*Time seemed to slow for Ronin, the Rambo chick had her rifle trained on the sith and not him, curious. A soft tug on his pistol turned strong. So the sith wanted his pistol? Well he could have it. Being close range Ronin allowed the tug to shift the pistol forward enough for the trigger to be pulled sending a .48 caliber slug flying to the sith ' s center of mass. Almost in unison another large boom went off as a bullet flew past Ronin's head (to his right) at the hand of the sith and the sound of the Rambo chick spraying her rifle at close range to his left. Regaining his pistol Ronin squeezed off another round in quick succession. His left wrist blade was already extended and ready to defend himself.
It was chaos, the type the Sith would have a hard time keeping his own life*
"Well enemy of my enemy I guess" Ronin thought to himself

Kent was the closest to Val when she erupted. Untrained, and unprepared she took the full brunt of it. Se was hurled up into the ally wall. There was nothing she could do. Unconscious She bounced and fell into Val, they rolled around mixing the two up, and messing up both of their hair. In the proses, she kicks Val hard in the head. Limply Kent lays there. *Thing were escalating quickly. The girl that he had noticed before in the shadows near Valerie had gotten close, but at the wrong time. Clearly, she had taken a heavy hit from the explosion. His distance didn't help get a good look, not to mention the group of people in front of him. All he could tell was that Kent had blonde hair and that both girls seemed momentarily unconscious.*You're both awful at your jobs if your first focus isn't getting your target out of the alley. Tell you what, we'll get them somewhere safe, and if you're smart you'll and the Mando will help.Without waiting, she fired the blaster, moving as soon as the bolt landed. From outside the alley, another bolt followed it--only this one was huge. "Let's go Valerie. I'll watch over you. Grab your friend," He briefly motioned towards Kent, sensing her raw, untrained power, "I've got a ship at the spaceport, which isn't terribly far. We can make it."Andor had noticed the other woman enter the alley, but fortunately, the doctor stood between them, which gave the Grand Inquisitor the advantage.Hopefully by now, he had the Doctor's pistol in his hand from his Force Pull. If not, well... Good thing Andor was good at thinking on his feet. It was chaos, the type the Sith would have a hard time keeping his own life* "Well enemy of my enemy I guess" Ronin thought to himself "Evening, burc'yase. Name's Cuyan Ha'rangir and I've got a few questions for the girl, no one needs to get hurt." His T-visored helmet scanned over all assembled, and his finger moved the selective fire switch to automatic. He stood before all assembled. A fully armed and armored mandalorian warrior, beskar clad and bristling with lethality. It was obvious that, force users or no, he did not begin to fear anyone present. *Now four people had ended up in the alley with the girl as well. Clearly, they had all heard her and all seemed to want to help, but the nature of each of them clashed with the other, seeing each other as enemies. How would anyone keep her safe if they were to fight each other? The one hunting Valerie would easily be able to get her if chaos erupted here.*A woman and a hulking robot of some sort barreled past and his attention shifted back to the alley as the young woman who had sent the original distress call erupted in a violent burst of energy. He reacted quickly, more quickly than a human ought to be able to, and took hold of Karana's arm, pulling her clear of the alley entrance just in time to let the lessening wave of force pass by without incident. "Eyes open, girl. I can't protect you all the time."In one motion, simultaneous with Kol's own, Aajax reached back and snapped his shield to his arm, dove to the left (opposite of Kol and Malora), covering his body as much as he could behind the surface of the shield as the streets erupted with a ear-shattering bellow.Kriff, that hurt He thought to himself as he picked himself up from the ground. Expecting to see Kol and Malora rushing to finish him while he was prostrate. His eyes snapped to them, but saw only Kol speaking intently to Malora. He jumped up, Castellen ready over the top edge of the shield's curvature."What in the nine hells was that..." "The kid's on her own, there's no way I'd be able to help against all of that." She frowned at Kol, turning slightly away from Aajax. "Besides, I've gotta find Fel and Connors, I don't have time for this shit. I need those coordinates, Kol, and then I need to get gone. I've got a mad scientist and his army of mutants on my ass, and that's just the tip of that iceberg." She didn't have to be Force sensitive to feel the conflict in the alley reaching boiling point. Mal raked her hair away from her face and turned back towards Aajax a little. "At least the Empire isn't here. Yet. Although I bet my tits one of those alley stalkers is a Sith. One sniff of power like hers? It's like crack for them, they can't not swoop in and help corrupt." *He also sensed the presence of three others close by, easily within range to watch what was happening. He didn't know their intentions either, only that he had to be ready, whether to aid or defend. More were coming in quickly. It was getting difficult to keep track of everyone scattered around and still keep focus on the girl herself.
One thing that he knew though was that the one hunting her was an unknown. Was he a guard or bounty hunter? Was he a Force-sensitive? He had to assume the worse. In that case, the person hunting her was a powerful Force-user, which means they would have noticed the girl's power and now the growing presence of those around her. Even if he was powerful, he would be smart and call for help himself. Overall, there would be bloodshed in the streets. Everyone would be attempting to keep the girl safe, for protection or money, it didn't matter. With such a distraction and such a battle, he could take the girl virtually unnoticed, or have little resistance.
While not the worst scenario, it was up there. With each moment, things were getting hectic. He hoped that something would give and let some light shine through.*

