Gaeza shook her head as she plopped down into one of the padded seats in the common area. She felt a little better since she was not on Garqi anymore but Nar Shadaa felt like a different kind of wrong. There was too much going on there, as if the entire planet seemed to buzz with the thoughts of its citizens. It felt as though she was standing in a loud room where the din drowned out her own thoughts. She twirled her hair around her fingers, seemingly distracted by some thought but she was staring at a data stick on the far counter. She almost looked like she had fallen into a trance, but a deep crease formed her forehead the longer she stared until the data stick wobbled slightly and fell on the floor.
Gaeza let out a string of unflattering things a young lady should never say and pushed herself up out of the seat to pick up the small electronic device. This was turning out to be a lot harder than she thought it would be. Frustrated, she cast a sideways glance at Taung before she spoke.
"Are you sure my prime was powerful? Maybe she just makes everyone think she is. What if she can't even move a stupid data stick?"

Copy.
Taung turned to Gaeza.
"Sith usually don't survive to become leaders unless they have some kind of advantage over the others, power is one of them. No matter what kind of guile one has, eventually they will get tested with sheer power. Besides, you tossed a table across the room without trying. Whats on your mind?" He asked in a curious tone, genuinely interested in seeing what she was thinking.

"Garqi was quiet but it felt like being in a grave. This place is too loud to concentrate. I tried to look up stuff on how to use it and it sounds like a bunch of weirdo hokey-pokey. I don't understand what they are saying."
She fidgeted with the data stick in her hands, a deep sigh as she accepted that this was going to take more than a few hours to learn how to use this crazy magic. Magic that the Manda'lor wanted to kill others simply for having. She was about to ask him another question when Mel's voice crackled over the comlink.
I need Lola.

Copy. I'll bring her over.
Taung thought for a moment.
"If you want to come with me if you want, though I have heard of a technique you can try. Find a candle in here and light it, and just sit and stare at the flame and concentrate on it. Dim the lights, lock the hatch and just focus on the flame. Just try not to burn down the ship ok?"
He pulled off his helmet with a hiss and gave her a wink as he quickly pulled off the bulkier armor plates, and slipped them into a padded bag, along with his bulkier weapons as he threw a large spacers cloak around him, making himself one of the many beings on planet who preferred not to be noticed or let others know what they were wearing. He quickly grabbed Mel's Verpine Rifle in its case and squirted some grease on it, smearing it back and forth before picking up the bag and the case and heading down the boarding ramp. Serruptitisly he knelt and covered the case in dirt, adhering it to the sticky starship grease, smearing some of both on his cloak to give it a more worn appearance, just some spacer, or musician out trying to find work with whatever dive he could find to play in.

Gaeza shook her head, and headed back to her bunk to stare at a candle.
Mel called to the other pairs, opening a com channel to all of them.
Vith is ready to hack the proximity sensors. When they go down, Leos and Einen, you are going in to paint the target. I will cover you. The meeting is breaking up. Make sure none of you are seen. My next signal will be go.
She watched the few assembled in the wide open building , meander towards the door and pause along the way, still talking.
"Kad, they're worse than old women. Still talking."

It didnt take long for Taung to get to the building where he needed to go. The problem was getting up to where Vith and Mel were. He mused that Vith must have gone up the rickety looking ladder first as he set his bag down on the ground and started climbing up, using one hand to carry Lola's case. He winced at every tiny creak and groan the rusted metal made as he climbed up to sixth level from the fifth. At last he carefully stuck his head up to the sixth level, carefully glancing around, seeing Vith's feet first and Mel next to him, he was so focused on being quiet that he didnt notice anything else as he set Lola's case on the floor and started to push it. A noise from behind him, on retrospect probably a small animal or just the creak of the dilapidated building itself caused him to turn his head quickly to see what it was, and pushed the verpine sniper rifles case too far to the left and harder than he had intended, pushing the case into Mels bare legs as she was laying prone in the sniper's hide. The case halted much quicker than expected and Taung whipped back around to see what was holding up its progress as he gave the case another shove, turning in time to realize that he was looking up Mel's short outfit, and consequently everything else that the short garment hadnt covered up, and the case was in fact pressing into an inner thigh. Surprised he jerked back, not hard, but enough to shift his weight on one of the rungs of the old ladder, causing it to snap on that side. Suddenly off balance Taung started to fall backwards down towards the fifth floor, the leg that broke the rung getting hung up and smashing his back into the ladder and creating a loud bang, leaving him upside down for a moment before dropping him, tumbling, the rest of the way to the floor.

Mel hissed as Taung fell, both from the irritation of her CO shoving a large, dirty, greasy case between her legs and the clattering sound of him falling down the fire escape, drawing attention from passersby as to what they were doing up there. Mel shoved the scope back into her ample purse, and extricated Lola's case from between her legs. The skin between her thighs stuck together in a gummy way, making her skin crawl. Hydralic grease from ramp pistons. Had to be. That crap never came off and Lola was covered with. After this was over, she intended to have a very polite conversation with Taung about her rifle and acceptable treatment. For now, Vith was peering over the building to see where Taung landed from the fall as Mel's keen eyes looked for another good spot to watch the warehouse.
"You alright boss?"

