Jair froze as soon as the woman stopped, and spoke. Could this actually happen? Could this be... possible? Jair knew this was no Jedi's task, but the thought of Aria being stuck in Chaos was unbearable for him. And now, this woman clearly stated that she knew a way. A way for him to find Aria. A way for him to save her. Was this too good to be true? He didn't hesitate for one moment, yet his voice did quiver considerably under the emotional strain of everything that had transpired, and what he was just told.
"You... you actually... have... a way... that I can go to her?"
The Jedi exhaled slowly, trying to quell the crazy emotions stirring within him. He trembled.
"Show me... please..."

...And as such, she put aside the matter, nodded once, and followed behind him, her weapons and tools in hands. She would need all of her wits, and what little knowledge of both the Force and her collective experiences, to survive was came next.
They were well into the warehouse when what could be nothing other than the expected Sith that had been kidnapping all the Younglings made herself known. She spoke with taunting words, playing words, savouring an easy meal, so to speak. If she had been alone, Red was certain she would die. But with Rawkill, she didn't have confidence, but she had...faith. That things would work out. Perhaps it was foolish optimism, or just desperation, but the crimson-skinned girl was wary, and ready to act. She wondered idly if the woman really was alone, or if she had an army, or worse, a Sith Acolyte of her own. She wasn't sure of her odds if the latter was true. Bean, her jetpack translator droid, was watching and recording everything, but in his own state of panic, kept quiet. Rawkill made no move for his lightsabers just yet. Although the Sith had her weapon in hand, the red skinned twi’lek had yet to activate the blade. He was fairly sure things were about to go south very quickly. But perhaps they might be able to avoid too dangerous of a confrontation. Stranger things had happened after allWe were just stretching our legs when we strolled into a dark neighbourhood... Now, if you’d be so kind as to come in without a fuss, it would be much appreciated... Azshara shook her head in disappointment as the Jedi Master asked her to give up before the fight had even begun. The Jedi were a bunch of fools that always thought a Sith might surrender. But that was not their way, especially when the odds were so clearly stacked in her favour. The Jedi would soon find out what she had been up to with the padawans that she had broken. But for now, she would continue to taunt them, to see just how far she could push them and whether they would strike first or notAwww... But Master Jedi, I haven't even started... Not with you anyway. I spent so much time with all those padawans, it seems only fair we get to play together... Maybe you'll survive where some of them sadly did not... Tell me child, did you know any of them? Perhaps your boyfriend was amongst them? or maybe a girlfriend? Oh, I don't judge, we all have urges and desires. Something the Jedi fail to understand...

Keeping her chin lowered, Mariah’s figure turned. Her face was shrouded, her stance was relaxed, her aura was calm. Suddenly so, that it should have been a dangerous clue. As she outstretched the Force to snake around the Jedi’s mind, though, she could feel his struggle to quiet the emotional flurry of this new information. Mariah judged his desperate eagerness would shroud the eeriness of her unforeseen willingness to aid him.
However, how does one plunge the soul of a light-sider into the bowels of Chaos? A puzzle for some, but Mariah needn’t any time to consider her options. There was a clear path; however, something about that path caused the woman to hesitate. There was a beat too long, silence filling between the two -- or rather an unspoken moment as the loud, bustling city continued onwards as though it was but another typical night. In that beat, though, her hesitance dissipated.“Then we must depart for the place that she called home for all of those wasted years,” she said, the sharpness in her choice of words contrasted by her dulled, stoic tones. “There is an artefact she left behind that I must retrieve, and you will help me retrieve it, Jedi.” She held her stance still for but a moment, ensuring the Jedi could fully process her instructions, before she took longer strides away from the Jedi. Yet again, she didn't turn to look back, but there was a sense of confidence that he would now follow her every move, always staying just a few feet behind. With a clear path and a destination now set and locked in her mind, she carved her way through the streets and towards the local hangar bay.

Jair nodded, without hesitation. Artifacts were something he had experience with, after all. And by this time Jair was very familiar with Felucia. He remembered his days of constantly being on the move between Coruscant, Zeltros, and Felucia... a wave of longing for those simpler times swept through him momentarily. As soon as he ended up moving permanently to Felucia, the whole team of Jedi there seemed to face trial after trial. But it was a moment of relative peace for them now. At least it was for the majority of those at the base.
“That’s good. I know the place well, so I should be able to help. Are we to use your ship? My A-Wing only has a single seat...”
Jair paused for a moment, looking to the shrouded face of the woman standing before him.
“Thank you... so much...”
The Jedi couldn’t describe how important this was to him, and his thanks could not have been more sincere. He was, of course, completely oblivious to any nefarious intentions the woman might have at this time.