Anven had been slowly walking down the street until he was across the street from the alley and there he leaned against a wall and watched what was going on since there seemed to have been a bit of a crowd gathering to see well at least three others. Things began to change quickly as he stood there watching, it wash't long before a girl and a robot come charging through everyone into the alley but right after that things seemed to go to hell. The girl he assumed let out a strong force blast or repose to send things flying everywhere though luckily he was far enough away to not be affected by it and then everyone was at each other's throats. It was a grand standoff that soon came to an end when one made a grab for the girl and then shots were being fired course by now any commoners who might had been casually walking by would have scattered leaving just those who found interest in the situation that being him who was leaning against a wall across the street hidden by his cloak, three others looking around the corner of the alley, the ones who had ran ion the alley and various others he could feel hiding in the shadows though where he knew not. Still Anven just observed as things began to heat up and continued to hide his presence in the force so no force users would notice his abilities as a force sensitive but he kept his awareness up as things just might get out of control fast.

Malora eyed Aajax, poised behind his shield (which was pretty damn cool, by the way, I mean, who still uses shields? You gotta be confident in your skills. Obviously, the guy was some kind of pro something), weapon out, surprise in his voice. It was faked, because not only had he reacted with the same kind of precise swiftness as Kol (who was anything but ordinary), but unless you lived under a rock or never left home, the chances of you not knowing what that was were slim. That, and she was pretty sure he'd arrived knowing what he was getting into, and 'crazy Force powers' were not something left off the bounty list. He seemed sharp, though. Probably had his reasons. She was curious, definitely. "The kid's on her own, there's no way I'd be able to help against all of that." She frowned at Kol, turning slightly away from Aajax. It's like crack for them, they can't not swoop in and help corrupt." Aajax's eyes darted back and forth between the pair in the alleyway before him, and the flurry of commotion in the alley across the street. He was still mentally calculating whether or not they were odds he could still beat when there was a flurry of activity across the way."Wait, did you say mutants?" Aajax interrupted, lowering his shield slightly and letting the muzzle of his weapon dip a little. At that exact moment, shots began to ring out. It would only be an idiot who couldn't hear and identify the sound of a slugthrower report echoing in the streets. Suddenly, Aajax realized that the streets were devoid of anyone who didn't have a clearly vested interest in the activities of this little bounty.Aajax, who had all but abandoned the hunt he had so impromptu accepted that he could have a stake in, now rushed to the right side of the same alleyway and placed himself out of any stray shots that may ricochet from the firefight that was no doubt ensuing from this moment on.Now, this action had place Aajax on the same side of the alley as Kol and Malora. But it was obvious that Aajax was no longer the agressor in this situation. More so it was equally obvious for anyone who had been paying attention to his actions to this point, Aajax could have just as easily taken shelter on his own side, or dipped out of the alleyway altogether. So it was clear that he wanted to be on the same side as the two he had met by pure chance this evening."Tell me of these mutants." Aajax hated mutants almost as much as he hated the rest of the Xeno scum which dotted the galaxy. He was especially abhorrent of mutations done to pure humans. Malora's next words or actions would determine just how long he would spend here on Nar Shadda chasing this now far-too-hot of a bounty.

