*Nya reached up and rubbed her eyes, the look of them returning to normal. She looked up at the taller woman and was still a bit apprehensive even as the feel of danger around Alena dissipated. Under the baggy hoodie she wore, the young echani was thin, aside for the few curves she had. Having been malnourished in her early life, and the fact that Echani were already naturally more slender then humans just made her look frail.*
I g-guess...It would be nice to have someone who knows the area better then I do...

"Knows it?"
Her smile grew wider, as if amused, before her eyes took on a steely, confident glint. "Oh, sweetie." She pointed at one of the streetlights with her left hand, snapped her fingers, and chuckled as it went out. She then pointed at another one with her right, and with another snap, it too went out. Finally, she brought her hands down and snapped her fingers one last time, and both of them came back on, illuminated her multicoloured hair and the girl's shiny white hair.
"I own it."
She laughed, then held her hand out to the girl, all good times and cheer now.
"My name's Alena. What's yours?"

*Nya watched the light's that Alena pointed at as they flickered off and on. There was a look of amazement in her eyes until she heard Alena say three words that always struck a cord with Nya. And then she said her name. There was a frown on her face as she seemed to be searching Alena's for something.*
You can use the Force, can't you? It's not right to use that power to impose your will to own an area...That's the kind of stuff my brother told me about it since I can't so much as flip a piece of paper without using my hands

Her eyes narrowed instinctively at the question about the Force. Could she? Yes, she could. She had some training, but it had never reached anywhere near her brother's level. And she couldn't afford to let anyone know about her latent talents.
"Interesting question. But no. I can't."
Her voice was stern, almost as if she was scolding the girl for getting the wrong impression.
"And I don't technically own it. I just have control over a few systems, and I monitor everything. Very little happens here that I don't know about. And in a place like this, knowledge is power, and information is currency."
She blinked, then tilted her head slightly. It would be a small matter -- a very small matter -- to run facial recognition software and find out this girl's identity. But that would be an unnecessary display of power, even if Alena didn't tell her she was doing it. And there was something off about this girl, from the way she had been acting.
"Tell me..." It wasn't that hard to figure out. Immediately defensive and submissive, relying on a protective older brother, a strong adverse reaction to the mention of ownership.. "Who hurt you?"
Her voice had already dropped the stern tone, shifting now to one of compassion and kindness, and her eyes shone with sympathy for the girl, as if to say "I know the pain." And it was true, in a way, though she hadn't realized it for the longest time.
And all the while, she hadn't lowered her hand, still holding it out to the Echani woman before her..

*No one had ever so bluntly asked who had hurt her. In truth, it had been a number of different people, but Nyanna hardly knew this woman well enough to start listing off names. She wished Zik were there to answer things for her, but in truth, she was the one person who would know where he was after he left the jedi, and even she had no clue. She stared at Alena's hand for a moment and then grasped it very lightly.*
You don't need to worry about who hurt me...My brother does that just fine...And my name is Nyanna...

Alena smiled and gripped Nyanna's hand just a bit firmer then Nyanna was gripping her own, before letting go again. Didn't want to hurt the poor girl. "Pleasure to meet you, Nyanna."
And again with the brother. Hmm..
"My brother's the same way. Anytime I was in trouble, or hurt, he'd go through armies to get to me. No power in the 'verse could stop him.." She smiled wistfully, staring off into the distance above Nyanna's head. A sigh escaped her lips, her smile fading and her expression dropping. "Almost seven years, now.."
Suddenly, she focused on Nyanna again, all girlish cheer, the only sign of her previous emotion being a slight shimmer in her eyes, the tiniest sparkle of tears. Another wide smile plastered itself on her face as she spoke cheerfully.
"Now then. You were shopping while waiting to go to Honoghr, right? C'mon, let's go shopping! It's all on me."