[ Serenity Sage A.K.A. Red | Warehouse | New Vertica | Nar Shaddaa ] Attn: @alvius & @rawkillRed observed the woman with her head tilted to one side, as if studying an odd subject. Her guard was up, and she kept her thoughts, feelings and worries behind a mental shield of fire. It was a little trick she'd learned from another student at the base. Her face a placid mask now, she listened to the woman, who seemed to be trying to bait her or the Ewok into reacting. The woman had done something to the Padawans and Younglings, that much was without a doubt, but the danger was to give in to emotions here, not that it was bad to have them, but Red was so inexperienced, and Rawkill had his limits too, the girl was certain. They could ill-afford to falter or fail.“They are friends,” said Red quietly, answering the woman evenly when spoken to, “please return them to us, and the bodies too. They are all people, not playthings.”She sounded like she was gently rebuking a child, and Red realized how she sounded only after she'd spoken, but she nevertheless held her ground.

He was, of course, completely oblivious to any nefarious intentions the woman might have at this time. By the time Jair offered his thanks, Mariah had led the two into one of the local hangar bays. She didn’t acknowledge anything that the Jedi said and only continued her path towards her ship. The sight of it would offer enough of an answer to his earlier question. While it was clearly a beaten and old, the light freighter revealed that it would offer plenty of room for the two on their mission.Mariah lowered the ramp and continued upward and onward into the ship. It wasn’t until she was on the ship and out of the public eye, however, when she lowered the hood of her cloak. Crimson hair spilled from the blackened hood, covering her shoulders with it’s bloody hue. With her face now revealed, though, Jair could see that she carried a striking resemblance to Aria. The one difference in their features: where brown hair and brown eyes might lie, crimson was found instead. The Shadows traits ran strong through this family, and it might've been enough to cause him the stop in his tracks. Still, she marched onward, passing through only a handful of rooms and corridors before leading the two onto the bridge.“When we enter Felucia’s orbit, announce yourself and state your credentials,” Mariah commanded over her shoulder towards the Jedi as she took a seat in the pilot’s chair. “The smoother the land, the better.” It was an assumed invitation that Jair would take a seat within the copilot’s chair. Whether or not he took this invitation, though, was up to him. Regardless, her red eyes glanced over the controls as she raised the ramp, sealing Jair’s decision to embark on this journey with a metal clank.

Jair followed her to her ship. As soon as he saw the ship, he knew space would not even be an issue. He really should invest in a freighter sometime. Flying around in a fighter constantly wasn’t the most practical thing, although his A-wing was very quick.he followed her inside, and then, she revealed her face for the first time. Just as she suspected, Jair stopped in his tracks. His heart skipped a beat. It was almost like seeing a ghost. This woman looked so much like Aria. A wave of melancholic longing gnawed at him, but then he was torn away from his wandering thoughts as the woman called out instructions to him. He shook his head to himself, trying to regain what small semblance of composure and normalcy he had within him.“Y-yeah... that should be easy enough...” He replied with a distant look in his eyes as he approached and took seat in the copilot chair.“I’m sorry, I just wasn’t expecting... You remind...” Jair stopped mid-sentence. Probably not the best thing to bring up the uncanny resemblance right now. For either of them. They were both grieving in their own ways. Besides, it would prove beneficial to focus on the task at hand. Jair let out a deep sigh.“Right... Felucia.” *This post and the post below by Mariah Shadows are continued here: boards.jedivsith.com/thread/369/felucias-open-orbit?page=14

Besides, it would prove beneficial to focus on the task at hand. Jair let out a deep sigh.“Right... Felucia.” With a thoughtful purse of her lips, Mariah glided her hands effortlessly over the controls. However, there was a disdainful expression she wore, and one she didn’t even attempt to hide. Typically, she seemed to ignore the Jedi’s words, but at this moment, it was a bit more difficult than to shrug off his words as nothing more than stammered yammering.
“You’ll see her soon enough, Jedi.” While it might have appeared as a lazy attempt for comfort, there was too much maliciousness laced within her tones. Aria was in Chaos, and still, this Jedi was foolish enough to pursue her. Mariah’s eyes narrowed at that thought, a dry, joyless upwards twitch of her lips flickering and fading. If he wanted to join her so terribly, he would get his wish... With those few controls set into motion, the ship responded, attempting to start up and only echoing rough stalling noises before grinding to halt. Mariah growled through clenched teeth as she turned and flipped a few switches off to the side. Finally, the next round of grinding turned into the smooth whirring noise of the engine, heralding the movement of their mission. With that, Mariah guided her craft into Nar Shaddaa’s atmosphere and continued their ascent into the Smuggler’s Moon’s orbit.

