And I foresee me being tackled to the ground by overenthusiastic rescuers because I failed to see a red dot on my forehead

Let's be realistic. There are enough bastards around here that at least one of the folks doing the tackling would be the real assassin.

Considering the company that may be there at this prospective charity ball, I doubt the celebrity would be Alpharius' target.
And red dot sights are so pre- Republic era.

A rusty knife? No, no, no my friend. You'll want a spoon - because it'll hurt more.

Forgive my intrusion on your thread here, but I believe that it would make sense to let the GR know that as the Sovereign ruler of Serenno; I am declaring Serenno neutral from the GR and the GE very shortly. This should open up some dialogue to put a carbonite freeze on some Cold War feelings and perhaps get the story rolling. Perhaps I will get an Embassy thread for each and have an diplomatic hand tying ordeal like Manaan in KoTOR? If this sounds like a plan let me know, either way I am declaring Serenno neutral. And Mygeeto and Muunilist will be joining in, even though there is no Mygeeto thread.

We should seriously consider inviting a pair of Jedi, except one of the Jedi is actually a Sith, whom we mistakenly invite anyway, because we wish to be politically correct, and hear out all opinions and viewpoints. It's a touch of irony since my father is a Sith too, and I'm learning from the Jedi.
That aside, should we reach out to wealthy patrons who are secretly kingpins and criminal rulers for donations? Ryloth does need a lot of help.
Hmm, in light of the fact that a Jedi is being put on trial, perhaps it would not be a good idea to invite actual Jedi. I say actual since I honestly do not count, openly anyways. But they could arrive uninvited. And since when do Sith need an invitation anyhow?
Oh, who's organizing the charity ball? And where? Am I allowed to participate?
I realize I should ask just for clarification. Terribly sorry if I seemed presumptuous.

Since I took up this bright idea, I am going to pull in a squad of Banshees who act as friendly benefectors and organisers of this event. Kinda like a wealthy independent woman would want to enter the elite social life in normal ways.
I am organising it, as soon as I get to coruscant. I am doing bottom to top today.
my spys in the empire will put a bug in their ear about the charity ball. Not all the jedi are on trial, just one.
I shall look over the coruscant threads, see which needs some action and decide on that where it will be. It should start in a week. Especially since I will be gone a month or two from mid aug, untill I buy a lappy.

Somewhere in the galactic city? Or should it be held at the Senate building? Let it be a function for all the rich and elite, summoning much attention from everyone?
And Count, I love the idea.

Holding the function at the 500 Republica may do the trick, since the old boards are down and the thread didn't make the transfer, perhaps we can put a request in to rectify that error?
I mean, what better place for this than one of the most opulent buildings in the known galaxy?

Wouldnt the senate building be used for the trial?
I kinda want to be done with the charity ball in the coming 3 weeks because I will be gone for a month or two after that. Will try to fix stuff so I am not needed under that time.

So I will be invading a random Republic planet and raiding most of its valuables. Please have opposition present,
With love, Major
In all seriousness, some random encounters will be nice. Please set up defenses accordingly.

I wonder which world she'll pick...
If it isn't one that currently has a defense force, perhaps my Tionese flotilla can be dispatched to repel these raiders.

I suppose i'll follow suit with the Count's post...
For all of you who don't know i've been writing on Corulag for quite some time. Corulag has since the reign of Palpatine been a very pro-imperial world with it's population being described as "model imperial citizens." It is home to an Advanced Sienar Fleet Systems Research Compound where the TIE DEfender was first designed and produced, the Corulag Academy is located there as well which trained Imperial Army and Imperial Navy. Aside from the aforementioned institutions, it was also home to many Imperial corporations.
In my SL/timeline Corulag used to be part of the 4th GE (formerly known as the Imperial Remnant based out of the Deep Core) however the Republic defeated the Imperials there in an unspecified way and forced most Imperials from the Ringali Shell (a system that contained Corulag, Chandrilla, Brentaal and Ralltiir).
However, because the Republic was conscientious of the strong Imperial culture, they allowed the "Corulag Accords" to be signed which allowed Imperials who are native to Corulag to remain there as an auxiliary garrison force relegated to strictly defensive assignments to defend their homes.
General Talsey and a Cadre of senior Imperial officers have been scheming in secure to destabilize the Republic's control of the planet for an eventual revolution. A popular political party called "The Sons of the Empire" have been gaining public support from population centers across the planet.
Corulag suffers from economic strife, an increase in crime and slander/propoganda directed towards the Republic govt.
I'm just posting this here if you're interested in working with me in the coming day/weeks/months and if you'd like to make some IC comments regarding the situation there.