Makia looked off in the distance somewhat as he spoke of handling her no matter her mood. She had to grin at that. Many a person had said that, and many a person had doubted their sanity afterwards. But, right now, she figured she'd done enough, at least, in this room. This idea only became stronger when he stopped her from removing his helmet.
Suddenly, with the restraining, yet gentle grasp, came a weird misplaced security. Certainly a different sentiment was felt by the once Mandalorian. But Makia almost never though the way other people did. Her mind invented the reality she needed at any given time, be it true or not. And right now, she needed to know that this mission would truly give her something to live for. Because, even hidden from herself, was a tiredness in trying so hard...to die.
For some span of time, she just transfixed her green eyes on the union their hands had made. Kurayami's comment about not killing his partners had originally fallen on deaf ears. She'd heard it all before, but again, she needed to believe it, and so, she did....for now.
Blinking a few times, she pulled her hand away and stood up rather suddenly. Looking around the room, as if suddenly paranoid, the woman's shoulders relazed and she looked over at the still seated man, a look of impatience in her eyes.Well... c'mon then! I get really board if I stay in one place too long.... That's when I start lighting things on fire. She giggled, but what she was actually saying, probably consisted of "Being still too long makes me think...about... stuff-I-don't-want-to-think-about." Or on those lines. Without waiting on a responce, Makia set her eyes on the door, and with practiced, normal looking strides, she began to, once again, run from those forbidden thoughts. Kurayami was not completely unaware of the woman's reaction to his words, though he didn't follow her gaze. She was an interesting one that much was easy to tell, and from all experiences he had with others thus far, he had no reason to not believe that he couldn't handle Makia. Though what she brought to the table in terms of trouble...well that would just be fun to find out in his mind.
He saw that her eyes transfixed on their intertwined hands, and her face told him that her mind was thinking, on what he dared not guess, but the gears were certainly turning in there. Then came the few rapid blinks of her emerald eyes and the sudden removal of her hand from his. The panicked looks around the room were entertaining to the Mandalorian before her shoulders relaxed and she looked over to him speaking with a slightly annoyed tone from what he could tell. He stood and followed her from the table."Well then, I suppose a trip to the spaceport would be in order so that we can pick up my ship. She's old but sturdy, and a lot faster and more reliable than she looks. I would tell you to follow me, but you seem to have a penchant for shooting me for fun. Lighting things on fire is a good past time indeed..." He laughed after his reply, to let her know that there was no harm meant by his statements. However, before he could even take the lead, she was halfway across the bar, her strides quick but not out of place for someone who wanted to be on the move. He took his time to catch up to her outside the door of the place and then moved to walk beside her.

I couldn't do that...I can pay for myself, it's not a problem...
*Nyanna's cheeks flushed a light pink because of Alena's offer. No one had been so nice as to offer to buy the things she was looking at. In truth, she didn't even need anything really, but looking around passed the time and was better then just sitting around in a hotel room waiting. Nya could not help but wonder though if this woman had an ulterior motive to her kindness. Regardless, however, Nya pushed up a smile and decided to follow with Alena for now.*
I'll let you pick where we go, I am content to look around.

"Nonsense. Force knows I have enough money to spend, and you caught me in a generous mood."
She smiled, realizing that perhaps this was the first time anyone had refused to take "no" for an answer from the young woman and have it be a kindness instead of a threat. Circumstances may have changed Alena into someone vastly different than the carefree girl she had once been, but there was no reason she couldn't take part in some good old niceness every once in a while.
"Best place for, say, a dress is two blocks down. They know me there. Depending who's asking, of course."
Alena frowned briefly as a thought occurred to her, but perhaps it could wait until later.

Ben nods his thanks to Veroni and passes the caster to Vincent to free up his hands in case the Klatooinian needs help "remembering" =Veroni Nova and Sharron Octavia= Having reached the droid shop, the two girls alongside Smitty as well as Vincent entered through the front of the building. Hearing the wind chimes at the entrance as they stepped through, the twi'lek and the togruta placed the Ultrachrome shield up against a wall as Veroni called out to the shop owner.=Veroni Nova= "Hey! We're back!" =Klatooinian droid shop owner= Standing in the storage area of his shop which was past his counter, the Klatooinian heard the twi'lek's voice within the place and put away the rag he was using the clean the dust off a few boxes. He went to his counter and looked over at the group."Ok, so I take it those guys are long gon...WHAT THE?!" He saw the large shield next to Sharron in the shop as she leaned on it. His eyes wide as he knew that shield was owned by the Houk leader of the thugs."That belonged to the guy in charge of those hoodlums! If you have that, that's proof for sure you dealt with the...HOLY!" He saw that Smitty nearby had the Juggernaut droids the thugs originally had."And you have their droids?! That is quite something!" =Sharron Octavia= "If you don't mind, we'd like to get right to making that deal regarding the droids you had for sell here." =Klatooinian droid shop owner= Snapping out of it, the droid shop owner responded to what the togruta said."Oh yes right. What was the deal again?" He asked as he looked at Smitty for a response.

