-Z'har I can safely say the Force was in no way involved in our little excitement today. Excluding the Force, what would you find a reasonable theory? If you had to think one up.
It would be interesting to see if she would guess right. It wasn't exactly common knowledge, but enough people knew or had heard legends.

"Biotech? Bionics? Prosthetics? Robotics? Cybernetics? A combination of all of them or a few of them really. Question isn't what you're made of, it's why you are. You've got some stories...your body must have been as broken as your ship at one point, maybe it still is," She shrugged as she listed off everything from the top of her head while her character dismounted from the tiger and started to pelt a mob of tigers with arrows.

-Z'har It would be hard to be wrong with a list like that. I think you more or less just named every possible way of boosting someone, save chemical. & some of the more exotic things on the fringes of settled space. It is like the saying goes, you would be surprised at what you can live through.
Truth is he had explored a little bit of each of them over the years, just not on himself. At the moment she was still more or less firing blindly, trying to get more information before committing. Not that he would be handing out his major secret that quickly.

Ni'na Me's Home
She shook her head and looked at him curiously, up and down not really sure what to make of how to answer him, or the man himself for that matter. He basically told her to continue to guess. She had named every conventional method she knew. The only things left were chemical, and or force magics. Of the latter she knew nothing about. She looked back to her game and sighed.
"So if it's not any of those things? What are you? You went about fifty out of that hallway carrying me, and running away from that cloud of chemicals. I am at a loss for what you are, if you are not enhanced by conventional or chemical means, then that only leaves the force. The latter is quite extensive in of itself, and quite frankly can lead to some very dark means to stay alive."
A message popped up on her feed board and she pressed her headset to communicate, "No I have a guest, I can't raid tonight like I planned, can you carry the party without me? All right, do your best."
She looked back at Z'har, "Who are you?"

Z'har let her work through all her thoughts before replying to the last question first.
-Z'har If that isn't the million credit question, I don't know what is.
He smiled a little at her as he leaned back in the couch. A action that made him wince a little before he muted the pain feeds from his back injury again.
-Z'har Who I am is simple enough. I already told you in fact. I am a man on vacation & traveling to see the galaxy. Does the what really matter when it comes right down to it?
He did however decide to close on a lighter note.
-Z'har Also, I only topped out at about thirty on that run.

She scoffed and rolled her eyes, "Only thirty? Right, okay, so we have who you are covered. So what are you? And are you affiliated with anyone? If it's a matter of what, and having been through much, your augmentations must have cost a pretty credit, or a great deal of self sacrifice to stay alive. I may be a mechanic, but I've always been intuitive. Never been able to explain it."
She reached down to the coffee table to grab the ale she had been drinking and accidentally knocked it over, she flinched and opened her palm. The bottle found itself floating briefly between the table and the couch, before she snatched it up and took a swig, "That was close, so yeah, the what is important."

-Z'har I am on vacation, by definition that means any affiliations I may or may not have are not in play. Also yes, for your information it was rather costly & did required the metaphorical pound of flesh.
Z'har watched the bottle start to topple, pause, then get caught. He wasn't sure at first. True it would have been enough back in his hunter days for him to test it more, but now he had a simpler option. Opening the relevant memory, he slowed down the progression & watched it again. The bottle definitely slowed to a stop for a split second before it was 'caught', she was a force adept. An untrained one, but still. A useful bit of information, but how to use it. Outside his mind however, an observer wouldn't even notice the difference in time between the last sentence he spoke & the next one.
-Z'har The specifics however, aren't something I care to share. I would prefer that you not share anything on the subject either.

"Who would I tell?" She looked to him, and sipped her ale, noticing a change in his demeanor, was it curiosity she was picking up? She brushed it off, "My home is here, I was orphaned and struck out on my own, picked up a wrench and never looked back. I don't see myself leaving Malastare any time soon, and I'm content with that. I've never been happier, I have everything i ever wanted, and I never had to show my skin to anyone."
She chuckled, "That's neither here nor there, your business is your own, as my business is. But I did make you homeless, for that I do apologize, I rarely make mistakes. You can imagine I've been kicking myself. I'm glad I still have my freelance work, and that can pay even better than my day job. I'm just a mechanic, that's all I am, and I can't even begin to wrap my head around your life, but whatever it entailed, or entails, I am sure you have your reasons for keeping it a secret."

-Z'har True enough, but I like covering all the possibilities. Your word, if you will please.
Z'har debated for a moment, before deciding to drop a little info to see what else would come out.
-Z'har Anyway, you are more than just a mechanic. I have a good feel for people. I'm sure you will find out in time how much more you are. As for staying or leaving, the future is a strange place, you never know just what is around the next bend.

"You have my word," she nodded and smiled. She tilted her head up in thought as she held her ale. She set it back on the table and hopped over the back of the couch. She went to the kitchen and opened the fridge. She grabbed a second ale and a bottle opener, then headed back to the couch. She handed Z'har both the ale and the opener; and hopped back over with a plop.
"Can't let my guest go thirsty," She sighed and looked back to her game, "I'm not really a look at the clouds person, but I take oppertunities and moments of success to heart. It's what pays for this house, and allows me to do freelance work and make extra credits. I'm good at what I do and people take notice. I get return clients and people interested in pet projects. I let my work speak for me, and if something better comes along than what I am doing, then I'd be more than willing to take it. I lead a simple but rewarding life here. I don't feel claustrophobic because all you see here I earned myself. However my belief, is if one has a gift, an exceptional gift, they are obligated to use it to help those around them, and take it as far as it will carry them."

