If destroying two planets and slaughtering thirty-two million innocent lives isn't considered Evil, then I wonder how far I would have to go before being considered villainous in the eyes of the Republic. Perhaps three planet's? Maybe more? I was only aware of one, and that OOC, and don't worry YOU are definitely on the Evil list, I was merely stating that calling an entire culture evil is a generalization, and one that will likely get you into a lot of trouble if carried on for to long.

Oh goodie. I'd hate to have not made it on the naughty list this year.

It has been a pleasure to get to know you as well, and you made the challenge a mutual one, for which I am grateful. God speed and God bless as you move into a new chapter of your life, literally.

Hi guys!
So after the Mando War comes to a close, the cold war is going to start and a large part of that relies on Sinistra and dealings with the Republic that force her to form the Galactic Empire. I'll need to deal with someone who can speak with authority on behalf of the Republic so a little higher than a senator, like a committee chairman or something. Although, being slighted by the Republic is also a good way for her to declare Republic worlds enemies of the state.
Anyone interested?
I can NPC this if no one is wanting the RP but I'd rather have the political dealings, as I enjoy them.

Is Chancellor too high? I can try and make a Senator on a random committee if that isn't ideal. or Darma (VC) would be great.

Not at all, I just didn't want to demand that it had to be a certain character or another. I'd love to have a heated discussion with you over the fate of my people.

Which people is that? The Kuati? The Dark Tide? Either way, I would not mind a comm call. The VC should be coming soon into my chambers to report that the military council has decided to bring medical relief to the peaceful citizens of Kuat. And a Master Jedi will be coming as well to the chambers. It'll be good group to have a convo with.

The Kuati yes, but also the other worlds of DT that have seen attacks from the Mandos. As much as you want to be humanitarian, I'm hoping the Republic will deny her expanded requests or to put restrictions on the help like DT would have to surrender their planets to the Republic. I need us to be at odds or else the Cold War fails before it starts. The actual conversation I'm willing to just roll with.

Hello all, not to interrupt a conversation already going on, but I just resuscitated this character/division from JvS under a different name. I'm honestly too lazy to click the button and go find their old name, but the 401st as I'm rebuilding them are supposed to have a reputation for efficiency and brutality. Think of them as the love children of the Soviets and Sherman's army in the American Civil War. Always putting down small rebellions on the fringe of Republic territory with brutal efficiency, always leaving scorched earth behind, always called before committees to answer for alleged atrocities, and always sent out to squash another rebellion.
When you get a moment, I'm looking for any suggestions as to where to put them at the moment or SLs they can be woven into. Or even just permission to drop them somewhere and cause trouble in the name of "peace" and all that.
Many thanks!

Ooo, I like this. Very opportune timing. Though not a lot of active coals in the fire. I could bring in the 401st as a hush hush asset of the military and garrison them in some place where the Mandos or DT 'accidently' run into them. Maybe use them as 'peaceful' escorts of the Kuati relief and sparks fly. Very interesting. You have a point person to send as a rep and we can make IC contact and start a history/rapport?

I doubt "hush, hush" will work as in my mind, wherever they go, the Holonet news crews follow to record the body count and demand inquiries/courtmarshals. The kind of army that you drop on a planet with a difficult insurgency/revolution to deal with quickly before it might spread to another planet. I may need to readjust their fleet/numbers when I take a look at the JvS army and fleet size rules.
Either way, I do have at least one NPC kind of set up, sure. General Mikael Gonn.

Atia, I will say up front I am a sub-par combat writer and this account was made for me to get some practice in that. However, if you want the 401st to show up at the outbreak of rebellion and drop a few thousand iron fists, make a few mass graves, and generally make life hell before leaving, I got no problem with that. Could also make a nice additional powderkeg to add to this Civil War. Big enough to make people angry, but just shy of doing enough damage to cause an all out war...
Unless Cihlbar has another use for me before the rebellion starts.
Quick side question for anyone with more experience with fleets/armies: I looked at the rules of the personal armies and if I'm reading it right, I can make the 401st 50,000+ strong?!?! Please correct me if I'm wrong when it comes to this. My only other concern is the fleet required to move them all. I attached a Star Destroyer as their current transportation but if I expand them up to 50,000+ men, am I allowed to throw in transport ships to carry them? Unarmed of course.

Hey Guys, Sorry I was holding you all up in the military committee. I had a lot of personal stuff going on in real life that hit at the same time. Nevertheless, I posted leaving the chambers so we can move on with the other senate stuff.

Yes the army can be 50k+ troops, no you are not allowed to add unarmed transports to the fleet to carry them. That rule was repealed late in 1.0. I suggest finding something along the lines of a Lucrehulk.

Well as Atia mentioned some people are writing on Corulag, the overarching SL is a popular uprising spearheaded by the Imperial Military that throws out the Republic government and reinstates Imperial oligarchy on the world… It's progressing quite well and a few pages ago I believe I mentioned it? and I think it got buried? But since Atia mentioned it again, I'll explain it again and answer any questions
Since I was the first person to the write on the world I took some liberties for the SL such as saying the planet is currently a member of the Galactic Republic and such.
But I knew you guys were stretched and since I wasn't invading your territory or attacking any of your writers or anything, I figured we could just continue on and let it progress as a semi-closed SL.
So again, if you have any questions I'm free to answer them, but I don't think that this really infringes upon anything you're doing

Darma: Thanks for the Lucrehulk idea. Never would've thought of that!
Nase: I wouldn't dream of dropping the 401st on Corulag without your permission and an overarching goal. If it's the spark the ignites the Cold War or one of several (Maybe like a Soviets in Afghanistan kind of thing) that escalates tensions but doesn't lead to an all-out war, then that might serve the purpose quite well. Drop a few bombs, maybe roll over the PDF/local militias in a blitzkrieg and only to get our butts kicked when Sin and the GE sends in Force user "advisors"/heavy arms? Could be fun!
Again, this assumes Cihlbar doesn't have a need for me anywhere else.
