Pixelito was the capital city of the planet Malastare. It was home to most of the planet's native Dugs, because they were banished from elsewhere on the planet by the Grans. Pixelito was the staging ground of the Vinta Harvest Classic podrace. Its spaceport was Port Pixelito.

Asani finds herself wandering the city of Pixelito, not really sure what she is going to do now. She's been separated from her Master, and has been traveling with a group ever since in an attempt to eventually get to any sort of Jedi Temple. However they stopped here to watch a pod race and ended up accidentally leaving her behind, at least, she assumes it was an accident. Either way, they haven't come back for her, so now she's once again on her own. She moves to lay down by the side of a building, needing to take a moment to rest because she isn't used to the strong gravity. Her fur has become grey as of late, which any who know of her kind would realize means she is unhappy. It was also obvious she was a Jedi Padawan, since she was still wearing her robes, and has her shoto lightsaber clipped to a belt around her midsection.

Standing proud under the forceful gravity of Malastare, the Pixelito Mystics strutted down the street, civilians hurrying to clear the way for them. They were menacing, numbering four heavily armed humans and two menacing Duros, all carrying military-grade blaster rifles. It was obvious that they were in charge of this place, which the apparent leader of this group of them, a human female of about twenty-three, took full advantage of. She blatantly stole food from some of the stalls she passed as she patrolled the streets, taking a bite of this pasty and throwing it away, or sniffing an apple and tossing it back at the merchant she got it from. She was beautiful, true, with her smooth dark skin, and her long, lustrous black hair, but as soon as one reached her face, the beauty faded away to pure menace. She looked as if she sneered more than she smiled, and her eyes were full of hate, matching the eyes of her fellow gang-members.
In short, classic scum.
They wandered down the street, used to the high gravity of the world around them, the world in which they had been born and raised. Making a joke to one another, they rounded a corner, and came across a small, furred female, leaning near the doorway of their leader, the woman with the hateful eyes', home. The woman looked at the furry creature, taking in it's lightsaber, and the padawan robes, and thought for a second. The others were unsure of themselves once they saw the lightsaber, and started muttering. A Jedi was a rare sight, and their boss sure as hell didn't like Jedi on their turf. One of the humans, a man with short blond hair and a series of tattoos across his arms, slid up beside the woman, still looking at the diminutive resting Jedi.
What the hell are you going to do? Tha boss sure ain't gon like some Jedi on his street. What we gon tell him?
The woman paused to consider this, she really did. So she did the only logical thing a woman in her position would do. She leveled her blaster rifle at the resting Jedi, and squeezed the trigger.

Asani notices the menacing group long before they reach her. She hears them coming her way and really hopes that they will just leave her alone as she lays there innocently, but when they continue to get closer, only to stop at the building she is resting outside, she looks up to find that they are looking right at her. She knows that isn't good, but luckily she is already moving to stand as the woman points a blaster at her and fires and she nimbly leaps out of the way just in time to avoid the shot. She then quickly pulls out her lightsaber and it comes to life in a flash as she turns it on with a press of one of her claws. She stands back from them, holding her weapon with both of her diminutive hands, and doesn't attack. She really doesn't like her odds if she gets into a fight with them all, particularly with the increased gravity. "If you want me to move, I will leave. I don't want to fight you."

The moment the rifle had shot, most rational thinking in the group had been turned off. Two of the gang members, figuring their odds against a Jedi, even such a small one, were slim, slinking away quietly, planning to go and grab some backup. If in the process of doing so, they happened to get "lost" and wander far, far, far away from this place, then that would be pure luck, wouldn't it? As the others dove for cover around the street, those two, a Duros and one of the humans, turned and started running. The woman scowled, but if she backed down now, then the boss would surely have her head. She crouched down as she aimed another shot, even as her partners started shooting their rifles at the Jedi as well. Besides, something this small would probably pose no threat to a bunch of veteran gangsters such as themselves.
One of the gangsters had dove to the right of the Jedi, and was just bringing up his blaster rifles when the second shot was fired. Another, the one that had consulted the leader, had dashed to the left, slipping behind a crate of fruit to provide some mediocre cover, and shot a stream of blaster fire just a second after the leader. Lastly, the other member had tripped in the confusion, and was now furiously working to get his improperly maintenanced rifle to work. They were experiences gangsters, but none of them had ever been trained in military tactics. They were sloppy, and aside from the woman, most were poor shots, but made up for that with the sheer number of shots they filled the air with.

