The Jedi Praxeum of Ossus was a training facility built by the Jedi Order within the city of Knossa. It was once a major base of the Jedi Order and repository of knowledge until the Great Jedi Library was later built.

starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Academy_(Ossus)The Jedi Academy on Ossus was built to replace the lost temple on Yavin 4. It was located between a large mountain ridge and a deep valley, the scenic views the Academy offered were used for meditative and reflective purposes. Devlin sat at his desk and stared out the window, reflecting on recent events. Much had happened. Yet, he also had found time to rest and meditate. Which was good for the old hermit. Life on Ossus buzzed as usual. But something tugged at him. The Force hinted that something was approaching...Devlin breathes in deeply and exhaled slowly. He watches the evening sun lower slowly into the treeline of the jungle. Do I still want to construct new lightsabers? He thought. Will I still need them?He taps the lightsaber on his left hip.Do I need this one?
The Force tugged upon Devlin's conscious; but when he reached out for it, to understand it, it slipped away. It was maddening. Something just on the edge of knowing; yet not here yet.
He sighs.
"Always in motion."

Zero walked through the halls of the newly repaired (once again) Praxeum. The repair droids and servicemen had done a brilliant job getting the place back together again. But every time the Praxeum had been attacked and repaired, it always lost a little something along the way. A room here or there, some artwork there, the place seemed to lose a little spark. Nevertheless, this was his home and he would protect it every time.
He turned a corner and narrowly dodged a Jedi Knight who briskly walked past.
The Praxeums numbers seemed to disappear after every attack too. Having to evacuate the younglings and padawans seemed to make half of them not want to come back. They needed to boost their numbers somehow, get the Praxeum back to its former glory.
He rounded yet another corner and found himself in front of where he wanted to be. The training room door slid open as he approached and slid shut punctually after he had entered. He shrugged his robes off his shoulders and walked over to the simulation computer. He keyed in a few commands and immediately the training room disappeared, replaced with a setting similar to Mustafar.
There was molten lava everywhere, mountains of rock surrounding the area. The horizon was dotted with volcanoes spitting out lava of their own. The temperature had risen to the appropriate weather now, sweat dotted Zero's brow.
Zero wiped his forehead with the sleeve of his undergarments and waited a few moments until he saw what he was waiting for. Three training droids approached, transforming into three Mustafarians shortly before reaching him. He grabbed his lightsaber off his utility belt and activated the green blade.
Time to see how rusty he had become.

Zero was panting now. He had dispatched two of the three enemies with one still remaining.
He really had grown rusty. The fight was proving to be a test of his physical and mental strength and he could feel his strength and energy waning. It was time to revert to his favored and best lightsaber style, Soresu.
He withdrew slightly from the remaining Mustafarian, spreading his legs and holding his lightsaber parallel to the side of his head. He waited for his opponent to attack, which he knew he would. Sure enough, the Mustafarian came at him, his weapon held high. The weapon resembled a type of spear. Zero parried the attacks, glancing the blows off his lightsaber. The Mustafarian did not relent however, instead drove harder at Zero.
He knew that if this kept up, his enemy would surely have him. As good as Soresu was for defending, it could not hold out forever. He needed to turn the tide of the battle and now. That's when he saw his opening.
As the next barrage of attacks came at him, he quickly waved his hand at his opponent causing the Mustafarians attack to angle slightly higher than his enemy intended. Using the momentum of the attack, he struck the weapon, causing the alien to bounce on his feet. Zero quickly turned his attack into a turning spin which took the Mustafarian's legs out from under him. Not wasting a second, Zero brought his lightsaber down upon his enemy, sawing him half.
Almost immediately, the terrain turned back into the floor of the training room, the surrounding changing back to that of the walls and roof. The three training droids lay in different states, two disabled and one in two pieces. He could still do it at least!
He brought his wrist up to stomach height and keyed in a command on the panel which was situated there. A few minutes later, a few maintenance droids swept into the room to take care of the mess. Zero turned, picked up his robes off the floor, donned them and then left the room.
It was time to chat with his old friend.