continued from here... It had only been a couple of minutes, but kriff -- what a couple of minutes. Kay was now standing with his back to the abandoned bookie's called 'Aces Races,' across from the entranceway to the alley, trying not to be seen. Several beings, and a massive droid had raced past and into the alleyway across from his position, and there had been gunfire, and some sort of electricity (?) discharge coming from the alley only a few seconds before. He was about to cut his losses when two things happened. Anven Firestar wrote: "Anven had been slowly walking down the street until he was across the street from the alley..."
--a heavily muscled man came into view, and moved into a position to conceal himself from the action. Ironically, this was only a few feet from where Kay stood, stalk-still, also keeping out of harm's way. Then, against all odds, his fence showed up. A tall, thin Duro who couldn't have looked more out of place in the refugee sector, "Ned" (for so he had been told) looked like an accountant, and was walking timidly toward the rendezvous trying (and failing miserably) to keep a low profile. Low profile like bringing an E-Web to a sword fight. Kay mentally face-palmed and knew that he'd have to break cover in the next few seconds, or his crystals, and the payday they represented, were as good as gone.

Suddenly, in a blur of motion, a female slid into the alley, and began to charge at Andor. Andor retracted his extended hand in a flourish of motion, a blaster bolt hissing by just a millisecond later, crashing into the side of the brick building. With a twist of his arm, Andor's black lightsaber hilt fell into his right hand, the blade hissing forth as it fell.*
*Imbued by Force Speed (he redirected the energy from his pull at Ronin), Andor lashed out in an uppercut at the approaching woman's arm, which was extended to shove him, aiming to slice through her forearm, while stepping to his right to put her between himself and the doctor. At that moment, the Doctor fired, having aimed for Andor, he would now be shooting at Na'an's back had he followed through with the shot.*
*With Valerie's hand still in his other hand, he pulled her behind him, his voice spitting orders. "Run! Your emotions will protect you!" By that, he hoped the girl would understand to let her emotion guide her actions, which would ultimately lead her closer to the Dark Side.*
*His left, robotic hand remained free, close to his body has he readied himself for a defense.

Na'an barely managed to drop below the lightsaber before losing her arm, skidding to a crouch between the Sith and the doctor. "Shit," she hissed, "This guy's fast." She shot a glance at the men behind her. One, the doctor, already had a slugthrower out, while the Mando who'd been talking when she ran in looked to have enough weapons to stock a small military. If she made things clear to them, they could help get past the Sith and get this kid somewhere where she could breathe for a second.
"Leigh, cover the exit," she said sharply.
"Right." With a whirr, Leigh moved from the cover she had taken fire from and positioned herself to block the alley's only entrance. The droid's bulk looked larger in close quarters, clearly just a bit too large to be human. At the end of one arm, a pulse cannon glowed lightly--ready to fire at any moment, but temporarily at bay. The holographic face was gone, showing only a gleaming, impassive surface where a human head would be. "It is suggested," she said in artificially boosted tones, "That you stand down."
Na'an stood, holding her rifle in a ready position with one arm. Her other hand patted the bulge in her back pocket, shaking loose some dirt before raising palm up into view. "That's right, Darth Whoever-You-Are. You're fast, but not as fast as my friend there. So let's take a minute to clarify things for everyone."
The rifle was still pointed at Andor, but the woman's voice was calm. Na'an focused her gaze on the pale, shaking girl behind him, talking gently to her now rather than the Sith.
"Valerie, I know you're scared right now, but you have to stay calm and think. You're Force Sensitive. You can feel him the same as I can. And you know what danger feels like."
Her eye turned to the Sith again, and there was no hate or anger there--only a bright, steely determination. "Whether you decide you want to go with him or not, he'll still take you. And what he'll do is worse than anything that bounty hunter of yours is capable of. Take a moment and think about what kind of help you wanted...did it look like him?"

