Phew. She hadn't noticed his skillful dodge of the question beforehand. Still, he would have to remember what he had fed his pet rabbit when he was 12. Not that she was a rabbit, of course. Not that he was implying it at all. Damn, he was bad around aliens.
Well, if I were you, I'd go straight and tell them you're the Jedi that the Big Guy's been looking for. 'Plain how you want to take this guy out, and they'll take it from there. I doubt you'll have to kill any innocents. Bad business.
He went to pour himself a glass of water from the sink, to wash down the remains of the salad. Huh, he still remembered when he had been that naive, and cared about those assholes' families. Still, she'd get over it. He did.

"Alright, I guess I'll seek them out tomorrow and get this over with... I do very much appreciate your help, both back in the city streets, and now. I really don't want to think of where I'd be right now if you hadn't come, assuming I wasn't just killed outright..." She says before turning back to her food and working at finishing off the rest of her plate. Looking up as he gets a glass of water, she decides she is thirsty as well. "Would you mind getting me a glass of water too?" She asks before stretching a bit and yawning. It was certainly about time for sleep, and she finds herself hoping she can sleep well with everything going on right now. Perhaps a moment to meditate before sleep would help clear her mind.

He quickly washed off another glass. He didn't get company often, so he was, in a way, trying to impress. Plus he didn't have any other clean cups. Filling the cup quickly, he handed it to the fluffy Jedi, then stifled back a yawn. Damn, had done nothing all day long, and was still tired. Well, not like he was heading out today. Besides, he thought looking purposely at the Jedi. This kid is gonna need a lot of help tomorrow. Whoever heard of a Jedi who never killed a person? He shook his head. What were those lightsabers for, if they weren't planning on chopping someone's arm off every weekend. He just hoped that when push came to shove, she'd have the resolve to kill, or he'd be burying another rabbit in his backyard.
He realized he was frowning, and put on a smile. Anyhow, that was for tomorrow. Tonight, he had a tired guest, and there was no point giving her nightmares.
No sense giving yourself a headache thinking of the what-ifs, now. You're too tired for that. The blankets are in the drawers under the viewscreen. I'll grab you a pillow now, and we'll plan the rest of it out tomorrow.
He went to do just that, leaving his guest alone with her thoughts while he made the bed.

She knew he was right, it was late, and she was tired, but as she finished off her food and washed it down with the glass of water, she decides that with how he's helped her, and what they are planning for tomorrow, she owes him the truth about just how much of a Jedi she was, though she'd honestly be surprised if he hadn't already guessed at it. She leaves her dishes on the table and hops down off the chair to head into the living area to meet with the man, and looks up at him as she enters the room. "There is something I should really tell you before we go any further. I am not a full fledged Jedi yet, rather I'm still a Padawan, separated from my Master during a mission, and I've been traveling around trying to get back to some sort of Jedi Base or Temple for a while now. Easier said than done when you don't have your own ship or any credits."

The man shrugged. Padawan, Jedi, didn't really matter much to most folk. They both carried lightsabers, and they both could make you explode with their mind. He pulled out a pillow, fluffed it, and tossed it gently at Asani.
Most folk aren't going to care about that. That thing at your side... He pointed at her lightsaber ...Is all they're gonna care about. Better know how to use it, they're not gonna pull punches if you don't. So don't go around telling people you ain't a real Jedi yet, and they might just be scared enough of you not to try anything.
Course, there would always be some idiot, balls bigger than his brain, who'd try to fight a Jedi. The woman he had shot earlier today had proved it, hadn't it? Still, if that happened again, she had best be prepared to use that lightsaber. Any weakness among these gangsters, and they'd pounce on her like flies on a carcass. For both their sakes, he hoped she would be strong enough to kill them all, should the need arises. What was the phrase the Jedi called it? Aggressive Negotiations? Well, he hoped she was a damn good negotiator, because if she wasn't, she'd be waste deep in blood, hers or others, in no time.
Anyways, rest easy now. Chant, or whatever it is you Jedi do instead of sleep, and we'll figure things out in the morn. Sleep well.
With that, he made his way to his room, shut the door, and tossed his pistol under his own blanket. Curling up under the covers, he went over the events of the day in his head as he fell asleep. He remembered the woman's crumpling body last, before he fell asleep.

