*Nyanna slips her arm from Alena's as she begins to look around the shop. She saw many pretty dresses and beamed a bright smile till she heard Alena verbally size her up. Nyanna shook her head lightly and corrected her.*
Almost... I am a size four, but a good guess.
*She turned back to look at more dresses, most loose sun dress styled. She was never a big fan of form fitting clothes, feeling bad when people would stare. Though that was not to say she wouldn't wear them, just didn't prefer them*

"Size four? I'm still seeing you in green.. a bit of flair, nothing too eccentric.."
They entered the store finally, no longer arm-in-arm, though Alena still held high hopes that this girl would come out of her shell. She selected several dresses for Nyanna to try on, one in green, one in pink, one in blue, and one in yellow, to see what the girl would best fit in.
She didn't tell Nyanna that anytime she went shopping, it might as well have been free; she had more credits than she really knew what to do with. In theory, Nyanna could be loaded up with whatever she wanted by the end of the day...

Wow...That is really pretty...but I would never have a reason to wear such an extravagant dress... *Nyanna smiled and strolled down one of the isles, stopping as something caught her eyes. She pulled the dress off the rack and looked it over with a bright smile. She almost skipped back over to Alena, holding the dress out to her.*It's more likely that I will wear something like this...

Alena couldn't help but smile at the girl's obvious enthusiasm. It was the first time she had seen Nyanna seem happy; the girl had so far been quite reserved.
"Go on, then."
She nodded towards the dressing room, a delighted spark in her eye.
"Try it on for size."

The silence was broken by the beep of a chrono as it went from 06:59 to 07:00. Viktov reached over and turned it off, returning the spartan room to silence once more. He had been sitting by the edge of the bed for the past hour waiting for the alarm. Now he rose, leaving behind the feminine form that was otherwise undressed save for the sheets that were draped over her. Stepping into the similarly spartan kitchen slash living area he was greeted by the sight of a shaggy canine, it's head tilted as if appraising him. Viktov wagged his brows at the dog as he stepped past it towards the kitchen counter. Empty wineglasses and unfinished plates of food adorned the counter top. Viktov's chest expanded as he took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled through his nostrils. He took a slice of meat from one of the plates and tore it in half, reaching down with one piece that was quickly snatched up by his canine companion who proceeded to lick his palm and fingertips afterwards. With his other hand he popped the cold piece of meat past his lips and devoured it, mimicking his dog as he licked the grease off his fingers. He did the same to two more slices before scratching the canine behind the ears, then the two made their way towards a white sofa. Viktov reached for a control unit resting on the armrest as he settled onto the sofa, with his furry friend beside him, head plopped atop his thigh. The form of a human female HNN reporter came to life as he turned the holoprojector on. The volume was muted as headlines stating Mandalore Wages Crusade flashed below the reporter, with the scrolling three dimensional text talking of a blockade. Viktov changed the channel. Flipping through the near endless amount of available channels he finally settled on one with an orchestra playing. Viktov unmuted the projector and raised the volume to a moderate level as the music coming from various instruments filled the room. He leaned back against the headrest and closed his eyes.
Moments later he heard whining coming from below. He opened his eyes and found his couchmate looking at him with pleading eyes. Their gazes locked, neither willing to budge. Eventually the music ceased as Viktov sighed and flipped the channel out. He settled on the Endangered Creatures channel, the particular segment dealing with Tatooine's Krayt dragons. He closed his eyes once more. But once again he was brought out of his reverie at the sound of the entrance opening then closing. Viktov glanced at his dog, who was pointedly ignoring him while watching the projector. Viktov gave a grunt before rising from the couch and walking into the bedroom. His bed was empty, all traces of the previous night gone. Walking over to the small table by his bed that held a datapad, Viktov reached down and pressed a button on the device and a holomessage popped up.
He read the message twice before pressing delete. For a few seconds Viktov remained rooted to the spot as the words MESSAGE DELETED flashed. Then he shut the datapad off and turned for the window. The holowindow was currently depicting the false image of a still, sunny ocean. Triggering a button near the windowsill dramatically changed the view to that of a rainy forest. The sound of rain pervaded the room as he raised the volume. Pulling a small pack out of his pants pocket that held one last cigarette, Viktov clenched the stick between his lips and lit it with a lighter that he had produced. He took a deep drag, expelling the smoke out through his nostrils. He spent a few more seconds looking out at the illusory distance before turning the image off altogether. The window blinked out into darkness as Viktov retreated from the window and left the room.

