You mistake my reasoning for pointing that post out and the purpose of the IC HNN. Just because JvS no longer has it's own version of HNN due to lack of interest and the like, doesn't mean that our IC universe lacks that very same reporting agency or the ability to transfer information via the HoloNet. As it seems that you've already made your choice, I won't push or pursue the matter further - for I've already said my piece there. Now, intimately knowing the details of the issues faced by the Republic due to the various levels of interest, perhaps it might be time to overhaul the entire organization to adapt and fit to these turbulent times. Have an NPC take over as Supreme Chancellor and the subsequent ruling body, so the pressures of command lay not upon a single person's shoulder. Ideally no one would be sitting around waiting for that person, since all they would have to do is post their character's interactions with this NPC 'gathering' shall we say. That would leave people, including interested Jedi parties that may desire to lead platoons of soldiers or entire armada's, with the breathing room required to have a bit of fun with how they go about being the Good Guys, rather than endure the additional stresses of trying to keep people interested in something that may be held in little regard by the ruling cabinet. Now, that's my two cents, so please do with it as you will; but should this be the path that the Republic believes may be its saving grace, I'm more than willing to help it get off the ground in anyway I can. Yes, I'm one of the foremost supporters of the Empire, but that doesn't mean I am not interested in helping out my enemy regain their footing for the inevitable clash that will occur. I'd prefer having an enjoyable challenge when the Empire and Republic eventually butt heads, than a pointless slaughter.

Cihl, I'm talking privately to a friend of mine about coming in and taking the Chancellorship. If he will take it and commit, he'd do a great job. He's an old vet from 1.0, and is coming in with a newer character if his RL clears up any. If he can't take it, then I will, with Belf'ima coming in as Senator, now doing good out from under Crom'nen. Or if others would prefer, we can do the NPC route. The only issue I have is that it is hard to give such a character a "voice," unless we generate some consistent details about personality and political stances. But you have to promise me that Cihlbar will stay a Senator, (active as you can). Otherwise we're sticking you with it to keep you from leaving! I do agree with Gideon. If Sin made a public press announcement, we should know about it. This is like that the USA and USSR knew about elections, etc. going on within each other's countries.

I see your point with the HNN. OOC I just had no clue to even look, only indicators were topics in the planning thread. I can post about knowing it. And move on.
I am a capable leader. I just lack a creative and literary vision to lead a circle of authors towards a cohesive and collective goal in our little corner of the site.
only reason I have this account is cause the GR needed more Senators and we needed a Chancellor. It is well beyond my term, we need more support, more vision, and more . . .more. I don't have it to give. But I can, for the time being, be an influential senator in the galaxy. Travel in the name of the Republic to potential allies and enemies alike. Be a political hostage. Be an advocate for the Jedi.

You are a capable leader, and we've been proud to have you. And we need an advocate for the Jedi. Crom'nen is bitter against them, but Bel'fima would be better. Ludo Karesh would also be pro-Jedi as a Chancellor.

I will try to bring back Koronov soon. But it may be a few weeks more before I can really give him a lot of attention. Cihl and Crom'nen, I am fine with whatever you decide regarding the Chancellorship. Just make sure that it makes sense IC and I'll be happy.

Not a thing. Yeah...
But, the battle of Ryloth is officially over as of now. Crom'nen will be back to Coruscant soon, back to mass manipulation and destruction.

Hi guys! Its me again, the pesky Reptilian.
Sooooo.... whats up?
BTW, Crom, can I be douchey enough to burden you more? Atia wants an agent inside the senate, and... well, seeing how 99 percent of her Banshees look like, the logical choice is... ryloth. I am not saying this wont be used if Atia ever finds out about the connection between worm and Crom, but....... looks like the most logical choice still. If you are up for it, that is.

Love you long time BR, but so have I I am seriously asking guys... whats up? You guys are saying that you are low on writers. Here is one that want to join. You are low on fleets, Here is one that wants to join. Have been wanting since long time ago now. I know that IC it is not a so easy thing to do, but as a writer I promise I do not intend any harm to the republic. At least not for the forseeable future, and damn right I will tell you beforehand when Sel wants to become evil sith again officially. So... can I pull sel out of his near 6 months long void and start acting as a trial period genera-admiral thing or......... what?

I'm like the slutty girl at the prom. Everyone wants to dance with me.
Seriously, we need to get Sel in and active. And we need to decide what kind of RP we can do in the Senate. As soon as I can get Crom'nen dirtside, I plan on starting a public hearing of him verses the Jedi. That should allow everyone to participate. In the mean time, does anyone have any SL ideas?

Sorry Crom, you're not the slut; you're just the only gal on the floor, and only half ugly too, . Umm, I don't have anything on the back burner right now, but we can come up with something I'm sure. Would the Vor be willing to perform early recon of the Empire for us? If yes then I can run a short SL organizing that and then you can report to the military council when that's done. Other wise the only thing that comes to mind off the top of my head would be some kind of trade summit to build the republic's economy... that we could all participate in.

Yea, I am really not trying to tell people what to do, if you have an idea I can help with-- then I can try to get you plugged in. But it is tough for me to work with "use me somewhere" without an existing story for me to plug you into.
I am having a convo with Darma, laying out the "new vision" of the leadership of the Republic. If you want to read over the last bit of the conversation and maybe cherry pick something that looks good to you to help restore the glory of the Galactic Republic. Biggest reason I've posted that was to show a fed up Chancellor with strong opinion for people to rally behind, or condemn and oust-- or may be even assasinate.
Crom, if you really want to help, hustle back!! go through a split timeline if you have to.

yes Yes YES! YEEEESSSSS!!!!!
Sel Could do the recon, could even be sent to nubia to exert that economic and military aid he has been babbling about. And by military aid, I dont mean go there and kill everything that doesnt do as he wants, I intend to set up a short martial law to calm the city down while fixing the economic situation.
and I am ottaly for that reacon.
Sooooo, Crom, anything against me trying to put an agent in your service?

Okay, we'll run with the recon SL then, ummm. Quick question, what planets do the Empire control, to our, the Republic's, knowledge? I know about some worlds like Kuat, and Korriban are technically in the empire, but I'm not sure what goes where when it comes to the sithy factions, sorry.