Asani wouldn’t know about making anyone explode with her mind, but she certainly did carry a lightsaber, and she knew how to use it. While even in Ataru, her lightsaber form of choice, her ability may not be as refined as that of a more experienced Jedi, she was well practiced, and even if she hasn’t ever killed anyone, she has seen some actual combat when she and her Master came upon some Weequay thugs on Felucia who were intending to poison a bunch of farms. As for negotiation, she had less real world experience, but she was smart, and hopefully that would work in her favor. She catches the pillow tossed at her, even if it is as big as she is. She tosses it up onto the couch and leaps up onto it. She would stay awake for a short while longer as she meditates quietly before finally laying down on the pillow and falling asleep. The next morning, she awoke early and after a bit more time spent meditating, she began to practice with her lightsaber, keeping the blade switched off so she could train silently not risk waking the man she is staying with.

The man woke up, and headed to the refresher. A quick shower later, he was buckling up his blaster, and hiding the knives on and around his body. Checks the clock. Still early. Time enough to make breakfast for his guest. Time enough to check the news of the day for any updates, any news of Him. He headed down the hall towards the living area, and stopped just outside to watch the Jedi go through her forms. Leaning against the wall, his eyes tracked the delicate and precise movements of her body, the twisting and twitching of her tail to match the more strenuous movements. It was an art, and a rare one to see, so he figured he'd take the time just to observe her, watch her train with the unlit lightsaber. His imagination took hold as he watched, and the lightsaber came to life in his mind, striking and blocking against shadowy foes, always moving.
He sighed after a while, and headed to grab his morning cup of caf. It was a rare luxury he probably shouldn't be able to afford, but he swore he was addicted to the thing, and every morning started with his dose of caf. He called out to the Jedi as he walked past.
Feeling hungry? Or do you want to get this done with right away.
He paused for a moment, then flicked a few buttons. Within seconds, the machine was pouring out the rich, dark liquid, and he was already salivating.
'Spose you could grab a bite to drink at the bar, but I don't think they have anything fresh. I think the last time they had fruit delivered was a month ago.
Actually, it had only been twenty-two days. He would know. He had monitored the ins and outs of that place, as well as the gang-activity it concealed, for months. That place, and countless others, he knew better than the back of his hand. But he figured she didn't need to know that bit, so he might as well keep it to himself.

She was practicing more than just her lightsaber form, and could sense him coming, though his footsteps would also be unlikely to go unnoticed by her rather large ears. But she doesn't mind him watching her, and continues on as if nothing is different. When he finally speaks to her, she stops and puts her lightsaber away. The mention of getting food at the bar sounds like a valid option till he says they last got fruit a month ago. "Yum... I think eating here sounds like a better idea then, if you don't mind." She says as she removes her robes for the moment before pulling out a small brush and beginning to brush out her fur. "Anything more I should know about this gang that you can tell me?"

Well, may as well go with the old classic, and pull out the cereals. A few seconds later, and they were both sitting down over bowls of cereal. The man had spread a few photos over the table, and was explaining the hierarchy of the gang to the girl. He started from the top, and grabbed a picture of a short, stocky, bald human in his late 30's. He had red skin, with a tattoo of a skull underneath his left eye. This was probably used to distract away from the long scar on his right side, stretching from just below the eye to his chin, cutting across the lip. It was a nasty one, and gave him a permanent sneer.
This is Boss Moiur. Took control of the Proxly Gang three years back through an incredibly bloody coup, has held the gang under an iron fist since. Veteran of some war with the Mandalorians, don't know what side he worked on. He's ruthless, violent, and crude, but don't underestimate him. He's sharp as a knife, and incredibly dangerous. On the other hand, he also has one of the best spy networks in the city. You're going to want to speak with him. If he doesn't know where The Boss is, then he doesn't exist.
He pointed at another picture, this one of a Zabrak with yellow skin, probably in his early 20's. He had black tattoos going down like lightning bolts from his horns, but other than that, very few identifying features. He was incredibly muscled, and from the few pictures that the man had pulled, knew how to use a blaster to deadly effect.
This is Ro-Wren. Moiur's second in command, and almost as dangerous, but much more unpredictable. Rumor is that he escaped from some prison transport overhead Bastion, and killed and murdered his way over to Pixelito. Honestly, I could believe it. He's unhinged, and definitely a sadist. You see him, you let me do the talking, and keep your hand near your lightsaber. As long as Moiur is in the room, Ro-Wren will be tame as a puppy, though. So focus on Boss Moiur.
He showed her a couple more photos, just of the various lieutenants, and the gang symbols used. Once he was done with that, he grabbed his bowl and headed over to the sink, letting her look at the men for a few seconds more.

