As the Star Destroyer headed for the surface, an Aka'jor-class shuttle was launched toward the landing site. It would stand off a short distance until the larger craft had set down safely, before making its landing approach. While the shuttle didn't contain anyone of authority, its cargo would allow a deal to be set up between the two ships safely.
Meanwhile, at the Breath of History, the first of the Shaadlar-type troopships also launched & began its climb into space. Despite the large size of the craft & the fact that they had been largely redesigned to function as cargo shuttles, while making use of the same basic hull pattern, they could only carry one of the solar collectors per trip. If it had still been in orbit, as is usually the case when deploying or collecting the solar collectors, the Core Ship could have could have used its much larger complement of twenty Aka'jor shuttles to coral the devices. However, as it was already on the planet's surface, it would have to rely on the four much larger shuttles to deploy them.

The Necrosis, an aged Victory II-Class Star Destroyer, had finally reached the LZ designated by the Imperium forces located on Ziost. Several kilometers away from the Sith Citadel, the ship touched down. A massive cloud of snow was kicked up by the thrusters as it came to rest on Ziost's icy terrain. The bridge of the ship was bustling with activity. Commander Maxwell was busily coordinating with other sections of the ship, ensuring that it was properly landed and secure. Akrak, on the other hand, was already leaving the bridge. He called over his shoulder to the Ensign at the Comms console.
"Inform both Hydra and Xavier Companies that I intend to be leaving the ship within twenty standard cycles. Commander, you are in charge of dealing with the Imperium. Help them with whatever they need to get us underway as soon as we can. Manpower, equipment, anything. And ensure the ship remains locked down. Only those required to provide aid are allowed to leave. If you need me, you can reach me on my holo-com. We are here on business. The bridge is yours."
And with that, the armored Sith entered the lift, taking it down to meet the Stormtrooper companies that would be providing him with assistance in searching the ruins. He had a feeling that they'd be finding exactly what had been calling him. All he had to do was listen and follow. Ensign Moore carried out her orders and the Commander snapped off a crisp salute as the lift doors closed. Once Akrak was gone, he got back to work, ensuring everything was ready when the Imperium needed their help.

With the star destroyer safely on the ground, the Aka'jor shuttle lifted off again & swung around to land in the main hanger of the warship. Once inside it would follow the directions of the landing crew to an appropriate spot to settle down. A scan of the craft would reveal only a single living creature, though a more detailed scan would show a few dozen small droids of an unknown model powered down in the cargo area. Once the shuttle had landed & the ramp came down, the sole passenger exited the craft with a repulsorsled holding a moderately large machine covered in lenses & projectors. If there was any doubt about the cultural identity of the Infinite Imperium, it was put to rest by the passenger's appearance. Only the mandalorians habitually wore armor like that. He turned to address whoever looked to be the highest ranking deck crew or greeting party in the area.
-Tech Greetings, I am here to set up the detail for the sale? If someone could direct me to the meeting room I will need a few minutes to set up my equipment.

As Akrak and his two companies of soldiers finished their preparations to go venture out into the Sith Citadel, the highest ranking deck officer, Senior Chief Petty Officer Solaris Conrad answered the Mandalorian's question.
"A pleasure. Our CO is on the bridge. I can direct you to Conference Room Nine on Deck Seven. An escort of Stormtroopers shall be along shortly to take you there."
Conrad motioned to the nearest turbolift as a two white plastoid Stormtroopers marched towards the Mandalorian. The first Trooper stepped forward.
This way.
The Trooper jerked his head in the direction of the lift and waited for the Mandalorian to fall into step behind the other Stormtrooper.

It did not take long for the stormtroopers to lead him to the room. Once there, the tech settled the machine down in the center of the room. A quartet of magclamps locked it harmlessly in place on the floor. So far the rig had been running off battery power, however, the main assembly was much more of a power hog. It took a few minutes for the small generator in the machine to power up fully. Once he was satisfied that the energy fluctuation had stabilized, the technician switched on the drone relays in it. They weren't complex enough to manage the startup sequence, but they could keep it within safety parameters once running. With that running smoothly, the technician switched his attention to the main device. After a short hum a halo of colored fog appeared around the device, projected from the various lenses. Slowly waving his hands through the fog, it gradually resolved into a number of surprisingly realistic & solid looking shapes. The addition to the holographs being projected, the machine also projected weak static fields around the objects show, giving them a jelly like texture & allowing viewers to interact with the projections without complicated manual inputs. For the moment, the technician was running through the focus programming. One unfortunate side effect of the machine was that moving it tended to shift the focus. After a few more moments of work, it looked as if a number of random objects were floating in the air. They were perfectly real & solid looking. Of course, physical contact would still reveal them as nothing more than projections. Once that was finished, the device was switched to relay mode. Within the machine, a high-bandwidth comm system was communicating with the Breath of History, from there a second machine was already waiting. Once both were running, a person in either room would be able to see & interact with each other as if they were standing face to face.
-Tech We are ready.