In the sudden rush of activity, Cuyan landed on a fire escape, his fuel exhausted. He scanned the crowd with his rifle, his rangefinder painting everyone in that alley. Mostly humans and near humans, one large droid. The black clad man had a lightsaber, it's ruby blade shining brilliantly in the twilight of the streets of Nar Shaddaa. He recalled that such weapons usually belonged to followers of the dark side.
Bah, witchcraft is witchcraft.
His helmets audio package enhanced the words the woman spoke. The girl was named Valerie, and there was no open bounty on her.
Cuyan never trusted a private contract.
Both her and the woman were force sensitive as well as the lightsaber armed man. The poor child, being argued over by sorceror's cults like a prize bantha. It made Cuyan's mandalorian blood boil.
"Or girl, you can come with me. I'll feed you, get you off world, and away from both jetii and siit. Take you anywhere you want to go. Both would use you as a pawn in their religious war. You don't want that, but I won't tell you what to do. You're nearly an adult. You want to be free, you come with me, you want to be a slave, go with them. Your choice. Haat Ijaa Haa'it"
he held his hand up in a gesture of oath taking, and pushed it to the iron heart of his armor. Hopefully she would glean his meaning.

Unexpectedly, Na'an snorted at the response. "See? That sounds a hell of a lot better, doesn't it?" she said, pointing a thumb back at the solder with a grin. "For all their faults, Mandalorians are more honest men than most Force users you'll ever meet."
She took a step forward, her left hand open again, her right finger on the trigger aimed at Andor. There was no point in moving any more quickly than that; a scared, untrained Force user was dangerously volatile. She had to be treated gently, or risk being lost.

*Things were getting complicated quickly. If things continued, and the girl caught on, they would only be witness to another burst of energy. With so many people, he didn't want to have to get directly involved. He wasn't sure who was thinking what or why, but time was not a luxury.
However, he wasn't about to walk into the middle of everyone with weapons drawn. It had been some time since he had used an illusionary abilities, but now was the best time. Dropping to a knee, he focused on the ones around the girl. He doubted any were weak-minded, luckily they didn't have to be.
As the group continued on their standoff, the illusion of Gavin began to appear walking towards them. His trenchcoat rustled behind him, his sabers and knives could be seen as well as the large sword over his back. It casually strolled up to them with its hands in its pockets. Had they fired on him, they would have quickly seen it as an illusion as all would pass through it.*
"Well, this has become quite a problematic situation."

Malora fixed her gaze on Aajax, who'd joined them on their side of the alley. Maybe she shouldn't have said anything, but Kol knew all about her situation and she'd needed him to understand her urgency. Aajax didn't seem hostile, for the moment, and his curiosity didn't worry her too much. You couldn't hear the words 'mutant army' and not be a little curious. Not that spreading around knowledge about Galen and his science experiments was the best idea to begin with, but she'd stupidly spoken without a filter for five seconds and now she had to follow the thread to the end, because she didn't think a simple brush-off was gonna work with this guy. "They're called Jekk. All kinds of sentients and critters taken and twisted by Sith alchemy. My old boss was trying to find a way to create the perfect soldier, and if you think a controlled hive-mind of vicious creatures is perfect, well, he succeeded." She paused, casting a glance at Kol as more sounds of violence erupted from the alley beyond. This was fast turning into someplace she had no desire to be. "They're bad news, and they've been dogging me for years on Galen's command." Mal pulled on a lopsided smile. "Don't blame him for being worried. I took all his research and ran. Wouldn't want that shit floating around in the open either. Haven't seen a Jekk in about a month. Probably a bad thing. ANYWAY. Nothing you need to worry about, mister....whatever your name is." Okay, time to shut up, Malora. Let's not give away all our candy for free... She shifted a little, coming to stand between Kol and Aajax.