Taung lay there with a look of 'I can't believe I just reacted like such a new guy' look on his face as he assessed any injuries and listened to the now very very quiet building. He looked up at Vith looking down at him.
"I don't know," he whispered loudly. "Is she going to kill me if I come up there?"
He wasnt really worried about her killing him...but maiming was never completely out of the equation either. He waited without moving for Vith to give him the thumbs up, or the opposite answer of a blank look and a couple blinks.

Mel cut her eyes at Vith who gave him the thumbs up. Mel had already started across the rooftop, jogging with Lola in her hand. She wasn't about to take any chances that no one heard them. The adjoining rooftops were pretty level for a while until she needed to get across an alleyway. She went street level, moving along as nonchalantly as she could until she came to the other tall structure. She set up Lola quickly, trying not to let the grease get into her critical parts. Once built, she set the rifle and zero'ed in the scope. She called to the others on the comlink.
Party's broken up. Vith, take down the sensors. Einen and Leos, ready on my mark.

Taung stood up and quickly pulled his armor back on, taking off the cloak and tucking it tight, then activated his armor's cloak, and simply vanished. He stepped out on the street letting his armor's systems take in the view, checking for followers or the curious. There were none. On Nar Shadaa it more often than not did not pay off to be curious, even about slight sounds.
Taung moved stealthily until he was in a place to cover both Mel and Vith when he exited the building.
Einen and Leos acknowledged with a click, waiting to paint the target.

Vith cycled the power feed to the proximity sensors and signaled Mel.
Mark.
Leos and Einen picked the lock and get in as quickly as they could. The crates were still marked with the Ilum Mining Company logo so they were easy to spot. Vith looked at the countdown.
30 seconds. Get clear.
Leos planted a small but powerful tracking device behind the shipping paperwork before both of them split and locked the door behind them. Mel scanned the area but nothing seemed to jump out at her for being out of the ordinary.
Alright. Back to the ship. We wait and watch where the blip goes.
She hastely took Lola apart, trying not to touch her too much and slid her back into the cutout foam inserts of her case. Taung had to be lurking around so she spoke to the ground in front of her as she grabbed her purse.
"You wanna tell me why you were shoving Lola between my legs?"

Taung had drifted closer to Mel as Einen and Leos cleared the building, and Vith had done the same several buildings down, drifting in the direction of Tib and Sep.
His voice came softly out of the dark.
What if I told you that was a legitimate accident...?
He hung the cloak he had worn on a hook next to her so it didnt appear to be floating in midair and arouse suspicion from the casual passerby who happened in at a wrong time.
You might want that, there arent many Juvex party girls wearing...so little...this late around this part of town.
He was glad both the cloak and his mask hid his eyes, she probably would have caught his eyes lingering on her as he constantly swept the streets and windows.

She wiped her hands on the cloak and slung it around her shoulders, letting it drape across her masking her curves and clothing. She hooked an arm in his, passing him Lola while she carried her purse and looked like a very expensive escort that he must have picked up somewhere in the city. She smiled and seemed to giggle at things he said. All part of the cover as they made their way back to the ship.
"Accident you say? And Lola's case? I suppose that grease is an accident as well?"
She shook her head at him, looking up at the street but throwing him sultry looks to fit her outfit.
"For that, you will clean the case and Lola, inside and out. Never mess with a sniper's baby."
She winked at him as they crossed the street and headed into the ship.

Taung slipped off his helmet and deactivated the cloak, hanging his helmet on his belt next to his swinging kama, playing the part of a merc who had money to spend on what he wanted before his next mission for a paycheck.
"I got distracted."
He took a few steps then seemed to realize what he said and passersby would have been able to see the blush in his cheeks as the late night couple walked through the dim pockets of light.
"That wasnt what I meant! I..." he sighs with realization. "There is no graceful way around that one is there? I will clean up Lola, couldnt have someone thinking some poor musician was actually carrying something valuable in the case could I? They'd bump the scope and you'd blame me!"
They got closer to a few people and he continued a little louder but with a conspiratorial quality to his voice for any audience.
"Besides, I have to keep my girls things nice and shiny so she can't wait to see me the next time I come calling!"
At that he leans over and nibbles at her ear for the audience, making it real so as to look like the lonely merc. As he did he tasted her skin and smelled her hair, and after he straightened up with a smile he actually had a little buzz going in his head. He blinked quickly a few times and gave a large smile, for the passing being's benefit and gave them a playful eyebrow raise like he had just shared a secret with them. One of them muttered something about disgusting humans in Aqualish that would normally start a fight in a place like this if it were said any louder.