Asani is a bit surprised when two of the men turn and run, though there wouldn't be any facial expression to give that away, just that her fur would turn yellowish grey now. She guesses that they must not know Padawan robes when they see them, and have assumed she's a fully trained Jedi. While she certainly won't be complaining about having two less people shooting at her, it was still 4 to 1, and she isn't quite skilled in blaster deflection, and even for a full Jedi this would be a lot of blaster fire to contend with. However, even if these gangsters had good aim, they'd probably have a hard time hitting Asani as she draws upon Ashla's power to increase her already impressive speed. She goes dashing around to each gangster in turn, using her lightsaber form of choice, Ataru, she uses nimble, acrobatic leaps to get around their cover to strike at their weapons with her saber, and trying to be unpredictable in her movements to make it even harder to follow and get a good shot on her. She hopes that disarming the gangsters will be enough to end the fight.

As each of the gangsters' weapons were sliced apart, they each turned tail and ran, until all that was left was the final woman. Miraculously, no one had been injured in the slightest so far, the closest thing resembling an injury had been the malfunctioning blaster overheating and burning the man's hand. Other than that, she had somehow managed to remove each of the gangsters from the fight. They might be willing to face a Jedi with a trusty blaster at their side any day, but like hell they were going to fight tooth and nail for it. They followed the lead of the two from earlier, heading to inform their boss of the new arrival. He was not going to be pleased.
The woman, on the other hand, had no options. She had done the logic in her mind, and it had come down to kill or be killed. She had nothing else, she simply had to kill this Jedi, no matter what. With a prayer to whatever watched over her, she tossed the now smoking pile of metal to the side. The pieces bounced with a loud clang in the otherwise silent street, the only sound competing with the hum of the lightsaber shoto. The woman cracked her neck to one side, then the other as she sized her opponent up, and drew a vibro-knife. She was actually doing it, she was actually trying to fight a Jedi in melee combat. She dropped down into a combat stance, and started inching towards the Jedi. One step in front of the other, knife at her hips, other hand sticking out just below chest level, she was ready to move at a moment's notice.

Asani turns to face the woman as the rest of the men flee, her fur fading to a yellowish cream color as she attempts to calm her emotions and focus. She could see that this woman wasn't about to give up, and this wouldn't be an easy fight even in normal gravity. As it was, she knew she would get tired faster than this human, and thus would need to end this quickly. She decides though that there is no point in wasting energy making the first move, so she stands her ground and watches the woman carefully, studying her as she awaits a move, her tail twitching every now and then. The look in the woman's eyes though makes her frown, seeing that cold determination. She hasn't killed another before, but fears that she may have to in order to survive this current battle.

The woman advanced steadily on the Padawan, knife pointed down towards the diminutive creature's throat. Each step seemed to echo in the silent street, the intent behind it palpable. She was going to try to kill the Jedi, as much as possible. She was going to try to end this, permanently. The temperate sun reflected the sweat covering her face as she inched closer to the humming cyan saber. Part of her realized how ridiculous she was acting, but the other part...she had to protect her mom. She couldn't leave her behind, with no money, with no protection from the gangs that were part of their life. If she ran away now, the boss would know. He always knew these things. Nothing happened in this city without him knowing about it. He ruled most of the city's underworld with an iron fist, and controlled the funds that flowed in and out of this city with a spoken word. She ran, he would kill her, and then he would "forget" about her mom, and she would die. So, she did what he had always told them to do. She tried to kill any lone and lost Jedi, wherever she saw them.
Another step, and she was acutely aware of her heart pounding in her chest. This was stupid. She could still run. She could run, and grab her mom, and be out of the city that day. She could. She could go.....she gulped as she thought of the places she could go, and realized she was tied to this city. She couldn't leave. Nothing could free her. So she advanced, and the Jedi, despite how small she looked, towered over the woman in her mind, a figure of certain death.
Two more steps, and she was almost there. Nothing else mattered. She was there. She had to fight, to give it her all. She'd always fought, and she'd fight now. If not for her sake, she would fight for her mother, and her family. One more step and-
*Crunch crunch crunch*
Footsteps approached, slightly hurried. They almost sounded as if the person was late for dinner, and not walking into a showdown. The woman didn't bother turning around. It was probably just some random tourist, and they'd clear out once they saw the Jedi's lightsaber.
*Pew!*
Weird, she felt this pain in the middle of her back, slowly spreading. Her knees gave out from under her, and she toppled forward, impaling herself with her own knife when she fell. She had to be more careful, she could get really hurt from those knives. She felt the blood pooling, to contrast the heat in her back. She could die from them. Tears started to come as she slowly closed her eyes. She just had to get up, to fight the Jedi. She had to do it, for her mother. She's probably at home right now, watching one of her soap operas. She'll have to wait up for me, but I'll be with her soon. I'll see her soon....She stopped breathing, and her heart stopped.
The man who had fired the blaster round waved his pistol at the Jedi's face, urging her towards him.
The ones you let run away are on their way back. Unless you want to fight twenty more, follow me.
He turned and sprinted down an alley, heading for his home, leaving the woman's corpse in the street behind him.