As Akrak and his two companies of soldiers left the ship and headed into the Sith Citadel, Commander Maxwell entered the conference room where the Mandalorian tech waited. As he stood off to the side, he inclined his head politely.
"My apologies for being late. Please, proceed."
Meanwhile...
Akrak entered the Citadel, followed by his two trooper companies.
"Spread out. Secure each intersection and begin scanning for artifacts. Four of you, with me. We are heading in deeper."
Without speaking another metallic undertoned word, the armored Sith strode down the wide open, frozen halls, following the draw of the dark side...

After a moment, the projectors on the machine reactivated, this time displaying a full sized & perfectly crisp image of the officer still on the Breath. Back on the Core Ship, the scene from the Star Destroyer was being likewise projected for him.
-Officer We will need to know your requirements as quickly as possible for food. We can provide a large amount of emergency rations immediately, but to be frank, they look & taste like someone else already ate them. We will be able to start harvesting the nutrient gruel within a week. That at least has the benefit of being bland. Fresh stock will take between three weeks & six months depending on the plant in question. Meat stocks will take about the same.
The emergency rations were extremely useful in that they more or less never expired, even after being opened. The bad part about them was that they had to be chewed heavily & tasted roughly like biological waste. The gruel took the least time to get started as it was the product of the algae vats. While it could be eaten as it was, the gruel was actually mainly useful for feeding the various other plants used to grow food in the hydroponics decks. The meat technically wasn't. It was actually a breed of fleshy insect fed on the gruel & then ground & reprinted into a substance that was nearly impossible to differentiate from meat without testing it in a lab.

Commander Maxwell listened intently. After a few moments, he cleared his throat and spoke.
"Our rations are not dire...yet. Our projections show our levels to be at 73% capacity as of right now. It's our fuel reserves that should be seen too. Though realistically, I do not expect you to be able to fill us up. Topping up our reserves until we could reach a larger port would be the most beneficial. Our fuel reserves have been drained to 67% total capacity. Aside from that, we have a few minor repairs we need to facilitate while on the ground. Which gives us a loose schedule of about four weeks. Hopefully that works into your timeframe as well. As for payment, I would have to discuss the details with our Lord. Partial payment can be offered through an extensive list of services my crew can provide. And as I said, the rest will have to be discuss with Lord Akrak."
Maxwell ceased speaking and awaited a response from the Officer on the other end.

As the connection was so close, there was no appreciable pause in the flow of the conversation.
-Officer Very well, the food will not be an immediate issue. If you forward us your crew's nutritional requirements, we can see about restocking your stores. Fortunately enough, your power requirements will not be a major issue. Our own requirements are currently far below our production capability. The conversion to hypermater instead of the power system we use will take some time, but should not present much difficulty.

Maxwell nodded in agreement.
'I shall have our Logistics Officer send over the appropriate information. I appreciate your willingness to aid us. I am sure my Lord Akrak appreciates it as well, though I doubt he'd ever admit to it. As for payment for your assistance, what would you require as compensation?"
As Maxwell continued the conversation with the Imperium Officer, Akrak made his way deeper into the Sith Citadel, hoping to find whatever artifact had drawn him there in the first place. Even if he was to find it, he doubted his journey was over after that. He had a sneaking suspicion that he was merely at the start of a long road ahead.

The officer checked his HUD for a moment. The various local currencies were worth little by themselves, but very nearly all of them took the Mandalorian Credit this close to Imperium space. While the Mandalorian credit & the Imperial Credit were both strong, the Republic credit had plummeted with the dissolution of the last Republic. They had a military alliance, but lacked a unified economy to back a powerful credit. Since it was so shattered, it was nearly as weak as the multitude of local credits & other scripts used by the independent systems.
-Officer Mandalorian Credits would be preferred. But we will also be willing to take Imperial Credits, nova crystal wafers, or other trade materials. Failing all of that, we can set up a labor exchange in order to meet the cost of the provisions.

