Im gnna take a wild stab in the dark and say something like, oh I dunno, real life. You know. Work. School. That knd of thing. Rebuilding a site from scratch probably isn't the easiest/fastest thing to do. How about a "Thank Whills for all the hard work you put in and didn't get paid for so we could use this free site."? Or am I asking too much? Nice "welcome" there. I took 10 minutes of my time to create a joke from scratch, just to prove a point. I appreciate the free time that the Whills put into the site like everyone but think that user updates might have been very helpful. Thank you to all the Whills for getting the site up and running again but is requesting a red skin too much at this point?  I hate blue!
Honestly, none of us care if we recieve a thank you. We don't expect gratitude. And we KNOW that this took long than it should have. We apologise for that. We do. But until you've ACTUALLY done it yourself, please don't be too judgemental.
And yes, we'll be continuing to work on the coding, forums, and dare I say it... even the colour scheme  |

It was only an experiment/joke Odin created by someone who has no experience in forum organisation. I did thank you in my post and genuinely mean it, I was worried the site and therefore community was going to die this way. Maybe try to keep us updated if the site dies again? It'd be cool.

Yes, we plan to add other color schemes at some point soon. I would think red, green, and grey to start.
Honestly, one reason we didn't provide updates early on is that there was nothing new we could report. We had to wait while Furas analyzed the situation, determined the old site couldn't be fixed, and then located the best place to host the site, keeping in mind cost as well as available features and stability. We want this to be as permanent a solution as possible, so it needed to be somewhere that could handle the load, which our old server couldn't.

Ok, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say something. Why do we need any explanations for anything? Why can't we just be happy and enjoy the new site that was put together for us? Is it too much to ask for a little appreciation for having a FREE SITE that allows us to express our creativity in ways that no other site on the web offers in this way? *believe me, Ive tried a few....and none are like this.* I don't think Dace was biting anyone's head off, but damn, leave the admins alone, and just enjoy what we have, eh?
Basically, put on the big boy/girl panties , pull em up tight, and let's get back to business, shall we? We have JvS again...the wait..the updates...they are all irrelevant at this point. We have it back, we are gonna be able to write again. THAT is the point. With the reception that I've been seeing so far, in the first couple hours of a beta test in essence, people are whining and complaining. Just stop it, ok?