The skies were obscured by the planets ever present smog, a byproduct of the industrial waste that an ecumonopolis tended to generate - though there was something more dismal than usual to Nar Shaddaa. Perhaps it was the soaring skyscrapers, their majesty robbed by rusting metals and dirtied transparisteel, perhaps, or maybe it was the grimy and trash ridden streets. In the end, maybe it was simply something more undefinable, the soul of the planet itself perhaps, given voice by the criminals and vermin that called this shriveled moon their home. Even now, gangs resided in the alleys, kings of their little dominions...others simply tried to play the hand dealt to them, shuffling along the sidewalks with downcast eyes, trying not to cough from the pollution. Some eventually left this place...they left in ships and fled across the stars, smugglers, spacers, perhaps an honest merchant fell in their ranks. No...Nar Shaddaa was truly home to only two kinds of scum...killers, and thieves. In the mad scramble to be the king of the trash heap, you had to step on people to get there - see, everyone wanted to better their position in this place...a couple extra credits tended to go a long way...and when you stepped on people, you had two options; kill them, and declare yourself a target, or deceive them...and leave them wondering.
The Omwati male that currently leaned up against the side of a building in downtown New Vertica, belonged to the latter. See, ANY moron with half a brain can puff himself up big, pull a large gun, and then blast a place to pieces...took no skill, no finesse...it was a matter of firepower, and how vicious you were. Thievery on the other hand...is an art...can you outsmart the your mark? Can you outwit him? What play, what ploy, will you use? It made the victory all the more sweet when it was won; if killers were the kings, then thieves were the princes of the underworld. Shaking his head, the man shook the dark feather strands of hair out of his eyes. Black in color, they were the result of an unusual mutation in the pigment genes - they resulted in a jet black color as opposed to the typical shock of white - as well as colored his skin a darker shade of blue than was normal, and his eyes a deeper shade of indigo. Beyond this, he was Omwati, through and through. Slightly longer bones gave him a subtle but noticeably frail appearance, though his life in crime had toned a musculature that could only be described as lithe - accenting the high and aristocratic avian features of the face rather nicely. Striking was the word, as were most of his species; to this day, he raised some eyebrows.
He wore plain clothes at the moment, utterly nondescript street clothes - carefully chosen to portray a poorness that wasn't worth anyones time, but a toughness in fabric that would withstand the harsh conditions of New Vertica's underbelly. The local gangs new well enough to leave him alone, and the local crime lord had declared him under protection. Shaking his head once more, the Omwati pulled the thin cigarra from between his legs and threw it to the ground, stepping on it briefly before walking around the wall of the building he had been leaning on. Only, it WASN"T a wall - dirty, rusted, calcified in places from acid rain, the fifteen meter long wall was half as high, and was in actuality the starboard side of a starship. An Explorer Scout ship, the squat little ship had three decks, the bottom of which was currently a restaurant; entering the hold, the Omwati pulled the counter closed once more as he took up his customary place behind the bar. Indeed, a bar; the entire ship had been parked here in the underworld some years ago, and the Omwati had taken up residence and restored the thing. With the ships fore ramp lowered, the Omwati had installed several racks and other items into the small hold; a long bar that stretched from wall to wall lowered on tracks from the ceiling to the ground and locked into place, a series of five stools could be screwed into the ramp when it was lowered, a cabinet lowered on similar rails on the port side, and a small work space did the same on the starboard...when not in use, they simple raised up to be inset into the ceiling. Despite its ramshackle design, it was the best goddamn noodle bar in entire New vertica; "The Birdhouse" as it was known, was probably one of the best known restaurants as to be safe - designated neutral despite the prevalence of gangs - as well as having cheap food and strong drinks. It was also one of the better places to obtain information...
Shaking his head, the Omwati pulled on an apron, picked up a knife, and began chopping noddles to even lengths before pouring them into a bot of boiling water. Still...life was decent, but it lacked...well, adventure. Having been a thief by trade before falling onto hard times - hence the honest work, it paid a little more regularly - he hungered for the heist. But, he feared that time would never come...there just wasn't anyone BIG enough to hit in this town...and those that were big enough, were just too well protected. So the Omwati bid his time...watching, talking, cooking. Someday, the time would come to leave this place. Someday he would save enough money to fuel up this ship, and get the hell outa here...
Someday.

Sep and Mel cast each a look as the ship descended through the clouds and headed for New Vertica. Initially, she had been apprehensive about the assignment to the team, but after a couple flights and a couple games of sabacc, Sep and Mel were becoming fast friends. Mel always managed to have an eye for mechanics and the mods to the VCX-700 were impressive. Sep was impressed with her knowledge of the VCX but then again, Mel had a pretty impressive sniper rifle too. Sep stroked the utility panel, purring to "Suzy" under his breath as the ship came around to the landing pad. Mel shook her head at the pilot.
"Suzy?"
Sep shot Mel a dirty look, his hands on the yoke.
"Hey, I don't get on you for Lola."
Mel crossed her arms in mock derision, her eyebrow raised.
"That's because Lola's cool."
She shook her head and flipped all the switches to help Sep get the Soul of Fire grounded and powered down. She turned in the seat to face Taung.
"We're here. I'll get everyone to the briefing. We'll be ready when you are."