Gunships zoomed down to the surface, skirting through canyons to hide their approach on the Sith Citadel. Malvus sensed the heretic's oblivious state... they had not even sensed the coming of the Sith to their home. Malvus turns to Lord Znalost who was with him in the main gunship.
We had best knock out their communication relays. Who knows the extent of their influence.
The mountainous terrain of Ziost could easily hide many festering nests of these heretics. Malvus turns away, looking through the viewport as the pilots made their way to the approaching Sith Citadel. Within the gunship, the soldiers begin clicking clips into their blaster rifles and Sith Warriors examined their lightsabers. The Jen'ari glances back at Znalost once more.
This is the Rite of Cleansing, Lord Znalost. It is our duty, as the Blackguard Reborn, to rid the galaxy of heretics... of those who believe they are true masters of the Dark Side when they are nothing but a mob of apostates, led by a disillusioned heresiarch. This is our Dark Crusade. This is our way of strengthening the Dark Side.
An alarm went off within the gunship as the transports made their final approach. Soldiers all rose from their seated positions, turning to look at the ramp, ready to disembark. Malvus draws onto the energy of the Dark Side, letting it spread out through his body as a focus. The energy seeped into his warriors, heightening their strength, their will to fight and their desire to kill the apostates that infected Ziost.

Znalost had to admit that Malvus was better at giving speeches than he would have thought, it was a good thing though. It was a way to keep morale up during battle, lucky for him the Cerberus battalion had no need for silly things as morale as they did as they were commanded to without question. As the shuttles landed and their ramps lowered Znalost walked off as did his Imperial sentinels and the Cerberus Battalion.
"If it's alright with you, I'll take my troops and knock out their communication relays then join back up with you and the rest of our forces."
Znalost walked back and forth inspecting his troops just to double check their readiness, while waiting on Darth Malvus to give the go ahead or give him a different mission entirely.

Make it so, Lord Znalost. Ensure all rooms you enter and pass are rid of their occupying heretics.
Malvus states as he turns away, watching his own soldiers disembark. The Sith draws up some dark energy that seemingly permeated upon the planet's surface. A black mist covers his infantry... seconds later, their muscles jerk slightly and limbs twitched as the soldiers were empowered with the Dark Side. It was nothing more than a simple stimulant to ensure the infantry fought hard and without any regard to their own lives. The Sith Lord sought to ensure the Sith Citadel was intact but the occupants of this location would find no mercy... and Malvus wanted to ensure it was a thorough job.
With the Sith magic in place, the infantry charges, with Sith Warriors, into the Citadel, seeking to defeat the enemies of the Blackguard Reborn. Malvus is seen walking among the charging infantry as he enters the Citadel himself.

Lord Znalost proceeded to head in the direction of the first Communication relays with Cerberus Battalion following closely behind. Znalost ignatied his saber as he and his battalion of undead soldiers entered the first of many rooms between him and the first relay. In the room there was several 'heretics', he raised his saber pointing at the group. Cerberus battalion rushed into the room running around Znalost and firing multiply blast from their blaster rifles, the 'heretics' dropped to the floor lifeless. Znalost walked in the room while letting out a chuckle, for he was impressed with the precision and efficiency that his undead soldiers had. Znalost hoped that Vellek was gathering all of this data, as it would only help them improve upon the next batch of soldiers. Znalost continued to use this tactic with the next three rooms as it was important to gather data from multiple occurrences to determine an accurate assessment of the undead battalion's usefulness in battles/engagements. Znalost approached the the fifth room, and proceeded to use his scanning which had been implemented into his cybernetic arm, the result of the scan indicated that this room housed the first of three communication relays. Znalost focused the force in the palm of his left hand and released it at the door causing it to fly inwards taking out three 'heretics', Znalost sprinted into the room quickly dispatching three more heretics before they knew what hit them. All the while Cerberus battalion enter the room and opened fire on the rest of the heretics as they tried to reach the relay to call for any reinforcements, once all of the heretics laid dead on the floor Znalost walked over to the relay console and disabled the relay, he patched himself into the internal comms of the citadel. He also setup and backdoor for his allies still in orbit to exploit.
Darth Malvus, the first relay has been taken care of. I'm patching you into their internal comms, it should greatly benefit your search for the leader of these Heretics.
Znalost proceeded to move out of the room and towards the next communication relay.
Meanwhile aboard the Paarchero, Doctor Vellek sat at a console to monitor the data being gathered from the battalion of the dead.
As he was monitoring the data coming in from the Cerberus battalion, Vellek noticed a backdoor into the Heretics internal comms. Vellek quickly exploited this backdoor and patched himself into the enemies internal comms. He also flagged down an officer on the bridge to inform them of the progress that had been made planet side.