It was unknown to the Sith Lord how this woman managed to duck beneath his lightsaber when it was coming from below, but no matter. He didn't follow through with his attack. He froze, his lightsaber pointed at the woman's chest, the barrel of her rifle just a foot away from his own chest. A stale mate of sorts. Andor's mind was continuously open to the force, preparing a defense should she decide to pull the trigger.
There were four combatants in the alley, and more on the way. Andor silently hoped that a Sith or two were among them.
"How about this," He started. "Let's allow Valerie to decide. She was the one who called for help after all.
A small hiss coming from his robotic hand caused him to look down. His pinky was missing, exposed wires sparking as his hand flexed. It seemed that the Doctor's first shot had made a hit after all. Sneaky little guy.
"How about we all lower our weapons and talk this out. Valerie asked for help. When I got here, the Doctor was here. I assumed he was the threat. If he is not, ,maybe we should figure out who is."
Then he heard a voice from behind him as another male entered the alley (Gavin). Andor's mind reached out to feel the presence, unaware of the illusion. The presence felt off and unease began to settle in Andor's mind. But he stayed there, his attention mainly on Na'an.*
*He waited.

Jorek opened his eyes and blinked at the light. He continued to blink his eyelids tightly for a few moments and sucked in a calming breath. He needed to control the waves of pleasure that were coursing through his body now that the illicit spice was starting to find its way into his system. The addict could feel the withdrawal start to leave him. His hands no longer shook and his shoulders relaxed. It felt good after almost a month of being off the stuff. Jorek shook his head. Now wasn't the time for succumbing to his weakness. He was no common back alley drug user. The carsunum was a tool that he used to focus his mind, body, and regain control over himself. He used it to save lives, and someone's life was in danger now. Many people's lives he guessed. Jorek blinked again and curled his hands into fists. The carsunum did not control him, he controlled it. He needed it now. His pupils expanded slightly to allow more light in, and everything seemed to focus just a little better than normal. This was what he needed; the mental focus and physical boost that he got when on the drug. It allowed him to stop being the pathetic, clumsy, person he was on the ground, and it allowed him the ability to shoot down ace pilots in the Empire. This was what he did. Granted he was not in a starfighter right now, and his battle was far from space. But what was he to do? He couldn't just let bounty hunters and sith lords kill those girls they had surrounded.Jorek craned his neck around the alley just as the bullets started to fly and arguments formed. Everyone seemed to be after Valerie, probably the one with the red lightsaber had a hold of. Jorek grinded his teeth and drew his standard issue blaster pistol at the sight of that. A sith was not good news for him.. get them in the vacuum of space and you could shoot them down like any man, but on the ground.. he was a dead man if he shot at him. Jorek spoke to his little droid buddy, never taking his eyes off the alley.Sockie, prepare a report for the Republic and send it as soon as you are able. There's obviously no way that they can make it here in time to sort out this mess, but they should know that Sith are kidnapping on Nar Shaddaa. Make sure it is sent as well.. if I don't make it out of that alley then someone has to tell our superiors. You should get away from here as well little buddy.Dwoooooooo....Jorek ignored him, not wanting to make things worse. He had to be realistic however. There were Sith, what looked to be a Jedi, professional killers, and large doids with large guns in there. Jorek was a pilot who was seen as a joke with his feet on the ground. This could not end well. He readied his pistol, drew out his badge..."How about we all lower our weapons and talk this out. Valerie asked for help. When I got here, the Doctor was here. I assumed he was the threat. If he is not, ,maybe we should figure out who is."] ...and entered the alley way. Pistol barrel shuffling between targets. Jorek had some moderate training with fire arms. Every pilot did, just in case they crash landed in enemy territory and survived. He really hoped a lightsaber or hail of blaster bolts would come his way, and covered himself as best he could with debris. He was behind the doctor, and the woman with her droid, but his pistol was spending most of his time pointed at the sith. At least he knew that was an enemy for sure. There's an idea sith. Sure, the young lady could go with you. Or any of these other... "professionals" hanging around. Or.. or we could all just agree that she would be safest with a soldier of the Republic. Someone who can provide her with security and somewhere to stay until we can bring her home. Now doesn't that sound nice? The soldier bit was basically a lie.. but sounded a lot more threatening that "pilot." So he ran with it. His carsunum fuelled brain and body were tense. Maybe his bluff would work, maybe the girl would recognize the authority of the Republic and understand that it was peaceful and was made to protect everyone, including her. He was ready to duck, cover, and possibly scream.. if people decided he would look prettier with a lightsaber, blaster bolt, or bullet in his chest or face........