Asani finishes brushing her fur before heading into the kitchen as the man sets out breakfast. She eats her cereal while he shows her the pictures, trying her best not to think about what these guys would do to her if this went badly, but she was nervous, even scared, and it shows as her fur shifts to a dull orange as the confrontation with the gang draws near. She commits the face of each important member to memory along with what the man was telling her about them, knowing the knowledge will likely prove vital. She does find herself wondering how he came to know all this, but deduces that he probably wants this gang taken out too, which is why he's helping her, and she doesn't ask, deciding it doesn't matter either way in the end. As she finishes her breakfast, she jumps down to the floor and makes her way back into the living area, putting her robes back on and hooking her lightsaber to her belt. "Alright, I guess now is as good a time as any to do this, and I'm as ready as I'll ever be... The longer we wait the more nervous I get, so let's just get this over with..." She says as she turns her attention toward the exit and stretches a bit.

They headed out, turning down the same confusing twisting alleys they took to reach his place the first time. It was a bite slower, but still incredibly hard to memorize. Which suited the man just fine. Finally, they reached a main street, but the man quickly turned off it, and down another series of side alleys. Twisting and weaving through the city, they passed rich, affluent neighborhoods, and then in another second were in the slums of the ghettos. He knew his way around his city, and it showed. Taking a sudden right turn, suddenly they were in front of the shady cantina he had shown Asani pictures of. He held open the door for the Jedi, and as she passed, whispered a quiet warnign to her.
Keep your hand near your lightsaber, and watch yourself. They should be here in a half-hour, so get used to the place.
That done, he molded his face into a mean, calloused look, and strode in, hands near his pistol. He casually walked up to the bar, and plopped down on a seat, waiting for his man to appear. He ordered a small beer, delivered in a dirty glass, and sipped on it as he kept the corners of his eyes on the door.

As they leave the home and begin the twisting series of turns toward their destination, Asani finds herself thinking about just how much this man must either value his privacy, or not wish to be found. Even after being lead along this path both coming and going, she doubts if she would be able to navigate it on her own. Still, as they continue moving through the city, Asani works on clearing her mind to focus on the mission and remain calm, and slowly the color fades from her fur. She doubts anyone in this gang they are going to meet with is likely to be a Kushiban expert, but it never hurts to be careful about potentially walking into the cantina wearing a sign that she's nervous about something. As they reach the Cantina, she rises up to walk on two legs and straightens her robes a bit before letting her arms rest at her side, her right paw resting against her lightsaber. She gives the man a nod as he holds the door to her, slightly lifting an ear to his whisper as she walks inside. She tries to look natural and despite her curiosity avoids the urge to glance around the cantina, but she compensates by listening carefully with her sensitive ears and feel out the place with Force Sense. She would leap up to a seat at the bar, a few places down from where her new friend ends up sitting, and orders a brandy, sipping at it a little when the drink is placed in front of her, though she barely drinks any of it. Otherwise she just waits, and stays very alert as the time ticks by and the time to meet these gangsters approaches.