His breath on her ear, and the sensation of the nibble sent a shiver down her spine. It had been a long time since someone had touched her like that, even as a means of cover. Taung was an attractive man, no doubt and a rose bloomed in her cheeks as well. Handsome, rich, well-trained; he could tempt the devil herself. She knew better but it had sparked something in her that roiled with uncertainty how much was for show and how much truth was in the blush on both their cheeks. Embarrassed to be thinking of her CO in such a way, she decided to change the subject. She leaned in, looking to be whispering lurid details of tryst but her words were a little more business.
"We need to redeploy to follow the pickup in the morning, and be ready to trace the buyer. I don't think I'll need Lola but I'd prefer she was cleaned sooner than later. That grease has a tendency to harden and gum up if not kept warm and there is a chill in the air tonight."
To keep up the appearances, she let her lips trail across his cheek, her thoughts anything but chaste.

As her lips brushed his cheek and her breath played warmly across it, he shivered as goosebumps sent chills down his arm and down his spine. He hadnt touched or been close to someone in so long. Head still floating a bit he decided to enjoy himself. There were few times when he could let down his guard, especially on a mission, even Nar Shaddaa though it were, was not so completely uncivilized that two beings couldnt partially ignore their surroundings as they moved closer to the docking area where the ship was.
"Well in that case, i'll have to polish her up in short order."
He kept his head close, letting it drift down across her ear to her neck as he whispered, his eyes, by simple position, ended up looking down across her body at a steep angle, and his thoughts moved even further from the task at hand.
"What are we going to do about the grease on your legs then?"

Her breath caught in her throat, her heart banging against her ribs like a bird trying to break free from a bony cage. She stopped in her tracks, jerking him around using his arms as a fulcrum so that he pivoted on his foot and crashed into her front. They were nose to nose, the filtering streetlamps adding a depth of color to her clear blue eyes, while the same light seemed to make the silver flecks in his shine. Her lips were so close to his, when she spoke he could feel her breath, a hint of mint as she had been sucking on candies in her sniper nest to pass the time. Her voice was husky in her nervousness, danger and fear in her flushed cheeks as she found the nerve to question her superior.
"Why do I get the feeling we're not doing this for show anymore?"
The rush of blood made her ears burn while the silence became painfully heavy between them and the pressure of temptation grew.

He suddenly found himself face to face with Mel, not just face to face, but within breathing distance, so close he could feel her breath against his face, her azure eyes bright in the streetlight. He could smell her hair and her skin now, so close, if he wasnt wearing his armor he was certain she could hear his heart thudding in his chest, maybe she could anyway.
"Mandos...can't be soldiers...all the time."
His breathing had deepened, and quickened and he leaned in even closer, shifting his lips even closer to hers.

The torment of wanting something and knowing how colossally bad of an idea it would be pressed on her. The want of him balled up in her throat and she froze. It was her first kill all over again, the hesitation about taking the plunge down a path that she could never undo. Mel was unused to being in a hard position, taking lives of those deemed enemies of the state. The decision to break with protocol with him seemed just as monumental. Before she could squeeze the trigger on closing the distance between their lips, the silence was broken by a chuckle and a wolf call as they were passed by Leos and Einen. A curse left her lips as she screwed her eyes closed and felt as though she could die right there. She released Taung's arm and jerked Lola's case out of his hands, turning for the ramp behind them. She felt like a fool, and knew before long Sep would know. She didn't want to think about him being hurt by her indiscretion with their boss. Perhaps she would have an opportunity to tell him before the others did.
She stormed up the ramp, heading to her bunk to change into something that covered her femininity, although she knew the damage had likely been done. It did not matter how good she was from then on, she was the skirt who was hot for the boss and used her ass to get what she wanted. It didn't matter if it was true or not, with sexism it was all about perception. Her scowl was dark and serious as she passed Gaeza looking puzzled as to why Mel was in such a bad mood.

Taung jerked away as she did, offering no resistance to her taking the case from him. He sucked in a breath as if he had been holding it as Mel stormed up the ramp and looked over at Leos and Einen who were both standing there grinning stupidly at him.
"You should go into acting boss. That was a pretty good scene there."
"Besides, mission focus remember?" Leos joined in. "But I will agree it was good, but maybe we should have Pretty Boy give you some lessons."
Taung rolled his eyes at the ribbing. The one nice thing about Mandalorians was they werent as strict about rank as standard armies...in fact far from it. Everyone had to go home to someone after the end of the war.
"Yeah yeah." He ran a hand over his mouth and down his chin and blew out his breath, his face feeling very warm all of a sudden. He looked up the ramp after Mel, seeing by now just the empty ramp and hoped that his moment of casualness hadnt hurt her further than embarrassment. "Lets see if that tracking device is working..."
Einen clapped him on the shoulder as he and Leos passed Taung up the ramp.
"Hey, better luck next time boss." The pair continued into the ship with grins plastered on their faces at having caught their commander outside of his normal comfort zone. They had heard rumors of a marriage at one time, but that had been years ago, and no rumors of him even dating had gone around since.