Malvus keys his headset, listening to the communication from Znalost. The Sith gives his acknowledgment and begins listening to their internal comms, switching through the channels to see if anything of worth was mentioned. There were communications for coordinating defenses, requesting reinforcements, and other usual defensive messages between the various commanders. Then, his ears caught something and he flipped back a couple of channels. The Sith focuses in on the communication being heard by his ears.
The Heresiarch wants these crates loaded now! We are moving our operations to Dark Forest to the South. He wants these crates on the next shuttle out of here before their air power returns! Get a move on!
Damn them, thought Malvus. He keys his comlink to Znalost.
Lord Znalost, move with the best speed you can for the main hangar bay. It sounds like these heretics are trying to escape with precious cargo, direct orders from their apostate leader. End them now and secure the cargo! We cannot let them get away with anything of value!
Once the order was given, Malvus continued to key through the channels. He eventually heard something else of interest; it sounded like the heretic leader was preparing some sort of vile ritual at the top of the pyramid. Several high ranking personnel were being recalled to join him at the top. The Sith Lord knew where he had to go next it semed. His gaze looked upward, to the top level.

Lord Znalost and Cerberus Battalion had just cleared the second last communication relay when he received his new orders from Darth Malvus. Znalost motioned his Imperial Sentinels and a quarter of the Cerberus Battalion to follow him while the rest continue onward to the final communication relay. Znalost and his sentinels plus a quarter of the battalion exited the room headed into the North corridor and proceeded towards a turbo lift that would almost take them directly to the hanger, while the rest of the battalion continued to move towards the final relay which was through the west corridor. As Znalost and his small strike force pressed onwards they meet little to no resistance, which he could only assume meant that the heretics were guarding the hanger and the precious cargo that Malvus spoke of. Znalost and the strike force entered the turbo lift and proceeded to head down to floor which housed the hanger.
Meanwhile
The remaining Seventy-five members of the Cerberus Battalion arrived at the final communication relay, two of them breached the room while the others poured in afterwards firing their blasters at the heretics that guarded the room. Once the enemy combatants were killed, the seventy-five 'soldiers' of Cerberus Battalion received wireless orders from Doctor Vellek, who instructed them to disable the console within the room.
Hanger Entrance
Znalost had the twenty-five 'soldiers' of the Cerberus Battalion enter the hanger first so that they could spread out and began firing upon the heretics within the hanger. As they opened fire, the two Imperial Sentinels rushed in with their vibro-axes and began to hack and slash any heretic that got two close to the members of Cerberus Battalion. Lord Znalost walked in and gathered the force beneath his feet and jumped towards the heretics that were near the cargo, as he grew closer to them he ignited his lightsaber and threw it at the closest heretic. The lightsaber pieced the chest of Znalost's target, as he landed Znalost released a powerful force wave that knocked down the heretics that were nearby him. He pulled his lightsaber out of the heretic's chest via the force. Znalost quickly and efficiently dispatched the hertics around the cargo as they attempted to get back on their feet. Seconds later Znalost heard the last shot being fired, turning around so that he could assess the situation. He made note that only five of his 'soldiers' fell, while none of the heretics were left standing. Znalost keyed up his comlink to Darth Malvus so that he could inform the dark lord that the hangar was secured as was the cargo.
Darth Malvus, the hangar and the cargo have been secured. Awaiting further instructions, M'lord.
While waiting for a response from Malvus, Znalost received a short burst transmission from Doctor Vellek.
Sir, the third and final relay has been taken and disable. Your undead battalion are awaiting further orders.
Good to hear Doctor, have them ready to move out on my command.
By your Command, sir.

