Also, masterful chilly one, I remember it came up on old JvS about the titles for the profile fields (Appearance, Biography, etc) being aligned to be level with the middle of the field, and it was changed to be level with the top of the field. Is that possible here, too? Yes. I'm planning to give the profiles a facelift, including fixing the alignment of the field names.

BBCode should now work on profiles. Let me know if you find any bugs. I tried to match the codes we had on the old site. The list is configurable. Hey just wanted to let you know that the BBCode didn't work in my profile! Not sure if I effed something up or if it's not all working the way it should be yet. Just thought I'd let you know since I tried! What browser and operating system are you using? What profile field and what bbcode did you try to use?

Btw, I'm not sure if anyone knew already, but it was mentioned that BBCode doesn't work in profiles atm.
But mine is...green and brown (horrible colors for the background, but it is working).

I tried using the BBCode in the spaceship section of the profile. And I'm using Firefox on Windows 7 :)

My laptop died in the 3 month JvS blackout, so I don't have an avatar or old notes to go by yet, but I'm so glad we're back to normal, mostly.
Shenanigans at the Forest Moon will resume shortly.

I added a little bit of space between each field, too.

Fantastic work guys. I'm really excited to get back to writing... eventually.
Just a couple quick questions if you've got the time. 1) Is a chatbox on this website a permanent no-go or is there any possibility for one in the future? 2) Is there a way to save font color preferences or anything without having to use them each time you get on? For people who might like a certain color, will they just have to save the bbcode?
Thanks guys, and awesome work.

Is a chatbox on this website a permanent no-go or is there any possibility for one in the future? We're definitely hoping to work something out, but we haven't found a solution that we're confident it ... yet. 2) Is there a way to save font color preferences or anything without having to use them each time you get on? The best thing I can suggest for right now is to save them in the Personal Notes section of your profile, or in a PM. Which doesn't help much, I know.

Just tried both of them, and both look great! Much easier on the eyes than the blue. I think I'm gonna stick with silver. Thanks Chill!

Thank you for the prompt response. And you have helped; thank you. One of those things to do yeah, what Chill said or you could always go to your "settings" tab and change your posting default to BBCode and on that space enter the color you usually use?
It'll pop up each time you write on the quick reply box or whenever you are writing a post. At least that is one of the solutions, easiest solutions I have found.

Hey there Chill (or someone who is smarter than me and has figured out how and has the time), Would you be able to post a tutorial about using the bbcode for profiles or in some cases posts? Constant question I hear is how to post pictures in profiles: [img]image url goes here[/img] I am particularly looking at formatting things however. I found the proboards add style and formatting page, but after an hour or two of trial and error with these codes, I still cannot figure out how to get my profile the way I want it to look. (Images and urls are behaving, but not alignment, font color, etc.) Almost every code I try works on the message board or in my signature box, but not in the other profile boxes. Do the profile boxes have the capability of interpreting more than image and url codes? Also, just noticed some of my codes on the boards turn into something else if I switch between the BBCode and preview views. example: typing in: [url=http://www.proboards.com/forum-help-guide/bbcode]proboards add style and formatting[/url] now looks like this after a preview: [a href="http://www.proboards.com/forum-help-guide/bbcode"]proboards add style and formatting[/a] My lack of programming experience is confusing me. So if someone has time to produce it, maybe a BBCode tutorial could be something to put up in the traveler's guide for newbies or oldies who are experiencing coding misunderstanding/dementia?