Makia's pace neither slowed or sped up as Kurayami came to fall in step with her. She didn't even look over at him. Her mind was still too tangled to think about language. One of her hands absentmindedly fiddled with a silvery hilt of what looked to be a lightsaber, though, up until now it hadn't been brought into sight. The Mandalorian might be able to see it, if he was looking. Her eyes remained fixated ahead, and in the direction they were going, the spaceport. Finally, she spoke, even as she kept walking, her tone a little business like than before, something Kurayami might not have heard from the woman.
I take it you've met the Felucian Jedi, from your reaction back at the bar.
She gripped the saber weapon's hilt firmly with her left gloved hand as she continued.
Not too sure what social standing you had with them when you left, but I can say that, once, a long time ago, I would have tried to keep them as safe as possible through this mission. Today, things are different.
She wasn't sure if Kurayami understood what she was getting at, and, even if he did, it felt good to say it, explain it to herself again.
I just want to get there, and get off as soon as possible, no matter who's head ends up rolling across the floor, if that makes any sense.
And it was true. Raven Alora had been beyond a forgiving friend, even after Makia had tried to kill her several times. But right now, the black haired woman's mind was too far away to care much for the smallish jedi's safety, or anyone else's for that matter.

Kurayami wasn't fazed by the fact that Makia didn't so much as acknowledge that he was walking beside her at this point. He figured that she was simply going through what she needed to mentally to ready herself. He did take note of the silver lightsaber hilt at her side, oddly he had missed that before. Upon seeing it he realized that the earlier confrontation could have gone much worse than it had. He continued on towards his ship as her eyes remained fixed ahead. When she finally broke the silence he chuckled at the businesslike tone in her voice, it was different, but refreshing.
"Yea, I met 'em once before. Had an old Stealth X and orders to do some scouting for an upcoming hunt. Exotic creatures and such, whatever would fetch a high price on the black market ya know? Anyways, crashed after systemic failures crippled the ship...wandered the surface a bit, found them after awhile..."
Her hand moving to grip the hilt brought the Mandalorian's hand to the grip of his left T-6 rail pistol. Hopefully he would be able to at least knock the weapon away and save his own skin if things went south from here.
"Alright, so i didn't really find them, more I had a run in with a village of Felucian hunters, slaughtered and burned the village to get the attention of the Conclave, and then used a bit of an alibi to cover myself, some true, some deceit. I had nothing against the Conclave, I just wanted off the kriffing rock. There were plants that had already tried to eat me, I wasn't looking forward to anymore of that. They did get me a shuttle back to my Liberator that I had at the time. Then I left after that, so not a great standing, they had their suspicions of me but never pined anything concrete on me."
He didn't understand the exact nature of what she was saying, but he understood the gist and in this case that was all he needed. His D-5 wasn't far now, just another docking bay.
"Well then Makia, let's make that our mission. To be quick and efficient at this, get in, kill or subdue whoever necessary to get our target out safely, and leave. I prefer o loose ends personally. Things get too messy otherwise."
He stopped in front of the door to the docking bay, entered the passcode and led her towards the D-5 sitting in the center. The ramp lowered as the pair approached the craft, and Kurayami allowed her to board in front of him. Stepping on, he moved towards the cockpit, taking a seat at the controls and running a quick preflight checklist. Once he was done he engaged the engines and repulsors, slowly moving the throttle forward as they lifted off. When they were clear of the spaceport he dropped the third engine into position and angled upwards towards the stars. Once they were clear, he could set course and she could get to cleaning the armor.