As the shuttle landed, depositing the pair of travelers into the city proper Patrick can't help but nearly gag on the pollution in the Air. Oradin City had been bad, but nothing to this level. He almost wished for his TIE helmet and re-breather as he started to feel like he was loosing months of his life with every breath in and out. Turning to his companion with an only slightly forced smile he speaks up. Remind me not to follow strange women around anymore, it seems to just lead to lung cancer. With a laugh that makes it sound like he was only half joking he continues, gesturing to the cityscape before them. So where is this fine place you promised to take me? Full of rich opportunities and such I believe? Laughing again he knows he's going somewhere unsavory but at least there really was the potential for a payout. That is of course assuming this whole thing wasn't some elaborate ruse, which he still hadn't completely discounted.

The air was thick, each breath felt like she was suffocating, but it was something she had become used to after all these years. Also it wasn’t nearly as bad as when she had to breathe it wearing a restricting slave collar too. Her hand unconsciously went to her neck as the thought flashed through her mind only to be wiped away by Patrick’s comment and her usual teasing smile returning to her lips. “Don’t worry sugar, it won’t be the air that kills you if you spend too long here.” Her grin widened showing off her sharp canine teeth, “Trust me.”
Taking his arm in hers, she walked along the street as if strolling with her lover, the smile had turned dreamy and she knew that they were attracting looks. This wasn’t the type of place you strolled, this was the type of place where people scurried in and out of shadows. The sun had faded completely here and the sky was pitch black above them, but the walkways were lit with fierce neon lights and speeders and ships roared around them. The whole city was alive with violence and fear, but Auri refused to cower from it, this was her home and she would savour the feel of it with each desperate breath.
She guided Patrick to a building, the front was rented out as a cantina with its low blue lighting making it hard to see the occupants as they huddled in booths keeping their drinks close and there eyes to themselves. However Auri had no interest in the bar here, instead she knocked on a wide shuttered door to the side, waiting a few moments as the security systems would identify her. It opened slowly, revealing two gamorreans stood inside, their tiny eyes peering at Patrick curiously. “He’s with me, don’t worry I’ll vouch for him.”
A voice drifted down the corridor behind, “He better behave Auri, you are in enough trouble as it is.” The voice revealed itself as the Twi’lek that had appeared on the hologram earlier, and Auri cast a glance at Patrick, rolling her eyes before turning to answer him,
“As if the Master is ever upset with me, I’m sure he’ll be delighted I’m here to see him.” Walking down the corridor towards the Twi’lek, she beckoned Patrick to follow her. “Patrick this is Rordon, Rordon: Patrick. He’s a pilot and pretty good at helping to keep me alive so I’m sure that he will be welcomed. He’s looking for work at the moment."
“Patrick,” Rordan’s tone was not pleasant, but his Basic was perfect, “We might have work for you, it’s possible that Auri may actually need a pilot for her assignment, it’s not her usual work but she’s been failing at that so she might as well have attempt to fail at this too.” He smirked, his pale lips stretching over his sharp teeth.
“One job! It was one job that went wrong!” Her growl turned into a full snarl at Rordan before she turned on her heel and stormed through the door in front of her, exiting the corridor into a wide room filled with people. If the cantina at the front had seemed dark and seedy this bar could not have been more different.
Everywhere there were aliens of all species laughing and drinking, fast music played throughout and the dancefloor was filled with people having fun and a few others that had no choice but to dance. Overlooking the floor was an ornate dias, filled with mostly female aliens and one large hutt laughing and enjoying the company. Auri stopped and waited for Patrick to catch up, her breathing steadying a little from the full strop that she had just had, but her mood was not as happy as anyone currently in the bar. “Welcome to the best nightclub this side of Coruscant. Don’t let them rip you off at the bar though, they’ll try it on.” She pointed to the hutt in front of them. “And that there is my master, Kojja. Don’t upset him, he has eaten a pilot before.”