Zero approached the door.
It had been a while since he had had a proper conversation with this man. His friend had been in and out quite a lot and had only recently come back from seclusion in the wilds of Ossus. It was time to chat about the Praxeum and what was to come next.
He now found himself standing in front of the door. He opened it and stepped inside.
Devlin Dewe sat at his desk facing the window. The view from his office was quite beautiful. Yet, despite the serene view, he could tell through the force that his friend's state of mind was not quite clear.
"I do hope that I'm not interrupting anything important my friend."

His thoughts were interrupted by the entrance of Typhor Zero. It was not an unwelcome disturbance. Devlin only wished he could have seen a better glimpse of the looming...danger...adventure...he wasn't sure what; but something was definitely lurking.
Devlin turns and smiles at his friend.
"Of course not. I welcome the disruption. My thoughts were too scattered to be important. What can I do for you, Master Zero?"

Zero returned the smile before pulling up a chair and sitting opposite Devlin.
"Everything okay my friend? I can feel your thoughts from a mile away today."
Zero was more gifted with the use of the Force than he was with a lightsaber and found it quite easy to tell what one was truly thinking and feeling. It was also because he and Devlin had been friends for a long time now that they could both tell when something was bothering the other. Devlin would speak to him if he wanted to though, so he wouldn't push it. Instead, he changed the topic to that of which he came there for.
"I came to speak about the Praxeum and get your thoughts on events. Do we have enough security? It seems that every time we come under attack, we have to rebuild. We hold many important things at this Praxeum, the Library being one of the main things. We can't afford to lose every battle we fight, losing something every time."
The last attack had been a costly one for the Jedi on Ossus. The attackers walked away with a very important Sith artifact, created by Darth Sidious himself. Not to mention the damage caused to the Library and the Praxeum. They needed to do something more than they had been, to try and stop these continuous attacks on their freedom.
"It's also come to my attention that every time we are attacked, more and more Jedi choose to leave. Our numbers dwindle with every assault. We need more Jedi."
He had to be honest with his friend. For one thing, Ossus was both their homes and had been for a long time, but also because Devlin would be able to tell if he was lying or holding back.
"I'm glad I got through that! I really hate talking about the serious stuff."

Devlin let his friend speak his peace.
Once, Typhor finished, Devlin smirks.
"Me too, my friend, me too. But sometimes we must."
His face grows solemn.
"The archives are backed-up under the Eocho Mountains, as you know. So we won't lose any important information. The lost artifact, however, is more disconcerting. We-I don't even know what it does and so cannot begin to ponder what use these Sith might have for it."
Resting his elbows on the desk, he rubs his chin with his right hand.
"As for lost Jedi...some may say it is time to abandon Ossus. Ancient homeworld of the Jedi. Some would counsel we should move away, to Yavin or Corellia, Coruscant perhaps. Our praxeum may be small; but our Order is not, my friend. As long as they stand with us, we are mighty."
The Cardooinian smiles and spreads his hands upon his desk.
"However, if you have any recruitment suggestions, I am listening."
If the moment presented itself, he would reveal his recent...troubling feelings to Master Zero. But he would not press the point. In Devlin's mind, Typhor's concerns came first. Even if Typhor didn't feel that way. Besides, he did not want to weight down his friend with more gloom.

He had come to Devlin asking for his views, but he had no suggestions himself. It was difficult to determine how they should proceed, but he did know that he would not give up on his home.
He shuffled on the seat before looking Devlin in the eye.
"I too am unsure on how we should proceed but this I do know my friend, I will never give up on Ossus."
He now stood and walked over to the window, looking out at Ossus.
"This is our home Devlin. I will not abandon it."

Devlin watches Typhor walk to the window and smiles.
"Nor I, my friend. As long as I draw breath."
He sighs.
"But events are churning. I sense...something on the horizon; just out of sight."
He did not know what it was, only that it felt dark, oppressive, and evil. But there was something else, too. Something he couldn't pinpoint.