Popping the cap, Z'har began to sip from the drink. The alcohol wouldn't really have any effect on him, but it would still be a start on replacing the material needed to fix up his back. He also had a lot more respect for her after that last confession than before. After all, that same feeling was what had driven him from a more or less homeless beginning to running a small empire.
-Z'har True enough, Bella donna. Motivation is, I feel, what separates those that can from those than can't. Do you have anything interesting in your shop right now?

Her eyes lit up like the noonday sun and her lips curled into an eager smile. She turned off the game, just as threats from JuumaB00ma were rolling across ehr message feed. She set the controller down and hopped up from the couch. "Let's go see my garage, I've actually have quite a few projects that are finished and waiting for pick up. And some others that are just for recreation."

Z'har allowed her to lead him to the garage. He was rather impressed by the selection & quality of the numerous tools laying around.
-Z'har So, what all do you have here?

Her purple marks started to glow excitedly. She went over to the door leading into the garage and flipped on the light. She stepped in and waited for Z'har to enter. Inside she had three 105-k Lancers, painted and polished to specifications, one Seraph Flash Speeder, and two Daggerstars also fixed up, and ready for their buyers. She crossed her arms over her chest and smirked at him.
"I take pride in my work, generally I can fit up to nine speeder bikes in here, but if I am working on larger land speeders and swoops, I can fit about three bikes, and three land speeders. I can sell this lot for a good sum, people bring stuff for me to fix, or if there's some junk that's worth putting together and refurbishing it, I do that too. I can make a solid middle price on the retail, and used value of any of these vehicles. I have a few hundred thousand in the bank, so yeah I do well. Granted most of what I work on are speeders in my off time, but give me a tank or a walker and I can fix it up too. I'm hoping to work on my skills in armor crafting and weapon modifications as well. I'm a well kept secret of Malastare out here as far as mechanics are concerned. I work with pod racer celebrities too when they roll into town."

True enough Z'har's mechanical focus until recently had been focused on droids, with a fair bit more starship maintenance than he let on, however he could tell the work on these was of surprisingly good quality. He was almost physically aching to try out one of the Lancers. It had been ages since he had a chance to really cut loose & push a vehicle to its limits.
-Z'har It looks like good work, I have always believed you can tell a lot about someone by their work space.
Z'har takes a good hard look around the room, noting the placement of tool, the state of the work projects, how clean or messy the room was & any clutter.

"You blind as well as a robot? Just look at my bins, baskets, walls and my work benches. Everything is labeled and organized," She rolled her eyes with a chuckle and gestured to exactly what she spoke of with her hands. "I pride myself on my work sure, but my organization is better than your best droid. Prolly you too, clanker. Not quite convinced you're not a droid, or android, or cyborg. This is technically my private business, so yes, need to keep it clean for customers."

Z'har decided to ignore her rather antagonist description of her workshop. He certainly wasn't blind & had noted the layout of the shop already.
-Z'har It is a very nice workshop. I would prefer you not call me a droid or other such terms.

Her purple pattern, and her cheek turned a darker shade of purple. She was slightly embarrassed from her words but she nodded to him.
"Sorry, I'm passionate about my work, and my organization. I'm far better at keeping my tools organized than my house, things just kind of end up places. Tools are expensive even for someone like me. But this is my shop, and I plan on selling the lot, and finding more things to put together. All of these vehicles run like new, and sound like new. The lancers also fly as fast as they did during the clone wars. Except for the paint job, all the parts are original, and can be sold for a vintage collectable price. I have a buyer for a few of them, are you looking to buy as well? You look like you're drooling, oh and yes, the laser cannon on the seraph speeder, also works, it's also magnetized so if you wanted to, you could take it off, and attach it to something else."

Z'har traced his fingers lightly across one of the vintage bikes as he wandered around the shop looking at various tools & parts.
-Z'har They are very nice, but a little out of my price range for the moment. Doubly so due to my money being irradiated at the moment. Speaking of that, are there any local pubs or eateries around here. I will be able to pay you back once I get my stuff, but I am kind of hungry.

"There are a few pubs and hotels in town, where I am is one of the better locations for well established eateries. If you're looking for good meats and wines, try Sturn's, just a few blocks down. If you're looking for more of a pub setting, there's Sebulba's Fortune. Aptly named, many racers and bikers go there."
She took a rag and immediately rubbed off the prints he left behind on the bike. She did not seem the least bit irritated he touched the bike. She was rather appreciative that he was impressed with the bikes and the speeders and did not make mention anything lewd about her being a woman and knowing her way around tools. She was slightly interested that he stuck around as long has he had. She was not sure what was so interesting about her, she was just a Twi'lek trying to make a living. There wasn't much to her, she was a woman with tastes in machines and electronics.