Anven continued to lean against the wall as he watched as events in the alley got all the more tense with everyone going from fighting to now arguing about who the girl should go with again. It was all quite entertaining as more and more tried to convince the girl to go with them and at this rate Anven thought she was going to have another mental break down with so many people trying to convince her to go with them.
He had at first thought about intervening when the fighting had started but before he could someone else was already doing so and once again conversation started it seemed unlikely that this situation was going to be resolved anytime soon. It seemed he just might get to have some fun after all and so he began to size up his potential adversaries, there fist off was the man with the red lightsaber and crimson robes whom Anven swore he knew from somewhere then there was the merry little gathering around a man as far as he could tell that was equipped with a pistol, the girl who had charged into the alley with rifle in hand and a droid for backup, a mandalorian which would be a huge problem for he seemed fully armoured and armed. These seemed like the biggest problematic figures at the moment though the newly arrived Republic Solider was not one to be dismissed and neither were the others gathered near the entrance of the alley.
Anven was working through all that he took in through the force and with his eyes trying to be sure not to miss a single detail even though for now it seemed the droid blocked his way into the alley and so he may have to wait things out for a bit longer. With a sigh Anven shifted his weight from one foot to the other and crossed his arms likely now showing that he was wearing his crimson Jensaarai armour beneath the old cloak. He then looked one way then the other to see if anyone else was coming to join the party though all he saw was a man who was standing just a few feet away from him and was being approached by a Duro. If the man was looking Anven's way when he noticed him Anven would just give a short nod in a kind of greeting to the other man and then would go back to watching the others in the alley.

The coming fight would be the perfect diversion. This is why you keep to your self, Kent thought as her head pounded. Gut feeling like this girl will get you killed. Either way she was here now, and she might as well save this girl form all of these people. Her knowledge of the city gave Kent all the edge she would need to get her and Val someplace safe. Even the shapes on the building couldn't catch them.

