Avaro looks up into the sky and sighs. He had a few friends who disappeared out into the galaxy and never returned.
"I wish that we could remain safe, even from those threats."

*Landrin begins to circle Brulax in a spiral toward the Jedi Master, should he evr find himself with a clear shot at Brulax's back, he makes a slight, almost imperceptible lunge with his blade from his hip, straight at Brulax's kidney.

Brulax did not move, but instead turned off his blade. When the attack came from behind him, he flipped on the blade and flicked his wrist, knocking the attack away. He then turned to face the young man, again turning his blade off, and closing his eyes, with his arms out to the side.

So do I. Vreegon began to think about his daughter, taken nearly two years before by the psycho named Hothar. I wish we never had to risk anything for freedom. That my children could stay safe forever. But that's not up to me.

Avaro nods in understanding.
"It may not be entirely up to us, but we can do what we can to make it safer for them for the time being. That is all anyone can ask of us, even ourselves."

Landrin believes this to move to be a trick. No one would truly completely drop their defenses in the middle of battle, unless he had a trick up his sleeve. Landrin believes that Brulax will remain like this until makes his move, so he aims a half-hearted swing at Brulax's left side, intending to abruptly change directions and follow it up with a deliberate diagonal cut from the bottom right as soon as Brulax makes his move.

Vreegon was musing to himself as they walked along the river. Avaro had no idea what was happening. Then again, Vreegon wasn't sure he understood it himself. Vreegon looked down at his son, Kelko, who was crying. He stopped and hugged his son.
=Kelko= Daddy, I'm sorry.
=Vreegon= I know son. This isn't punishment. I just want to protect you.
Vreegon stood, but could not hide the fact that he too was crying.
=Vreegon= Let's go see the Jedi, Mr. Qoode.

The Sakiyan had indeed set a trap. His blade sprung to life, blocking the attacks with his eyes still closed. Then, he swung the orange blade straight down.

Landrin sidesteps to the right of Brulax's swing, and strikes horizontally at his opponent's upper torso.

*Avaro does not understand what is going on, but he can tell that there must be some kind of family problem. Whatever it was, he knew that the Jedi could solve anything. They had been an immense help ever since their arrival on this world. Avaro shuddered to think what would have become of his home had the red one not arrived when he did.
"I do not know what the problem is, but I know that the Jedi can solve it."

The Jedi Master caught the blow, then flipped his wrist in a move that could send the opponent's blade out and away if they were not prepared. Then, he suddenly jumped forward and slashed at Landrin, all without opening his eyes.

Vreegon held his son's hand as they walked across the bridge.
I hope so.

Although raised to always expect the unexpected, Landrin is still surprised by his opponent's sudden mobility. He only hesitates for a half second, but it is long enough. He brings his blade back around to block, but he fails to reach it in time. The blade strikes him and the vest deactivates, signaling the end of the round.

Brulax turns back to face the young man. He walks over to the open door once more.
Good. Again.

Landrin watches Brulax and waits, trying to spot an opening before beginning his attack. He moves in a semiccircle around his opponent. Three times he circles Brulax before finally thinking he spots an opening and launching an assault. From Brulax's right side, he sends three quick attacks at Brulax's center.

Brulax takes three quick steps back as the attacks come. Then, he suddenly went on the attack, drawing an infinity loop through the air and stepping forward.

Landrin sidesteps Brulax's spinning blade. He uses his blade to block Brulax's and tries to halt his advance. Landrin kicks his foot out and tries to trip Brulax with a leg sweep.

The Grand Protector arrived with his son just in time to see the lightsabers clash.
-Kelko- Wow! Dad look!
-Vreegon- I see son. Pay attention. Master Ruso is the finest warrior in the galaxy. I personally saw him take on whole armies when we travelled together. Same with Master Nadon, for that matter. He is very wise. You will learn a lot from them.
-Kelko- OK Dad.

The technician had a boring job. He came in 12 times per his eight hour shift and checked gauges. There was nothing to do of it really. Nothing ever changed. Until today. One tank was normally opened and empty. Today, it was fogged up. That was odd. He didn't know of anyone new coming it. When he wiped the glass, the Rodian could see that the person was wearing armor-make that Mandalorian armor. It was scarlet and gray, but sure enough, that distinctive T-shaped visor sat next to the person's left hand, right next to the lightsaber. Lightsaber? He moved to the head and wiped. He could not believe what he saw: red skin. This was the Sakiyan Jedi Master who defended Rodia. Why was he dressed in armor? And why was he cryogenically frozen?
The scientist went over and checked the gauges. It had been set, probably by the Jedi himself. Everything seemed normal. He was perfectly preserved. Next to the controls lay a datapad. He tried to turn it on, but it was encrypted with some kind of mutating algorithm.
Now knowing what else to do, he went over and picked up the phone. He hesitated, trying to decide who to alert. Police? Media? Military? He decided first and foremost to obey the basic rule of Rodia: leave Jedi business to the Jedi. He called the temple.

Oraltor is sitting in the greenhouse of the temple, deep in meditation. He knew that this day was a long time in coming. He had tried his best to dissuade Brulax from this course of action, but in the end, Brulax made the decision for himself. The comlink begins to beep. Oraltor wastes no time to answer it.
So he has finally done it. I am on my way.