Ossus' suns had now set, putting Ossus into darkness. And now it seemed, it might be plunged into further darkness yet again.
He bowed his head.
"So soon? Will there ever be rest?"
He turned back to Devlin.
"What do you suggest we do my friend?"

Devlin sighs.
"Always in motion, the future is." His voice was soft, hardly more than a whisper. One of the nice things about living in a library was the fact that he never ran out of quotable material. It was comforting to know that there was someone who had already said what he wanted to say and more elegantly.
He spoke louder. "Sooner or later, we will have to face the darkness once more. It is our lot in life. We're Jedi."
He joins Typhor and stands at the window. And smiles.
"Until then, let's enjoy the time we have."
He stares out into the vast jungle.
"We can plan. We can wait. We can train. But, most importantly, we must live. This place teems with life. That is what we fight to protect and preserve."

Devlin was right of course. They were Jedi and it was their duty to protect and serve those who couldn't do it themselves. He had now joined Devlin in once more gazing out the window. It was a beautiful night on Ossus. The calm before the storm it seemed.
"Yes, as Jedi we must serve to protect this beautiful planet and its inhabitants."
He turned to face Devlin now. A smile crept onto his face.
"As you say, let's enjoy ourselves while we can. Care for a duel?"

Devlin turns his eyes upon Typhor and smirks.
"Something to get the blood flowing?"
And to forget, even momentarily, the troubles brewing.

"Something like that!"
He smiled, turned and started walking towards the door. As he reached the door he turned his head back to Devlin.
"C'mon old man!"

Devlin smirks. Then follows Typhor out the door.
"We'll see who feels old after the duel."
Probably, the Cardooinian. He was, after all, not getting any younger.

The Training Room door slid open for the second time that night, but instead of just Zero walking through it, Devlin walked in too. Once inside, the door slid shut behind them and Typhor turned to Devlin.
"I'll let you choose where we fight today friend, just anything besides lava or extreme heat!"
Typhor had already fought on a landscape like that not hours before and was sick of the heat. He hoped for a cooler situation, or at least one which didn't cause him to perspire profusely within seconds.
He shrugged off his robes once more in preparation, they would just slow him down.
To be truthful, he doubted he could best Devlin in a duel, but it would be interesting to see where they both sat in terms of their skills. It wasn't a competition and Typhor knew that, but he was determined to win and with the Force as his ally, anything and everything was possible.

Devlin rubs his chin as he thinks.
"Where would I like to fight?"
He snaps his fingers.
"Kamino!"
The room shifts and changes.
Replacing the training room was the watery world of Kamino. Devlin and Typhor stood on a floating platform out at sea. Rain drenched them.
Devlin grins.
"How's this?"

Zero watched as the training room transformed into the dark, wet Kamino. A nice change for once, quite the opposite to what he was fighting in before.
He positioned himself roughly 10 feet from devlin before grabbing his lightsaber off his belt. He thumbed it on, the green blade snap-hissing to life, contrasting against the dark blue of the planets surroundings. Little puffs of smoke were constantly being created as each drop of rain touched the blade.
"An interesting choice my friend. Shall we begin?"
The rain seemed to be getting harder now, pelting both combatants relentlessly. Thankfully in his current form, Typhor had no hair to get in his eyes, so the water just dripped off his sharp face.
He positioned himself in the classic Soresu stance.
"Your move."

Devlin removes his lightsaber from his belt and ignites the viridian blade.
Standing with feet together, he salutes Master Zero by bringing the blade up to his face then lowering it swiftly with a flourish, making an X.
The traditional Makashi salute.
Devlin stands with his knees slightly bent, his feet perpendicular to each other, right foot pointing toward his opponent, and shoulder-width apart, and with his body rotated so he presents a smaller target. He holds his lightsaber in his right hand and his arm partially extended in a midguard.
His modified Makashi stance.
He smirks.
"The niceties of form must be respected, my friend. Clearly you employ Soresu. Shall I test your defenses?"
He made no move just yet. He was studying Typhor, looking for an opening. Unfortunately, his ability in Shatterpoint did not extend into conscious control.