Ambuscade knelt on a rooftop overlooking the alley, his eyes narrowed, surveying the scene. His target was right there, behind a man in a cloak and red robes, with a red lightsaber in hand. He seemed to be protecting her, in a standoff against a few other parties. There was a man identifying himself as a soldier of the Republic, but he doubted that. The man didn't carry himself like a soldier. There was another man approaching from another winding entrance, all trenchcoat and knives and sabers. He seemed a bit too calm.. A small girl, not physically dissimilar from his target, was trying to get her attention.. There was also a man standing there with a slugthrower, a woman with an eyepatch and a repeater, a hulking armoured droid, and a fully armoured Mandalorian (presumably Harangir), all staring down the Sith. It seemed they were giving his target a choice as to who she would pick as her rescuer.
He smiled. They were all obviously at odds. At least one party would be disappointed with the result, no matter who she chose, and that was sure to split the scene into chaos. There would be contention, and he could use that to his advantage. He was a bit disappointed that no one had actually decided to take him up on his offer, at least not that he could see. He was all alone against what should have been a united force, but he counted himself lucky at the very least that they were quite far from united.
Oh well. More credits for him.
================
They were giving her a choice. She was still scared, she was hurt from the minor tussle with the tossed-about Kent, and oh did she mention that she was scared? The eyepatch lady was telling her that the man she was behind would do horrible things to her, and the armoured man who had just shown up was offering to take her away as well. There were so many people trying to tell her what to do, and the cloaked man was telling her that she needed to let her emotions protect her.
That struck a chord with her. Her parents, though they were almost never around, had coached her a little bit in utilizing her powers. They had cautioned self-control when in public, but when she was on her own, they encouraged her to let her mind wander, to let her emotions guide her actions, to let her powers grow.. whatever the means. She had found that her emotions had always brought out the most power..
Eyepatch lady was right. She was Force-sensitive. She could feel the man in front of her. And she knew that he had offered her safety. She knew that not a single blaster bolt had come in her direction from him. As far as she could see, he was the only one actively protecting her, and everyone else was attacking him for it. But what was even more important was the fact that she could sense his power. And she knew that if he could teach her to be that way, then he was right..
He would be bringing her safety. He would be making sure that no one would be able to hurt her, ever again.
So, she reached up, grabbed the red-lightsaber-wielding man's cloak, and held on tight.
They had asked for her choice? Well..
She had made it.
================
He smiled. The best case scenario had taken place, and she had sided with the one who everyone seemed to be rallying against. It was everything he had hoped for. If they tried to take her against her will, a fight would break out, and she could be easily picked off. And if they let her leave.. Then she would just have one friend, who didn't know what he was capable of. He could even try to rally the others against her choice, to force them to attack the Sith, and that would loop back around to making it easier to pick off his target. Hopefully, others behind his cause would appear soon. If not.. He was going to have to try his luck with manipulative diplomacy.
And if anything else, he still had a concussion grenade in his hand, waiting to toss in the midst of the crowd below.

*Well, the choice had been made. She chose the Sith. It didn't bother him. All he cared about was getting the girl safe. He progressed through the group to Andor and stopped beside him. If she chose him, he was the one he'd talk to. He dropped his voice as he spoke to Andor.*
"I'll be watching your back from the shadows. She might be safe in your company, but it means nothing as long as she's being hunted. And none of us know anything about this person. Keep your guard up."

For a second, Leigh contemplated the possibility that Na'an would snap. It wouldn't have been the first time--in the early years, she'd had little control over her temper when side trips like this went wrong. There had been...incidents...and then always the property damage payments afterwards.
Instead, to Leigh's immense relief, Na'an only sighed. She lowered the rifle and cocked her ear upward, still listening, and shook her head with resignation.
"I said you could choose. And you did. But oh, honey," She said wistfully. "You don't know anything about the Sith way, do you."
She stepped lightly backwards, bouncing on the balls of her feet as she went. "If that man wanted to protect you, he would have been listening through the Force this whole time for more than just you." Na'an bounced once, twice, thrice, the same way she would before a spar. Leigh watched her intently, not powering down the cannon, still on alert. Her friend continued speaking, accentuating her words with three steps that brought her in line with the doctor.
"And he would have done...something...like this." And suddenly Na'an wasn't looking at the Sith anymore. Her eye had swung upwards, locking sharply on the space right above her head. Leigh followed her gaze, and saw an unnatural glint of metal as soon as she did.
"I see him!" Leigh swung the cannon up, aiming at the rooftops and firing a volley at the bounty hunter waiting above. Na'an's arm swung the rifle up into the ready position, and rolled left towards the alley wall to avoid debris from the resulting explosion.

Recovered, now Kent takes a quick account of the situation. Her mind takes it all in. There was a new threat. Something sinister, and clearly the woman and the machine knew it too. There were already to many variables here, another one was not needed. As the woman and the droid fired raining down debris on them, Kent rolled like a gymnast out of the way. Her head began rolling through the options to cut off this new threat, she went through everything in the area, she knew it well. The old fire escape, that would work nicely. If she shot the right point enough times it would fall and effectively put a roof over this little group. She quickly did the trigonometry and fount the right place to shoot. She didn't need to see it through the explosions. She knew the ally perfectly. In a quick burst she fired all 6 shots form her blaster into the area, through the debris. There was an audible explosion when they hit the rusty metal, then nothing for a second.
