Shit man, I believe in you so I can wait a bit more. Good to see lifesigns at least There. Posted. I skipped ahead like we discussed -- feel free to add your own narrative for any details I forgot. I just wanted to get ahead to the meeting, since that's the important part. Vice-Chancellor Darma, will you still be joining us?

As soon as we're officially adjourned, I will have Bel'fima learn of Ryloth's fate. That said, Ryloth has been moving slowly, so we aren't ready for reinforcements yet, so no action will be required, only knowledge of the attack.

Mr. Cihlbar: depending on your IC schedule, what would you think of maybe having military tribunal/court convened on the 401st for "alleged war crimes." Whatever you want to make those crimes, I'll go along with them. Keep me on my toes so to speak i can establish the general's character and maybe set up a backstory of recent campaign history, Cihlbahr knows the 401st is available for Kuat or Corulag at a later date?

Has Darma adjourned yet? Will you mind coming to my office and reporting out the Committee's resolution, please? and 401st, have a commander report to my office as well. We will cook up some light reprimands for misconduct or the like.

Yeah, let him command a brothel for a month, as punishment. You know how much soldier types hate brothels...

Yeah, we've adjourned the military committee. I just had Belf'ima learn of the attack on Ryloth, so he learned of it too. Sel, we're positioning you as chief prostitute, and by that, we mean the most frequently used. Enjoy.

Who doesnt like to be popular, Crom? Koronov/Ragnella, your up on coruscant and corellia. Crom, I know that the Kala'uun hangar is closed, locked, barricaded, sealed, and finally: Very thoroughly closed. But.... How about the Palisades and gates that go out into the cave sistems? How well defended are those?

As far as I can determine, they aren't really. They aren't big enough for a ship, so they aren't watched. That's what I've used to move from city to city before, so you're all good.

Sinistra has landed at the senate for a meeting with the Chancellor. Should that be in the Mon Cal office? It seems like there should be a Supreme Chancellor office for who ever has it at that point in time.

yes, that's the Mon Cal's Office, And I've thought about it, but I've been to busy to bring the idea up. Maybe we can get those made soon. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll see how feasible it is.

There seems to be a General from the 401st in there. Shall Sinistra take a seat?

Belf'ima's in her office ready to meet with Koronov. Who knows? We may be ready by summer.
BTW, Sin, will you be addressing the Senate at large?

I don't really have a preference. I can address the Senate or have a closed door meeting with the Chancellor and VC. Honestly, I'm up for whatever has the best chance for regular posting so that the Cold War and Galactic Empire can get off the ground.

Ok since there has been a couple days since my original post and I've gotten no answer here to the questions I've asked, here's what's going to happen.
I know Cihlbar is just a placeholder because people need someone to interact with as Will has said numerous times previously. I'm going to address the Senate at large. Anyone who wants to question Sin or refute her stance can chime in. I will allow what I feel is an adequate time to receive a post back before I post again. I will post some NPC senators from systems not on JvS as being opposed to her plans if no one responds to me. If you want in, you need to move fast. Darksiders tend to post quickly and we don't like to be kept waiting. I don't need long posts, I just want reactions so I can keep the SL moving. The whole Cold War is hanging on this to start.
So I will post in the Senate tonight. Join if you want.

Ugh, Sin is right. I can't keep with anything more than light RP which has nit been serving you guys well at all. Like Sin said, only reason I took the job was so someone had it and the senate could still function. At the time there too many Jedi writing for the senate, and then then the senate wanted to become it's own thing. But it kept puttering off for obvious reasons. I only took the job to save the Senate, and I failed that too.

It's ok, you've done a good job, it's just that the Senate is not a huge RP draw for people and that's fine. I think the most workable solution at the moment is for there to be an NPC Chancellor and/or VC whose actions IC are governed by the opinions and SL's that people bring up in this thread.
That way, you can post something here, get a feeling for how Republic minded people might react then have the NPC Chancellor react that way in your posts. Kinda crowd source how the Senate would view your actions. That way everyone gets to put forward a general direction for the Republic but no one is stuck having to play the Chancellor when they don't have the time or muse to do it.
If someone in the future wants the job, it is open for them to take it.
EDIT: Just as an aside, this is a hobby, a pasttime and something that is supposed to be fun. Don't ever take up something because you feel you have to because that is the surest way to feel like JvS is a burden. If anyone is feeling like they are burdened with something they have undertaken, they need to bring it up in the OOC planning threads to let others know their feeling and get some help to alleviate the problem. If it means we have to go to more NPC'ed things like councils and chancellors, then so be it but I would rather see a relaxed user base enjoying their SL's than a stressed out bunch who quit because they got stuck writing the things they don't like doing.
This goes for everyone. I've seen a lot of people burn out on this place in the last year. Let's not force things on people. If we need to make changes so be it. But bottom line, we need to have fun in what we are doing and if we aren't, we need to be able to express that and work on it as a community because that is what we are.

Right, I agree. But there is a certain level of responsibility that we as original must take as leaders in the community to help foster growth and experience for new authors.
But yes, if someone would like to take Chancellorship, I would love to facilitate a smooth and responsible transition.