Only friends eh? I find that hard to believe... Azshara shot the red skinned Jedi girl a nasty look then. These Jedi really were full of themselves, thinking they could boss her around like she was a child. The last people that had tried to do that, she had killed when she was barely 16 years of age. The universe was a cruel place, either you were someone's plaything or you were strong enough to make others your plaything Or perhaps not... The mouth on you girl... Perhaps you have fallen for the Jedi dogma... Her gaze turned to the Ewok then, watching him draw his lightsabers. She shook her finger at him then, admonishing him for his actions Life's not easy, nor am I darling... Now you'll get to see first hand what I did to those... playthings.... Azshara drew a pair of curved hilt lightsabers, activating the twin red blades as her minions high in the catwalks appeared and drew blaster rifles. Pointing them down at the pair of Jedi I appear to have you outgunned... your move...

“I am aware of the difficulties of life, milady,” said Red, drawing breath and embracing the Force around her, opening herself up to the Light in a way she never tried to before, “I was raised almost by myself as a baby on Raxxus Prime, then I came here when I was a toddler, until only recently, did I learn about the Jedi way.”
She could feel life, Light and Dark, all around her. Everyone had a bright soul, even the corrupt ones, but she could see them all clearly. She could see the men and women above her. She could see the bare restraint that Rawkill exercised on himself, and she could see the flame within herself. As she spoke she put her lightsaber away and drew out her massive power wrench. Tendrils of the Force reached out towards the Catwalks from herself as she began to weave flows and energy around every nut and bolt. She sought to loosen the holds on the platforms, and it took supreme effort to perform, but she would not be able to take the gunners down so quickly. She still needed to use a console...like the one to the side on the first floor. The control systems were there, and she recognized the type.
“I have met your kind, before,” said Red, keeping her gaze on the Sith, “you believe in hurting others because you were hurt too, but instead of embracing an inner calm, you sought vengeance. You sought to inflict more pain. Now you intimidate and threaten us with numbers and firepower. Think what you will, we are Jedi, and if I have learned anything from the Jedi, it is we need not fear even death.”
That said, she called on what little of the Force she could master and threw her wrench all the way to the controls on the first floor. The tool struck the console, and the catwalks above, the nuts, bolts and beams supporting them buckled and shook, destabilizing and keeping everyone on it busy trying to maintain their own balance.
That was her move, and she hoped the Ewok found this agreeable. She wasn't sure if she had been overstepping here. More over this was her limit. She was out of tricks if the Sith had anymore. From here on, it would be Red the Mechanic to fix the rest of the problems.

Rawkill grew ever more world weary with every encounter with a Sith. He didn't like to admit it, but sometimes it was hard to keep faith in the Jedi ideals. Not everyone could be saved, sometimes the darkness had corrupted their soul beyond redemption. This Sith was another one of those that had tipped too far off the end. It gave him no pleasure to fight her, just hope that in death, she might find the peace she was incapable of finding in life.
He paused for a moment as he felt Red reaching out with the Force, his senses feeling where her concentration was going. He might have cautioned her against such use of power, but now was not the time for such training. Besides, it would work perfectly as a distraction for Rawkill's own little surprise It's time to bring the hammer down then! Rawkill ignited his green and blue lightsabers as several skylights in the roof and along the walls of the warehouse shattered open. Glass went flying as Alliance Soldiers rappelled in through the makeshift entry ways. They came in hot and were firing on the gang members up in the catwalks. Meanwhile, more soldiers breached the doors at ground level and started working their way through the warehouse to find the captured Jedi Padawans and Younglings.
Without any further word, he pushed forward. Drawing upon the Force to enhance and assist his movements as he dashed forward and darted to the right to strike at the Sith's left flank

The men in the catwalks started to scramble for safety as the ground beneath them started to shake and fall apart. Several sections of paneling disconnected from behind, causing the men to tumble backwards and down to the ground below. Others were slightly more fortunate enough to make it to areas that had not been targeted, or that were anchored into the structure. But their safety was short lived, as a few moments later, the Alliance Troopers breached the building.
They were not allowed a moments of respite as they started returning fire, even if it was clear the soldiers were more heavily protected. The gangsters down below retreated down several staircases, into the labyrinth of corridors below the warehouse.
Azshara shook her head as her men were scattered in all directions. While the Jedi might think they had disengaged her trap with their own, they would soon find out how wrong they were. But her attention quickly shifted from the plans she had laid, to the fight that was at hand. She remained still as the Ewok Jedi Master charged at her. She brought her left blade down, parrying the Jedi's dual strike. Quickly following up with an uppercut strike from her right lightsaber