Taung nodded distractedly as he had a conversation in his helmet from some unknown person, and motioned that he would meet them in the hold. It didnt take long, only a minute and he joined everyone else, giving Mel a nod to dole out the information that she had gleaned about their target as he settled himself against an unmarked crate. It was a bit cozy with everyone packed in, cargo holds with some actual cargo in them didnt leave a lot of room for elbows and knees. His body language suggested that he was distracted by something else.

A Davaab-type starfighter drops out of hyperspace, and moves in towards the orbit of Nar Shaddaa. Over an open transmission channel, the man at the helm of the starfighter called out.Carson Lone, seekin' clearance to approach orbit an' requestin' route for landin' path. His voice was a bit on the verge of sounding bored. A gauntleted hand scratches at the scars on his left cheek, while his blue eyes lingered on the computer scan. With the few depressions of the controls on the computer he begins running a passive scan, it was possible that the air traffic control would reply over a different frequency, and he had to make sure that there wasn't any unsavoury types laying in wait for him here. After receiving clearance to land Carson had guided his ship down landing in the appropriate docking bay. He exits his ship, throwing a black duffel bag over his right shoulder. He wasn't wearing his usual gear, and instead had on a simple black flight jack with a white v-neck t-shirt on underneath it. His verpine shatter pistol was holster out of side under his jacket by his right armpit. He wore sunglasses that had a minor HUD system set up. The glasses also had headphone ear buds, which were currently playing the music off of his datapad. Locking his ship the man moved to head to pay the landing and storage fee before moving off into the city streets.

His free left hand pulled a pack of cigarettes out of his jacket's left breast pocket. Placing it in the corner of his mouth, he returns the pack of cigarettes to his pocket and brings out a flint type lighter and pulls a stiff drag off before replacing the lighter into his pocket. The HUD was displaying a list of cheap hostels available for the week, using slight tilts of your head and sweeps of your eyes to inspect several of the ads.
Carson's combat boots make dull sounds on the slightly greasy duracrete pavement from the slight rain that was coming down. The smoke of his cigarette leaving a wafty tail trailing the man's path. He had found a proper hostel, but it was quite a walk into the more seedier part of town. He wasn't sure where the order had been issued from, but it was classified and labelled high priority. One of those tricky "don't ask and damn sure don't tell, gets you paid well" missions and the renegade loved those kind of missions.

Mel had gathered everyone together, making sure briefing materials were distributed to everyone in the hold. She waited for Taung to give the go ahead before she began her rundown.
"We're tracking a former courier for the Core to Rim Shipping company named Mets Aveeno. This is his picture from his CTR Shipping ID. Everything I have been able to dig up suggests that it could be an alias. His description matches a small time scams runner here in New Vertica by the name of Rik Stevfs. Stevfs is known to run numbers for a Hutt named Swdesh. There are a few different spots where he comes to either run a game or collect debts on behalf of Swdesh. It's possible Swdesh is an underboss in the cartel we're looking for. They are gonna smell us coming a mile away if we go in there in beskar and blasters. There are a couple crates of nonproprietary ship parts in here. We should be able to fence them here for a decent amount of coin. Leave the Mando'a on the ship. Blend in. Act like a scoundrel. It'll be easy for you Tib. Gamble if you can. Throw the money around, brag but try not to give us all away. If you can't leave the Mando on the ship, don't leave the ship. We only get one shot at getting to Swdesh and finding out where that cargo went."
She finished up and looked around.
"Questions?"

"You know your limits, there are none, and debt is good when looking for traces, so is being really benevolent to the right people. Greed shows the Hutt. You know the limits...it doesnt technically exist. If we run out...Well we won't run out. Paired teams, everyone keep an eye on one another, keep the trackers on the chirp freqs in case you get separated. Everyone goes home to tihaar afterwards. I'll stay here as coordinator and door kicker if need be. Questions? Ok. Get to it."
Everyone broke up, Sep and Tib already in civilian clothes headed out immediately, drifting apart and shadowing each other, heading into cesspool, Einen, Leos, and Vith went to slip out of their beskar'gam.
Taung watched the initial business for a moment before flipping his HUD over to map mode and started laying out the best routes through the city in case someone needed some heavy muscle.
"Gaeza, can you inventory breaching material and weapons for my while I check the medical supplies and electronics?"