She continued to stand still, unyielding as the human drew closer and closer, and she just held her lightsaber at the ready. But before the woman could make an attack, there was the sound of a single blaster shot, and then the woman fell and impaled herself on her own knife. She blinked, a bit startled by this turn of events, and reached out to use Force Healing on the woman, at least to slow the bleeding some so she had a chance of living, but then, she only felt the woman's life force ebb away and she turned her attention to the mysterious man who had ended the fight for her, taken a life in her place. Lifting her ears, her tail twitches a bit as she hears many footsteps in the distance and knows the man's warning to be right. With a nod she puts her lightsaber away and drops to all fours, quickly bounding after him.

The man turns corner after corner, down increasingly narrow alleys, never stopping to wait for the speedy Padawan. He had seen her flip and bound around the gangsters before, she could easily keep up with him. Though, he noticed with some amusement, she seemed to be breathing pretty heavily at the moment. Well, she'd adjust soon enough, or she'd die.
Finally close to their destination, the man slowed to a walk as he approached a door at the end of a dead-end street, refuse strewn about. It was obviously not the "good" part of town, by the suspicious stains and smells that wafted out of the corners, but it was quiet. Incredibly quiet, like the entire city had just disappeared, and all that was left was the Jedi and him. The street was hemmed in by all sides by other building's backs, with only a narrow alley leading into the part of the street. The mysterious man walked towards the sole door confidently, and slapped quickly a few buttons on a hidden panel. The door slid open silently, and the man stepped inside, confident that the Kushiban would follow.
Inside, it was a rather cozy house, with couch and a viewscreen taking up most of the living room they entered in. To the right was a small kitchen, sparklingly clean, and to the left was another hallway, with a series of doors. Presumably the bedrooms. The entire place was lit with warm yellow lights, and heated to just above normal room temperature. This combined with the wood floors combined to give it a completely different feel than the door outside would suggest, giving it a feeling of a home.
The man took off his shoes and flopped down onto the couch, pistol still holstered at his side. He covered his face with his hands, then spoke up.
You do realize every thug, criminal, and gangster in the city is going to know your face by the end of tonight, right?

Asani does swiftly follow after this mysterious man, keeping up as he snakes through the many narrow alleys. Indeed however, the increased gravity is wearing her out. It will certainly help to build her endurance if she lives long enough for her little body to adjust. Her fur turns orange as she grows wary of her current situation and this man she was following who she knew nothing about other than the fact that he saved her from death or capture, more likely one before the other. She didn't want to even think about what would have happened if they captured her, but memories of her time on a slave ship came rushing to her mind, and she knew, being a captive Jedi would be far worse. Figuring that there would be much torture to endure.
She shakes her head to try and shake these unpleasant thoughts from her mind as they reach the end of a dead-end street while also taking a moment to catch her breath. Her tail twitches nervously as she follows the man as he works a few keys of a hidden panel and opens a door. She takes a deep breath, hoping she's not just being lead into an elaborate trap, then follows him into the home. She finds the contrast between the nice looking home and the ally quite striking, and finds herself hoping this man will let her stay here for a time while she figures out how to get off this planet. As she walks into the living room, she sits on the floor and looks up at the man, nodding at his question. "Well, you're right I'm sure, but the only thing I did to get myself into this mess was be myself... I wasn't looking for trouble, it found me... Maybe I should get some sort of cloak or something that would conceal my lightsaber a little better, but it's a little late for that now... I'm pretty sure I'm the only Kushiban on the planet, so they don't even need to know my face. Just look for the little furry Jedi with big ears and a tail..." She says with a shake of her head. "What am I going to do now? All I want to do is get back to any sort of Jedi Temple..."

The man snorted then got up and headed towards the kitchen. He called out behind him as he opened the fridge, rummaging around for something for his guest and himself.
Fat chance with that now. Any transport you walk onto is likely to explode the moment it clears the city.
The man pulled out a steak, took another look at his furry guest, sighed, and put it back in. He continued rooting around as he continued to talk.
Want my advice? You gotta end the head honcho. Moment he's gone, every gangster in this city is going to be too busy shooting each other to bother with any Jedi. 'Course, you gotta find him first.
He pulled out a couple of fruits and vegetables, as he wiped his slightly sweaty, long blonde hair back. He started washing his hands after he got out the cutting board, settling for a salad for the both of them. Not wanting to be offensive, he was trying to play it cool for his fluffy guest. His unnamed fluffy guest. He called back out once more as he started drying his hands.
What's your name?