The tension raises in the room as the door opens, admitting a portly man of about twenty. He saunters in, looking side to side with an arrogance that was further bolstered by the multitude of weapons he carried. Following him just a few steps behind him was the Zabrak from the photos, and suddenly the cantina silences. He steps in calmly, and the patrons of the cantina wisely avoided eye contact as he surveyed the room. Seeing it was all clear, he stepped back a moment, and someone of much greater importance walked in.
He didn't saunter, he didn't strut. He simply walked into the room, and immediately his presence seemed to fill it. He was in charge, it was simply a natural fact, like how water was wet. Even from the Asani's rescuer's perch atop his bar stool, it was present. He looked around the room, taking it all in with cold, calculating eyes, then started towards the mysterious man. The others of Moiur's posse followed behind him, weapons clunking loudly as they were subtly displayed. The man sighed, then finished his drink and turned to face him, hand held up towards Asani to tell her to wait a second. Moiur stopped about two feet from the man, and clicked his tongue.
Lucius.
Moiur.
Have you come here to die?
The man, whose name was now revealed to be Lucius, was acutely aware of the eyes on him. Not directly looking at him, of course, but he could tell the cantina's residents were all interested. Pistols were unholstered, rifles were suddenly in need of polishing, electricity was in the air. The Zabrak just stared casually around the room, checking off each weapon mentally. The bartender was, surprisingly, nowhere to be found. This place was just waiting for a spark to set it off. Lucius spread his hands, clear off his pistol.
Not today. I have a deal for you.
The gangster paused for a second, then squinted his eyes at the fellow in front of him. One of the henchmen close to his right hand laughed quietly, but Lucius ignored it, focusing directly on Boss Moiur.
What kind of deal?
I got a way to take out The Boss for you.
Moiur's hand was a blur, but a snap echoed throughout the quiet room, and the formerly laughing henchman was on the floor. The bald man paused to look down at his hand, and wiped it off with mild disdain on his jacket. He sighed when he noticed another stain forming on the jacket, and slipped it off. He took a seat down at one of the chairs, the bartender suddenly appeared. Within seconds, the two men were sipping beers in the silent room. After a few sips, Boss Moiur finally turned to look at Lucius, eyebrows raised. In reply, he spread his hands towards Asani. Moiur took a look, then returned to sipping his drink.
What's she?
Jedi.
Moiur almost choked on his drink in surprise, then turned to Lucius in the room. All pretext of subtlety gone, every weapon in the room was suddenly out, the majority of them pointed at Asani. The Zabrak had stopped scanning the room, and was staring at the Padawan, his hand lightly grasping his pistol in it's holster. The bartender wringed his hands nervously, caught between standing in point zero in a gunfight, and ditching the criminal lord who ruled this cantina. Moiur recovered himself, then set down his drink.
Should I ask this time?
Lucius has just been calm as always, sipping his drink.
Probably not. Do we have a deal?
The Boss finished his drink in one large swig, then pivoted around to face Asani. His cocked his head, studying her features in depth. His eyes were colder than ice as he appraised her, analyzing everything he saw. His eyes were drawn to the lightsaber, then continued on, catching every detail. Finally, he looked back up, gazing those cold, deadly eyes directly into Asani's.
What's your stake in this?

Without even looking, Asani instantly knows with near certainty that the man, or men as the case may be, that they were waiting for, have entered just by the change in tone through the cantina. She continues to sit quietly at the bar, taking another tiny sip of her brandy, taking great care to avoid having too much, which was certainly a challenge at her size. She lets Lucius do the talking at first, but when The Boss turns his attention on her, she turns to look back at him, trying her best to remain calm while feeling like the man was a predator sizing up his prey, not to mention nearly everyone else in the cantina poised to shoot her dead if she so much as sneezed the wrong way. She mostly succeeds, her fur just shifting tone very slightly as she works to hold her emotions in check. Her voice is calm as she answers his question. "Well, I was minding my own business when some... associates of this other boss which I am told you don't particularly like, decided to use me for target practice. At this point they are probably not going to rest till they manage to hunt me down and put a blaster bolt through my back... So, as much as I wish there was another way out of this, it seems we have a common enemy."

Moiur held his cold, calculating gaze, matching her eyes completely. There wasn't hatred, there wasn't anger or fear, there was simply a ruthless cunning behind those eyes, calculating everything around him. Measuring it.
The man on the ground had been left where he had fallen, and was starting to bleed from his mouth. Probably bit his tongue on the way down. No one made a move to help him as he groaned in pain, and the Zabrak kicked him sharply in the side to shut him up. Ro-Wren was different. Behind his eyes, there was a constant rage that burned, a wildness of his eyes belaying his insanity. He held his blaster pistol hard, his knuckles turning white from the strength of the grip. He obviously ached to start firing, but his eyes kept darting back onto Moiur whenever his grip became too heavy, and lightened up on it. He felt like a leashed wolf hiding amongst sheep, but what would that make Moiur?
Ro-Wren's master looked around, then stood up.
Well then. Follow me.
He strode down the cantina floor, towards a small, unremarkable door at the end. He tapped a few digits out of sight into a keypad, and it opened up with a hiss. He walked onwards, and Ro-Wren was left with the two companions. He motioned for them to start moving with his free hand, and waited to follow them out. Lucius looked at his drink, debating between finishing it or leaving it alone, and stood up to look at Asani. He made an "after-you" type gesture, and waited for her.