Finally he had made it to the hostel, and booked himself a room. He moved about the room methodically, checking behind paintings for microphones as well as in the various light's housing. After checking these various items, he moved to the curtains that revealed a back alley way from the second story and then finally to the phone where he cracked open the receiver and ear piece checking it as well for bugs.
"Alls clear." He said with a sigh of relief before turning down the lights and opening up the duffel bag he had been lugging around. Stripping down to his briefs he began to fold the close he had been wearing and removing the various tools of his trade from the bag. He pulled on the pants and placed his beskar'gam on. After dressing out he put his crushgaunts on and began clipping the weapons he would be taking with him. Two of his T-289 gas grenades, his Verpine shatter pistol, and his beskar sword. On his back he strapped his Mandalorian Assault carbine, and finally he pulled on his gas mask and placed his helmet on over it. He slide his Mandalorian Ripper into his right boot and placed the two Syntox poison gas grenades clipped on either of his hips towards his back.
He turned to stare out of the window for sometime. His body cast in with the shadows that had enveloped his room once turning off the interior lighting. He would be slipping into city soon, but after he had thought about what his course of action was.

Mel and Vith were paired up, Mel made up like a Juvex party girl. She didn't like the cut of the outfit, it was far more revealing than she was comfortable with, but it wasn't like she had a choice. She made a beeline for a casino where a large majority of the clientele were smugglers and ship captains. She was looking to throw some money down and get a little loose. Vith was hanging back watching everything, and waiting for a signal to come and buy her drink if someone was pushing their luck with Mel.
She had found a spot at sabacc table and started drinking, loudly bragging with the other captains about her latest exploits. Midway through her third game, she noticed Mets enter the bar. He disappeared into the crowd, Vith following him over towards the bar. Mel finished out the hand, throwing the game. She started another round, subtly signalling to Vith that he was their man. Vith headed for the restroom to signal the others while Mel continued to make a show of her ill gotten gains. When she finally excused herself from the table, she headed to the bar for a drink. Mets headed out of the bar, the excitement over but Leos and Einen picked up the trail outside, as Mets wound his way through clubs, switching off the tracking with Sep and Tib.
It was well into the night before they followed him back to a warehouse. Mel followed the guys with a speeder, setting up a sniper nest in view of the building. She let Vith hack the warehouse's signal and terminals. She reported back to Taung.
We have paydirt. The cartel is run by a Hutt named Temon. The cargo is inside. Looks like it supposed to be moved to a buyer tomorrow.

Gaeza headed out of her quarters and back towards where the items he asked her to count were. She was focused on her breathing, feeling quiet and relaxed for the first time in a while. She was able to count quickly as she only needed to verify the existing manifest.
"Here you go, everything is there."

Mel, if you had your gear do you think you could get a tracker on either the crate or someone or something that is going with it?

*The sights and sounds of the busy cantina filled every inch of the room, well almost every inch. Titus sat in a corner both, feet propped up on the table and drink in hand. He watched the patrons go about their business. His eyes scanned every person in there, their movements, habits, everything he needed to know if this went bad in a hurry. Bringing the drink to his lips, he took a long drink before setting the glass on the table.*
*His mind drifted for a minute to his crew. The very crew of somewhat faithful friends waiting for him to find their next job. That's what he should be doing, instead he was drowning his thoughts in this cantina. His crew relied on him, he was supposed to be their fearless leader, but the loss of one of his closest friends was slowing him down. Shaking his head, he grabbed the drink off the table and slugged back the rest of it. The amber liquid burned on its way down, taking with it some of the pain and memories. He needed work, something, anything to take his mind of his recent failures.*

Moments had slipped by and Carson had been sitting staring out the window for some time. Taking a deep breath, he pushed it open and climbed carefully out onto the landing before closing the window behind him until it was just barely cracked open. He had opted out of wearing a buy'ce long ago, he couldn't stand the heat a full helmet loaded up with tech would produce. Instead he wore a gas mask, and ballistics helmet.
Letting go of his grip he drops down into the shadow engulfed alleyway. The night on Nar Shaddaa was almost as bright as the day, but the thick oily clouds that told of a soon coming rain drove out most of the moon and starlight. Carson turned heading down into the street his datapad clipped to the center of his belt at the front, the route on the map display he was taking already planned out in his head. He would be at the den in nearly ten minutes.

Vith replied, shaking his head although Taung couldn't see the pair of them staked outon a rooftop.
Negative. We can't paint the targets without arousing suspicion. It looks like they are having a meeting at the moment. The security system has proximity sensors in it, but I might be able to get the security code if we wait long enough. We'll keep you posted.
Vith watched Mel as she lay silently across the backseat of the speeder, her scope clamped down and dialed in. She hardly seemed to breath and he understood why now a rather vivacious girl had been assigned their new sniper. She could have been mistaken for a corpse with her stillness.
"Let me know when they look to be winding down. What are they talking about now?"
Mel never moved from her spot, not looking away from the scope and the infrared scene playing out before her.
"Easy money."
