a powerful strike followed by a strong forward kick following it up.*

Devlin rolls to the left just as Keda's slash begins. He regains his feet and stance with a smirk.
"Corellia, Yavin, Coruscant, Rodia..."
He shrugs.
"Mostly, though, I just stay on Ossus. I'm pretty boring in that way."
He decided to let Keda go on the offensive for the moment, just to see what she could do. He was intrigued by her "development" and purpose.

*Keda repositioned herself and faced the Jedi.*
"Less boring then spending most of your days in a tank, or training, having your memories erased. You have had a better life then me."
*She charged Devlin with her blade in a reverse grip. Closing in on her target, she feigned left but quickly moved right in an attempt to create an opening in the Jedi's defense.*

"I suppose it's a matter of perspective."
If Devlin was right, Keda held her blade in her right hand. Feinting left was interesting, then...from the Jedi's perspective.
"There are those in my Order, who wish to see me move outside these walls. Our lives are filled with choices."
Devlin moves his blade to his right, in an attempt to follow Keda's feint. As she moves to his left, he crouches. Dropping down, he stabs his blade upward, he hopes to get under he guard and cut a shiim--a minute wound--on her left side with the tip of his blade.
He hoped that with her blade in the reverse grip, he'd be just a bit better suited to strike her, since her left side was slightly undefended. It could, of course, be a trap...
"For instance, you could choose not to be an instrument of death. You could choose not to hunt Force users."

*Keda closed in on the Jedi quickly, ready to strike. She saw his strike come at her a little to late, knowing she couldn't dodge it, she let it strike. The tip of the blade skimmed down her side, it hurt but she had suffered far worse. Blood began to form where the wound was, it was red just like any other humans, but it held fluorescent blue streaks from all the injections and bacta in her body.*
"I never had a choice, never will!"
*She ignored the pain from the blade as she closed in on Devlin. Swinging her right hand forward, she brought her fist down to strike his jaw rather then using her blade.*

Keda's fist connects with Devlin's jaw on the left side. His head and neck jar to the right. His right arm involuntarily flicks upward. He manages to regain control in time to stop it from attempting to sever Keda's punching arm. Instead, he attempts to only cause another shiim.
"There is always a choice. You say you are human, yet claim to not have a choice. It is either one or the other. It cannot be both."

*Keda dodge the second jab from Devlins blade at her arm. She stepped back out of range and gave her arm a slight shake to cool it down from the heat of the passing blade.*
"I'm still human, that is a fact. I've tried to run away, but cannot. They've put chips and suppressant devices throughout my body. Whenever I leave, I black out and end up in a tank somewhere." *She lowered her blade into a relaxed state and stared Devlin striaght in the eyes.* "I'm a prisoner inside my own mind on most occasions. I don't think you could understand what it's like to lose control of yourself. Let other people make you do terrible things and you have no control at all." *She looked around the room then back at the Jedi.* "This is some of the most control and freewill I've had in a long time."