Asani doesn't even wait for Lucius to urge her on, she would only watch Moiur move toward the doorway for for a moment before dropping off the barstool and landing quietly on the floor, walking upright as she follows the gang boss toward said door which she is sure leads into some sort of private room. She leaves the rest of her drink behind, knowing she will get drunk if she finishes it, already tipsy as it was. When the door opens, she quietly follows Moiur inside, continuing to walk upright as she felt it made her look less like someone's pet when walking with other people, but mostly because it left her paws free to grab her lightsaber if the situation should call for it. She still can't believe she's about to be working with a gang just so she can have a chance to get off this planet in one piece. What an adventure this search for her master is turning out to be.

Inside the door was a mediums-sized study, with a large wooden desk in the middle being the most prominent feature. Along one of the walls was a large viewscreen, and along another was a medium-sized painting of some minor historical figure. There was a set of two chairs in front of the desk, and Moiur was already sitting at his seat behind the desk. Waiting for his guests to sit down, he leaned forward, clasping his hands together.
Understand this, Jedi. The Boss has been hunted by every law organization around, including Jedi. They either never found him, or were killed. Most don't people don't even know where his base of operations is.
He leaned back, a satisfied grin on his face.
Most people aren't me.
He tapped a few buttons on a keyboard hidden behind the desk, and the viewscreen flicked active. It showed an image of a large, non-descript warehouse, with the windows boarded up. It didn't stand out in the slightest, and that's why it was such a good hideout. Moiur brought up a street address over it, then turned back to his guests.
This is it. He's been smart, but some of my informants caught wind of a spice operation being run out of here. Something real big. Big enough for The Boss to come out himself. You and about ten of my guys should be enough to shut it down. Understood?

Asani hops up onto a seat and sits down on it as she gazes back toward Moiur, very serious and remaining quiet for now as he explains how many others have tried and failed to take out 'The Boss'. She knows she must not fail, but hopes that she is up to the task. Even as Moiur explains how much he knows about where this boss is running operations and the fact that she will be with a team of his men, she knows this will most likely not be easy. She has never been a leader on any sort of mission, and doubt's that Moiur's men would listen to her anyway, so she doesn't have a problem with following the orders of Moiur and his men for this mission.
"I understand, yes. Just tell me when this is happening and what you want me to do, and I will help to the best of my abilities."

He waved the Jedi away.
May as well go now. There should be a speeder waiting for you outside. Once you've cleared the warehouse, give my men the all clear and they'll move in behind you.
He turned around, clearly finished with this conversation. Lucius shrugged at Asani, then headed outside to meet the speeders. The moment he was clear of the cantina, Lucius breathed a large sigh of relief, and slumped a bit. That had gone surprisingly well. He had expected Moiur to put up more resistance, or at least be less trusting, but he had just given them the info needed. Still, he thought while he looked over to Asani, he was expecting her to kill an entire gang by herself. His men were probably there to ensure no one escaped, and report on any reinforcements. Looking at the troops selected, he began to believe that even more, noticing a distinct lack of heavier weaponry. The most these guys had was one guy with a blaster rifle. Still, beggers can't be choosers. He checked his blaster, then holstered it. He turned to look at Asani, and quietly talked to her while the gangsters were readying.
Think you can do this?

She blinks a bit as Moiur waves her away and states that there should be a speeder waiting for her outside. Had he set this all in motion before they even met, or as they entered the room after their brief chat at the bar. Either way, it looked like she was expected to take out a gang headquarters all on her own, and she'd be lying if she had said she wasn't nervous about it, her fur shifting deeper orange making that clear anyway. She follows Lucius outside, turning to look at him as he speaks to her. "Well, I guess I don't have much of a choice. Either I do this, die trying, or if I don't do it I'll be dead sooner or later anyway... I'll give it my best."