"We were to make the thugs leave you alone and you sell us the droids real cheap." Ben says studying the Klatooinian making sure hes not trying to renege on the deal =Klatooinian droid seller= Slapping himself at the top of his head, the Klatooinian responded."Right, right, right. My bad. Just give me a moment." He said then began to move back to the storage room as the IG-86 sentinel droids from earlier came into the main sell's floor. Acting at the security to make sure no one stole anything while the shop owner got the droids the group was looking for. After a short while, the Klatooinian would reemerge from the storage room with the two crates that held the LE-series droid and the Duelist Elite droid respectfully."Here we go. The two droids. Still in great condition. Now let's talk price. I'll keep my end of the bargain to except your credits, but that's it." =Sharron Octavia= Looking at the others, the togruta started haggling with the droid seller."Forty two thousand credits." =Klatooinian droid seller= "Hey whoa! You said way back they were at least sixty five thousand!" =Sharron Octavia= "Come on. We took care of a bunch of thugs for you. You can afford to give us a discount can't you?" =Klatooinian droid seller= A stubborn look coming across his face, the Klatooinian man folded his arms."Not for that cheap! You have any idea how much money I have to put into putting these droids up for sell? The cataloging, the restorations, the occasional maintenance? I got put food on my table too you know!" =Veroni Nova= "Forty nine thousand credits." =Klatooinian droid seller= Hearing the red twi'lek, the droid seller spoke to her."I'll go as low as sixty thousand." =Veroni Nova= "Mister droid shop owner, given the fact those thugs must of been making it tough for you to make money lately, I think you'd rather need the money we got. Why don't you just meet us at the middle somewhere?" =Klatooinian droid seller= Sighing, the droid seller rubbed the back of his head thinking on what Veroni said. It was true that he was in need of some serious cash soon. He had to pay the bills to keep his store open and not closed by the landowners. Looking at the group, he spoke again."Fifty eight thousand." =Sharron Octavia= "Fifty three thousand." =Klatooinian droid seller= "That's still too low. Fifty eight thousand." He said. Allowing the group to continue to haggle with him. He seemed too stubborn to budge any further. None the less, it was very possible for the group, including Benjamin 'Smitty' Smith and Vincent to try to suggest a price to him. If neither of the boys could figure an offer, one of the girls would.

Kaarn smiled thinly as he read the HNN ticker. His research -- oftentimes sniffing out leads in news articles and hacking sec cams from all corners of the 'verse for hours on end, 90% of the time fruitless, had paid off. Going back to the original Bounty posting, he finished the last of the mug of caf that had been sitting cold by his side for the better part of six hours, and, having devoted the particulars of the catch to memory, closed his datapad and paid the cafe clerk for the public access port (and left a little something extra for the hours he had loitered.)
Standing, he cracked his neck once, twice, wiped down the datapad, table and mug, and walked slowly out into the New Vertica gloom.
A short walk from the watering hole stood the door to a landing platform he had 'rented' three days ago. Entering the bogus card into the reader, he gave the clearance code, and then accessed the reader's hardware, wiping it of any evidence that the public pad had been in use. Walking thru the portal, out onto the landing pad, the Hunter turned his collar up against the wind, but did nothing to shield himself against the incessant rain. The body of the deck worker lay where the Hunter had left him, spread-eagle, arms outstretched toward the comm pad thirty feet away on the wall, a river of crimson running toward the drain at one side of the landing pad. Sharp eyes scanned for anything out of place, and he sniffed, searching for prey. Looked up at the Red Nine, poised like a vulture on the pad, and the black astromech alert and focused in its socket. A single nod to the droid and R9X4 began the pre-flight checklist.
Stepping silently over the rivulet of diluted blood draining away, to fall thirty levels to nowhere, Kaarn disarmed the security features on the Red Nine, and opened the hatch.
It would be a long flight. Long enough to sharpen his blades.

"No one's going to mess with you here, Nyanna. Least of all gravity. Not while I'm around."
Her curiosity demanded that she learn more about this girl, but it was just as important that she take her time in learning those things; the silver-haired girl seemed far too skittish to be an open book right off the bat, and rushing anything was almost always a bad idea.

A-alright. Thank you for your generosity.
*Nyanna stood upright and gave Alena a smile, her silvery eyes shimmering a bit in the presence of Nar Shadda's flickering lights. Already Nyanna seemed to be more at ease. Much of her nervousness came from the ignorance of her surroundings, And nothing about Alena felt to far out of what Nya considered normal. She looked around at the stores within eye shot once more and turned back to Alena.*
Please, lead on.

She smiled again as she realized that Nyanna had not yet let go of her arm. That was an encouraging sign, for now.
The store was in sight now, and Alena turned her azure gaze on the pale girl once more, sizing her up.
"So. I'm thinking.. A size 3? And I'm seeing you in green. Possibly.. Hmm. No. Hmm.."
She looked back towards the store, seemingly lost in thought, muttering to herself under her breath. Suddenly, she abandoned the muttering in favour of a wide grin.
"This is going to be fun."