As Malvus approached what he felt was the epicenter of some unfolding ritual, the Sith Lord stops to hear the word from Znalost. This was good news, whatever the apostate's followers sought to take away was prevented. Who knew what damage they could have done with the cargo they desired to whisk away with. For a moment, the Jen'ari contemplated on the next orders requested by the Sith. Malvus keys his comlink to speak to Znalost.
One simple order remains, Lord Znalost... cleanse this citadel of all heretics. Leave none alive.
The Sith Lord keys off his comlink and continues to move down the rather silent corridor for where he could sense a gathering nearby.
================================================
My Lord Qaan, we cannot stay here! The Sith are overrunning the Citadel and our defensive forces are decimated!
I cannot raise our allies from the valley camps. I believe their air power has wiped them out completely!
The room where the heretical leadership had gathered was in a panic. Suggestions were thrown here and there, even some accusations were hurled as they sought some sort of composure. In the midst of the chaos, their Heresiarch remains silent and composed. Everything he had worked for was falling apart at the seams and his generals were becoming a desperate lot of sheep among wolves. He raises his hand to silence the sheep, allowing him to speak clearly.
I have sent forth word to our base within the Dark Forest. They are gathering their men and preparing to reinforce us.
You mean the group that was just eliminated in the hangar bay?
The voice came from among them as Malvus stood within the crowd of Heresiarch's commanders. Their chaos allowing him to slip in without detection and watch as the scene unfolded before his eyes. The sizzling sound of lightsabers igniting around him was heard as the apostate's leadership reacted, a bit delayed, to the presence of the Jen'ari. Malvus did not give them much heed as his eyes remain upon their leader.
You have fanatical devotion and charisma, but it attracts sheep to your flock... you are no alpha, you are just a con-man.
Malvus says as he taunts the opposing leader.
You promise glory, legacy, and great power... but yet it is promises you cannot fulfill.
The Heresiarch slowly rises from his chair, looking at the Sith Lord.
Who are you?
The Sith crystal within Malvus blazed with great power at that moment. His hands subtly moved to allow his two lightsabers to appear within his grips. His eyes gazing up at the leader as the swords ignited with crimson plasma.
Your... Death.

Upon receiving his new orders from Darth Malvus, Znalost keyed his commlink to Doctor Vellek, so that he may issue his command to his undead troops.
Doctor, please have the rest of Cerberus Battalion spread out and target anything living that doesn't have a friendly IFF tag.
Understood sir.
After a few seconds later the seventy-five 'soldiers' who were still at the third relay station began to move out in small kill squads of five. They moved into every room killing the living that didn't have the friendly IFF tag, the fifteen kill squads made short work out of the remaining heretics within the citadel. The sound of blasters being fired could be heard as the sound of the living died. Shortly after the only sound that could be heard on the different levels of the Citadel was that of troops marching down the various halls. Znalost had the remaining 'soldiers' that had assisted him in securing the hangar stay and hold the hangar unit they received the all clear. Znalost and his Sentinels made their way back to the turbo lift that would take them to the main control centre where they would wait to hear from Darth Malvus. Ideas of what could be done with this place once it was fully under the blackguard control raced through out Znalost's head, of course he would want to use this Citadel as the location of his new lab as the one under the Banol's maze was becoming quite small in the sense that it was becoming harder to contain his experiments there, Ziost would be perfect to store his experiments.

The fight between Malvus and the heretical leadership was over the moment he stepped into that room. The fools who dared call themselves Sith were hardly trained, perhaps using fear and tactics to keep their subordinates in line. Perhaps even money too was utilized to calm the masses they controlled. One by one, the Heresiarch's champions and captains fell to the crimson blades of the Jen'ari and his fierce Sith magic. One person was left screaming as Sith Magic caused a growth to appear upon his face and slowly, but surely, choke him. Another was burned terribly, left as a smoldering corpse upon the floor, the rest were decapitated or shocked to death. That merely left the leader himself.
There was no mercy, no hesitation, nothing that delayed the death of the cult's leader. For death came swiftly as the two lightsabers batted away the Heresiarch's weapon, slashed his right hand, then his left, before his torso was slashed with an X by the dual wielding Sith. He collapsed moments later and the battle for the Citadel had ended.
Moments later, a communication came in from Malvus to Znalost.
The leadership is no more. Wipe out whatever remaining resistance there is, Lord Znalost. This planet shall fly the banner of the Blackguard shortly.