Asani watches as the man gets up and heads into the kitchen, then soon follows, looking to see what he was doing. Her fur turning a bright yellow as she happily sees that he seems to be making a meal for the both of them. Fruit and vegetable salad certainly would be fine with her. She thinks about his question, but answers his request for her name first, since that was easy. "My name is Asani. As for this boss, do you know anything about who he is and where or how I should go about looking for him? I'm afraid I'm pretty new around here and don't know too much about the city. I've also never killed anyone, but if this man you are talking about isn't going to stop until I'm dead, I guess I will have to take him out one way or another..." She says with a shake of her head.

He finally finished washing his hands, and got towards actually making a salad. Chopping the vegetables, mixing them together. The standard stuff. He had done this once before, to impress this vegan chick....but that was a rather unpleasant memory. He shuddered as he recalled that. So much hemp, so much itching. It had been awful.
No clue. If I did, I would've put a bolt between his eyes years back. My suggestion? Kill enough of his men until you piss him off. It's either that or go to one of his rival gangs.
That was ridiculous, thought the mysterious man. A Jedi working with a gang? That was about as likely as a Gamorrean suddenly composing a symphony. He smiled to himself at the image of that, and kept on chopping the vegetables, mentally reviewing what sauces he had at the house. No salad was complete without a sauce. Maybe ranch? He looked back at Asani, and realized he didn't know if that could harm her. Damn, he didn't know a thing about her species. He sighed. Guess he was having no sauce on the salad. Did they sleep in beds? Or did he just need....bedding. It was a confusing prospect for him.

She shakes her head and, her fur turning a light grey as she really doesn't like the idea of killing a bunch of people, even if they were gangsters, just to flush out their boss, and the idea of joining a gang didn't sound much better, and she too realized it was rather ridiculous. Surely if they didn't laugh and use her for target practice for the mere idea of a little Kushiban joining their gang, Jedi or not, they would want her to do something to prove her worth to them, which could end up being even worse than killing a bunch of gangsters. But, considering the two options, she decides it's worth a shot at least. "Well, if I was going to approach a gang and offer to help them bring this guy down, is there one in particular that really hates this particular gang?" She asks as she looks up at the man again, and turns to look at the food he is preparing. "What kind of salad are you making?" She asks curiously, accompanied by another color shift. There likely were sauces that would give her a stomach ache, as her kind were herbivores and might not be able to digest anything made from milk or cheese for example. Of course she wouldn't mind if he asked about what to serve her, knowing that her kind are rarely seen outside of Kushibah. As for other needs, they could get to that later.

He continued chopping the salad.
Uh, just putting a bunch of random vegetables together. Figured you look a bit hungry.
He continued chopping the salad. The started to pull out the bowls.
As for the gangs, I'd recommend heading to the Monkey's Paw bar. Go look for a guy named Yolt. If you're actually serious, that is. Though a Jedi joining a gang is ridiculous.
He grabbed a few utensils for the salad, then started tossing the salad into the bowls.
But for today, I'd suggest you get some rest. You look exhausted.

Sitting on the floor and relaxing her fur continues to grow lighter, fading to a creamy light yellow. She nods at his answer about what he's making. "Oh, I see. Suppose you just guessed I'm an herbivore, or do you know a bit about my species?" She asks curiously. "As for the gangs, I know it's ridiculous, but I don't terribly like any of my options right now, and I like this better than the idea of just going around killing people hoping to lure out the boss... Though I have a feeling I may feel differently after I meet with this gang..." She shakes her head but remains calm. "Rest would be good though first, you are right. Do you have any blankets and/or a cushion I could borrow?"

The man carefully avoided the first question, and proceeded onto the second. He put down the bowls on the table, and pulled out a chair for himself and Asani. He started on his rather green meal, and spoke between bites, with his mouth full.
You're going to have to kill someone. No way to avoid that. No gang will take you seriously if you don't. But don't worry about it. Most of these thugs are murderers and kidnappers, so if anything, you'll be doing the city a favor.
Finally deciding he couldn't have any more of this plain, ordinary salad, he took out the ranch sauce. He applied it liberally, then went back to his salad with gusto. Why didn't he make these more often?
'Till then, you can have the couch. I'll grab a few blankets for you when I'm done, and we can get started in the morning.

She shakes her head again but jumps up into one of the chairs and stands on the seat to reach the table, beginning to eat. "Well, I've never had to kill anyone before... I'm sure some of these people still have families and such, but you are right. They are harming or even killing the other people in the city, and I suppose there isn't always a clean and nice way of stopping them." She says before taking a few more bites. "So honestly, I don't like either plan, but if I must I will do one of them... Who do you think this gang is likely to ask me to kill if I try to join them? Some random innocent person, or another gangster from the rival gang?"
