Equator City was a major city and former capital city of Rodia located on the equator. It had a gambling complex operated by the part of the cartel that was dedicated to money laundering, controlled by Black Sun. The Flip of the Credit casino was also based there. The city was also home to the prestigious concert hall known as the Holosseum.

*Oraltor wakes up from his trance. He looks around the greenhouse in the temple and breathes in the fresh air. He looks at Landrin.
"It is time for you to begin your combat training.
*He leads his padawan to the lowest floor of the temple, the cargo bay. Once there, he finds a training lightsaber and a shield training vest and hands them to Landrin.
"Master Ruso will guide you in the intricacies of the lightsaber."

*Brulax had been standing, ready. As a matter of disciple, he often spent time just being still. Oraltor's presence aroused him from his meditation enough to hear the words. Using the force, he floated the vest over to himself, and then drew his lightsaber. Normally, he had to being with basics. But Landrin carried a sword, so Brulax wanted to see where he was at by nature. He activated his own vest, then the blade.*
Begin.

*Avaro climbs the stairs to the Grand Protector's office. Most people would use the turbolift, but climbing the stairs helps clear Avaro's mind. It gives him time to ponder his sudden change in fortune. Not long ago he had been an outcast from his own village because he had the audacity to dream of a better life for himself. Now, although at the time he doubted he would be successful, he has procured for himself a job at Grand Protector Vreegon's side. Soon he arrives at the top floor and straightens out his clothes. He takes a deep breath and knocks on the door to Vreegon's office.
"You wished to speak with me, sir?"

*Landrin takes the vest from Master Nadon and turns it on before claiming the training saber he has been offered. He knows how dangerous these blades can be, for he once had a friend who wielded his blade with exceptional skill. Alas, that had not been able to postpone his fate. He had died on Corellia. How long ago had it been? Had it really been a year now since his entire crew had been slaughtered by a mysterious enemy? And still, Mia was missing. He had not succeeded in tracking down her abductor.
Many would interpret his current actions to be those of a man who had given up hope of ever tracking down his enemy. On the contrary, Landrin had realized that the Galaxy was too large a place to search without a little extra help.
He turns o face Brulax, deciding it better to start on the offensive, He had wielded a sword many times in the past, and while he was not a master at it, he was by no means an amateur either. He swings his blade toward Brulax's legs before breaking off at the last second and instead targets his upper torso.

Vreegon, Grand Protector of Rodia, sat in his office in the capitol with his son, Kelko. Kelko had spent a lot of time with his father recently, after getting into some trouble at home. Vreegon was tired, having spent many a sleepless night discussing his son with his wife. When Avaro entered, he stood.
My son and I were going for a walk through the city. I want you to join us, to keep me company.

Brulax took a half-step back toward the main door before catching the blade with his own, simply pushing back with his superior strength.

*Salnor knew that making a wager against Shiar rarely paid out for him, but the odds were in his favor and he always loved to gamble....

*Landrin makes sure that the push will not put him in harms way before he turns his own blade on and off real fast in order to create an opening for himself. He aims a quick strike from above at Brulax's arm.

Brulax was not surprised by the tactic, as he had used it himself, but he was somewhat surprised that someone knew to the weapon would think of it. Brulax quickly bent his arm, so that the blade passed harmlessly through the crook of his elbow, then took a step back. He nodded with respect, before stepping up and aiming a diagonal slash at Landrin's right shoulder.

Vreegon began his walk, leading the two others out of the capitol, starting near the Protector Hall, the local HQ of the Rodian Regiment and Protector's Brigade. He continued toward the Flip of the Credit, then began to follow the river.
Avaro, what is the hardest decision you've ever made?

*Avaro walked beside to the Grand Protector. Vreegon's question caught him off guard a little, but this question was one he did not hesitate to answer.
"A couple months ago, I decided to leave behind my village and everything I have ever known in order to come here and seek you out, my lord. In doing so, I earned the scorn of my parents, friends, even my own brother. He eventually tried to kill me in order to stop me. Have you ever had a sibling turn on you like that? "

*Landrin crosses his right foot over his left while bringing his blade to block Brulax's. He pivots his body around where Brulax is standing and strikes at the spot where Brulax's back had been when he started his movement.

*Oraltor watches his padawan with disappointment. He still relied too much on his own skills and had yet to learn to let the force guide his actions. Maybe this session would help him see that.

Brulax with quiet ease watched the pivot, and when the swing came, he simply reached out with his right hand and caught the hilt in his vice-like grip. Then he gently reached over with his left hand and tapped Landrin's shield.
Good. Again.
Brulax then stepped back, his blade down by his side, and waited for the next round to being.

Vreegon shook his head at the memory. Brother. Friend. Father-in-law. This last one drew a look from Kelko, who had not heard that story, as the Grand Protector and his wife had elected not to tell the children about their grandfather's attempts on their father's life. But, Vreegon had never been accused of being overly clever, and certainly not deceitful. Vreegon sighed deeply. This is what I try so hard to fight against, tribal loyalties that cause us to kill each other. I've seen the galaxy. There are enough things trying to kill us there without us trying to kill each other.