Even with her body, mind and spirit so drained by her efforts, Red could sense imminent danger, or at the least see it. Rawkill had summoned the help that he'd brought along on the ship, and they now invaded the Sith stronghold. The Ewok was lunging towards the Sith Lady, and as much as she wanted to stay and help in the fight, she realized the futility of her contributions in that regard, and so retrieved her power wrench and activated her jetpack, following her intuition. She was steered towards a door, ducking a pair of allied soldiers, who were giving chase after a ruffian.
Even this far in, the fighting was already in earnest, and several times, the tiny girl's progress was hindered with having to hide from combatants as they ran to or from battle. She found it difficult to even draw on the Force or to sense the presence of it around her, making her realize just how much she'd drained herself with her little feat. Reactivating her jetpack droid, Bean, she said, “Bean, use your onboard sensors, I need to know where you can feel the most life signs.”
With a caution to keep his voice low, the droid helped guide her through a network of passages, deeper into the hold, and she soon felt her instincts guide her to a specific door, which naturally was locked and sealed up more securely than even the Forbidden Holocrons Chamber on Felucia. Fortunately, she knew a thing or two about slicing and hotwiring circuitry. She heard a muffled voice within, and she risked calling out, “I am Serenity Sage. Are you the Younglings and Padawans from Felucia?”

Rawkill felt his blade come to a stop as the Sith parried his attack, flipping in the air toward his right then to dodge the uppercut strike. The tip of the blade brushing against his robes. Using the momentum, he brought his right blade up and around as spun in mid air. Coming to a landing just behind/to the left of Azshara. His blades slicing through the air as he spun them into a defensive position I will ensure that you pay for your crimes Sith... By the will of the Force, this day will be your last...

The fighting was everywhere, with more Alliance Soldiers streaming in to outnumber and overpower the rabble of Gangsters that Azshara had assembled. But while they were not trained soldiers, none of them went down without a fight. Something which had made Serenity's traversal to the lower levels all the more dangerous.
The Padawans and Younglings were all held in cages throughout the complex. One group of which was behind the door that Serenity now stood before. Sensing the presence of another Force User, then turned leant against the bars of their cages HELP US!! PLEASE!! LET US OUT!!!
Azshara took a step back, the Jedi's own counter-strike barely grazing her front. The blades falling short as she moved out of his way and the Jedi kept his momentum forward. She re-engaged her stance and held her blades aloft, as the Jedi took on a more defensive stance You Jedi never give up, do you? You think, what, that you're going to save all these children and solve some great criminal problem by striking me down? Pathetic! I might die this day, but another will rise in my place... and my Master's plan will continue on... So come Jedi, show me what you can do! Azshara rushed forward to engage the Jedi, her blades twirling into action to meet his

There was something to be said about the bond between the master and a Padawan. Though they only spent a short time together, there was something more to the raising of her status from Apprentice to an actual Padawan, despite her lack of deeper training. Red could feel, even with her exhaustion in the Force, Rawkill's conflict with the Sith. And though she couldn't channel even a sliver of the Force at the moment, her instincts warned her of dangers all around. Barely leaping out of the way of a blaster bolt, the crimson-skinned girl turned to look at a thug who blindly rushed her, seeing a small, frail youngster, and believing she was no match for him in any way.
She clumsily ducked another wild shot, and barely got her wrench out, clocking him hard enough to knock him unconscious.
“Stand back,” she said to the captives behind the door as she ignited her lightsaber, “I'm going to cut the door open.”
Taking a moment to regard the door and its structure, she found cutting it by its hinges was the fastest and easiest way to get the door open without making a mess or carving a hole through it. “Is anyone named Salen among you?” asked Red, looking for Meeri's brother, and hopeful that he was unharmed. She was worried that her friend would not take it well if Salen was scarred of deeply traumatized...well, there wasn't much hope of avoiding that, if the Sith's claims were anything to go by.

Then we shall strike down whoever replaces you! Instead of waiting for her attack, Rawkill rushed forward as well. As they met halfway, he jumped into the air with the help of the Force. Their blade clashing in mid air, parrying one another's strikes. He spun around to the side, seeking to take her by surprise. But where he thought he might find an opening, she blocked it. His blades clashing against hers once more. He stayed low as he tried to rush around behind her. But as his blades struck out to try and get her once more, they instead were met with the Sith's red blades. Blocking another of his attacks. Despite this, he was undeterred. Striking out again as he shifted position to find some opening that would allow him to end this. He would not concede this fight to the Sith. She might be good, but she was not perfect
